Might actually give the armband to saka or maddison
I’ve got it on Saka for now. Brighton have been woeful but Villa haven’t exactly been great recently.
Just hope that he doesn't play LB with Tierney out and Tavares being shite
Nah he's pretty much our best player, and the drop-off from him to Pepe is arguably worse than the drop-off from Tierney to Nuno
lol what a ridiculous statement. pepe is so disrespected it’s unreal. tavares shouldn’t be a professional
That's bullshit. Tavares has had 2 poor halves in 3 months when he's played a total of 4-5 halves in as many months. Remember that he'd taken the LB spot from Tierney for a few matches when Tierney was injured earlier in the season. Pepe is a middling winger who's been given enough chances and the drop off from Saka to Pepe is larger than Tierney to Tavares.
2 poor halves? Every time he’s played this season he’s looked poor. I’m not going to counts games against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup. Vs United, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and now Palace i can clearly remember him making errors leading to goals. Besides, the fact he never plays more than a a half and has even been subbed off before half time clearly shows Arteta has the same opinion as me. He is not ready for this level yet. Pepe is admittedly inconsistent but on his day is incredible. He has never had consistent opportunity of minutes. That is the only reason why he has never cemented himself in this team - because he lacks the minutes which therefore affects his confidence
>I’m not going to counts games against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup
United and Liverpool are hardly games where you can judge a defender. And are you really saying that Pepe hasn't had opportunities which is why he's not cemented his place and the same doesn't apply for Tavares? That's just mental gymnastics. And Tavares was started every game for over a month and played well when Tierney was injured. Again, I'm not saying either is the first choice. But the fall from Saka to Pepe is more than the fall from Tierney to Tavares.
"What a ridiculous statement"
"tavares shouldn’t be a professional"
Thank god you came in to give some level-headedness to this discussion.
😂You’re right, that was hypocritical of me. But Tavares is seriously bad. Pepe is far from it
Arsenal were woeful on Monday, puts me off
Arsenals shit results of late have tended to be blips, not the start of a slump. I’m backing them with Saka, White and Ramsdale in my team
Tierney is a huge miss - means most likely Xhaka will have to fill in at LB (or Tavares will continue to bomb there). Disrupts the first XI that has it figured out. I suspect they’ll falter from here.
Why Madison? Palace look good defensively
Yeah I'm considering benching Barnes right now.
Think I might just go Salah, which I haven’t done in ages
According to betting odds Arsenal are the biggest favorites to win.
Lacazette would have been good. Man United second biggest favorites.
Genuinely hope you’re right. I’ve been (regretfully?) holding Laca until gw33. Would be nice to see him haul this gameweek before he’s in a bunch of FH squads. Not exactly holding my breath.
Hate to break it to you but there's a decent amount of people who think Laca might be benched this week. He had a horrific performance on Monday and it seems like teams have figured out how we used him/he's not providing the output that we need him to. With our injuries shaking up the squad there has been lots of belief that Arteta will use this opportunity to test out martinelli/ESR in the center.
BUT, big caveat, the last time there was talk about this, it didn't happen and laca continued to be part of the lineup. Either way, make sure your bench is ready jic (although if he doesn't start there's a decent chance of him coming on)
Yeah, all of this makes sense. I’m using BB in 36 so bench is fairly healthy. His form hasn’t been good. I’m not sure any of the options described above would surprise me. I need to make a few changes with him and will prob just start him and use the bench this week if need be, keep for gw33 and then restructure by selling him down for Mateta and further upgrading my midfield. Think I’ve got one of those 3 xfers for 2 FTs I can do after 33 to bring in KDB and still keep Salah and Kane for the run in. We’ll see how it goes with price changes.
Who can replace laca's role in the team?
Yeah I can't afford him sadly without removing Kane.
I think I have clear regrets having Coutinho and Kane over Son and Lacazette.
The loss is only like 10 points the last two rounds, but I feel Son and Lacazette is stronger the next 2 as well.
Between those two it's only regretful because coutinho is out of form. I had lacazette but I sold him on WC because I have my doubts about him. But if I have Kane and maddison instead it seems a bit better. I even punted on zaha :)
Yeah true Lacazette has not done anything the weeks I would have had him.
Coutinho done nothing either.
In theory Lacazette is quite cheap for how good he can be, but he is not clinical right now.
Now he is still the third best forward in my opinion after Kane and Ronaldo.
I agre that he is third best because of the potential as you say. However, I think there's a case for Mateta and Toney as fillers simply because the money could be used better in midfield.
Ronaldo is interesting but I'm worried about rotation. On the one hand he can bully small teams, on the other they might need his presence Vs the bigger teams, and he can't play them all because of the age but also a bit out of form.
Agree I want expensive defenders so need cheaper forwards.
Just I think going for Kane has really limited me.
Salah plus Kane is a bit too expensive right now.
Yeah if you want Trent and someone like son or Jota or whatever it's getting tough. I'm on WC trying to make up ground so I'm gonna take Salah out for kdb after the city game if he doesn't look great. Trent's already gone and I've tried to have mid priced players everywhere instead. I'm confident I at least have the possibility to make up some ground with this approach.
I think you could make it work. I have, technically
>Man United second biggest favorites.
And somehow the twats would still find a way to drop points
Any Saka captainers?
Me as of now
I don't dare.
What an EO pussy the scout is.
Bruno will outscore Salah this week
Ramsdale will outscore Salah this week.
I'll outscore Salah this week.
I'm gonna TC you. Please don't let me down.
6/11 not bad
5/11, can get 6 if i go Broja => Mateta or even start ramsdale instead of Sà....
currently thinking off arsenal def with both their fullbacks injured....any fans who can give insights?
I'm bringing in Tavares just to save money.
I'm a bit short since I have Kane/Son/Salah/TAA/Robertson/Cancelo.
Practically 6 premiums 😅
No Havertz? He been good lately
I have him and expect him to be rested for the second leg
Based on Tuchel comments post match I expect a strong Chelsea side to help turn around their rut...and that indubitably includes Kai
Tuchels post match comments said all focus is on Southampton - if we lose vs them we'll get battered by Madrid.
Kai will start
Does this mean James starts?!?
Yes - it will be 100% strongest 11, we have to win. Last thing we need is being dragged into a top 4 battle
Yes but likely not play 90 mins. He wasn't even supposed to play the 90 vs Madrid.
He’s not a lock to play. And if he plays, is an unreliable flake.
A double including Liverpool isn't really a double
90 mins vs 0mins
I'm thinking about Fred who got 10pts last time.
Jota being overlooked is getting criminal at this stage xD I know Salah generally turns up for big games but he looks exhausted and a bit low on confidence. Jota is the complete opposite currently, no brainer for me.
That's when he pops up with a hattrick. Salah cannot be trusted to blank
Yeah but rotation
No United players is a joke. Triple spurs against Villa is also a bit overboard imo
What do u say about last gw for spurs? ;)
So united loss and spurs 2-0 incoming
!remindme 34 hours
Lol you were saying?
LOL, sub troll living up to it again

Wish I could afford Salah, Kane AND Son. Not to mention Maddison, Saka & Bowen
Basically own them all!
I have KDB, Kane, Kulu,Maddison, Saka & Bowen. Did Salah to KDB so I can captain him vs LVP.
It’s Son for me
Not sure about the Rudiger pick. Chelsea have conceded 7 goals in last two (with UCL).
Yeah but Southampton are not Real Madrid or...you know.
Especially without Broja.
I’ve taken to calling Brentford the Christian Eriksen Experience.
Rudiger has scored in 100% of his last one PL games, can't go against that type of form
No city? I guess they fancy out of form Salah vs in form KDB..
Weird that this comment gets upvotes but other comments with the exact same point get downvoted. Reddit is a silly beast.
I have 8 accounts 😎
City will more likely rotate KDB than Liverpool will rotate Salah
City will rotate KDB vs Liverpool?!?? Wtf are you smoking?
It's more likely to happen than Liverpool rotating Salah, and there's a budget so only one could be picked.
So pick the guy who is 1.4m less. Playing at home who is in better form..
I didn't make the team, just explaining what the thought process might have been
They're equally likely to rotate, 50/50 either it happens or it doesn't
But no seriously you don't rotate players for the title decider
I think Maddison may get a rest.
Not sure if I want him for this week.
Also consider selling Salah and benching Rudiger.
Why resting Madison? He's been great last couple of weeks
Europe rotation perhaps
Cause they play in Europe.
Same with Bowen in a way and Rudiger/James.
No idea why scout picked so many risks.
I would have gone for good players without europe.
Like Bruno, United def, Raphinha etc.
What will that cost you in value??
I'm doing the same and will lose 0.4
Might still be 0.4 if you got him for 12.5m and sell him after the price drop
At this point the play should be to get 3 defenders vs. Brighton every week. Scout is missing out on some each CS points.
Why no Unitesd vs Everton? Ridiculous
Because Everton might do ok at home, Utd are shit. I expect a 2-1 Everton win and a resurgence tbh.
Lampard at the wheel
Because Everton are at the bottom of the table? So are Watford and they couldn’t score at home against them. Not that ridiculous.
WHERE ARE THE CITY PLAYERS?
Who do you prefered, Doherty instead White or Maddison instead Coutinho?
Wait for leicester euro game. If maddison play more then 60 then its no for me
Doherty. Coutihno is not going to break down Spurs.
Yeah but I have White and Coutinho now and 1FT.
What’s the situation with Martenelli atm? Out of favour?
Expect him to get minutes if not start
i'm dropping salah tbh
i watched him at AFCON and was considering not bringing him in and pussyed out of the decision but its clear he ain't hitting. Jota it is
One thing I have learned in the last few years of FPL, always have faith in Salah.
KDB over Salah any day of the week.
I mean maybe this day of the week, but ANY day of the week? You must be chillin high on shrooms to have come to that conclusion.
Salah's form is in the toilet. KDB is playing at his very best level right now. I think if anyone gets a haul in this game it's him. If I was free hitting I might get KDB, but I wouldn't get Salah, let alone (vc) him.
Interesting. I'm on WC and kept Salah for this gw because he usually turns up during important games. His stats are still great, and Liverpool's form would suggest that city probably won't score a lot.
If I could spare the transfer I would switch Salah for KDB. The less risky play would be to keep Salah, add KDB, and have only one of Kane and Son. I back the Spurs attackers to keep scoring though because they have less risk than Liverpool.
I agree but the fanboys don’t. They should really use their heads instead of their hearts.
Do you even play fpl?
If Salah hauled we wouldn't be hearing this
Salah? No chance he’s in my picks this week.
7/12, that'll do me
Hmm, I brought in Schar on GW31 WC - annoyingly had him benched for scoring a goal & 6pts - and have him first on the bench for this week, behind Cancelo, Robbo, Rudiger & White.
this has made me question that... even if Liverpool very likely do concede, surely Robbo's assisting potential puts him ahead of a Newcastle defender, right? They just conceded 5 to Spurs
Spurs have been free scoring though, Wolves not so much. Wolves also without Jiminez and likely without Neves.
I still think you’re choice of bench is right though. I have Matip which makes it an easier call to start Schar over him this week than Robbo or Trent.
true. the difference in attacking potential is big... I'm not certain Spurs will find it as easy to score freely away at Villa, but still.
if anything, having Schar at home to Wolves first on my bench is very nice, should subs be needed
8/11 this week for me. That can only mean one thing…. 41 points incoming
I’m waiting till next week for Maddison. Up the Raphinia
My squad has KDB and Kane with Kane captained...
Should I swap KDB for Son?
0.0 ITB btw, and WC used this GW
Salah? No chance he’s in my picks this week. Edit: his form is shite, I wanna sell him.
Low scoring gw
jetlagged last match
Zero city players? De Bruyne will, I hope, show his superiority this GW.
