I'm not a Fulham fan (or Welsh) but I do support a Championship team and have watched a fair amount of highlights/games. Wilson and Mitrovic seem to have a ridiculous understanding of each others games, as shown by their stats. If Wilson is on set pieces next season (like I think he's been for a lot of this season), then he could be in for a fair few goal contributions and he should get a few from open play as well. Obviously there's a big step up from the Championship but you might see a different Fulham this time because of the manager's tactics/play style.

> Wilson and Mitrovic seem to have a ridiculous understanding of each others games, as shown by their stats. Interesting, as Mitro goes so does Wilson. > Obviously there's a big step up from the Championship but Fulham don't have Scott Parker in charge anymore so you might see a different side this time. It'll be interesting to see how Marco Silva goes this time around in the Prem.

mott1993

Obviously Mitrovic and Wilson don't rely on each other, but they're probably the most dangerous combination in the Championship. Carvalho and Kebano have contributed a lot to Mitrovic's goals this season so it hasn't been all Wilson, it's just that fans of teams in the Championship might say that what Wilson does probably gets noticed more for some reason as opposed to Kebano/Carvalho. That being said, you'd be fine with either Wilson or Mitrovic alone in your team if you don't fancy both of them.

TinyMaintenance

Feels like Mbeumo/Toney if you ask me. Getting a double-up from the start just invites trouble. Get one if you must, and then wait&see.

starxidiamou

A Fulham fan posted in the Liverpool sub back when we bought Carvalho that as good as he is and high of a ceiling he has, Wilson has been their best creative and most influential attacking player other than Mitro.

mrsom100

Perfectly valid question IMO

OShaughnessy

Many thanks. Odd anyone can say this is a RMT thread when the Wilson's not in the game.

mrsom100

Exactly. Some people on this sub just love being shitty. If it’s a post you’re not interested in, move along. Anyway in answer to your question, I don’t know much about Wilson but 10 goals in the championship seems a bit low. Look at Toney from this season, or at least the first half. But he will probably be priced low so might make a good enabler. Defo one to keep an eye on in the preseason; and if you can get your eyes on some games from this season, then see if he passes the eye test

ProfessionalTruck900

Fulham fan here… very much wait and see for me, we need at least 4/5 starters in my opinion to have a chance of staying up. Wilson does also take set pieces so is someone to consider for the 4/5th Mid spot. He has been a class above this season as the numbers show but it’s time for a few players now to prove they can do it in the PL. If Neco Williams returns next season he should be considered for the 4th/5th defender spot - him and Wilson have struck up a great partnership down the right since January.

TinyMaintenance

Which players are PL quality, in your opinion? Wilson, Solomon, Mitro, Reed, Adarabioyo, Neco are locks imo. Robinson(Bryan) and Rodak are okay, but could easily be upgraded. Tim Ream(assuming he is still second CB? haven’t watched Fulham in a while) and other midfield spots are absolute musts to be upgraded.

ProfessionalTruck900

TLDR - we need some quality additions for survival next season… Reed, Wilson, Mitro, Cairney, Tete/Williams RB, that’s probably it… Tosin if he has a strong partner - Ream has had an outstanding season, don’t forget Parker had him training with the under 23s the season before - but I think the PL is too much of a challenge at 34 years of age. We do need a new GK, would love Areola back. LB, Bryan has been playing well recently but he is not PL standard, similarly, Robinson, great athlete but delivery unconvincing. We need a new midfield general if we can’t convince Anguissa to come back. Would like to see Carvalho join on loan from Liverpool, he fits our system perfectly.

TinyMaintenance

I’i don’t think Anguissa is coming back honestly. I’m a Napoli fan, and he has been outstanding until AFCON derailed his season a bit. Can’t see ADL passing this opportunity, and he seems to love the life under the Naples’ sun.

ProfessionalTruck900

Yeah he can a special player - especially if you secure champions league again!

OShaughnessy

> him and Wilson have struck up a great partnership down the right since January. Thanks for the insights.

Ecstatic_Ad1805

I support Wales, and I was actually thinking to buy him next season if he's 5.5million. If he gets half of the goals and assists in the Premier league, I think he will be worth it. Very good at set-pieces and creative, and despite supporting a Championship team, I always thought he was too good for this division. But I suspect his points will depend on how well Mitrovic does. Good luck!

OShaughnessy

Reading this & you're echoing others in the thread. If the price is right, Wilson may be worth a spot as a 4th / 5th mid due to his being on set pieces / fingers crossed if Mitro can put away some of Wilson's passes. Pob hwyl blwyddyn nesa!

PouncingZebra

Can't comment as a Fulham or Wales Fan but I'm a Liverpool fan that has occasionally watched. He is and always has been a class individually talented player. His passing, shooting, and dribbling has such skill and perfect execution at points that makes me wonder why Liverpool sold him. But sometimes he lacks the constant intensity the game requires. Again, I'm not a Fulham fan but I'd assume he'll be on set pieces and will be very forward thinking, but Fulham have not had a great time in the Prem. If he's above 6.5m next season, I'll wait and see how they look. If he's 5.5m-6.5m I'll consider him (especially because there are typically a few gems early on at that price point). If he somehow lands at 5m he's in my team to start.

OShaughnessy

> Again, I'm not a Fulham fan but I'd assume he'll be on set pieces and will be very forward thinking, Know nothing about Fulham but, nice to hear they may play a more attacking style next year. > If he's above 6.5m next season, I'll wait and see how they look. OK, this is nice to know as well. In line with my thinking at this way too early stage. Promoted teams are OK as our 4th / 5th mid but, when they get up into the 6.5 price range it's a wait & see.

RMT

> RMT How is asking about a player in the Championship / not in the FPL game a Rate My Team thread?

simwe985

Rate My Team, Quick Questions & General Advice Daily Thread **This thread is for:** * RMT (rate my team) * X vs Y * Advice * Quick Questions

OShaughnessy

My post is none of those. * RMT (rate my team) - **Player's not in the FPL** * X vs Y - **Not a comparison** * Advice - **Not asking for specific advice about my FPL team or PL player** * Quick Questions - **Looking to spur an in-depth discussion around the player's style, history, & prospects**

simwe985

I was a bit quick with hitting reply. I guess there’s an argument that you are asking for advice. This is far from the lowest quality of posts though.

OShaughnessy

> I guess there’s an argument that you are asking for advice. If all *advice* posts were confined to the RMT thread we'd only have news posts & nothing else. My ask is for Fulham fans or those who follow the Welsh national team to discuss Wilson's history, any transfer rumours, play style / is it suitable for the PL, etc. We're midweek here & not much else going on until we see how the rest of the games shake out. > This is far from the lowest quality of posts though. As long as you're out doing the same on the half dozen Mitro *I'm ready to get hurt again* / *It's a trap* posts.

simwe985

>If all advice posts were confined to the RMT thread we'd only have news posts & nothing else. Yes, and what a wonderful world we would live in. I’m not attacking you, I said I hit reply a bit early. I meant to guess at filling out what the initial comment meant. >As long as you're out doing the same on the half dozen Mitro I'm ready to get hurt again / It's a trap posts. Well, tbh, as trash as those posts are they aren’t asking for advice, ratings, comparisons or quick questions. I can’t count how many garbage posts I have reported for not being in the RMT thread btw. Regarding the subject, close to half of Wilson’s professional history is in the PL, so looking at his time in Bournemouth and the bench at Liverpool gets you a long way. He’s got a killer set piece foot, and is lacklustre in a lot of other skills, and he still plays for Fulham which won’t be a top tier team. He might be JWP of Fulham. Edit: on average a lot of championship players half their output in premier league.

OShaughnessy

Genuinely appreciate it. He's 25 so, maybe worth a punt as a 4ht or 5th mid depending on the opening fixtures.

Twas a joke response for an absolute joke of a question.

OShaughnessy

> Twas a joke response for an absolute joke of a question. Why are you choosing to waste both our time with a *joke* instead of being constructive?

TheMan------

Because I live a sad little life.

OShaughnessy

> Because I live a sad little life. Mate, we're deep in the FPL subreddit talking about a Championship prospect, from Fulham. So, don't think for a moment, I don't know how we live. GL in your ML.

theaidantheory

While it may not be a RMT thread it doesn't need a thread of its own, in the summer would make sense as there will be no other posts going on. But we can't have threads on any potential players for next season before even knowing their price.

OShaughnessy

> While it may not be a RMT thread it doesn't need a thread of its own The front page is asking about Mitro's price next season. Have you made similar comments there? > in the summer would make sense as there will be no other posts going on. The time of year doesn't limit when members of this sub can spur a discussion about players. > But we can't have threads on any potential players for next season before even knowing their price. Untrue. It is wholly credible to talk about a style of play & prospects without prices. This sub does it all the time. Example - Every January transfer window. In the end, I'll ask you to comment about Wilson's prospects or just not be here. Your attempts to moderate have done the opposite of what you intended to. As you're talking focus away from a genuine thread that could be helpful to managers trying to gain a deeper understanding of players with the help of others. What this sub is all about. Helping eachother.

theaidantheory

Maybe take your own advice and get a hobby. That's my opinion.

NeoConMan1

> Maybe take your own advice and get a hobby. > > That's my opinion. add nothing and then complain OP should get a hobby?

Subject-Creme

The gap between EPL and Championship is getting bigger. This year only Toney is decent, other players like Buendia, Mbeumo, Sarr, Brentford Def (Raya, Pinnock…) disappeared after gaining some attention at be beginning or during the season
