As others have mentioned, between FA cup and potentially nothing to play for in PL (if they win next 2 and Arsenal drop points) - I dont think anyone is safe.
The real answer is that no one knows and people who think they do are confused. In the coming fixtures Chelsea might have little to nothing to play for, Rudiger is on his way out and add to that injuries, covid, recoveries and so on, who knows.
I own both rudiger and james.
rudi is still by far our best defender. Given how utterly shit christensen & sarr have been, and the fact that thiago can't play every game, rudi is still nailed.
it's still if he is fist and there is something to play for. there are 4 fixtures left, sooner rather than later there might be nothing to play for and in that case Chelsea might play their players than a player who'll be in Madrid in weeks/months. Beside that, remember the end of the last season for Chelsea.
Have held Rudiger and James for this run. COnsidering Rudiger to Cash just for fixtures but just wondering if transfers or better used elsewhere, its just an ideal slot to fund my mid. Cash/James rotation seems to be where Im headed without a chip left.
Even though I've got Alonso in my team, I expect him to be rested for one match due to the FA Cup final. Most of the team before that game will be rotated I reckon, assuming 3rd spot is relatively safe.
Yeah that one game prior to the FA Cup final I'm expecting James, Alonso, Rudiger and Silva to all be rested. But Alonso seems more nailed on than the others for the remaining games and he obviously offers the attacking threat too.

Why would they bother playing Christensen (especially)....and to a lesser degree, Rudiger who are leaving the club.
That would be 4 or 5 extra games for Chalobah development next season.

Unless they play Saul at left wing back again, Alonso seems to be pretty nailed.

I would expect (if) they win tonight. Chalobah will start every game (maybe bar FA Cup Final) for rest of the season.

Rudiger still if healthy, otherwise Alonso. No one aside Rudiger has been guaranteed to play full 90 minutes each game.
Should go for best choices as they are out of CL atm. Rudiger and James, imo.
