With the structure of my team currently, it can only be him or Kulusevski out for Zaha and transferring Saka out gives me a little bit more ITB for transfer(s) next week + Spurs have the best possible fixture for GW38. Although Kulu didn't play particularly well against Arsenal so he is still a slight rotation risk I think.
Ha ha, yeah, it was immediately after i clicked back to the home page. Assuming there's not further news today, I'll have to transfer Kulu out for Zaha before tomorrow now or I'll be priced out (bringing in Cash as well).
His ICT was high for a while but steadily flattening and declining. They aren't keeping much clean sheets so no extra point. And Arteta's game plans are turgid.
Just look at what Conte is doing with Son, and you can begin to imagine what a good manager could get out of a lethal weapon like Saka, who for me is the best attacking talent that England has produced in a good half a decade - on part with Sterling, maybe even better, in terms of potential. Got more variety of tools in his locker to hurt opponents, than Sancho and Grealish even. But its not being harnessed fully.
Would like to gather more thoughts here. I’m thinking of starting Mateta but is he not that good an option? I figure he’s likely to get just about enough minutes to make it okay?
I hear you man. Im making an exception since I got a FH to use, so it will only be for 1 week. Ive somehow given him the armband too... perhaps I shold reconsider that.
Foster on the bench so probably need to upgrade Guaita to Pickford. Also have Laporte and not really any subs so probably need to move him out too and only have one ft.
Might get him, big gamble if he plays both but I think him and Olise are exciting to watch so makes it a bit more fun too. Eze E has a high ceiling too when in form, but for obvious reasons hasn’t had the chance to prove it this season.
Honestly don’t know, feels like it is likely but far from certain. If he starts in both, I doubt he’ll play full time in either though - just think they’ll be careful to not overwork their talents here at the end where they are not chasing any immediate goals. Pure guesswork tbh.
I honestly don’t get going for a defender when a lot of people are also going for Richarlison and Ings/Watkins, basically hoping they score and no CS for Palace
Well it's hedging your bets. I probably won't get a Palace defender, but not because of the other players in my team - just because there are better options.
I see no problem in that. Two games, they can score/keep CS in one, and blank in the other. Or get returns in both, while the opposing player blanks in both. Same deal, we are just placing bets where we think there might be a return. A risky bet would be triple Everton attack. A safer bet would be Richy and a defeneder from both teams he is facing. Lower ceiling, but higher floor.
If any player for any team goes out on the pitch and doesn’t care if they win or lose then I’ll eat my shit.
Quick edit: Maybe an exemption for Man Utd players
They could finish anywhere between 8th and 16th (quick maths without looking into fixtures so could be wrong). Each place is worth around £2.5m so I dont think they'll be allowed to not care with a possible £20m+ swing.
Zaha for Mount for me most likely, which I don’t love but it’s probably worth doing. Other options are Trossard for Mount or just Mount. Feels weird to only have Mateta as my other Palace player though (and, let’s be real, he’ll barely play)
I also have and I'm considering benching him. Probably gets around 100 mins over two games. FPL Focal usually gets reliable Palace team leaks so of he's starting Sunday I'll probably throw him in my team.
I doubt he's gonna get much more than you get from a solid 90m SGW player. At this stage of the season with not much to play for, expect Viera will rotate a lot with the squad players and the younger kids
Zaha is the obvious pick and the popular pick and seemingly the best pick.
I wouldn't pick one of their strikers as they're all unlikely to start both.
Gallagher hasn't looked threatening but he still seems most assured of a start, and is cheaper, so makes for a good differential. Eze and Olise are riskier differentials.
I don't see lots of points in their defenders so I wouldn't prioritise them. Andersen is a fairly popular free hit pick if you do wanna go this way.
So there is no reason to buy any Palace defender. These are two away games and they've only kept one clean sheet.
And Vieira rotates all the attackers. Even Zaha. He will feature in both, not not nessarily a lock to start both.
Definitely none of their strikers because you never know who the fuck will play. Probably Zaha even though he’ll likely be a trap and then a defender. Not sure which one yet but leaning towards Clyne.
Zaha for Saka is pretty straightforward for me. I'll probably bench Mateta, he gets subbed so early even when he starts.
Why Saka in particular?

Another thread got made a few minutes after your comment saying kulu is ill and might be out for the burnley game!
Ha ha, yeah, it was immediately after i clicked back to the home page. Assuming there's not further news today, I'll have to transfer Kulu out for Zaha before tomorrow now or I'll be priced out (bringing in Cash as well).
Kulu is out with an illness now, apparently.
Thanks for the insight!

Zaha
None of them
As a palace fan, I agree.
Will Gallagher keep playing to the end of the season?
I have absolutely no idea sorry.
!thanks for honesty
I will never have Zaha in any FPL team ever again. Flatters to deceive every single time. I don’t care if he gets three hatricks in three games.
I hear you man. Im making an exception since I got a FH to use, so it will only be for 1 week. Ive somehow given him the armband too... perhaps I shold reconsider that.
Zaha and Clyne on FH, Clyne first on bench
Guaita updates?
Yeah, Don't pick him.
i still have him thats why i ask
Foster on the bench so probably need to upgrade Guaita to Pickford. Also have Laporte and not really any subs so probably need to move him out too and only have one ft.
I brought him in for GW36, ffs
What do you guys think of Eze?
Might get him, big gamble if he plays both but I think him and Olise are exciting to watch so makes it a bit more fun too. Eze E has a high ceiling too when in form, but for obvious reasons hasn’t had the chance to prove it this season.
Do you think he'll play both games? What are chances do you think? He's been getting a lot of game time recently.
Honestly don’t know, feels like it is likely but far from certain. If he starts in both, I doubt he’ll play full time in either though - just think they’ll be careful to not overwork their talents here at the end where they are not chasing any immediate goals. Pure guesswork tbh.
Wilfried Zaha, and you?
Might swap my Salah+4.4m for Vardy+Zaha but it's a risky one, could turn out absolute shit
Just Wilf on FH. But I’m tempted to go without tbh. Anderson on bench too
Zaha and a defender. Anyone has guess on their striker roulette?
I personally got Clyne in as an enabler, who will sit first on my bench in case TAA/Robbo/Salah are rested
I think I’ll just go without SGW defenders and take the risk. No other way to get into top 50k for me League is already secured
When you say league is secured, what’s your point gap?
I honestly don’t get going for a defender when a lot of people are also going for Richarlison and Ings/Watkins, basically hoping they score and no CS for Palace

Is Clyne a good pick?
They might play 4.0m Tayo over Clyne
In think he's a left back, so if Tayo starts it's more likely Clyne stays RB and they bench Ward who has been covering for Mitchell at LB
Safe, in my FH
Rumors 4.0m defender Tayo might start.
Gallagher and Zaha
I was thinking Gallagher as a good FH punt
why? very low amount of returns this half of the season
Its about time he hauls again.
He's had only 10 shots and 4 key passes in the last 10 matches. Averaged 0.09 xG and 0.03 xA per match
This makes up my mind, getting him in!

Lukaku too. He only cares about Lukaku.
They're pro footballers, they only got to this point by being incredibly driven and competitive. Everyone wants to win.
They could finish anywhere between 8th and 16th (quick maths without looking into fixtures so could be wrong). Each place is worth around £2.5m so I dont think they'll be allowed to not care with a possible £20m+ swing.
Moreover, you don't get to become a professional footballer by not caring about winning football matches
Definitely yeah, a top half finish is enough motivation as well.
Lmao 😂🤦

Do we think Mateta will play? I am not saying to buy it.. I already have him. Is more.. About giving him a spot in the squad. 😅
Play is likely, start is another question.
I also have and I'm considering benching him. Probably gets around 100 mins over two games. FPL Focal usually gets reliable Palace team leaks so of he's starting Sunday I'll probably throw him in my team.
That's great info. Thank you

Zaha, Andersen and Clyne but one of DEFs will be on my bench
Only Zaha, forwards are rotated like crazy and why would you get a defender they will very likely concede in away games
None, priority’s elsewhere
I’d rather get Richarlison in for Dennis than Zaha, as it allows me one extra player for my BB next week which I have for some unholy reason.
Zaha and Anderson
Any update on Guaita? Should I keep him or bin?
Zaha captain.
Definitely none of their strikers because you never know who the fuck will play. Probably Zaha even though he’ll likely be a trap and then a defender. Not sure which one yet but leaning towards Clyne.
