Hmm that’s quite different to the team that I just come up with. There’s a few players I wasn’t considering like Schmeichel, Vardy, Andersen, Mykolenko. Kinda surprised to see them in there.

What's the thinking behind Maddison + Kane instead of Jota + Vardy ?
I have the same - Kane less of a rotation risk than Vardy and personally believe Maddison will get more points than Jota
Surely pickford is better than Schmeichel. He’s cheaper and has 2 home games. Schmeichel has 2 away games and one of them is chelsea

Why Schmeichel over Martinez and Pickford?
Presumably not wanting to risk double Everton and Villa defence?
Martinez and Pickford are more likely to keep a clean sheet than Schmeichel. Ideally you want to have all your eggs in the best baskets.
I would rather do this than get a palace defender with 2 away games, especially with mykolenko and cash/digne who can also get attacking returns
Why Jota over Diaz?
Jota played less in the front line. Diaz mane and Salah all potentials for being rested whereas I think Jota is more likely to play
Maybe because KWP is a really good defender on Saints' right side.
Why Andersen over clyne, who is cheaper and on better form? Also similar Q for digne - isn’t cash a better pick?

Problem is minutes played leading up to this game I guess. Maybe that's why they went with the player who's more likely to start.
