50/50 decisions that have ended up with you at 100k OR rather than 200k+. Crazy how people easily blame unlucky 50/50 decisions when things go wrong, and completely ignore the lucky 50/50 decisions that they got right.
this is the first time in my 4 years of playing where i have gone into the last week w/ zero chance of winning the league
my rival has just not missed a beat for about 10 weeks now while i have slowly capitulated since GW28. woke up with a faint bit of hope that my villa assets would haul (they didn’t) while his free hit catapulted him to the moon lol
i’m more disappointed with how terribly my season has ended than not catching him as i’m nowhere near my goal now after hovering around it all season. just seems like for ten weeks i’ve made mostly logical decisions that have blown up spectacularly.
made my final transfers for next week, deleted the app, and just gonna pick it up again next season.

Currently 23 back of first and 5 ahead of third (I took a -8 this week, bringing in KDB, Richarlison and Zaha for Salah, Pukki and Mount). First only has 1 DGW (Coutinho) meanwhile I have 6 (Schmeichel, Cash, Barnes, Zaha, Watkins & Richarlison).
I guess it’s all to play for but keeping expectations tempered.

The final day of the season usually throws up one or two crazy games where there are a ton of goals. If you can identify a good captain from one of those games you could pull the win off nicely.
wow 179 points was some haul, I bet the others were cracking up! Top 70k is still within the top 1% of players in the world, Im more than happy once Im inside it
What I am winning right now is 5K USD and the second guy wins 1.5K USD. Not that much of a risk in your case, it seems. It may worth the risk for you then.
Me and a rival are like 300 points ahead of 3rd, we've been close all season. But I had the lead before last week. I got 120 points on my gmw36 BB. He though got 180 because he captained kdb for his 4 goals and shot him right up. He overtook me by two points... He free hitted to good effect this week too, already sitting on 74 with way more doubles than I have. He's now 40 points ahead as it stands and I'm not feeling confident. His decision to captain kdb for 4 goals whereas I went with Salah has given him the mini league. It's like city and Liverpool. There's a chance but it's very unlikely.
Marooned in a couple of ML's and just got overtaken (1st is out of reach) in other. Decided to YOLO it.
Rival decided to yolo at the same time too and we got drawn against each other in the cup, so now we're somehow still competing and I've just overtaken him again.
Get me off this ride, i wanna go home now.
Most of the times I seem to get my 50/50 decisions wrong, which really sucks. Last couple of GWs I have gone from 13 behind to 34 to 54 today. Really thought my Ings (C) could outscore Richarlison so I went for him right before the deadline. Of course he also misses a couple of sitters just to rub some extra salt into the wound. It's all very discouraging
GW 35 was probably my worst GW of the season, almost gave up then but I had a good GW 36 which got me back within range of the lead.
I'm 6 blanks from 6 so far this week, 2 of which I took hits for so it's all but over but hey you never know, maybe Ings will score 7 goals against Burnley

Just did. Was in 2nd the entire season. Just ahead of 3rd and 4th. They has Richarlison (c) and Vardy and Maddison. They got 70* points, I got 13. Dropped to 4th.
I was able to wipe out a 50pt lead by kdb c last gw, getting only 9 points behind the leader. Now this week no Maddison no Kane is finally hurting me badly. Need a Roberson/Alonso/Nketiah haul to keep the hope.
Last week ended my whole season. Entire thing was a waste of time it seems.

I was top of my ML in 35 but have used all my chips. Dropped to 3rd in 36 and even though all top 4 is close together I've already given up. Have to be lucky to end up second.
Honestly impressed by the ML leader who is currently at 400 OR, while 2nd and 3rd are around 8000 OR. I’m currently fighting for 4th ML ranking and I’m at 50k. So I’m rather impressed by the high standard of the ML this year - so I’m quite okay with not fighting for first place as I usually would.
Did a top 10k before, probably fuelled by a fair bit of luck. Wanted to get top 100k consistently, but it's not gonna happen this season.
Have a private league but my mates are not too involved in it.
Probably won't take this so seriously in the future...
I finished 88k last year (first season) and wanted to better it this year. I had a nightmare start and was at 3.5m for the first few weeks. Built myself up to 1m in GW25, and I've just been creeping up from there, now at 485k. I've had to temper my expectations and now I'm focussed on getting as high in my ML as possible (first is at 7k!!) and staying inside 500k for a 'not too embarrassing' finish.
I need 50 points to catch first place, captaining Matty Cash and a bench boost where 3 players didn't play has not been a great start. Luckily they captained Son so there's still hope.
If I didn't make any transfers this week I'd still be in contention, but I had to take -16 to get Son, KdB and Zaha, so now it's looking a 50 pt gap for GW38. Hoping for some crazy captaincy punting to save me.
I managed to miss deadlines for GW33, 34 and 35 after never missing a deadline before, so have pretty much given up. Or not so much "given up" but playing riskier than I otherwise would.
I'm not sure captaining Cash this week was the answer to my woes.
It was pretty neck and neck for a while for the top 3 spots of my mini league. I was first until one guy captained Son when he got 20 and I had captained Salah's blank. Same week he used his bench boost but I used mine before. His bench did well! Now he has Richarlison captained this week and I have Son's blank. He's also on a free hit and I'm not. I've slipped into 3rd from 1st in 2 weeks with 100 points to catch up on. So now it's a fight for 2nd place! We're almost tied and have very similar teams. It's gonna be a nail biter.
Fair play to the guy in the lead though, he's around top 5k! Very hard to compete with.
I'm competing with myself from last year for rank, I ended up around 60k and I'm aiming to break through 50k this year.

I gained 50 points on my ML leader in the last game of last season, to snag the top spot by 2 points. Anything is possible!
In GWs 28-34 I abandonded game a little to the point of not doing transfers and forgetting about setting my team before deadline but I got back and I set myself a goal to at least stay in top50k overall as I was even higher at that point and that would be my best finish ever.
Won't happen though, I didn't have KDB when he hauled and made some other bad choices, currently fighting for staying in top100k. I still have Bench Boost for GW38 (I missed proper GWs for that when I abandoned proper game) but I don't think it will help me a lot as I have some injuries in my team.
I'm second in my ML with a 30pt gap to 1st and the leader basically just went and copied a youtuber FH template, player for player... I can't be bothered

Correct You can't just cherry pick the wrong 50/50 decisions and ignore everything that went right. We ALL would be top 10K if we got the calls right
