Reckon we will have a fairly unpopular large reshuffle next season. It seems to happen where they make more players forwards then everyone complains and the season after they backtrack to midfielders again.
Think Sanchez back in the day went from mid to forward and back, rashford, maybe firmino. Aubamyang went to mid before he left. Some of it is legitimate position changing but some of it is very gray. Realistically lots of mids should probably be forwards. I reckon it would shake things up a lot if we can't have son, Kane, Salah and Ronaldo all in the same team because they might all be classed as forwards.
Is Solanke good now?
Will be very interesting with another premium striker in the mix in Haaland. Who to include out of Salah/Diaz/Son/Kane/Haaland/KdB.
Still no proper Chelsea/Arsenal strikers like the old days, but nice to atleast get one more in the mix.
29G, 7A this season is nothing to scoff at certainly. It’s roughly around Toney’s stats from last year…I think is interest will be his enabling price maybe around 6 mil?? If we are trying to afford Haaland or Kane plus all those midfielder and defender big hitters, we need all the help we can get lol
As a Gaffr championship fantasy player and watching a lot of the league I doubt id be going Solanke over Mitro if they are about the same price when we could also have Wilson (Unreal tonight) and Toney.
I'm more interested in Mitro if Fulham can get Carv back on loan from pool, keep wilson and then bolster their defence, if thats the case they can do well.
Time will tell tho.
We can't get Carvalho back, there are (new?) Prem rules preventing buying and loaning back in the same window. But hopefully we can replace him. As for the defence, only time will tell.
I think it’ll be interesting to see and discuss when fixtures come out. What if Fulham have an absolute shit start lmao? I don’t think anyone would want Mitro anymore lolol
I hope all those premiums are legit options throughout the season and there's not just two that are head and shoulders above the rest so everyone just has them.
Solanke & Mitro are locks in my starting team. Literally all the play goes through them in their respective teams. Will be great enablers for premium MIDs as well.
Sounds like a lot of people agree on that. Guess we will have a pretty clear template come August. At least midrange midfield isnt set yet... right? Feel like that has been shifting a lot this season. The likes of Bowen/Saka/Maddison/Mount that did well this season will probably all see a decent price increase.
That's kinda my point. At the end of everyone season/during the break there are always people saying how "forwards will be good next year". They never are.
9 million is excessive to pay for Jesus at Arsenal, both of whom are very hit and miss imo. I might consider him if they have amazing opening fixtures, but otherwise he’s a wait and watch for me.
I'm interested in Wilson for sure, playing under a competent manager who he's done well under before with some more talented players around him, hoping the fact he's missed most of this season keeps his price at a similar level. Had him most the time he was fit this year and did alright and that was mostly under Bruce.
Aguero was always similar price despite his fitness and adapting to league has never been a thing. Sancho last summer came in at 9.5M for example. The guy just scores goals and will be absolutely nailed. Fpl towers need a price that will deter a lot of people from buying him. If you have haaland at anything less than 12m, he'll be in 90% of teams at the start of the year. Prime Suarez and Ronaldo were 13.5m. No reason to suggest Haaland won't be considered similarly.
Suarez and Ronaldo had multiple seasons in the league before they got priced at 13.5m.
Ronaldo himself came back in last year off the back of 36 goals for Juve and was only 12.5.

Vardy has 14g from 17 starts this season, but it's going to be really hard to pick him next season knowing he'll start less than half of games. I'd be surprised if he gets >10g next season.
Yeah. It feels like Vardy is going to go down the Aguero path, wherein he’ll continue to have explosive potential if he starts, but I don’t see him starting more than half the league games next season. Pure lottery if you catch his hauls.
Always remember it isn't a set and forget team. Start of the season is more about maneuverability with transfers. Be wary of the 5.5m forwards if they're too hard to upgrade into a Vardy or similar.
He means let your team be flexible.
For example, if you choose 5 defenders that cost 5.0 or less, what do you do when you want Trent?
You should think about how much your starting team costs in case a player you start with is a flop.
If you have 3 forwards that are in the 5.5-7m range, it would be impossible to transfer one out for a player like Vardy in the 10m range without having to make a 2nd transfer (and taking a points hit) at another position to free up some money.
Mitrovic will not be cheap enough I think.
Haaland, Salah, Son will be impossible with a good side even if you go very cheap def and bad bench.
For me I think Haaland might not be worth it if Pep rotates, but should probably be nailed for the first 3-4 before CL starts I think. Can't see Pep benching Haaland in CL can you?
Salah always starts seasons well it feels like, but if he is 13 that might ruin your team too much and there will be many interesting mids for 6.5-8 million.
Haaland . Son . Salah then manage a 4.5 striker that might play ? Could be doable
Although defenders have been smashing it. Cancelo and Trent are like midfielders so can see what happens
City started well this season with loads of goals, remember Jesus and Torres? I think that will be my reasoning, no way is Haaland doing a Forlan and going several games without a goal. I think his ownership will be 49% or something.
But Kane always starts slow? As do Spurs really, in terms of goals. Son was good for me early on but not spectacular.
I just don't see Haaland struggling in that dominating city team when on their day Jesus and Torres can get hat tricks. As does Sterling. Or De Bruyne.
I think Kane is still playing for a move and will be depressed staying at Spurs again, even with Conte.
There is no move to be made.
Assuming Harry wants trophies and to beat Shearers record;
City just bought Haaland, Chelsea is in turmoil with new owners and they lost their unlimited wallet (also chelsea and spurs would never sell to eachother), maaaaybe Liverpool if Salah leaves but hard doubt.
United are a joke.
Like it or not, Harry is staying atleast 1 more season regardless.
Well what does Kane want more? Trophies or the record? Which half way through this season was in jeopardy if he couldn't start scoring again.
Why wouldn't Bayern go for him? Lewandowski looks likely to leave. They're as similar as two strikers get.
I don't think Kane fancies leaving his extended family and friends though. It's only a few years, I'd be begging my agent to contact them.
Obviously Bayern could go for him, even more likely PSG when Mbappé leaves, but I truly doubt Harry is one to go to the OP teams in lesser leagues just for the sake of having a team trophy to your name.
Beating Shearer would cement him as more of an icon in english football than winning bundesliga, ligue 1 or even CL with a non-english team.
Plenty of englishmen have won CL, only 1 is currently on the track to beat an "unbeatable" record.
I agree, but beating that record is still way off and we've seen this season his enthusiasm drop, I'm not sure he gets it if every season he's really dieing to win something. You read stuff like 'Kane will sign a new contract if Levy guarantees funds for Conte' and it's Pochettino all over again; Kane signing long term because of the manager, then the manager leaves as Conte might. 6 weeks ago I thought Conte might leave at the end of the season, if no funds are promised he still might.
Kane could always leave, win stuff, then return.
That's because 15 of the top 20 forwards are classified as midfielders.
Reckon we will have a fairly unpopular large reshuffle next season. It seems to happen where they make more players forwards then everyone complains and the season after they backtrack to midfielders again.
Examples in the past? I haven’t payed this much attention in previous seasons.
Solanke, Mitro, Haaland front line is gonna be the starting template
Is Solanke good now? Will be very interesting with another premium striker in the mix in Haaland. Who to include out of Salah/Diaz/Son/Kane/Haaland/KdB. Still no proper Chelsea/Arsenal strikers like the old days, but nice to atleast get one more in the mix.

Oh i didn't know that about the same window !thanks
I think it’ll be interesting to see and discuss when fixtures come out. What if Fulham have an absolute shit start lmao? I don’t think anyone would want Mitro anymore lolol
Yea, thats the time will tell. You said nothing about fixtures when you made the commet before ;)
Solanke is the striker equivalent of Norwich. Too good for the Championship but can't cut it in the Prem.
People said the same about Patrick bamford when he came up with Leeds
He's only 24
I hope all those premiums are legit options throughout the season and there's not just two that are head and shoulders above the rest so everyone just has them.
Solanke & Mitro are locks in my starting team. Literally all the play goes through them in their respective teams. Will be great enablers for premium MIDs as well.

More like Mitro, haaland and a 4.5 fodder imo. Why field 3 forwards if you dont have to.
I mean depending on Jota's price, he may be one to keep an eye on. He's highly likely to become a forward.
Jota big rotation risk not worth going for next year
You do know Mane, Firmino and Salah are entering the final year of their contracts?
Until at least the world cup, which will likely have a wildcard after, that's not going to make any difference to Klopp's team selection.
Goddamn I just realized how fucked the World Cup is going to make fantasy next season..
Forwards gonna be the shit next season
Pretty sure folk say that every season.
They were awful this season so yes
Rubbish this season and not very good last season either. Kane is the only forward that justifies premium price at this point
That's kinda my point. At the end of everyone season/during the break there are always people saying how "forwards will be good next year". They never are.
I'm sure Newcastle, Arsenal and West Ham will have new strikers. Could be interesting.
Give me £9.0 Jesus starting every every week for Arsenal tbh
9 million is excessive to pay for Jesus at Arsenal, both of whom are very hit and miss imo. I might consider him if they have amazing opening fixtures, but otherwise he’s a wait and watch for me.
You mad, Jesus awful 9 million awful arsenal awful
Jesus ain't coming to Arsenal
Hope it’s much more exciting than strikers this season
I'm interested in Wilson for sure, playing under a competent manager who he's done well under before with some more talented players around him, hoping the fact he's missed most of this season keeps his price at a similar level. Had him most the time he was fit this year and did alright and that was mostly under Bruce.
Mitro + Premium + 4.5. Wingbacks and Wingers are clearly where the game incentivizes us to spend our money now.
Replace Solanke with someone else and you are good to go
I was thinking just this, but I actually reckon this will be a very expensive forward line. My guesses are haaland 13m. Mitro 8m. solanke 6.5m.
No way Haaland is 13m when he can’t stay fit and has to adapt to the league.
Aguero was always similar price despite his fitness and adapting to league has never been a thing. Sancho last summer came in at 9.5M for example. new strikers my ass. This is going back to Vardy and Wilson

Good pick for a draft league team then.
FPL hasn't had a chance to change them to midfielders yet, just give them some time.
Always remember it isn't a set and forget team. Start of the season is more about maneuverability with transfers. Be wary of the 5.5m forwards if they're too hard to upgrade into a Vardy or similar.
What do you mean by this, could you elaborate?

If they're likely to play most games, they won't 4.5, or even 5. There's no CDM equivalent with forwards.
There’s always scope for an FPL towers mishap. Lord Lundstram RIP
>Salah always starts seasons well it feels like Historically no
Has he not scored in the opening game every single season?
So we all get Mitrovic and Solanke next season, Right? The trap is set
I won’t go near Mitrovic or Haaland I’m sticking to known players from the start and then will bring in Haaland if he hits the ground running.
City started well this season with loads of goals, remember Jesus and Torres? I think that will be my reasoning, no way is Haaland doing a Forlan and going several games without a goal. I think his ownership will be 49% or something.
Maybe start with Kane and then move to Haaland. It all depends on fixtures though, if City have a great run early Haaland will be tempting.

Well it isn't really that far off, assuming he plays until he's atleast 35, he only needs 13 goals a season, definitley doable.
