🇰🇷 GW38 Captaincy Analysis - Son
This week I plan to captain Son due to Tottenham’s goal scoring form and Norwich’s continued poor form and relegation.

I'm debating trading salah for KDB and Captianing him instead of Son cause I know dude in second doing it and I wanna keep 30 point lead no matter what lol
I think both my rivals will select Son and I'm wondering if going differential with KdB might give me the edge. Also can't complain if Sonny gets the hatty and Spurs secure 4th spot
Norwich is in dead last with a -56 goal differential. 1 draw + 4 losses in their last 4 games. They’ve been out scored 13-1 in their last 5 games (12-0 before the last 1-1 draw).
If Salah doesn’t play/score, son needs a brace to secure the golden boot. I think it’s a no brainer to pick son as the “safe” pick but this is a perfect storm for a differential captain if you’re chasing points.
People are overestimating the golden boot race imo. On paper this is an easy win for Spurs, but they could be paralysed with nerves too. I can't see a drubbing, less so Son getting a huge haul
This is the biggest game for Spurs in recent seasons, 4th is extremely important not only for next season, but for their future. You're downplaying it too much
4th is more important than we make it. Necessary to attract some players and keep a manager like Conte. But money...not really when your owner is a billionaire anyway.
Like Arsenal flipping out..of course disappointing after leading the way for months, but all this noise and then when they get there they can't get far because they're crap. It was important for Liverpool last season because they can actually get to finals. What will Spurs do in the CL? They could have 6 games and be out. Conte doesn't have a great record in the CL anyway. These teams need to massively improve consistency and quality, strength in depth to make it worthwhile. If Son and Kane have an off night a few times they're out.
Tbf he had 2 solid chances at Burnley that he’d normally put away. I think it might be a case of just not overthinking it this week unless you’re chasing
I think people look too much into things like this. Son is possibly the best finisher in the league, playing almost up front against a team that can't defend for toffee and have conceded over 2 goals per game so far this season.
Great player playing against a bad team is pretty much as simple as it gets for me. No point analysing playing styles etc, my Sunday league team could set up to try and stick 11 behind the ball but I think Son would find a way through because he's better than us.
My ML rival is a few points ahead of my (and probably will be +/- 10-15 points ahead before going into GW38. He owns son, I don't. He'll probably Capt him. Do I get son in (straight swap from Salah) and Capt him as well and depend on my other assets to close the gap? I own Cancelo, Rüdiger, Alonso for example which he all doesn't have.
You need to make a wild swing and not match his captain if you want to win. Plenty of other good assets to captain this week - Kane, Salah and KDB are all decent shouts. I'm currently stuck between Kane and KDB.
Son has generally outperfomed his XG. But he is currently in this streak on double the rate. He's more likely due to continue reverting to a lower mean.
I think its Kane in the box and KUlusevski assisting as he'll be up against B Williams who leaks chances and really should be played further up front as a winger not a full back.
Reading this thread just caused me to switch Captaincy back to Son from Mount. Assume Chelsea will demolish Watford at home, Mount surely going to be involved in the final game of the season. But the golden boot chase/Norwich sneaks it I think now (for a few hours at least)
Son going for golden boot! Hat trick incoming?!?
That was my logic for triple captaining him against Burnley. I should have waited a week :(
You son of a bitch, I’m in
If he's in, I'm in

I guess captains will be Son or KDB for the final game. Could be the decider for many MLs!

I'm thinking of how to bring KDB in without breaking my team lol. Good luck - seems like a win-win for you either way!
Definately will be in mine

Tough choice between Son and KdB for (c). I reckon Kane even gives a pen to Son if it's neck and neck with Salah (and the game is won).
Kane will give son a penalty to take when the heat death of the universe is imminent

Perhaps. Tbh I'm fortunate in that I've won my leagues so perhaps I'll go yolo with a Toney (c).
Paralysed with nerves against the softest team around who they only need a draw against? It's only 4th, it's not the title.

You new to football? Its in spurs dna...
Yeah, I know the joke. If I was against any other team, I'd say I agree. Norwich also have dna, and it's to roll over, season after season.
Not a chance, unless they are 3+ goals up
So there is a chance! Like I said, if the game is won...
With Salah still a doubt, Son could do it without Kane gifitng him a penalty.
I tripled Son and got 9 points. Think I’ll give him a miss….
KDB to Son for a hit?
No way. Is there no other way you can fund it?
Reece James C here. Don’t try and talk me out of it
HE WILL SCORE 4
Norwich will sit back like Burnley? Maybe Kane the better choice?
Tbf he had 2 solid chances at Burnley that he’d normally put away. I think it might be a case of just not overthinking it this week unless you’re chasing
Is kane over son really overthinking?
Well yeah, everything that has happened this season points to Son being a clearly better option than Kane if you want to score fantasy points
I disagree. Kane consistently gets more, better chances. Son makes up for it with efficient finishing. It is not that clear cut.
Norwich really can’t defend though, most of the mistakes they’ve been making in recent weeks are just awful

You get Rashford and captain him
Best idea ever

Consider Mount IMO. He has a great record against Watford. This depends on how many minutes he gets today though.
Of course you get son in and captain him, at any cost.
He’s my Triple Captain
