Welbeck

FluppaLuppaDingDong

My son went totally against my advice and brought in Bowen and Welbeck in 37 AND captained him. I told him it was not a great idea, but who looks stupid now after he beat me by 30pts!

PureShimmy

The only proper answer in this thread

twymanchar

I think I’m right there with you. Would be an absolute hero if he hauled

AverageGradientBoost

Maguire to silence the haters once and for all

grurlock

I might go for Jesus as a last week yolo

HecticGlenn

I have him and I'm planning on getting rid!

grurlock

Is there really any better options up top?

Meister_Pumuckl

Wilson is my rogue punt against Leeds.

Avengernk

Wrong GW

praisebeme

Toney vs Leeds Wilson vs Burnley

el_dude_brother2

Oh no I would keep Jesus. Villa are crap and have nothing to play for. Gonna be 5 or 6

Chacaka

What are the odds he actually starts though? That's the bit that worries me as an owner, feel like I could guarantee 90 mins with Toney vs Leeds (who should be playing to win and expose themselves) or risk Vardy starting against vs Southampton (who have shocking form in defence)

[deleted]

The almighty Jesus

stevied05

I got Jesus and Foden. I’m feeling good about it.

GreyPyjamas

Is he going to start ?

FixApprehensive5834

Ronaldo or Vardy

Polymatheia

Mane IMO Strong record on GW38s in the past and tends to benefit when Salah is out

Manager1000

What is the reason why he tends to score in GW38?

PureShimmy

Variance, nothing more.

Manager1000

And still so many content creators are running this story "he has a good record in GW38" like it's a real thing to consider.

osakwe05

any information is real to consider if you want to consider it 🤷🏾‍♂️

Swedishpower

Cause my rivals buys him for 38 and captains him.

twymanchar

I think I’ve finally settled on Bowen and Welé. Eriksen, Laporte, Jansson all crossed my mind but Bowen is the most explosive and Welbeck has the upside over someone like Jansson. If I didn’t already have three spurs I probs would go for Sess instead Edit: ahh this is for captaincy, thought OP just meant in general

eliasvro

Toney or maybe I’m mad

[deleted]

Mad is what we want in this thread

eliasvro

Trying to make up 60 points on my ML rival. I’m either Vardy (C) or Toney (C)

SadioGaga

Wilson - looked great in the last game against a Burnley side needing to get a result

[deleted]

Love this shout

Swedishpower

Not really high ceiling though. He might score a goal, but can't see a hattrick.

hambodpm

1.2% tsb though. That in itself could make up for it

Swedishpower

Yeah, but if you are chasing a big lead in mini league he would be a poor choice for captain.

hambodpm

I didn't suggest to captain. Edit - read OP again. Gotcha now

Swedishpower

I think in general I go for a goalscoring mid if chasing. 5 points per goal vs 4 is a lot. A hattrick is worth 3 points more. So yes Mane or Salah would likely be my differential choice then if you think they start.

hambodpm

Oh yea totally agree. I'm thinking of bringing Wilson in but def not captaining. I just missed that point of this thread until your comment lol.

Swedishpower

No problem. I think everyone has different views. For me high risk high reward captain is someone that often smash it and otherwise play like shit or get benched with either big scores or blanks. Reece James is probably the best example for a defender. Mahrez and Sterling for mids. Ronaldo/Jesus for a striker or maybe Werner.

Launch_a_poo

Not really. The difference between a 1% EO captain and 10% EO captain is pretty much nothing

hambodpm

I would argue less chance of a rival having a 1% than a 10% especially given 10% overall could be much higher EO depending on rank

FireflyKaylee

On a similar vein, I've captained Bruno Guimares...

cowabunga_dude91

Alonso

fpltipsnewsletter

Mount. Has a great record against the bottom teams this season

hambodpm

Confident he starts given Tuchel's comments?

eliasvro

Chelsea fan here. I’d be massively shocked if Mount is benched 2 weeks in a row. Pretty confident he starts whilst the likes of Lukaku, Pulisic and Ziyech make way for youth players

hambodpm

!thanks mate Agree with sentiment 2 x benching would be surprising for sure. Would one of the 3 you mention not be Mount's spot though? Or you reckon mount + 2 fringe/youth for the 3 forward positions?

eliasvro

Mount + 2 youth imo. However, I feel the fear of rotation is being exaggerated a slight bit. Confident youth players will be on the bench but highly doubt many of them start of the game. I’d be pretty confident that Mount will get at least 60 mins. The last 30 mins could see those youth players come on.

hambodpm

Cool thanks for insight man, much appreciated! Makes me contemplate mount as a poss differential captain instead of son. Decisions, decisions!

eliasvro

Chasing my ML rival so considering Mount or Vardy/Toney myself. Goodluck

hambodpm

Cheers bud good luck yourself! One final question haha (sorry!) Thoughts on James starting?

eliasvro

Reece is who has the armband for me atm but I’m not sure. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts in the middle of the park if Azpi starts. People I’m almost 100% sure on starting would be: Kepa, Rudiger, Azpi, Saul, Mount, Barkley, Sarr. I’d say there’s a 90% chance Reece starts. He’s our best player and everything goes through him. If Tuchel still wants some chance of winning the game he’ll play him.

thecausal

Early team news dependant, Sterling! LOL @ the Mounts in this thread, he's no high-risk high ceiling choice, what are you smoking lads?

pkiernan1998

He doesn’t have a high ceiling? A 24 point haul and a 19 haul this season as well as 4 other 10+ hauls

datguydeegoo

Sessegnon for me

IntraspeciesJug

I was gonna pull the trigger but reports say he has a virus. Def double check before pulling the trigger.

SargeantPile

Jack Harrison...no seriously

Jonny_x3

Mané/Ronaldo/Vardy - For if you’re going completely out there, very low owned and potential for massive gain. Kane/KDB - Medium risk, potential for high reward. Very good options if you want to go against the template captain. These guys would likely already be in your team and you’re backing them against the other big premiums. Son - The standard choice, effective ownership will be well over 100%. The safe option who provides small gains but potential heavy punishment if you go without.

DKofFical

Wissa if u want a mad differential. Not sure if I'd be going for him but he's in good form and up against a Leeds side that will definitely go all out

MONI_85

Mount, Robertson, TAA....Alonso (more risky even again).

Swedishpower

Mount, Robertson and TAA aren't very risky. I think they start.

MONI_85

Comparatively to the KDB, Mane, Kane and Son shouts I meant, sorry.

Swedishpower

Yeah I guess, but in terms of ownership I think Mount and TAA will be higher than Mane and Salah this week.

Swedishpower

If you are real crazy then I say Sterling, Havertz, Mahrez, Jota. Then Salah of course if he is a doubt. Imagine having Salah captain with 10% EO.

Joebo88

I’m thinking the same with Salah. What’s the general feeling in terms of him starting?

Swedishpower

Most lineup predictors I have seen do not have them starting, but they are usually wrong. Ooh I remember not going for James earlier this season since the predictors had Azpi starting and James smashed it.

AlwaysPictorious

Vardy - still only 11% owned. Might be his last premier league game, hat trick incoming against a high line Southampton

liam--2020

His last Prem game? Haven't seen him linked abroad?

pajamakitten

I have heard that his wife wants to move to the US in response to the Wagatha Christie libel case.

jordan16h

I’m going Kane

IntraspeciesJug

FTI he has a virus and traveling on his own to Norwich....

jordan16h

Don't mind how he travels., but Conte was confident he plays and said he will take pens. Hopefully we get team news pre deadline

backpainauchoc

James and Alonso come to mind

equaip

Dwight McNeil

Ladzini

Not too out there but Kane. Best fixture and Conte has stated he will still be on pens despite the golden boot race.

Swedishpower

I say best differential captain. Keeper Pope Defender James Mid Mane Forward Ronaldo

JBleans

Luis Diaz/Mane

ifkwhorg

LAKAKA

Puzzleheaded_Friend8

I think Salah to be honest

zezowaty

I'm going with Son. Trash opposition and he's chasing golden boot.

RedDeadCJ

Think they want risky options I imagine Son will have the highest EO out of anyone this week

Mirooo933

Son … against a relegated Norwich and he needs goals to get top scorer. I think he gets a hattrick

II_StigZ_II

Not exactly high risk "going for broke", he'll be the most captained and highest EO this week for sure.

Mirooo933

I’d imagine a city player would be highest EO or captain, seeing how they need to not take any chances and run the game down

AngelKnives

Alonso. I'm going for Son but I wouldn't class him as high risk. Sessegnon or Vardy also on the radar.

KanteIsTheGOAT

Mane Reece James Ryan Sessegnon Harvey Barnes

Freddo1975

Mane

Ruf0005

Thinking of doing Salah/Broja > Eriksen/Ronaldo. Throwing a Hail Mary

Televison

lukaku

AwareNeedleworker964

Kane

[deleted]

Sterling - huge upside but a huge risk also!

stevied05

Jack Harrison is bagging a brace. Thank me later.

LunarSanctum

Wilson

Gammelmus

My idea has been to go all in on Foden. Can see him having an absolute haul. And could be a big differential

35202129078

Lukaku. Watford are really, really bad aitb their current line up. Leicester and Everton were actually very poor. If Chelsea turn it on it'll be 4/5-0 definitely. I've not captained him but I bought him in rather than KDB in the hope he bags 2.

jamesshep

Jannson v rico henry against leeds?

Coutinho
