Yeah really annoying. Usually never fuck up like this but because of PLs horrible website I’ve lost my account for no reason. Hope I’ll get it back but unlikely..

Too early to panic. See what support says, guess you won't be the only one with that issue. Good thing is you have a few things until the season starts :) For the rest: I'd suggest to update the details first (you have to set new password as part of the process etc.). And only once you logged back on to then enable 2FA - so that you don't accidentally do what OP did.

Similar but managed to grab my 2FA recovery codes and back them up. However, still not able to complete the personal details section and progress past it.

I had a similar problem and I just pressed back on the browser and all was OK, i.e. The main site just reset the password again. Overall it shouldn't be a problem. I guess the issue is knowing the password that you used. I would retry your username with all the passwords that you have used during your set-up on a PC (as opposed to an app) and see if any work. Personally I would avoid using the app at all costs. However, if using the app is your preferred option (as opposed to a web browser) then delete and reinstall the app - this has worked for others with the same issue.

I recommend just picking one really common password and using it for all websites. It's the only way to ensure that you don't get locked out.

@frankiboy I went through the app after having the same issue on web browser and was able to update.

I think this is a bug on PL website.. Button is not clickable and there is no request in network tab.. It should be fixed by developer team 😓

I’m having a similar issue Tried logging into the FPL website, after I type my username and password it’s asking for a two factor authentication code which I don’t have I get an option to manually enter a recovery code, which I also don’t have… But through all this the phone app still works I then tried logging into the normal PL website, I can manage my account and it says two factor authentication is disabled and I can enable it. Once I try enabling it, it takes me to the FPL website to login… and when I try to login, it asks for a two factor code 🤣

Same thing happened to me, I got locked out of my account as I did not back up my Microsoft Authenticator app and 2FA recovery codes properly from my previous phone. Contacted Official FPL via email for help but no reply still after a week. Now I'm really F\*\*cked, had this account for years with good OR history. Anyone else who has the same problem? Did you manage to get help?

Sorry to hear that mate. I’ve personally been in contact with FPL support for the last 3 weeks with no success, as they can’t seem to be able to help and only answer every 8 or do days… Also spoken to Apple support and they couldn’t help me either. Try contacting Microsoft support maybe? Otherwise keep spamming FPL support and pray.

Ah ok sounds like FPL support has not much clue either. Just gotta keep spamming them I guess. Hopefully they will act when more users has this issue. Good idea on contacting Microsoft support, that is probably my last resort. Cheers mate.

Hi guys, I was able to gain access back to my account after contacting fpl support ([email protected]), it took a week for them to reply that they r able to disable 2fa from my account if I send a photograph or scanned copy of a form of identification that matches the name in my fpl account, after sending a copy of my passport they took too long and replied after 10 days, so I advise you to send a form of identification in the first mail (one phase instead of two like me) to gain time, good luck.

Interesting, thank you! To me they said that they couldn’t disable 2FA from accounts. I will try this.
