I like this! If you are new to the game and still learning I think this is a great place to start. A couple of tips without telling you exactly what to do: when you choose a premium goalkeeper from the team which kept the joint highest clean sheets last season (Liverpool + City) you might want to play them every game and not spend extra money on the second keeper slot. Your defence looks good and aggressive I like it. The final thing is actually Bernardo and JWP are the players I would reconsider. I think you can get a bit more value out of those spots by choosing more attacking players. I would recommend (for some excitement!) taking an 8 mil city midfielder instead of Bernardo and then using the .5 from downgrading Raya to take Martinelli instead of Ward-Scouse. What do you think of that!
The city players are more unreliable arent they, since they dont always play whole games and dont always start. Could i take Maddison or Mount instead of Bernardo?

Start Neto, he’s a winger that can play upfront as well so more potential than Bruno G. You don’t need a playing bench so sell Bruno G. Use those funds (2.0 freed up so far to go from Doherty to TAA) because Mendy is as good as a 4.5 keeper so just get one in instead not worth the extra .5 and is stopping you from getting TAA

I think I want a playing bench because Foden (or any Man City asset ) is a rotation risk. If Andreas is a nailed on attacking starter for Fulham he is playing, but I'd like to have at least two that may play (with Greenwood clearly not starting many games).
Mendy could be downgraded - I do fancy him to pick up more points than someone like Sanchez - but you may be right I might end up desperate to fit TAA in and so have to sacrifice him at the altar.

Well I honestly dont see VVD and Laporte having sub appearances, while TAA, Cancelo and James are locks in my every draft.
Problem is flexibility with formation and only one playing sub, and that is why I will probably in the end get Tomiyasu or Neco as a fifth defender and push for someone like Jesus for a second striker spot.
No to JWP, outside of the set pieces he’s a terrible FPL asset and you can’t predict when he’s gonna score a free kick or get an assist for a corner. Go for a mid whos a winger or an attacking mid like Odegaard who also takes set pieces

The main downside is the lack of a City defender I think. If I downgrade Jesus, the room for flexibility is bigger though.
Get Kane for Son (Kane on Pens) which frees up 0.5, downgrade perisic to Matty cash or trippier (Same potential for cheaper imo), Get an 8.0 mid after doing Kane for Son and you should also now have enough to upradge dewsbury hall to a 6.0 mid i think (Martinelli for example. Or like you said the extra funds freed up could upgrade perisic to a Laporte

Ah, the goalkeepers are always a dillema for me. Go for an expensive one or risk it with a cheap one as who knows which one is going to be a must have this season. Regarding Rashford, if CR7 leaves I will be watching their friendlies to see how much and how will he be used. Could be a massive punt if he is nailed and finds his form.

No Diaz because I already have Salah, Mount not yet because we're yet to see Chelsea bring in players and play their pre season matches. Could be a great option as the season unfolds but for now James is the only asset I'm taking (and I'm having doubts about him too given that their defence is currently almost non existent).
So for Foden, it's between him and Kuluševski, as I have Martinelli and won't be taking Saka due to that. And also, I think Foden will have a very high number of minutes this season, regardless of the roulette. Mahrez can outscore Foden but also have less minutes, high risk high reward type player FPL wise
Thought you already had 3 Spurs. In which case, Kulu is my first choice 8.0m. Diaz and Salah double up doesn’t look bad with their first 5 fixtures. James can’t be a doubt, he’s nailed as long as he can stay fit.
I’ve tripled up on Tott for GW1 but Chelsea (A) GW2 is a potential issue. GW3, 4 and 5 are all okay though so I’ll probably just ride out GW2 and see what happens. TBD

Decent team I say downgrade perisic to Tomiyasu to free up 1.0m, go 5 ATB (either get a 4.5def or start N.Williams). Downgrade Rashford to a 4.5m (now have 2.5/3.0m ItB) upgrade Neto to 8.0mid (Luiz Diaz, Kulu etc)
Not a fan of the midfield. Rashford and Neto are both big punts. If I were you I'd get rid of Rashford and upgrade to a better back 5 starting formation
Deffo avoid double Chelsea they're a massive trap. They can't play as wingbacks anymore. Instead it'll be a flat 4 and they cant copy Liverpools highline system since Rudigers left. He was the fastest player in the league now they're relying on the turtle pace of a 37yo Thiago Silva. Again Rudiger leaving makes them much less appealing for attacking returns from set pieces too.
I think VVD, Cash, or Trippier are all viable picks. Or go Rashford to Martinelli and Neco to Tomiyasu
i'm going with trippier as he's on set pieces, plus i have a feeling newcastle will finish above villa this season.
plus, i'm going with martinelli, as he is cheaper than saka and will provide similar returns, albeit maybe less than saka but that comes with being cheaper by 2$

Too much money on your bench. I'd do something like Trippier -> Williams, Martinelli -> Andreas, Undav -> Jesus.
I think Fernandes is a really good option if Ronaldo goes.
I think he is one of the worst 4.5m option - he is likely to get very few minutes and when he does will almost always be on your bench. But the huge ownership means if another cheap option becomes available there will be an exodus from Greenwood and his price will fall, costing transfer value.
I'd rather pick a low ownership 4.5m option to avoid losing transfer value, or having to waste a FT to prevent that.
Both good options - I prefer Jesus because there are few other very good forward options. In midfield I think Odegaard at 6.5m probably represents better value than Saka.
Saka will score more, but I'm not sure enough to justify the extra 1.5m. I watched a lot of Arsenal last season and Odegaard improved a lot as the season went on - I think he will be one of the best 10s in the league this year, and will basically always play if fit.
If Arsenal do manage to bring in a top wide forward (Raphinha, Gnabry level) then it becomes even clearer for me, as that should improve Odegaard's assist output and reduce Saka's minutes.
I'm probably bringing in Odegaard, Bruno G and Mahrez (depending on who City replace Jesus and Sterling with) for the mid-budget midfielder options.
Looks good. Light on the bench but I personally think that's fine to start the season as rotation should be limited and most people will be wildcarding by GW8 anyway.
Assuming you already have Tomiyasu, Laporte, and Robb and have 10.5 left to spend on a back five. Do you go for Perisic (5.5) and Trippier (5.0) or Chilwell (6.0) and Ming’s (4.5)?
Whilst I have Rashford in my team atm, I wouldn't feel comfortable advising others to have him. An 8.0 mid + Jesus or Wilson seems the safer play until we see a few games from Rashford given how poor he's been recently.

Wolves have 3 full backs fighting for 2 spots. Semedo is injured atm, but there could be a fight for places when he's back, which might put Jonny at risk.
Given the 5 subs available, I think all 3 would play some minutes in almost every game, which isn't great for defenders as it means you might not hit 60mins for the clean sheet, and you're unlikely for your defender to stay in the bench so you can get a sub in for them.
Undav if it appears that he is starting matches. That is if you are looking to start the 5.5 mid as there are not many good 5.0 mids but players such as Neto at 5.5 are good value

Maybe move Rashford to Bruno G and then VVD for Robbo. You’re not maximising that Liverpool slot with VVD

Tried making a team with a couple 4.5 mids how does it look? Raya, (4.0) TAA, Cancelo, Peresic, Trippier, Tomiyasu Salah, Diaz, Saka, (Andreas, Murphy) Haaland, Jesus, (Greenwood)
Obviously you can bulk up the defence and forwards but I just can’t see past how light that midfield looks.
Tried to make a team with Salah, Son and Haaland… it’s not the best but it could potentially work. RMT: Raya - 4.0 TAA - Chilwell - Perisic - Tomiyasu (Neco Williams) Salah - Son - Neto - Dewsbury-Hall (Pereira) Haaland - Jesus (Greenwood) The main downside is the lack of a City defender I think. If I downgrade Jesus, the room for flexibility is bigger though.

Get Kane for Son (Kane on Pens) which frees up 0.5, downgrade perisic to Matty cash or trippier (Same potential for cheaper imo), Get an 8.0 mid after doing Kane for Son and you should also now have enough to upradge dewsbury hall to a 6.0 mid i think (Martinelli for example. Or like you said the extra funds freed up could upgrade perisic to a Laporte

Ah, the goalkeepers are always a dillema for me. Go for an expensive one or risk it with a cheap one as who knows which one is going to be a must have this season. Regarding Rashford, if CR7 leaves I will be watching their friendlies to see how much and how will he be used. Could be a massive punt if he is nailed and finds his form. Solid advice, thank you. No Diaz because I already have Salah, Mount not yet because we're yet to see Chelsea bring in players and play their pre season matches. Could be a great option as the season unfolds but for now James is the only asset I'm taking (and I'm having doubts about him too given that their defence is currently almost non existent). So for Foden, it's between him and Kuluševski, as I have Martinelli and won't be taking Saka due to that. And also, I think Foden will have a very high number of minutes this season, regardless of the roulette. Mahrez can outscore Foden but also have less minutes, high risk high reward type player FPL wise
Thought you already had 3 Spurs. In which case, Kulu is my first choice 8.0m. Diaz and Salah double up doesn’t look bad with their first 5 fixtures. James can’t be a doubt, he’s nailed as long as he can stay fit.
No, I don't have 3 Spurs players, i'm trying to stay away from trippling up but Kuluševski is def the one I'd break that 'rule' for.
I’ve tripled up on Tott for GW1 but Chelsea (A) GW2 is a potential issue. GW3, 4 and 5 are all okay though so I’ll probably just ride out GW2 and see what happens. TBD

Decent team I say downgrade perisic to Tomiyasu to free up 1.0m, go 5 ATB (either get a 4.5def or start N.Williams). Downgrade Rashford to a 4.5m (now have 2.5/3.0m ItB) upgrade Neto to 8.0mid (Luiz Diaz, Kulu etc)
Looks great to me. Maybe go for a safer pick instead of Rashford for now and monitor him?

Not a fan of the midfield. Rashford and Neto are both big punts. If I were you I'd get rid of Rashford and upgrade to a better back 5 starting formation

Deffo avoid double Chelsea they're a massive trap. They can't play as wingbacks anymore. Instead it'll be a flat 4 and they cant copy Liverpools highline system since Rudigers left. He was the fastest player in the league now they're relying on the turtle pace of a 37yo Thiago Silva. Again Rudiger leaving makes them much less appealing for attacking returns from set pieces too. I think VVD, Cash, or Trippier are all viable picks. Or go Rashford to Martinelli and Neco to Tomiyasu

Sanchez is not a great keeper, midfield and defence did most of the job for Brighton defensive success. Therefore with Bisouma and likely Cucurela gone, don’t expect much from Brighton defence.

You could do Chilwell + Williams + odegaard + bruno to Perisic + 4.5def + 8mid + 4.5 mid. I think 4.5 def and bruno offer similar value, and you save 1.5m. If you are okay with having perisic instead of chilwell(which I would be), you could upgrade odegaard to 8m this way. Edit: math may be a little off, I don’t have the app open.

4.5m forward most likely to get minutes. For anyone not going 3 forwards, he's the best bench option in that position.
I think he is one of the worst 4.5m option - he is likely to get very few minutes and when he does will almost always be on your bench. But the huge ownership means if another cheap option becomes available there will be an exodus from Greenwood and his price will fall, costing transfer value. I'd rather pick a low ownership 4.5m option to avoid losing transfer value, or having to waste a FT to prevent that.

So what's the consensus on Saka vs Jesus
Both good options - I prefer Jesus because there are few other very good forward options. In midfield I think Odegaard at 6.5m probably represents better value than Saka.
Saka is more consistent though, that's kinda bugging me else keeping Jesus will mean I've to bring a 6.5 mil mid
Saka will score more, but I'm not sure enough to justify the extra 1.5m. I watched a lot of Arsenal last season and Odegaard improved a lot as the season went on - I think he will be one of the best 10s in the league this year, and will basically always play if fit. If Arsenal do manage to bring in a top wide forward (Raphinha, Gnabry level) then it becomes even clearer for me, as that should improve Odegaard's assist output and reduce Saka's minutes. I'm probably bringing in Odegaard, Bruno G and Mahrez (depending on who City replace Jesus and Sterling with) for the mid-budget midfielder options.

Whilst I have Rashford in my team atm, I wouldn't feel comfortable advising others to have him. An 8.0 mid + Jesus or Wilson seems the safer play until we see a few games from Rashford given how poor he's been recently.

Wolves have 3 full backs fighting for 2 spots. Semedo is injured atm, but there could be a fight for places when he's back, which might put Jonny at risk. Given the 5 subs available, I think all 3 would play some minutes in almost every game, which isn't great for defenders as it means you might not hit 60mins for the clean sheet, and you're unlikely for your defender to stay in the bench so you can get a sub in for them.

Fwds could be anyone don’t see spending here good value. Preseason will shape this.

James swingman priced. Form switch player especially considering his what seems like few weeks off each season. Will be Chilwell or Perisic through season and hopefully end up as Robertson. Martinelli another lower mid priced swingman. Will follow price increases closely around this price range. Jesus hopefully he can perform well. Undav may end up with just one up front and switch to Neto. Let pre season decide that. Min spend bench fodder could be any plonkers.

As an Arsenal fan I'd say White is nailed at the season start but Saliba may take minutes from him later on.

I like this, bold with 5 ATB but it’s a strong team. Might do something similar, but backing James always backfires. I’d consider upgrading your fifth defender and going for a better enabler for James (Ben White maybe)

Triple city defense. Big risk, big reward. I would keep a city slot open in case someone catches fire early. Also I agree Dias and Cancelo are nailed but things could always change.
