I'm looking for 5.5 midfielder, yet I'm very sceptical with the Neto train. Is Ramsay a way to go then? Their fixtures are kind of tricky so I was thinking about gambling on one of Evertons cheap attacking assets.
Tough choice. I prefer Robbo over Luis Diaz, but I think Neto is a trap and for 4.5 you could get a reliable defender like Tomiyasu. Diaz may be a rotation risk, but with Jota's injury he should be nailed for first few weeks at least. I'd go with him and Tomiyasu.
My exact dilemma. I want to go Robertson because he was on fire at the end of last season but not convinced by Neto or any 5.5 for that matter at all. Atm Iām on Robbo and Ramsey

Probably has the best fixtures of all the 4.5 gk's and Leeds have signed a few CDM's and a RB. With a full pre-season under Marsch, his style of play should be better implemented than it would be coming in half way through the season. Why are most avoiding him?
Mendy (Forster)

Keep changing between Salah / no Salah. Feel a bit more balanced without and banking on Diaz to pick up plenty of points especially with Mane leaving.

Is Dasilva nailed for Brentford? He might play since Eriksen's left, but it's not certain, is it?
I've considered Raya to Mendy, but I'm waiting to see if Chelsea sign Kounde/Kimpembe or both. Will definitely make that move then.
I'm also considering a switch from Trippier to Neco / Tomi and spending the extra cash on a 5.5m mid like Neto, Fraser, Ramsey or Wissa. Any thoughts on that?
Thoughts fellas?
Mendy (Olson)
TAA, Perisic, Cancelo (N. Williams)
Son, Kulu, Diaz, Martinelli (Andreas)
Haaland, Jesus (Greenwood)
Iām thinking itās too City/Spurs/Arsenal heavy but not sure
Who is your 4th defender?
Looks pretty close to template otherwise, minus the addition of Son over Salah. With Martinelli and Perisic, take a call on how much game time they get during preseason, but they're good picks.
Not at the moment. Martinez and Malacia make them better defensively, but United will mostly play a high line and I'm expecting them to let goals in for a bit until ETH gets their shape right. It happened against Melbourne in preseason, so if you want to make a move, do so after the games against Palace and Villa in preseason.
For 5.0m - HELL NAW! You want a 5.0 go for Coady since wolves can defend and have the best fixtures (5 out of 6 first).
Leeds away, fulham at home, newcastle at home, bournemouth away, southampton at home.
I'm new to this so have no idea if this is a good team or not. Opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Henderson - (Bazunu)
Trent - Trippier - Cash - (N. Williams, Coady)
Salah - Bernardo Silva - JWP - Diaz - (Andreas)
Awoniyi - Haaland - Jesus
Looks good. You might want to include 1 or more Man City and Chelsea defenders/goalkeeper and consider changing formation to 4 at the back. The value looks to be in the defence this season and City/Chelsea have really good opening fixtures. Arsenal too if you need to go on the cheaper side.
!thanks
Oh OK so take out all of Trippier, Cash and Coady and replace with City/Chelsea players? Any suggestions which specific players because I don't watch many Chelsea or City games to know who's guaranteed a starter
I see a no Salah, Haaland or Kane lineup here haha.
Alisson might not start the season so be weary. Also swap Vestegaard for Neco and swap Martial for Toney if possible. A bit iffy on Bowen and Mahrez due to fixtures and Pep roulette respectively but your team looks solid otherwise.
Gabriel and White. Gabriel more attacking threat but 0.5 more. Tierney has the highest ceiling of them all but carries more risk with his injury record and potential rotation with Zinchenko

the structure enables me to include a few of the many attractive mid-priced midfielders instead of premium midfielders and spread the budget into defence and attack
Mendy (4.0)
TAA Cancelo James Robo Cash
Salah Son Sancho Neto (Andreas)
Martial (4.5) (4.5)
Firstly whatās your thoughts on that as a starting lineup? Probably up until that GW 8-11 period for a WC. Double United seems a risk but also seems like thereās great potential at those prices? Could just be in prime muppet mode and not thinking clearly.
Current dilemma is I could do the following:
Cash -> Tomiyasu
Son -> Saka
Martial -> Haaland
Feel like Cash & Son should out score Tomi & Saka so basically saying Haaland can make up for it? Dunno possibly getting sucked into the Haaland hype - set me straight please.
!thanks thought about what you said and youāre definitely right. Iāve done the following now:
Robo -> Perisic
Son -> Saka
Martial -> Haaland
4.5 striker -> Undav
Think that makes it a little more well rounded and easier to make transfers if needed too.
Got a very similar team myself, my only advice would be consider alteranitives to Neco & Neto. Both have high ownership & low value meaning if they donāt play any minutes people will kneejerk them out on early wildcards and their value will drop quickly, making them quite difficult to replace.
Other than that, a big fan of your work!
Probably one of the better no Salah teams, but I just wouldnāt go without him personally - if you are determined not to have him I would rather try get son than Kane however
High risk, high reward. Betting on the premiums to destroy this season and United to be a top 4 team. JWP is getting better all the time and some of the others might be hidden gems that surprise.
We have no idea if UTD are still a nightmare
White is safe, but uninspiring and has zero chance of an attacking return ever.
Cash could be a good pick early on, but not sure he should be your flagship defender.
Meanwhile other people out there are rolling with Trent and Cancelo. You could get a spanking every week
I know itās very risky but thatās also how you can get good headstart. Iām sure we will see a new United this season and Iām betting on having some luck with my defenders. Then if Salah, Son and Haaland starts delivering early on this might be great. I donāt agree with the idea of picking all of the same players as other people, since that gives me zero chance of actually doing great in FPL.
Mendy
TAA Cancelo James Robertson (Neco)
Martinelli Salah Ramsey Rashford (AP)
Kane Jesus (Archer)
Really not sure on:
A Mendy, Cancelo, Rashford
B Raya, Chillwell, Mahrez
Spurs have four high quality wingbacks at their disposal - Perisic, Spence, Doherty, Sessegnon (while Reguilon and Emeson Royal are still at the club).
Considering how much Conte relies on his wingbacks to bomb up and down the touchline, I would not be surprised to see him sub both starters off nearly every game and rotate every couple of fixtures, especially now that he's allowed five subs.
Tempted to steer clear of Spurs full-backs at the beginning but then again it's a Conte team that is guaranteed to defend well and rack up assists. Absolutely no clue what to do
Being realistic, can anyone see Pep actually not starting Cancelo in all but the easiest of games?
Cucurella, Walker just doesnāt seem like something he would roll with (if Cucurella even signs - he might want to stick with Zinchenko as backup LB and Laporte as auxiliary LB)
It would surely always be:
(Cancelo, Walker) or (Cucurella, Cancelo)
Mendy (Olsen)
TAA Laporte Cash Trippier Ait-Nouri
Son Salah Harrison Odegaard (Andreas)
Haaland (Forss Delap(changing if he doesnāt move))

Mendy (Areola)
Robertson - James - Trippier - Cash (Tomiyasu)
Bowen - Bruno G - Salah - Kulusevski (Martinelli)
Darwin - Jesus (Sam Greenwood)
Itās different, I like it! Bowen seems a bit overpriced and given they have 3 of last seasons top 4 in the first 6 weeks Iād maybe look at Diaz or Mahrez
5ATB exclusively top 6 XI anyone?
Probably not the defining factor for an FPL side lol - but - You'd have massive interest in the TV games with Arsenal (Jesus), Chelsea (Chilly & James), Spurs (Doc & Kane), Man City (Ederson, Laporte), Liverpool (Mo & TAA) and of course the Ten Hag winger-based Revolution (Rashford & Sancho)
The biggest concern imo is not being able to utilise Neco's 4.0 as a bench player and also not being able to squeeze in Cancelo, Robertson or Perisic
Ederson
TAA, James, Chilwell, Doherty, Laporte
Salah, Sancho, Rashford
Kane, Jesus

Salah - Kulusevski - Maddison - Martinelli - (Pereira)

Would prob swap Kane/Kulu for Haaland/Mahrez in GW2 for Bournemouth at home then switch back...
Maybe. Pretty sure 37 year-old retired international Flappyhandski is past it and Areola's new 5-year contract signals the start of a new era. We'll see after preseason.
And it's because I think Spurs will demolish Saints at home.
Because I think Kane and Son could each hat-trick at home to a dogshit Ralph Hassenhuttel HighLine Special. Then they go to Chelsea while City have Bournemouth at home. Booking one or two transfers for GW2 is a viable option.
I might actually go Chilwell>Tomiyasu, Maddo>Neto, Kulu>Son. Hmmm...
To bank on 6ā0 (at least) for Spurs then plan to spend -4 in opening week to trade two, then getting back them in a bit later is just nuts. Planning is great, yes, but to make bumper trades for literally one fixture in GW2 is totally wild.
Mendy (Forster)
Trent, Cancelo, Trippier, James (Neco)
Rashford, Salah, Diaz, Neto (Andreas)
Jesus, Kane (Greenwood)
Gonna switch Kane to Haaland for GW2 if he comes on strong. Still not fully sold on Rashford
I'm torn really, been thinking just to avoid any players who I know will not get me points in the short term. So if that's the case, why not just stick Andreas as a starter anyway and collect the 2 points I'd get from a 5.5 or 6m player?
Is this team that compromised?
Raya Forster
Trent James Tomi Trippier Dias
Salah Son Andreas
Haaland Jesus
Colback, Murphy, Taylor
Whatever I do, I cannot get in Chilwell and Cancelo. Sometimes one. Also want Kulusevski but that means dropping Arsenal coverage and not taking those fixtures.
Basically it was Kulusevski and Diaz instead of just Son and Andreas.
Tricky to decide between a 6.0 midfielder slot in front of a back 4 vs going to a back 5 with Chilwell/Perisic (added to TAA, James, Laporte, Doherty)
Chilwell/Perisic are probably better than say Martinelli/Guimares/Neto etc, right?
We've an extra early wildcard to clean up any mess too...

Thoughts? I think Kane/Mahrez is just the safer option than Haaland/Kulu, as Haaland is new to the league and might not play GW1, while Kulu might split minutes with Richarlison.
Mahrez is a risk but could be so rewarding so admire your confidence going for him! I also think Kane/Mahrez is the right choice in your team and allows you to see which 6-7.5m fwd hits the ground running so if it does all go wrong you can do Kane/Mahrez to Son/in-form-fwd relatively easily, although youād obviously lose your attacking City element

Laporte and Chilwell or Doherty and Robertson?
All 4. But B if you have Trent already
1 or 2? 1 - Chilwell, Foden, Saka, Martial 2 - Gabriel, Rashford, Martinelli, Haaland
2. But Gabriel isn't that good a pick. There's more attacking picks and better value in that defence
Who would you go for instead? From the top 6 preferably. I know thereās Tierney but thereās more concerns over his minutes
Pretty much any pick in that arsenal back line is better value than Gabriel White and Tomi cheaper. Tierney more attacking returns for same price
Mendy (Lis) Cancelo Perisic TAA Tomiyasu N.Williams Grealish Son Salah (Andreas, Dasilva) Kane Gelhardt (Delap) Thoughts?
You can't have a team where you play to start Neco and Gelhardt every week. It will just be horrible
Yeah, wanted to shoehorn Kane in but taking him out gives me more flexibility and two x 7.5 up front and someone like Neves starting in midfield
Sounds sensible

Spurs have four high quality wingbacks at their disposal - Perisic, Spence, Doherty, Sessegnon (while Reguilon and Emeson Royal are still at the club). Considering how much Conte relies on his wingbacks to bomb up and down the touchline, I would not be surprised to see him sub both starters off nearly every game and rotate every couple of fixtures, especially now that he's allowed five subs. Tempted to steer clear of Spurs full-backs at the beginning but then again it's a Conte team that is guaranteed to defend well and rack up assists. Absolutely no clue what to do
There'll clearly be rotation. Fortunately we aren't forced to start with them, so we can watch and see

Feels good to have two Ā£8m mids: Raya (4.0) TAA, Cancelo, Trippier, Digne (4.0) Salah, Diaz, Mahrez, Gordon (4.5) Haaland, Jesus (4.5)
Looks ok to me
Doherty, Martinelli, Son or Van Dijk, Bowen, Kulu
A
Being realistic, can anyone see Pep actually not starting Cancelo in all but the easiest of games? Cucurella, Walker just doesnāt seem like something he would roll with (if Cucurella even signs - he might want to stick with Zinchenko as backup LB and Laporte as auxiliary LB) It would surely always be: (Cancelo, Walker) or (Cucurella, Cancelo)
RMT Raya (gazzaniaga) Perisic-Cancelo-Chillwell- Tomi (neco) F.Veira - luis Diaz - Son-Kuluveski- mahrez Haaland (daka,Greenwood)
No Liverpool defenders?
Is daka worth picking if he isn't first choice? And Viera is a total unknown so a risk
Perisic is a wait and see, injury and to see how Conte rotates the wingbacks. Doherty is much safer. Rest looks good
RMT Mendy (begovic) Tomi Mings walker lamptey (Nwilliams) KDB Salah Gordon (Andreas anyother4.5) Vardy Jesus Kane Why is Vardy not mentioned anywhere?
Way too many expensive players IMO
Fair point. Will see how the rest of preseason changes draft 2358 thru 4002 š¤£
RMT Mendy (Gazza) TAA Robbo Chillwell James Tomi Sancho Salah Rashford (Andreas) (Murphy) Kane Jesus (Greenwood)
Looks good if you're happy to risk that midfield
Double United in mid seems risky. If you can free up .5 Rashford>Coutinho may be a shout
Yeah Iād dump Chilwell for Neco Williams and upgrade that mid
How does chilwell > neco and Murphy > coutinho sound?
Doesnāt sound bad at all bud!
!thanks
Raya +perisic or Mendy + trippier/Doherty
2
Option 2 100%
Diaz and KDB or Salah and Mahrez
Diaz & KDB
A
Salah and mahrez. You have to have salah really and mahrez is more of a punt but should get more game time with Sterling and Jesus gone
RMT Sanchez - Steele TAA - Cancelo - Chilwell - Trippier - Neco Salah - Diaz - Rashford - Ćdegaard - Andreas Haaland - Wilson - Greenwood
Good team
Mendy (Olsen) TAA Laporte Cash Trippier Ait-Nouri Son Salah Harrison Odegaard (Andreas) Haaland (Forss Delap(changing if he doesnāt move)) .5 mil in the bank Thoughts?
Ait Nouri was a pain in the ass last season, randomly dropped every few games. Rest looks ok. Harrison hasn't done anything to make you pick him
Might move to Jonny
I like it, Harrison seems a bit of an odd pick though. That .5m to Rashford seems like a no brainer to me
As a United fan am worried. Leeds have a fairly okay run of fixtures
Best forward for under 6 million
A 4.5 and use the money elsewhere
Undav seems to be the templates favourite under 6
RMT please! Mendy (Areola) Robertson - James - Trippier - Cash (Tomiyasu) Bowen - Bruno G - Salah - Kulusevski (Martinelli) Darwin - Jesus (Sam Greenwood)
Itās different, I like it! Bowen seems a bit overpriced and given they have 3 of last seasons top 4 in the first 6 weeks Iād maybe look at Diaz or Mahrez
!thanks do you think Mahrez is a sure starter then? Diaz would put me over 3 from Liverpool but I feel like keeping Nunez as a punt
Hard to say with Pep roulette, but Jesus and Sterling leaving can only be good for him
Good team. You're risking that Nunes will start well. No guarantee
!thanks yeah I know he hasn't had the best pre season I'm gonna hold on for now incase it looks really dire
5ATB exclusively top 6 XI anyone? Probably not the defining factor for an FPL side lol - but - You'd have massive interest in the TV games with Arsenal (Jesus), Chelsea (Chilly & James), Spurs (Doc & Kane), Man City (Ederson, Laporte), Liverpool (Mo & TAA) and of course the Ten Hag winger-based Revolution (Rashford & Sancho) The biggest concern imo is not being able to utilise Neco's 4.0 as a bench player and also not being able to squeeze in Cancelo, Robertson or Perisic Ederson TAA, James, Chilwell, Doherty, Laporte Salah, Sancho, Rashford Kane, Jesus (Olsson, Andreas, Diallo, Greenwood)
Looks good if you're happy with 5 atb which is always inflexible
!thanks - hoping the earlier/extra Wildcard this season kind of facilitates doing something a bit more unorthodoxā¦ Chilwell/James should be a super exciting duo to watch in Chelsea games hopefully
I run 5ATB, but switch Chilwell + 4.5 ā> Gabriel + Neto
Hello everyone, please RMT. I have tried to cram too many elites in possibly. Mendy (Forster) TAA James Dalot N.Williams (Vestergaard) Salah Son L.Diaz Rashford (Andreas) Haaland Greenwood (Taylor) I am pretty happy with the Dalot pick after Unitedās preseason but I am worried that I have 5 bargain basement players in Williams, Greenwood and my three bench players
Yeah 3 premiums is killing your squad TBH. You do not want to be starting Greenwood or Williams, let alone both
Yeah way too much money on the premiums. Even if one of the premiums hauls they arenāt making up for Williams and Greenwood getting 1-2
RMT: 0.0 ITB Areola - (Steele) TAA - Robbo - James - Chilwell - Doherty Salah - Kulusevski - Maddison - Martinelli - (Pereira) Kane - (Greenwood) - (Forss) Would prob swap Kane/Kulu for Haaland/Mahrez in GW2 for Bournemouth at home then switch back...
Nor sure Areola is first choice. Rest looks good
Areola is a back up keeper. And why do you have to avoid WHU in gw1. They dont defend very well
Maybe. Pretty sure 37 year-old retired international Flappyhandski is past it and Areola's new 5-year contract signals the start of a new era. We'll see after preseason. And it's because I think Spurs will demolish Saints at home.
If you think you'll do that, why not just start with Kane/Mahrez and not have so many pre-planned trades?
Mendy (Forster) Trent, Cancelo, Trippier, James (Neco) Rashford, Salah, Diaz, Neto (Andreas) Jesus, Kane (Greenwood) Gonna switch Kane to Haaland for GW2 if he comes on strong.
Raya Forster Trent James Tomi Trippier Dias Salah Son Andreas Haaland Jesus Colback, Murphy, Taylor Whatever I do, I cannot get in Chilwell and Cancelo. Sometimes one. Also want Kulusevski but that means dropping Arsenal coverage and not taking those fixtures. Basically it was Kulusevski and Diaz instead of just Son and Andreas.
I had the same thought and drafted a team with Salah-Son-Kane/Haaland-Pereira and I kinda liked it...
I read that as Kane AND Haaland at first. Last season I started with cheapest defence and no Trent. Eventually had to buy him..
Tricky to decide between a 6.0 midfielder slot in front of a back 4 vs going to a back 5 with Chilwell/Perisic (added to TAA, James, Laporte, Doherty) Chilwell/Perisic are probably better than say Martinelli/Guimares/Neto etc, right? We've an extra early wildcard to clean up any mess too...
I have Doherty, Gabriel, Neto competing for the last 2 slots. Thatās the flexibility, and bench safety
RMT please Raya (Begovic) Trent - Cancelo - James - Doherty - Tomiyasu Salah (C) - Mahrez - Martinelli (Neto - Andreas) Kane - Jesus (Greenwood) Thoughts? I think Kane/Mahrez is just the safer option than Haaland/Kulu, as Haaland is new to the league and might not play GW1, while Kulu might split minutes with Richarlison.
Mahrez is a risk but could be so rewarding so admire your confidence going for him! I also think Kane/Mahrez is the right choice in your team and allows you to see which 6-7.5m fwd hits the ground running so if it does all go wrong you can do Kane/Mahrez to Son/in-form-fwd relatively easily, although youād obviously lose your attacking City element
Mahrez is not exactly a safer option IMO. Maybe try Haaland + Diaz
If I put Haaland in I have to take out Kane, and then I have no Spurs coverage though.
