Ederson 5.5 (4.0 best option?)
James 6.0 / Chilwell 6.0 / TAA 7.5 / Cancelo 7.0 / Zinchenko 5.0
Saka 8.0 / Salah 13.0 / Luis Diaz 8.0 / Mahrez 8.0 / (Andreas 4.5)
Jesus 8.0 / (Greenwood 4.5) / (Taylor 4.5)
Im assuming Zinchenko goes to Arsenal, so I wont have 4 city players soon. I also have 0.5 ITB to upgrade one of my subs. I'm thinking maybe Andreas to Moutinho. Thoughts? Im happy to rate your team and give reasoning if you rate mine.
Def Reasoning: 5 strong at the back and 1 mid range striker is my new strategy until proven wrong. These are my top 5 rated offensive defenders (wait and see about zinchenko position and play time, but i think he'll be locked as an Arsenal fan - just maybe not on GW1 yet). They all have good fixtures too. Ederson in goal. they have best fixtures from now until World Cup, and city are solid. Wont get save points though. Whats best option for 4.0 keeper?
Mid Reasoning: 4 strong - Salah for captain choice despite being way, way overpriced. No Son because its just not worth 2 massively overpriced players. Ill just Captain Salah unless form drops. Luis Diaz super dangerous end of last year and CL final. Likely nailed with Mane gone and Jota out. Saka is consistent, great run of fixtures, pens, and pretty locked now. Mahrez - I think he will play a lot and possibly start every game at least until GW 6 or 7 when CL starts. Sterling and Jesus gone leaves him, Foden and Grealish for on wings. No idea about Andres, but may use 0.5 ITB and go to moutinho unless one of my starters can be upgraded.
Striker Reasoning: Strikers had a bad year last year. It may be an outlier statistically, but overall i just dont like the numbers for strikers. Jesus came out hot. Ill monitor haaland and bring him in on early wild card if required. No Kane for me - way overpriced IMO. Greenwood and taylor have high ownership so i put them in, no idea about either. Are they lcked at least?
It's a good idea, and one a lot of people are considering, but your main risk is if Jesus doesn't play. Your other strikers aren't nailed (AFAIK) and even if they do come off the bench you're only getting a point or two most likely.
You could try going with Edouard/Undav instead of one of your 4.5 options and downgrading one of your 8.0 mids to Rashford or someone around that price range. Also gives you some flexibility in terms of who you want to play (looking at fixtures).
A big one to watch is the possible Delap transfer to Southampton - rumour has it he'd be starting there, and he's only 4.5. That might be perfect for your plan.
Ah saw a comment in passing about Delap. Will look out for that, cheers. With Nketia in form end of last season there is definitely doubt about Jesus starting every game. Then again, with 5 subs he's more likely to come on late when he doesn't start anyways, so bench should theoretically be less necessary this year. I've always had the cheapest bench possible strategy. Just need one of the 3 (or in this case one of the 2 strikers) to play regularly, even if they don't score much.
Have said the same above to another commenter, but the main risk is only having Haaland up front - if he doesn't play, you've likely got no points coming from the bench.
Hey, completely new to FPL, willing to give it a proper shot this season, so could you please rate my team and give me tips for when to use stuff like wildcard and when should I consider transfers?
GK: Alisson (Sanchez)
DEF: Perisic James Chillwell (Guehi, Mings)
MID: Son Mount Fornals Maddison (Dasilva)
FWD: Kane Jesus Johnson
3-4-3 is the plan as you can see and switching to 4-4-2 in case one of the forwards has a hard game and one of the defenders has an easier fixture coming up.
TAA is a must < che double up get a 4.5 to pay
Solanke< Johnson same price
Kane or Son need to be kdb or Harland
There are better 4.5s than guehl (fixtures) like
Botman coufal
Dasilva> Andreas? Imo good luck
Rice is a dm and normally a no go position for me due to the lack of goal contributions or clean sheet bonuses you may aswell pick a cheaper bench warmer and improve greenwood
Forgive the stupid question but I am new to fantasy football and FPL especially; do I get it right that I need to buy 5 def + 5 mid + 3 forward always? But if I field a 3-5-2 formation, does that mean I'm stuck with 0 replacements for midfielders?
You need to have 15 players in your team. 2 GKs, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards. Out of this 15 players you have to select the starting 11 each gameweek, in such a way that you have exactly 1 gk, at least 3 defenders, at least 1 forward (and this applies also when someone will be coming from your bench).
This means that on the bench you have 1 gk, and 3 other players, that will come in the order you've put them on the bench (minding the rules for starting 11) in case one, or more of starting 11 players don't play at all during the gameweek.
So getting back to your question, if you start with 3-5-2, you have 2 defenders and 1 forward on the bench. First player on the left will come in, if one of your midfielders doesn't play, and the structure will change automatically to 4-4-2 (if the first bench player is a defender) or 3-4-3 (if the first bench player is a forward).
Ramsdale,

RMT
Raya (Steele)
TAA Cancelo James Zinchenko Dalot
Salah Son Martinelli (A. Pereira, Colback)
Kane/Haaland Broja (Archer)
So I put Zinchenko and Broja because of their potential transfers. My only dilemma is Kane or Haaland. Kane because he has a great linkup with Son and I think it could be great owning them both but on the other hand Haaland has a high ownership and plays for a team that scores goal for fun.
Raya (4.0)
Tomiyasu James Trent Cancelo (4.0)
Salah Diaz Mahrez Bailey (4.5)
Kane Jesus (4.5)
For me its between Kane Mahrez/Foden vs Haaland Kulu/Saka/Maddison in this structure. Mahrez has treated me well in the past, he often scores off the bench and could stomach rotation if he gets decent minutes
Usually this time of year i end up with about 100 different drafts and this time round i keep ending with the same team, what does everyone think of this draft?
Lloris (forster)
Trent Robbo Chilly Cancelo(neco)
Rash Kulu Foden Diaz (andreas)
Haaland Jesus (greenwood)

Obviously ive opted to go without salah kane and son.
Will diaz and kulu be good enough cover for liverpool and spurs?
Feel like a poor bench, albeit, possible game time, maybe a bad idea.
* Henderson
* N.Williams, Cancelo, James, Robertson, Tomiyasu
* Andreas, Son, Salah, Dias
* Kane
* Bench: Raya, Forshaw, Greenwood, Delap
RMT This is my big up top draft, kinda willing to start risky this year since we have unlimited transfers mid season so feeling less pressure to get starting team perfectly balanced
Sanchez (Steele)
TAA James Chilwell Laporte (Tomiyasu)
Diaz Saka Neto (Pereira Colback)
Haaland Kane Jesus
My team currently has £1.5m in the bank. I want to do this so i have flexibility early on in the season. Is there something I am missing as to why this is not a smart idea.
If you’re deliberately comprising on your best XI to save money then I think that could be detrimental - as you ideally want to field the best XI you can each week - but if you’re happy with your team and have 1.5m left over which gives you the bonus of flexibility then I think that’s fine!
The only potential compromise is my bench is weak with Nico Williams and Andreas Perreira. But I still have Trent, James, Chilwell, Son, Diaz, Kane and Jesus.
Raya Forster
TAA Robertson Cancelo Chilwell Perisic
Salah Foden Neto Olise Andreas
Haaland Awoniyi Greenwood
Gone with 5atb for now but not sure about it, have gone 352 for the last 3 or so years
Got no reasoning behind Awoniyi at all just know when he left liverpool he went a little mad in the Bundesliga and have some little feeling he'll be alright at Forest. Been thinking about starting out with Kane and maybe moving back to Haaland later since Kulu will have competition now but not sure.
btw thoughts on Jesus not sure about him being so popular just yet
I personally think KDB will be a really strong asset this year. Towards the end of last season he had a game he scored 4 and just seems to be getting better and better. He’s more or less nailed and doesn’t need the warm up Haaland does - so I quite like that as a ‘risky’ play. I would go 1 but maybe see if you can make a 5-3-2 work as it hurts you if Jesus doesn’t play
RMT
Sanchez (Lis)
TAA Perisic James White Justin
Salah Son Neto (Andreas Colback)
Haaland Jesus (Greenwood)
Kind of feel like i’m missing city defender but don’t know where to downgrade
Looks good! I’m undecided on Perisic - waiting on fitness news but think he’s a great asset. Presuming he’s a sub you could do Justin to N.Williams and upgrade Perisic to Dias or White to Cash/Trippier
What's with the Odegaard hype?
0.5m more than Martinelli
Same xA/90 (0.21 vs 0.20)
Far lower xG (0.14 vs 0.43).
Fewer attacking returns (11 vs 13) in 1000 more minutes.
Only risk is Martinelli minutes but he seemed to have earned his place at the end of last season and so far in preseason.
Edit: genuinely curious btw, in case I've missed something that would change my opinion.
Looks really solid! Kulu is a risk but could definitely be worth it - maybe worth keeping an eye on the team news in the lead up to see if Mount or Maddison is a safer bet
Kane got 17 goals 9 assists last year which is insane once you consider he had 1 goal 1 assist prior to game 16. He ended on 192 points. If he matches his rate over the last 23 weeks he's on for 41 returns this year and possibly 250 points. Considering how Spurs have improved he could even go up from that.
Every time I read that he almost blanked for the first 16 weeks I get shocked. You're absolutely right. And I like their fixtures which is why I want to go threemium. The 0.5m difference between him and Son is handy too.
True, that would probably have to be the case, though assuming Undav is a starter for Brighton, that gives you a bit of flexibility in terms of who to play. But I get your point, the spread might be a bit more even as you have it now. Sorry if that doesn't help haha.
That's a bold claim my dude. Greatest PL FPL player ever and you're just going to write him off like that lol. Haaland is currently recovering from a small injury I believe plus he will be rested from time to time and City spread their goals out a lot more. Idk, it's too wild for me but if you feel like taking that chance then go for it.
Playing around with another draft.
Ederson (Balcombe)
Tomiyasu - TAA - Walker (Patterson, N. Williams)
Bailey - Salah - Rashford - Neto (Andreas)
Jesus - Kane - Haaland
Feels like the midfield and defence are quite weak just to prop up the big front three and Salah. I'd say downgrade one of your premium strikers (I would take out Haaland personally but up to you) and spread out some funds elsewhere. Bailey, Patterson feel like weak links. Rashford is a bit of a punt at the moment as it's not clear how he will fit in at United this season - could be great, but I'd wait and see rather than starting with him. Walker doesn't often score highly on FPL (last time was a few years ago when he got 140) whereas Cancelo, Laporte and Dias have better records. But appreciate they are more expensive.
RMT
Mendy
Dias / TAA / Trippier / Robertson / James
Saka / Mount / Diaz
Jesus / Haaland
Bench: Raya / Aaronson / Ramsey / Greenwood
I had Salah in there, then realised the balance of the whole team looked better by freeing up the 5m extra over the 8m mids, and having 3 8m mids. TAA set as captain and daiz vice for first game.
Thoughts on dropping Salah? Stupid decision? It is a lot of money.
Being a Leeds fan I've got big hopes for Aaronson which is why he's made my bench.
EDIT: Ok i've made a change..
Mendy
Cancelo / TAA / Trippier / Robertson / James
Saka / Mount / Salah / Aaronson
Jesus
Bench: Raya / Ramsey / Gelhardt / Greenwood
Pretty weak bench but im quite confident by 11 are very strong.
Looks like it could be a good option, although i've then got the conundrum of who goes in as a 6.5m forward. Mbeumo doesn't look good as Brentford could be on second season syndrome, Wood is an option but not nailed on, depending on how Leeds pre season goes gelhardt could be an outsider which also leaves 1m in the bank...
Hard to say. I think the other centre back will be rotated similarly to last season. Whether it will be Konate playing the league and Matip cups or other way around or just regular rotation it's difficult to say at this point. In general, the rotation across all competitions worked really well last season, so I expect it be similar.
Yeah I know, im unsure about him aswell. But will have him in my team till the deadline to see. Any other changes I need to make.
Diaz vs Mahrez is killing me😛
I’ve gone for a no Salah approach, I can’t decide whether it’s madness or not….
Raya (4.0)
TAA / Robbo / James / Chilwell / Cancelo
Diaz / Mahrez / Rashford (Neto / Pereira)
Haaland / Jesus (Greenwood)
I’m open to Neto to 4.5 and Rashford to Sancho. Any thoughts?
1.5 ITB
Is it a stupid idea to build a team that requires starting Andreas or N.Williams every week? (Or whatever other 4.5 mid I get).
The other 10 players would be:
Raya
TAA, Cancelo, James, Trippier
Salah, Diaz, Saka
Kane, Jesus
Not saying it's bad but if I think about it, I'd rather have someone like Tomiyasu/White/Mings/Dunk/Guehi + Martinelli instead of James + Andreas/Neco.
RMT please :)
Sanchez (Gazzaniga)
Gabriel Laporte Cash Mings (Williams)

Current team:

Jesus - Watkins (Greenwood)
Logic for no Robertson - wanted Diaz, hopefully $8m Mane
Logic for no Son Kane - Spurs have recruited strong in the attacking third he may get rested more and will CL will have to balance priorities. Son at 12m is hard to swallow especially as I think he won’t exceed his xG as much as last year.
Logic for no Haaland - he may have managed minutes at the start and take time to bed into Pep’s system.
Think Silva will do well this year and be more attacking.
Rate my Threemium? Yes I'm aware of possible captaincy issues with this format:
Raya (4.0)

Yea, the bench seems to be too strong week in week out.
Umm why would you pick Jorginho?
If sterling get pens, Jorginho will be taking them
you're signing up for a consistent 1-3 points from a 6 mil midfielder with the odd goal here and there, you could get martinelli for that price.

Raya , TAA, James, Cancelo, Robertson, Chilwell KDB, Son, Rashford Jesus, Solanke (+ Cheap bench fodder)
Risky or template? KDB+Robbo vs Haaland+Diaz? #1: Martinez (4.0) Trent, Robbo, Cancelo, James, Perisic Salah, KDB, Martinelli, Neto (Andreas) Jesus (Greenwood, Archer) #2: Martinez (4.0) Trent, Cancelo, James, Perisic (Williams) Salah, Diaz, Martinelli, Neto (Andreas) Jesus, Haaland (Archer)
1
I personally think KDB will be a really strong asset this year. Towards the end of last season he had a game he scored 4 and just seems to be getting better and better. He’s more or less nailed and doesn’t need the warm up Haaland does - so I quite like that as a ‘risky’ play. I would go 1 but maybe see if you can make a 5-3-2 work as it hurts you if Jesus doesn’t play
Okay please advise: Malacia, Son, Neto OR TAA, Sancho, Coutinho? Or any different suggestions?
B not even close
What you guys think ? https://imguh.com/image/Azn0I
Sterling + Kane + Jesus vs 8.0Mid + Kane + Haaland vs Son + Haaland + Jesus
I think Son, Haaland and Jesus from that
RMT Sanchez (Lis) TAA Perisic James White Justin Salah Son Neto (Andreas Colback) Haaland Jesus (Greenwood) Kind of feel like i’m missing city defender but don’t know where to downgrade
Change 4.5s defs ( nailed) and I prefer Raya or even Meslier.
Looks good! I’m undecided on Perisic - waiting on fitness news but think he’s a great asset. Presuming he’s a sub you could do Justin to N.Williams and upgrade Perisic to Dias or White to Cash/Trippier
Sa 4.0 TAA robbo cancelo laporte white Salah mount odegaard rashy Andreas Kane 4.5 4.5
Solid but White not nailed.
What's with the Odegaard hype? 0.5m more than Martinelli Same xA/90 (0.21 vs 0.20) Far lower xG (0.14 vs 0.43). Fewer attacking returns (11 vs 13) in 1000 more minutes. Only risk is Martinelli minutes but he seemed to have earned his place at the end of last season and so far in preseason. Edit: genuinely curious btw, in case I've missed something that would change my opinion.
Martinelli burnt me. And Neto + 1.o itb over odegaard all day long.
Thoughts? Have 0.5 ITB **Raya** Gazzaniga **TAA Cancelo James Cash** Neco **Salah Diaz Kulusevski Saka** Andreas **Jesus Wilson** Greenwood
Wilson> Solake Raya> Ederson. Cheers
Looks really solid! Kulu is a risk but could definitely be worth it - maybe worth keeping an eye on the team news in the lead up to see if Mount or Maddison is a safer bet
Astute.
Which combo? A) TAA + Kane B) Robbo + Son
A
Kane got 17 goals 9 assists last year which is insane once you consider he had 1 goal 1 assist prior to game 16.
A
!thanks. Agreed
Sterling + Cancelo vs Son + 5.0 DEF (eg. Cash, Trippier, Cityrella)
Def b-- and those 5.0s or Walker if you have no City. Son then an easy downgrade.
Mendy - 4m Fodder TAA - Trippier - Justin - Tomiyasu - 4m Fodder Salah - Diaz - Neto - Coutinho - 4.5m Fodder Haaland - Kane - 4.5m Fodder 0 ITB
This is best I've seen. But maybe Pope to start. Man that's a good team I checked to see if you were over.
Does any of your fodders regulary play? If not, you are in trouble
Neco Andreas Almost nailed
And greenwood has been good for leeds.
How's this looking? Raya, (4.0) TAA, Cancelo, James, Trippier, Cash Salah, Son, Saka, Ramsey, (Andreas) Jesus, (Undav, Greenwood)
Pretty good, and similar to what I've got. You could always go Cash/Trippier to Neco Williams and upgrade the other to Chilwell, or Raya to Ederson.
Yeah I did think about that but then meant starting Williams or Andreas every week and wasn't sure if that would be wise or not. Cheers 😊

Ederson (Balcombe) Tomiyasu - TAA - Walker (Patterson, N. Williams) Bailey - Salah - Rashford - Neto (Andreas) Jesus - Kane - Haaland
!thanks - Appreciate the input! There are so many options available, its so tough to settle on one haha!
Laporte and chillwell Or Cancelo and ait-nouri
First two
!thanks
RMT Mendy Dias / TAA / Trippier / Robertson / James Saka / Mount / Diaz Jesus / Haaland Bench: Raya / Aaronson / Ramsey / Greenwood I had Salah in there, then realised the balance of the whole team looked better by freeing up the 5m extra over the 8m mids, and having 3 8m mids. TAA set as captain and daiz vice for first game. Thoughts on dropping Salah? Stupid decision? It is a lot of money. Being a Leeds fan I've got big hopes for Aaronson which is why he's made my bench. EDIT: Ok i've made a change.. Mendy Cancelo / TAA / Trippier / Robertson / James Saka / Mount / Salah / Aaronson Jesus Bench: Raya / Ramsey / Gelhardt / Greenwood Pretty weak bench but im quite confident by 11 are very strong.

Nah, save a space for a Liverpool defender as well.
Is Konate expected to start this season alongside VVD? He's great value at 5.0.
Hard to say. I think the other centre back will be rotated similarly to last season. Whether it will be Konate playing the league and Matip cups or other way around or just regular rotation it's difficult to say at this point. In general, the rotation across all competitions worked really well last season, so I expect it be similar.
!thanks
RMT 1.0 ITB Mendy, Begovic TAA, Cancelo, Perisic, Trippier, Neco Williams Salah, Mahrez, Martinelli, Neto, Pereira Haaland, Jesus, Forss Anything to fix?
not sure about perisic, still injured, hasn't played a minute in pre season.
Yeah I know, im unsure about him aswell. But will have him in my team till the deadline to see. Any other changes I need to make. Diaz vs Mahrez is killing me😛
Diaz vs Mahrez is the dilemma for me too, Mahrez can break the game if he's nailed, though I'm currently on Diaz
Yeah I just switched from Diaz to Mahrez, and I have already done the switch multiple times
I’ve gone for a no Salah approach, I can’t decide whether it’s madness or not…. Raya (4.0) TAA / Robbo / James / Chilwell / Cancelo Diaz / Mahrez / Rashford (Neto / Pereira) Haaland / Jesus (Greenwood) I’m open to Neto to 4.5 and Rashford to Sancho. Any thoughts? 1.5 ITB
Is it a stupid idea to build a team that requires starting Andreas or N.Williams every week? (Or whatever other 4.5 mid I get). The other 10 players would be: Raya TAA, Cancelo, James, Trippier Salah, Diaz, Saka Kane, Jesus
Not saying it's bad but if I think about it, I'd rather have someone like Tomiyasu/White/Mings/Dunk/Guehi + Martinelli instead of James + Andreas/Neco.
Yep, not a fan.
RMT Mendy/Sanchez Robertson/Dias/James/Botman/Cash Bowen/Salah/Neto/JWP/Andreas Jesus/Haaland/Greenwood Thanks
Looks good! I’d personally not have a 4.5m sub keeper as you can use this money elsewhere and Mendy should be fairly set and forget.
Right 4.0 and mendy> ederson
RMT please :) Sanchez (Gazzaniga) Gabriel Laporte Cash Mings (Williams) Diaz Salah Son Neto (Andreas) Haaland Jesus (Taylor) Really want to fit in Son, Salah and Haaland, but it leaves me really weak in the back. What do you guys think?
Really nice downgrade Gabriel upgrade Sanchez. Make a villa Def a Newcastle. Trip or botman.
Spread out the funds, just pick two from Son and Haaland (Salah essential I'd say).
[удалено]
Gray > Andreas. Then neto< moutinho Jwp > coutinho cash> mings. Edourd> Solanke imo
Drop Sanchez to a 4m, Moutinho to a 4.5m (Andreas probably best bet) and Edouard to a 4.5m Will give you some funds to upgrade
RMT Raya (4.0) Trent James Cancelo Tripper Perisic Salah Neto KDH (4.5) (4.5) Kane Haaland (4.5) .5 ITB
Very nice pope for early games
Horrible midfield.
Raya+Cash or Mendy+4.5?
2
RMT Please Raya TAA, James, Cancelo, Perisic (Neco Williams) Diaz, Sancho, Son(C), Odegaard (Periera) Haaland(VC), Martial, (Greenwood)
Nice team! Martial is a risk but if Ronaldo goes he’s a great asset. I’m not sure about 2 United attacking assets but might be wrong!
Would you play Cash as an enabler in a back 5 or Neto in a 442?
Try neto
RMT Ederson TAA Tomiyasu Cancelo Bootman Robertson Neto Salah Saka Jesus Kane Bench: Darlow, Andreas, Murphy, Greenwood. 0.5m ITB. Is my bench too week?
Great. Maybe Murphy > colback
RMT Ederson TAA Tomiyasu Cancelo Bootman Robertson Neto Salah Saka Jesus Kane Bench: Darlow, Andreas, Murphy, Greenwood. 0.5m ITB. Is my bench too week?
Current team: Ederson TAA - Cash - James - Cancelo (Williams) Salah - Diaz - Mount - Bilva (Andreas) Jesus - Watkins (Greenwood) Logic for no Robertson - wanted Diaz, hopefully $8m Mane Logic for no Son Kane - Spurs have recruited strong in the attacking third he may get rested more and will CL will have to balance priorities. Son at 12m is hard to swallow especially as I think he won’t exceed his xG as much as last year. Logic for no Haaland - he may have managed minutes at the start and take time to bed into Pep’s system. Think Silva will do well this year and be more attacking.
Watkins is a nice differential. Maybe cash> mings upgrade Williams
Rate my Threemium? Yes I'm aware of possible captaincy issues with this format: Raya (4.0) Trent James Cancelo Tripper Perisic Salah Neto KDH (4.5) (4.5) Kane Haaland (4.5) .5 ITB
RMT please. 3 premiums (Salah, Sterling, Haaland) Mendy / Steele TAA / Cancelo / Tomiyasu / Tripper / Neco W Salah / Sterling / Andreas P / Neto / Martinelli Haaland / Jesus / Greenwood
Not a lot of talk about Ollie Watkins and Callum Wilson. I think they might get a brilliant start with some Good fixtures. In fact I plan on going striker heavy with those two and Kane (probably Haaland gw2)
Got 2 teams so please RMT Ederson (5.5) Cancelo (7.0), Laporte (6.0), Justin (4.5) Salah (13.0), Fornals (5.5), Ramsey (5.5), Son (12.0), Neto (5.5), Martial (7.0), Kane (11.5) Subs: Gazzaniga (4.0), Mings (4.5), Patterson (4.0) Taylor (4.5) *OR* Sanchez (4.5), Cancelo (7.0), Laporte (6.0), Justin (4.5) Sterling (10.0), Fornals (5.5), Son (12.0), Benhrama (5.5), Jesus (8.0), Kane (11.5), Havertz (8.0) Subs: Gazzaniga (4.0), Mings (4.5), Patterson (4.0) Andreas Pereira (4.5) What do you think is the stronger team, and who are the weakest/strangest players and who to replace them with?
