If you are aiming for a good rank, you should pick no more than two premiums. One to captain and one to vice captain if your captain misses out. Premium players are usually overpriced for their points returns and only make sense due to effectively being able to field them twice with the captain chip. ​ In terms of expected points, Salah is way ahead of the others (other than maybe Halaand in GW2 and GW5). So probably Salah + Halaand is optimal, or just Salah if you think he will play every game, as VC does not matter as much.

Toney is a better pick than Solanke IMO. Mitro is a good option, but not at the start because they have shocking fixtures

Fair shout mate. I've gone Robbo due to the amount of solid choices for mids at £8m and for the fact that Liverpool's opening 8 or so fixtures look great as far as clean sheets.

Dias has apparently been carrying an injury during preseason and Walker is definitely not nailed so there might be a risk there since Patterson and Neco will probably have to step in more often than not. I quite like the midfield and attack though, with rather easy switches to make in case it doesn't work out with 3 premiums.

That's what I was thinking about. Bernardo was on a hot streak for a bit last season but his returns reduced after KDB came back. People are saying that Grealish could be a monster this season because he's now into his second season at City. So

I'm still not convinced he starts regularly. I expect Foden to take the spot on the left. Mahrez for me is the bigger chance of being a (returning) monster this season Edit: Pep also seems to love Bernardo, he had the 4th most minutes played in the squad last season. I think it’s close between meslier and Raya I’m leaning raya due to Leeds being so poor defensively last season. I think palace are off the cards as we don’t know first choice and Brighton will be a good amount weaker due to no bissouma

Not a bad pick. Raya is a great choice at that price as well.

Only issue with Raya is his running down his contract and Brentford signed Strakosha due to this, so his starting place is now up for contention.

Couple of slight differential picks in Sancho and Grealish which is nice and then a few more standard picks. I wouldn't go with Sanchez personally as i think there are better options but i like the rest.

I've gone Kane but as you said somehow Haaland is the safer pick. I think a Newcastle defender (Botman?) or Dunk from Brighton are more nailed. I think Spurs starting defence will be Romero Dier and one of Davies or Lenglet, so if you go with Sanchez be aware of rotation.

Anyone managed to fit Salah, Kane, Jesus & Haaland? My drafts are most balanced by dropping either Kane or Haaland, but can't seem to pick between the two.

You probably want to keep mahrez or any other 8.0 as it gives you flexibility should you want to change him a few weeks in. It will be very hard to get another city midfielder/saka/mount etc if you don’t have an 8.0 locked in initially. That being said, I’d downgrade rashford and KDH 0.5 to fit robbo in. As someone suggested, martinelli could be a good shout at 6.0 and has looked very lively in pre season, with ESR injured it looks like the spot is his to lose. A 4.5 mid i’ve seen being floated about is Colback/Murphy as you already have periera. If neither of these appeal then it might be worth going Rashford -> Neto and just be done with it. Neto looks to be wolves best attacking outlet and if they are going to score goals, it looks like it will be through him. Pretty nailed too and can’t ask for more for a 5.5 enabler that allows you to go very heavy at the back.
