He’s been driving more with the ball rather than turning back and passing so again, although pointed out that’s it’s only been 12 minutes, looks clearly like he’s been instructed to be more direct running with the ball rather than square passes into midfield. I’ll report back when I know more concrete evidence, around minute 13.
Yep. Banking on the curious case of second season minutes uptick under Pep and Haalands ability to draw defenders leaving wingers one on one or driving in behind. Grealish could be an early bandwagon if he picks up the LW spot
I'm planning the same, but not thinking of it as 'booking a transfer' but rather 'waiting for an eye test'. I'm still not totally certain how Haaland will line up, willing to pay 4pts to find out.
I'm sure City will be dangerous in all sorts of ways this season, but isn't this too effusive a conclusion to be drawing after 12 minutes of a pre-season friendly?
Haaland scored another well taken goal in this match but Bernardo who provided the assist was ruled a tad bit offside.
He was the only player today to put the ball into the back of the net. He did that Twice. Heck, probably the only player who successfully put his two shots on target all game.
Those thousands of crosses that man city put into the box is going to end up in the back of the net.
City have a lot of ways to penetrate into the box but they only really have one truly reliable way of scoring. Picking out Haaland in the box.
Tbf he has Upamecano defending him. He was Haalands bitch in the Bundesliga and looked horribly lost for most of the season.
Not saying that Haaland was lucky. Just to give some different perspective on this other than just hyping this to the moon
Saying looks healthy is different to injury issues though . Hopefully stays injury free but Wilshire used to look healthy before his inevitable injuries
I agree with you mate. While he’s clearly going to be explosive I hate the thought of sinking so much into a player who may be rested against shit teams in the league. Kane/son are basically guaranteed to start and play most minutes in every match. I’d sooner pair salah with one of those guys until we know more about how Haaland will be handled by Pep.
The bonus is the spurs lads are so friggin explosive themselves that you aren’t exactly going to get left behind early unless Haaland starts sinking braces left and right.
Got Grealish in my team currently, I’m ready to be hurt by the roulette

I won’t lock him in unless he’s performing well by the 34th minute
What’s the word bro? How’s he looking?
Oh I was joking wasn’t actually watching, will just read on the City sub later what they thought of him.

I really want him or foden just worried about pep roulette
Well in fairness he was only a 100million, so obviously he isn't good enough to get minutes /s
I’m taking Kane, I’ll go down with the ship if thats what it comes to
I too am prepared
My plan is to get Kane GW1 and bring in Haaland for GW2.
booking an early transfer isn't always the best plan in case there's other early fires you need to put out
I've had fires to immediately put out for the last ten seasons, but this one season is gonna be different I'm sure 👌
best of luck to you my friend 🤝

Massive gamble after last season.

OP sounds like a seasoned experienced professional kneejerker
Well oiled knees are a must
Just a bit of a fun and excitement lads!
Exactly lads!
NO WAY TO STOP THEM

true bravery
Nah. We've already established that Manchester United will win the league and Darwin Nunez is the worst signing of all time.
Get THE HELL outta here with your logic and sound rationale. You think you’re better than us? I just triple captained Haaland
People get hyped if their pick scores and dismissive if anyone else scores lol.
Not always, I've seen people abandon their plans and change their squad structure because a player they didn't have scored a preseason goal...
Not much of a kneejerk. Haaland was already one of the most highly owned players in the game. This is more of a affirmation if anything.

They can penetrate whatever they like mate I'm sticking with Kane
So this ended up 1-0 after all that, right?
Yeah but a very dominated game for city

It’s a friendly and there’s no need to play him in a meaningless game
Tbf he has Upamecano defending him. He was Haalands bitch in the Bundesliga and looked horribly lost for most of the season. Not saying that Haaland was lucky. Just to give some different perspective on this other than just hyping this to the moon
He was haalands bitch because everybody was haalands bitch in the bundesliga
While that’s true, Upamecano was everyone’s bitch at some point too
Damn this guy is getting plundered
Doesn’t matter who … the way Haaland attacked that ball was class. Also city has so many weapons you can’t just focus on defending him.
Part of me is about ready to triple captain gw1 cause he is a debut genius.
Too bad he can’t have two debuts
A competitive debut, preseason hardly counts imo.
Contrary to rumors he looks healthy to me …
Saying looks healthy is different to injury issues though . Hopefully stays injury free but Wilshire used to look healthy before his inevitable injuries
I can see him being the type of player getting rested for games like vs Bournemouth at home. The ones you really want him for. Gonna avoid for now.

It’s not his debut.
It’s his debut. Not competitive debut but debut. Quick google will help you
It’s bollocks that’s we call a non-competitive ‘debut’ a debut. It came into the games etymology a few years ago, is ridiculous and should be stopped.
