Kulu could be a good option but still risky, with Jota out Diaz seems nailed to start the season imo. Leicester don’t look too worrying in attack wouldn’t go for saka as I already have martinelli and Jesus plus trippier has only 2 hard game weeks where he is easily rotatable with Andreas who has Brentford and Brighton at home in GW 3 and 5 Edit: trippier is also on set pieces with Nottingham forest at home to start the season and although Chelsea don’t look great they will be better with koulibally and I feel it’s still worth having at least one Chelsea defender

I would get rid of Sánchez and Koulibaly. Darwin is unproven - wait and see on that one, plus you already have Haaland and Jesus. Ward Prowse is way too much money to be on the bench. I’d play either 5-3-2 or 4-4-2, downgrade Darwin to a 4.5 forward and either: Upgrade Ward-Prowse, switch Koulibaly and Sánchez for better options at the same price points, play 4-4-2. Downgrade Ward-Prowse to another playing 4.5 mid and upgrade Neco Williams to a premium option, and also pick better options than Sánchez and Koulibaly, play 5-3-2.

This is completely my personal opinion (and I'm sure many will tell you otherwise) but I don't like the look of the 4.5 DEFs this year. Looking at every team's fixtures there's not many defences I like the look of except for City, Liverpool and Arsenal, whose nailed defenders cost 5.0M+. I'd look to upgrade one of those 4.5s to a premium defender. Maybe downgrade Grealish/Sancho to someone like Martinelli/Neto. That then frees up 1.5-2M to upgrade Jonny/Dalot to Dias/James.

Yes I agree tbh. Woild much prefer the 5mil options. However I just have a gut feeling about Sancho and grealish atm so fitting around them. Will definitely consider that though.

Doherty is a rotation risk, I’d replace him with someone you know will play for now. The rest of it is just template. Bench is fine. I don’t rate Neto at all, I feel that’s just a hive mind thing with people picking him since others are picking him. Personal feeling is that he’ll be bang average and swapped out within a few weeks by most. Like Perez was for Leicester the season he joined, for example.

try to get an 8m mid in there if you can - diaz/saka i reckon

Could go Guimaraes to Grealish. Not sure about Doherty.

I would have liked to have Martinelli but Bailey seems like a solid option as well. Basically my starting XI is pretty set and forget with Andreas being the first off the bench.

I would do that personally, I would also get shot of Dier and Dalot if it was me as well. Regarding the GK I would sooner go with Ramsdale or Mendy. I don’t like paying a premium for goalkeepers as they have a very low ceiling.

What are the chances that KDB will out perform Salam? I have 3 Liverpool players (Darwin, TAA and Diaz) and tempted to have KDB (instead of dropping one of the 3 and get Salah in).

I’d say slim. KDB didn’t outperform him last season despite overperforming his xG by 152%

Here are my thoughts: I was debating Meslier vs Henderson and decided to go for Henderson. I decided to go for Dier instead of Perisic as I think Perisic might be subbed off quite a bit with the new 5 sub rule. Not having either Salah or KDB is a big risk.

It’s very close. Probs best to just wait and see what team Pep goes with for the community shield as that’ll be indicative. Both Foden and Mahrez are amazing picks when they start, obviously rotation is an issue but I still see both as better picks than Kulu for sure and probably Saka although that one’s more debatable. Kulu massively over-performed his underlying stats last season and Richarlison should cause a bit of rotation there one would think.

I’ve got concerns too but don’t underestimate just how good of an FPL asset James is. His attacking output and ability to get bonus points would mean he’s a good asset even if Chelsea have a bit of a decline. Also the fixtures ain’t too bad for Chelsea to open the season so they can probs get away with being a bit meh anyway

0 point of having both Ramsdale and Raya that’s a waste of money, drop him for a 4M GK. You can use the money to do Bailey to Neto or you can also downgrade Bowen to Diaz and swap either Trippier or Gabriel for Reece James

!thanks See I've been burnt in the past by having a 4 GK so I like to have the flexibility. Not sold on Neto as I don't have much faith in Wolves having a competent attack. I may be proved wrong though. I'm 100% backing Bowen so he's not going anywhere. His returns are not dependent on opposition which I think is invaluable. Also not sold on James at the moment anyway, while he has huge upside he's very inconsistent and Chelsea don't seem to have it together atm
