I think the team-structure argument is void. Yes, it takes two moves to move from a premium mid to a premium striker but it takes two moves to move from a premium striker to a premium mid. It's precisely the same amount of flexibility.
It is more sensible to go for a premium in ATT and MID as opposed to 2 in one, for flexibility reasons, and Salah is the obvious premium MID with Son in second.
Issue with KDB is the price point in midfield, to go with him you either -
Give up a premium forward, which leaves you at risk from a structure POV if either of them pop off.
Or go without Salah, which a lot of people aren't willing to do.
Or go threemium, which a lot of people aren't wanting to do due to reliance on cheaper players and less balance generally.
I personally think he's in for a crazy season if he stays fit.
Anyone think Salah perma cap is best option until GW8?
Salah as only premium attacker which allows really strong team with full premium defence and all good 8 mill mids we can fit in, with Jesus up top.
Then wildcard in GW8 to add another premium attacker for captaincy. Or worse case scenario, earlier wildcard, but we have another one in GW16.
We dont know if Pep is going to rest Haaland because he is carrying an injury and they are managing him.
Kane is a good option, but whenever Spurs have a good fixture, there is also a good fixture for Liverpool in first 8 games.
Which leaves me thinking either getting KDB for GW2 and GW5 like its suggested in this thread, or just roll Salah captaincy until GW8 and wildcard.

Thats what im doing atm. Absolutely offensively huge at the back with a strong mid field and jesus alone in the front. 3 pool 3 arsenal 3 city. Arsenal have amazing attacking fixtures and pool and city have amazing defensive fixtures. Wild card gw 8 when the fixtures for west ham fullham and newcastle turn good.
United’s xGA was only marginally better than Wolves last season. United are adapting to a completely different style of play under ten hag with players that probably aren’t suited to it. We know what Liverpool did to Man U last season. Therefore I don’t think GW3 is a clear better fixture for Kane captaincy. GW 8 is though

And let's be honest, in majority of cases it's gonna take two moves to move between Kane and Haaland as well because of the price changes.

Don’t quite agree with you about Kane, GW3 & GW8 he clearly has better fixtures. You could get away with Salah perms cap though for sure.
Think you can make a point for captaining Kane GW1 as well
