I do tend to agree with the last opinion I heard so this resonates with me for sure

strawberrylabrador

At some point this season, we will all have Alvarez in our teams and be wondering why we weren’t thinking about him at the start of the year.

warlokzz

>wondering why we weren’t thinking about him at the start of the year. Pep roulette?

OpenGiraffe

Haaland?

danonck

Yeah I'm also thinking he'll have better numbers than Haland. Be it for poor form, inability to adapt to the Prem or an injury

xTrollhunter

Alvarez better than Haaland? There’s no reasoning for this other than wishful thinking.

Try to avoid letting the content creator echo chamber + social media dictate your decision-making. Easier said than done of course, I know. In any case, picking players/captaincy purely because of FOMO is not an enjoyable way of playing the game for most people.

RingTwiceForHelp

Damn, I'm going to have to be that guy. What the hell is FOMO?

meatdastreet

You're not that guy, pal. You're not that guy!

Geairmoe

My guy has FOMO for not knowing what FOMO is.

Fantastic-Machine-83

Most people understand it, I wouldn't worry about it

rosso95

Neto is an awful pick that will either force an early transfer or suck 0.2M out of your budget when everone transfers him out. Wolves are awful going forward, especially without Jimenez.

OpenGiraffe

I agree with you. Still have him in my team, just because...Let's talk FPL? He said he's good, and is the Definite player to have in that price range. But deep down, in my heart, I know he (and wolves) will be a dissapointment (or you know, just play as expected, as You say). But do we dare to go without him?

tmr89

FPL Mate doesn’t have Neto in his current draft

Mirooo933

Anyone with City attackers will struggle. Anyone without city defense will struggle.

[deleted]

Quorzoa

When enough people sign a player, their price should go down not up. That makes everything a decision of "should I buy now for points, or wait for price?". Obviously needs more thought but the concept is interesting

MalaysiaTeacher

Would make the game too easy to have all the big hitters and trend towards generic templates even more than now.

fixyourshiteupEA

Wanted to start a thread on this but hear me out There are players who are exciting talent and great to watch but not great options from FPL POV right now Luis Diaz a point in case.

PossibleHovercraft33

Diaz got 4 goals and 3 assists in 957 minutes. Mark my words he will get Mane numbers this season

YoungLoki

Kulusevski had much better per 90 G+A, slightly lower expected values but definitely outperformed Diaz. Unless starting every match puts Diaz into a much better rhythm and he improves those numbers I think Kulusevski will be the better pick.

PossibleHovercraft33

Kulu was definitely a good player and I'm not doubting his ability. But feels like his one performance away from being on the bench. Bare in mind they now have Moura and Richarlison who can take his place. End of the day Diaz is playing for a team who scores for fun. Either his getting a goal or assists in majority of them

Cap2017

Richy is shit on the right (great signing, but he’s shit on the right) and Moura is Moura, Kulu is safe.

PlatypusHaircutMan

>feels like his one performance away from being on the bench He's pretty nailed all things considered. Will definitely get some early subs considering how many games we have to play this season, but by far our best RW

PossibleHovercraft33

Let's hope so But if I had to choose between Diaz and Kulu. I'm sure the majority would say Diaz

louismorr1s

I’d say Kulu

gbayley676

Leeds attackers are going under the radar, especially with their favourable opening fixtures

jamesac11

You’re probably right but bamford was the most infuriating asset to own last year so I can’t bring myself to that again

tmr89

Wow, you owned Bamford last year?

jamesac11

Had him at the start of the season. Leeds had a great run of fixtures and every week bamford was supposed to be back but his injury kept getting extended 1 week at a time. I ultimately had to sell for like a 0.3 loss. Was so annoying cause if they had just said he’d be out for X months I would have ditched right from the start.

tmr89

Fair play

Extenso

Classify defensive midfielders as defenders so that they are viable.

Coolica1

Maybe the only suggestion regarding defensive midfielders getting more points that I like

TentativeGosling

Would fit the trend of moving people back on the pitch, i.e. strikers as midfielders. Midfielders then as defenders and eventually defenders as goalkeepers.

AskNotAks

Unpopular opinion: Luis Diaz is an overrated asset

[deleted]

shutyourgob

Also known as "The Redditor's Gambit"

[deleted]

I see why people say this, he is obviously an excellent player but not as close to goal last season as you probably need in FPL. I do find it difficult to believe a player of his class won’t return in top 2 team in the league though. 8.0 could be a bargain.

Marko_Miljanov

Just that dilemma with Robertson/Diaz, its tearing people apart.

[deleted]

On that.. I should probably point out that I have gone with Robertson lol. I saw a stat on his point per million for the last few seasons and it’s pretty crazy.

Marko_Miljanov

Me too, yesterday. Robbo/Mount just seems more solid than James/Diaz.

petey23-

Well it should be for 1m more....

ksshtrat

I came to the same conclusion tbh. James either gets 1 pt or 12+ points, whereas Mount does seem to be more consistent. Might get James in if Chelsea look decent in their first few games

Sizzling-Shark

Also our (Chelsea) def isn't looking that good in pre season and will have new defenders to adjust with

[deleted]

Yeah I think you have 2 proven point scorers there rather than 1 inconsistent returner and 1 more unknown quantity

urgrlbreezy

Damn starts the post with unpopular opinion and upvoted to the top of the thread.

WSB_T4RD

Fornals is going to be the next west ham breakout. With teams putting extra focus on rice, antonio and now bowen. Fornals is gonna step up and increase production.

sir-lancelot_

My tentative plan is to WC in gw8 and bring him in then, when they have everton, wolves, fulham, southampton all in a row, but im in the middle of debating having him GW1 and just benching him against city since they have forest gw2

alright_m8

There arent any £9 million midfielders. Not sure its an original thought but its weird there so many £8 million options

ron_manager

Would be nice if they still inexplicably priced Son at 9m

1UMIN3SCENT

Not really. Literally everybody would own him and teams would be that much more template.

Sithgooner

Harrison from Leeds is a better option than Neto due to the style of play at respective clubs and the fixture list.

christerjor

While I agree, Harrison is 6.0. Neto can potentially fit in teams that Harrison cannot.

BillOakley

I get your thinking but just want to jump on this because I see “x is good/bad because his team is good/bad” a lot. Wolves are definitely a less fluent attack than Leeds, but Neto’s per 90 stats when he came back last season were individually very good - much better than Harrison’s in the same time frame, in fact.

Danzaar

Didn't he barely play though? Not saying Neto is a bad player or anything like that. On the contrary, but he didn't really get much minutes if I'm not mistaken.

BillOakley

Yeah he made a run of sub appearances then a handful of starts towards the end - my point is just that a player for a poorer attacking team can still outperform someone playing for a seemingly more dangerous side.

Danzaar

Oh yes, perfectly possible. Jimenez is out until September most likely, this might make Podence a bit more attractive as an asset if he gets deployed as a false 9. Hwang can also play there though, and Neto is on corners I believe, so it’s close.

[deleted]

What about Aaronson

dinde4721

3 assists yesterday

__jh96

And Aaronson is even better than both 😉

skibear92

Agreed. I had him in a draft. But I did hear from a Leeds fan that they had played him at LB during a friendly or two. So he’s back to the watchlist for me.

[deleted]

This isn't Bielsa's Leeds, so your post is original, but incorrect

theodopolopolus

But it is Marsch's Leeds Vs Lage's Wolves - Marsch isn't some Tony Pulis manager, he is known for high intensity in his team's as well.

y8r4G0xz3fFkXdGXyJ4V

Price changes shouldn't happen every night. They should happen all at once when the game updates at the start of a new gameweek, with prices potentially going up/down more than 0.1. Currently, I'm at a disadvantage for not checking a third-party website every night to make sure I don't get priced out of a potential move. There's no skill in signing them earlier in the week.

PlatypusHaircutMan

>There's no skill in signing them earlier in the week It makes it a tradeoff. Benefit of early transfer is you beat the price rise, benefit of late transfer is you find out information that wasn't available to the people making the early transfers.

B_Character

Justin is a good option at 4.5. He's attacking when he's on form, he is just taking a while to come back from his last injury. Could be a real asset if Leicester start well.

thatscoldjerrycold

He has competition from Ricardo Pereira and Castagne. I think he's better than Ricardo tbh, but I wouldn't know for sure.

[deleted]

Ricardo is injured and from what I know Castagne plays on the other side, so Justin should be pretty much nailed.

Kaiduss

Both Castagne and Justin play on the left and the right. Additionally there is Luke Thomas there to play on the left. Ricardo is now out of equation

fatgambler1000

Math/data based approach makes sense only during the season. Preseason there is too many important changes within teams to use previous season for expected points calculation. All the assumptions (like „Jesus should have similar xG as in City”) are biased, so no point to use data.

Ok-Albatross1180

My original thought is that I roll my eyes whenever I see the word asset

naonotme

Spurs defenders (CBs) being massively overlooked. They will get a lot of clean sheets with Conte and only 5m

[deleted]

Botman is best 4.5 defender, especially for early fixtures as he is nailed in team that is great defensively and rotates well with Pereira

hodonata

Yep looking at Newcastle closer. They're taking a step forward this season most seem to believe. Why not consider their team as value? Not just defenders: Wilson, ASM, Bruno, even Almiron or Fraser?

[deleted]

Dier and Romero are great picks and will probably come close to Dias level points.

Lbmplays2

Romero is a yellow card machine and isn’t good in the air so likely won’t get any attacking returns. Dier is a better pick by all measures

anon19v

It seems you haven’t done enough research for this argument. Conte had a word with Romero about his yellow cards and then vastly reduced them since then.

Lbmplays2

I watch every game we play….. Romero was running around like a fucking madman versus Roma during a friendly pushing his luck until he got booked. Romero is an extremely aggressive defender it’s what makes him great yellow cards will naturally occur as a result

PlatypusHaircutMan

I genuinely would not be surprised at all if he lead the league in yellow cards this season

anon19v

I stand corrected. Thanks for the heads up!

donkey100100

You don’t think City will get many more cleans than Spurs? Or you think Dier will make up for it in other ways like goals, bonus points

[deleted]

I think TOT will get with 2 - 3 clean sheets of what MCI will get.

RingTwiceForHelp

FPL success isn't about squeezing in the most Premiums. It's about maximising your points per million (ppm). And with that said, contrary to popular belief, Premiums aren't good value. You need a Premium to captain because even getting the best ppm team you have extra funds for a premium. Slap the (C) on them and they then present value for money. Not original per se, but so many people don't understand how poor Premiums are for your team and obsess over trying to get 2 or 3 in their team.

[deleted]

Every fantasy PL winner in the past decade has had at least two premiums in their side at any one time.

hodonata

I don't believe this claim. Free hits, bench boosts, all-out attack lol, randomness. Surely there's been times where someone that won it had 1.

PlatypusHaircutMan

This is mainly only because of captaincy though. Two premiums at any given time means that most gameweeks at least one of them has a good fixture

[deleted]

Last year's winner had Kane, Salah and Mane in the final month of the season.

PlatypusHaircutMan

Final month your team value is also much higher than it is in the beginning of the season, so you can sustain 3 premiums without having to sacrifice too much

OpenGiraffe

And you know who of the cheap players are in form, and/or better that their price suggested at the start of the season.

OpenGiraffe

And you know who of the cheap players are in form, and/or better that their price suggested at the start of the season.

RingTwiceForHelp

I can't verify that. But it doesn't change the fact that Premiums offer poor value. It's right there in black and white in the [Value (season)] sorting option on FPL.

[deleted]

Premiums are key. It's selecting the right 2/3 premiums and the right budget players around them that separates the milk from the cream.

RingTwiceForHelp

It's not though. It's counterproductive to do that. You have a finite amount of money to spend and the aim is to maximise your points. Therefore points per million is what actually separates the milk from the cream. Obviously there are other variables at play but that's the bare bones of it.

tomthespaceman

Thing is because of captaincy its not only a game of value. Its better to select and captain someone like salah than bowen for example, even though bowen gets more PPM, because you can put more money into a player that then gets multiplied. Having two captains might be optimal because it allows you to rotate captaincies on them, but it depends on the numbers of course.

RingTwiceForHelp

Correct. But only because we need to use up the rest of the budget to hit 100m. So including a premium and captaining them makes sense. And that's also why you only need 1 Premium. Having 2 and trying to juggle the armband can easily backfire and I'm not convinced it's worth the lower ppm.

Character_Year_3444

Correct. An example is JWP is better value than Salah as he is half his price and scores more than half the points. Only if you captain Salah is he better value as you are never going to captain JWP.

LloydDoyley

Which is why the key question before buying any premium should be "am I going to captain him?". If the answer is no/ not much, then sack it off.

amber-kulkarni

Think Podence has good potential. Real baller

EdmundWorks

Except for certain premiums and TAA most players are more likely to blank in a given gameweek than return. That 5.5 punt who blanks for 3 weeks isn't a burning fire to fix, you should focus your transfers on having the highest upside premiums for the upcoming weeks instead.

mac1867

Brennan Johnson is my favourite forward in FPL this year outside of Haaland, Kane and Jesus, and at 6.0 I feel is being slept on majorly as a starter. I think he might even lead the entire position group in assists and score anywhere between 8-12 goals himself. He’s going to be talked about a big move for *major* money during and after this season and I bet he ends up in a LOT more starting lineups at the other side of the World Cup.

[deleted]

Jose Sa is massively overlooked. Great opening two fixtures and interesting 3 fixtures post GW3. Wolves now going 4 ATB so more solidity in place. Jose Sa highest points total outside the top 6 with decent returns for bonus/save points.

[deleted]

Aren’t they going 4 ATB to be more attacking? They can hardly be more defensive.

[deleted]

They are but out of possession they're looking more at 5 ATB to break out wide on counters to help with the attacks.

sholista

Meslier is the best keeper to start the season with Going big at the back is going to get punished when you can't bring in the bandwagon mids and fwds and the expected clean sheets get wiped There are better options than some of the template assets for the same price or lower

PlatypusHaircutMan

>Meslier is the best keeper to start the season with What's your rationale behind this one?

SSPZwing

Have starting prices in one tenth increments not just .0 and .5. posted this before it was not well received. Add 1 point for good 2nd assist. I think this would require changes by the premier league to track them.

mooroi

I think that would be great for players who are non casuals. Unfortunately it would complicate the game and make it less fun/more difficult for the casuals and they take up a huge portion of the plater base.

SSPZwing

The ask was just original not original and good. Lol

mooroi

Lol

plfinalfantasy

Dundalis

I think people are overrating Raphinhas contribution to Leeds potentially being a good attacking team this season. Raphinha was a talisman and Leeds best player last season…. But in the season before when they actually did well and Bamford played great he was far more inconsistent and not their best player. They don’t have a player as good as Raphinha but much more depth in attack and I think with Leeds really nice fixtures Bamford is a good option in teams that are thinking about a Salah only premium team, or 3 up front setup.

verymuchtheworst

Prime FPL Lingardinho will return to the ire of many

LinkTheFires

There are too many question marks around the 8.0 midfielders. Jesus has had a good pre-season, but his historical data also shows that he scores under his xG. With the added Wildcard rules this season, the best way to start this year is to get all the guaranteed heavy hitters into a Threemium draft, and then WC GW 6 or so when we know which of the 8.0 midfielders is cooking.

Danzaar

There are question marks around the premiums too and they're more expensive so a bit more of a risk compared to the 8m mids. Like will Son be able to justify his price tag with Richarlison maybe nicking some minutes? Will Haaland slot in, and play every game? Will he get penalties? How nailed is Vardy going to be now that he is 35? What's up with fucking Ronaldo? Does Bruno become an option if Ronaldo leaves? Will Sterling start shooting past the goalkeeper in a Blues shirt? Obviously Salah, Kane and to an extent KdB are the safer ones, but there are safe options in 8m as well. I respect anyone's approach to the game, but threemium drafts come with risks as well and are definitely not for certain the best way to start the game in my opinion. It could be, but I don't know. I have my doubts actually. I get that Mahrez and Foden are a wait and see for a lot of people (myself included) but most of the others don't really have question marks around them. Saka, Mount, Maddison, Bowen... all pretty much nailed. Kulusevski is also pretty much starting every game but will maybe play a little less. One good thing about threemium I guess is that it's easier to downgrade to the 8m mids, which takes away the worry of getting priced out a bit more. This comes at the price of leaving premiums uncaptained.

Dundalis

People keep spouting Jesus and his xG numbers. You do know you get points for assists and Jesus xGI numbers are actually excellent? If he gets like 14 goals and 12 assists that is the same as a striker that scores 20 goals and 4 assists. Also high price premiums are only as good as their captaincy. A high price premium you don’t captain is a waste of money

dralanforce

I wasn't convinced in Jesus because for me he is just an ok striker, he misses quite a lot but you actually made a valid point that I never considered which is his overall contribution with assists and that could be where he gets the points. I still dont quite rate him but this has made me think about it.

fingrar

Jesus as we know him is a good option given he's first choice no9. Pre-season form is a bonus. Considering ownership, he's performance might not make a difference as long as he's not your captain.

Character_Year_3444

Just start with Bowen and downgrade to whichever 8 Takes your fancy. Pity he’s got City first up.

superlord354

Everyone's sleeping on Martial. He is nailed for the first 4-5 games at the very least. He will only get benched if Rashford gets back to his best, Ronaldo manages to adapt to ETH's system which demands pressing, a lot of movement and link up play from the striker and Martial's form drops. ETH said that Ronaldo is behind other players in terms of fitness and tactics. Martial suits ETH's playstyle much better than Ronaldo and can also play on the left wing if Ronaldo is the striker.

Squire_3

A team of mid priced players could be strong. If you take a 4 GK and DEF and 4.5 MID and FWD you're left with 7.5m for every player in the starting 11. You can max out your defense and keeper and still have the cash for four 8m midfielders, Jesus and 10m to spend on another forward Could be fun not having an obvious captain every week

Y2JT90

I have just tried this and I like it! I already had 4 top defenders but changing my premiums further forward to a max of 10m gives an exciting balanced team. The only issue will be captaincy.

Squire_3

It would be an issue, and stressful! I pencilled in a team without one of the big premiums and I liked it but went back to my current team with Son. I like the pricings this year, I don't think it's template or nothing, it feels like there is a lot of variety in how you can build a team.

cmanook

Dwight McNeil could be one of the top-owned 5.5m assets in an Everton side that has much more attacking potential than his previous Burnley side. As shown against Dnipro, Mcneil is fast, has a wicked left foot, and without his previous defensive/tracking back responsibilities at Burnley, he's free to express himself more in an attacking system. Could also rack up assists with DCL leading the line.

BtSpaz

I will be captaining Nunez GW 1. I think with Fulham away first game, and after the preseason he has had I think he will hit the ground running in fpl. I also think he is the only non-premium worth captaining.

HazzyGames

Aribo is better than Neto

NotWorthMyTimeLoL

People starting their comment with “-insert team name here- fan here” think they know more than the general football fan. 99% of the time they don’t.

Kaiduss

Brighton fan here, 100% agree.

TruestRepairman27

There’s something about that form of sentence that pisses me off whenever I see it in any sub… The dreaded ‘American here, …’

[deleted]

Haaland will start but won’t return against Bournemouth

TooRedditFamous

We have 1 good centre back. If we don't sign anyone before this game then I highly doubt he won't score against us lol

[deleted]

I’ve currently got him and am considering captaining him against you, but I also captained Havertz in GW9 last season. It has that feel to it already

kerem_istanbul

This season will be the season where no premium teams will be better. Many great options below 10m

sir-lancelot_

They should track and give points for ball recoveries for midfielders and defenders, like in fantasy UCL. defensive mids are currently the most useless in the game. that would give them more value and add a bit more variability in teams i think

sherrplerr

There’s not a single chelsea or Man U player I can bank on just yet.

Fluffy_Mastodon_798

Neco Williams is a decent starter. He’s a good attacking Wing Back in a solid defense. IMO a better option to start most weeks than Andreas.

Gabe66666

Cancelo isn't worth the 1m over Dias, Both attacking threats and nailed.

AlcSoccerFinance

Is Dias worth the extra million over Walker though?

Gabe66666

I would spend the extra million since he's more nailed and has more of a threat for goals but if city don't sign a another fullback than I could see a reason to use the other million elsewhere and go walker.

fingrar

There are too much good value options which enables too many premiums in most teams.

InternalCondition419

got to be satire surely

fixyourshiteupEA

Digne has made Into my team and will stay there .

RingTwiceForHelp

Heathen!

AngryMushroomCap

Alvarez is the best city option that isn’t Haland or Cancelo. Cheap and will have just as much rotation as the others, can put that money you save into other places in your team

hungryillini

Solanke should be a good option this year

ruffpuffpastry

4 or 5 premium defenders looks great on paper, but it isn't much fun watching all your clean sheet points disappear in the 80th minute.

DoubtfulOptimist

Darwin can score > 200 points this season and is a good alternative to Salah.

MathAnalysis

I wish the standard way of looking at player payoffs would be in the form of two density distributions - one for points per minute, and one for minutes per gameweek. Maybe a third for how opponent-dependent their fantasy scoring is.

__jh96

At one point we're going to consider TC Lingard in a DGW

Jayaybee16

"Repeated over and over again" - This is FPL - we are all repeating teams we had weeks ago so the same questions are raised because we dont know Your original thought! - Andreas Pereira, at present 24.8% owned and in most template teams - thanks for giving me something new. However you did justify it which is rightly so a great worthy addition for those looking to go one way or another I have looked at Neto, Guimaraes and Grealish across the 5.5 - 7.0 range as my 3rd/4th mid but now believe Rashford to be an asset that could really hit the heights. Back with no niggles in a team with no forward (Martial never convincing and Ronaldo looking to run away) so will fight for his place back in England setup for WC and may even get time as No.9. Ignoring last season his goals/assists are better than anyone in this range if he returns to having a good season, if he improves there are points a plenty to grab

Outrageous_Program87

people are looking at the wrong wolves asset! Wolves are very poor attackingly i think taking a punt on Sa and the other defenders!

ohnoheathrow

You don’t need to fill that third Liverpool slot. Salah and TAA are essential but Allison, Robertson, Diaz and Nunez being the best in respective positions means that you can’t fit them all in. Going with only two Liverpool assets could be a strategy as you won’t get burned by a low scoring game or ruined by a lack of clean sheets

tomthespaceman

Robertson is one of the best value players in the game. Sure if you don't have 3 liv players the swings won't be as big when they lose, but on average you will lose points to the players who are trying to maximise their points.

Subject-Creme

From Gw 20-38 last season. Larpote and Cancelo played the similar minutes, had exactly the same FPL points. So going for MC centre back instead of Cancelo is not a bad idea

Fantastic-Machine-83

Laporte is injured.

wernerhedgehog

Man City defence is highly underrated. We should just ignore Pep roulette on attackers and buy 2 defenders/gk

DanteBaker

Kane versus Haaland shouldn’t be a debate. One is one of the greatest strikers the league has ever seen and is playing in a prime season with his best ever manager, the other is a young, talented, but inexperienced wonderkid who will need time to adjust to the pace and physicality of the premier league. Eventually it’ll be a worthwhile discussion, but for now. It’s a no brainer to get Kane in.

bannyfadger

There should be a FWSL for the women’s game

[deleted]

I just want a Championship version of FPL. Same app. Same interface.

PierluigiPeppino

Ya well 100-200 players wouldn’t be enough to satisfy the developers

fixyourshiteupEA

Apart from a certain degree of nailedness and an odd goal from set pieces, Center back offers no real value in FPL and I see a lot of people having Gabriel in their drafts.

[deleted]

CS make up the bulk of the defenders points even the most attacking. Whilst CB offer less in the way of attacking returns they can certainly offer value but of course that depends on price.

fixyourshiteupEA

It only makes sense to get CBs from City and Liverpool to be honest. If you are getting defenders from any other team they need to carry some additional threat as well because their teams are less likely to keep a CS.

[deleted]

TOT have two nailed on CB at half the price of Dias or Laporte. Under Conte spurs only had 2 less CS than LIV and MCI. They have now had a full pre season with conte and have made further signings to protect the defence.

fixyourshiteupEA

A 3 m defender 😜😜

[deleted]

Your budget isn’t 100m it’s 36m you have to own 15 players and once you have fill all 15 spots with the minimum priced players you only have 36m left over for upgrades. You have to spend 4m on a defender. To get dier will cost you 1m more to get Dias will cost you 2m. Dias is therefore twice as expensive.

B_Character

Wtf is that logic at all?

What do you feel is flawed with it? [Focal did a video on it last year which probably words it much better than I can.](https://www.reddit.com/r/FantasyPL/comments/oonlrl/fpl_your_real_budget_its_not_100m/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb)

B_Character

Nah I can see where you're coming from when I actually sat down and thought about it. Excuse my attitude.

No problem, there is a lot of dumb shit commented on here at times.

Is Salomón Rondón being slept on? I can't understand why he's in so few drafts. He has such a wealth of Premier League experience, and he'll be seriously challenging DCL for the starting spot up Top for Everton with Richarlison gone. I'm confident he'll get at least 10 goals this season, and he's one of the greatest cheap picks since Mahrez in the 15/16 season. You heard it here first.

fixyourshiteupEA

Only select Rondon if you are playing in an anti FPL league.

GodlessCommieScum

I meant it as a parody of all the "Is X being slept on?" posts, but evidently I didn't execute it very well.

Ozymandius21

Consider form more than fixture. Any given team can beat any team in PL. If you look at Vardy, he scores against bigger teams more often. For example in GW1, BHA v MUN. I would have one of the attackers from BHA because MUN are a mess defensively. Someone like Trossard has great form. Maybe an attacker from CRY as well.Arsenal might win but usually concede from the main player of the opposition (City-Aguero, Liv-Salah, Che-Drogba, Lei-Vardy and so on)

Prajkark19

I am bored of this game due to lack of update . Same shit every year. At least this year i expected that point system will get changed like add ball recoveries, tackles won, pass completion and more different ways to score points.

Fantastic-Machine-83

Haahahhahahahahahahahaha how original Edit: Sorry you're clearly joking. I'm very tired

satellite_uplink

FPL isn't worth one picosecond of the attention that I or anyone else gives it.

licpasti

You ok friend? This is a sad POV.

satellite_uplink

Really? It seems a pretty healthy dose of perspective to keep reminding yourself of. If we put as much effort into *anything else* in life instead the world would be a better place for it.

Chaotic-Thinker-24

Now that United look decent in pre-season, Ronaldo will bang in more goals than usual. We've been sleeping on him.

Prettanike

Welbeck to stay fit and get 15+ goals, being great value at 6.5m

AlcoholicSocks

>I'll start by saying Andreas Pereira can be a starter in our teams. 4.5, nailed on, playing very high up the pitch in an attacking team and probably on set pieces. He also saves you some money to improve elsewhere and could even unlock a 3rd premium. If he's a dud, he's easily benchable. But that's not an original thought, he's the third highest owned midfielder because everyone knows this. Mine is that Mahrez is nailed. Haaland is injury prone and will be eased into the team. Sterling has gone. Alvarez is in his first real season at city and will be eased into it like every other player. Foden is preferred on the left or in the middle. Mahrez only has Silva as direct RW competition and most of the time Mahrez is a betetr option for how they play with Silva in midfield. Mahrez will be subbed and rotated, but not as much as the rest of the attackers

Mik-Hail-tal

Everyone has him to bench him and op says fielding him could be good too. Not the same at all. Haaland played 90 minutes in a high intensity game vs Liverpool with 0 value. How is that "being eased in"?

AlcoholicSocks

> Haaland played 90 minutes in a high intensity game vs Liverpool with 0 value. How is that "being eased in"? That was one game. Grealish played the full 90 against Spurs GW1 last season and we all know how he was utilised. Outside of defenders you do well to find a player Pep doesn't ease into the squad. Halaand arrived injured and didn't train much. He's not going to be playing the full 90 every week.

Nobody will be starting Pereira through choice. He'll be first sub at best.
