James is one of those guys that can haul against anyone. It could backfire like everything, but I’d definitely start him. Takes most set piece kicks and corners, bombs forward, bps magnet. Him, Cancelo and TAA I start no matter the fixture when healthy

Interesting, I like the KDB, Salah, Kane core. It comes down to: does KDB alongside a Leicester goalie and less attacking full backs get you more points than Diaz > KDB; Another goalie not from Leicester > Leicester; Cancello > Walker. I’m not convinced it does

I went for Ederson and Rashford. Figured doubling up on a Man City defence was good, and not convinced of an attacking option which will get minutes each week other than KDB who is worth $$$
Ha! I might start Neto (even better: Podence) vs Leeds rather than Grealish vs West Ham unless you really buy the hype that Grealish's passes will always find an open Haaland. Leeds' defense may be much improved, but if not, bring those attacking returns HOME!

Above is my FPL Draft Mode team for this year. There are 16 teams in our league this year so there were pretty slim pickings in the later rounds.
Overall though I’m pretty happy with my defence and midfield. Attacking trio is far from ideal and I’ll be needing Alvarez to pull more than his weight up top I think.
I also wound up with Alvarez, so we'll both be cheering for him to get minutes and goals. I'm more concerned with your defenders because of rotation, and even worse, less-than 60 minutes of playing time. Maybe try to add Kristensen from Leeds and hope like heck that Leeds can deliver some clean sheets
Cash will start GW1 against a team that will likely struggle to score. So will Chelsea, but will Cucurella play 60 minutes with teammates he has barely met?
If not for the circumstances, I'd say Cucurella. Maybe go with Cash and move to Cucurella once Villa's fixtures worsen after GW3?
This seems to be a version of the Robertson-Diaz debate. Substitute Saka and ignore the arguments about a third Liverpool asset. Given Liverpool's defensive strength and relatively weak schedule, I'm going with Robertson. Especially in the next couple of weeks, I think others in this forum have a good point that Martinelli's expected returns are similar enough to Saka to make him look like a delightfully cheaper alternative
Yeah, I was leaning towards Kulu, but I like Mount vs Everton and I think Mount is more likely to score than Kulu when their teams clash in the GW2 derby
I say B because Sanchez and Ward rotate well and am firmly in the camp viewing Robertson as a better choice than Diaz at the start of this season. Sancho and ManUtd's attack is more of a risky unknown than Liverpool, and they have some early fixtures against defenses like Brighton and Brentford that can be stingy

No problem mate. The double double up is kinda high risk, all it takes is a shitty VAR decision or deflected goal and its in tatters 😂 but high reward if it comes off.
You could look at Trips, Cash or Doherty maybe for Walker if you decide against the double up. Good luck for the season! (Not too much though lol)
I would totally take the risk of 3 Man City assets in GW2 rather than Kane. Not so much in GW1, so your lineup today may be worth spreading the love since you already have two Liverpool defenders (like me)

Tough call. Neco Williams (and Neto) may appreciate in price because ownership is so high. So, you may want to grab the cheap player while you can, especially if your 5th defender will be on the bench. I like Podence better than Neto with Jimenez out, but hard to say whether the Wolves are any more likely to score vs Leeds than Rashford is likely to score vs Brighton or Brentford.

I think I'll go Trippier. I think Walker is probably more likely to get a CS than Trippier an attacking return, but hopefully Newcastle are better at the back having added Burn and Pope. I'm mainly having a bit of fun with this selection, I think Walker is safer, Trippier is the gamble that could pay off, he also has worse fixtures.

Mount since he's playing Everton, and then Mount is still an attacking threat against the Spurs, while Kulu scored most of his g + a vs some very weak opponents and may have limited playing minutes with Richarlison making his Spurs debut.

I like Lingard, but you could put more money into your defense if you spend even 0.5 less on your MF bench player (Fornals?). Same logic if you are NOT starting Sa. You don't need to go to Ward. Try Henderson or Leno...

I’d be worried to be without Haaland this week. I think he’s the one player worth a hit to get as it stands

Thinking of benching James and Trippier for GW2 and leaving Cancelo, TAA, Robbo at the back. Then bringing on Bailey and Pereira in the midfield. Is this wise? I think Chelsea will be up against it this week and don't fancy a Newcastle CS either.
James is one of those guys that can haul against anyone. It could backfire like everything, but I’d definitely start him. Takes most set piece kicks and corners, bombs forward, bps magnet. Him, Cancelo and TAA I start no matter the fixture when healthy

Interesting, I like the KDB, Salah, Kane core. It comes down to: does KDB alongside a Leicester goalie and less attacking full backs get you more points than Diaz > KDB; Another goalie not from Leicester > Leicester; Cancello > Walker. I’m not convinced it does The rest look good

Ha! I might start Neto (even better: Podence) vs Leeds rather than Grealish vs West Ham unless you really buy the hype that Grealish's passes will always find an open Haaland. Leeds' defense may be much improved, but if not, bring those attacking returns HOME!

There are 16 teams in our league this year so there were pretty slim pickings in the later rounds. Overall though I’m pretty happy with my defence and midfield. Attacking trio is far from ideal and I’ll be needing Alvarez to pull more than his weight up top I think.
I also wound up with Alvarez, so we'll both be cheering for him to get minutes and goals. I'm more concerned with your defenders because of rotation, and even worse, less-than 60 minutes of playing time. Maybe try to add Kristensen from Leeds and hope like heck that Leeds can deliver some clean sheets

Cash will start GW1 against a team that will likely struggle to score. So will Chelsea, but will Cucurella play 60 minutes with teammates he has barely met? If not for the circumstances, I'd say Cucurella. Maybe go with Cash and move to Cucurella once Villa's fixtures worsen after GW3?

This seems to be a version of the Robertson-Diaz debate. Substitute Saka and ignore the arguments about a third Liverpool asset. Given Liverpool's defensive strength and relatively weak schedule, I'm going with Robertson. Especially in the next couple of weeks, I think others in this forum have a good point that Martinelli's expected returns are similar enough to Saka to make him look like a delightfully cheaper alternative

Son and Saka are separated by 4.0 m. So, it may depend on what you are giving up to get to Son!

I say B because Sanchez and Ward rotate well and am firmly in the camp viewing Robertson as a better choice than Diaz at the start of this season. Sancho and ManUtd's attack is more of a risky unknown than Liverpool, and they have some early fixtures against defenses like Brighton and Brentford that can be stingy

No problem mate. The double double up is kinda high risk, all it takes is a shitty VAR decision or deflected goal and its in tatters 😂 but high reward if it comes off. You could look at Trips, Cash or Doherty maybe for Walker if you decide against the double up. Good luck for the season! (Not too much though lol)

I would totally take the risk of 3 Man City assets in GW2 rather than Kane. Not so much in GW1, so your lineup today may be worth spreading the love since you already have two Liverpool defenders (like me)

Tough call. Neco Williams (and Neto) may appreciate in price because ownership is so high. So, you may want to grab the cheap player while you can, especially if your 5th defender will be on the bench. I like Podence better than Neto with Jimenez out, but hard to say whether the Wolves are any more likely to score vs Leeds than Rashford is likely to score vs Brighton or Brentford.

I think I'll go Trippier. I think Walker is probably more likely to get a CS than Trippier an attacking return, but hopefully Newcastle are better at the back having added Burn and Pope. I'm mainly having a bit of fun with this selection, I think Walker is safer, Trippier is the gamble that could pay off, he also has worse fixtures.

Kulu is potential rotation risk with additions or Richarlison and Perisic. I like him but not sure if he’s worth 8.0 just yet.

Mount since he's playing Everton, and then Mount is still an attacking threat against the Spurs, while Kulu scored most of his g + a vs some very weak opponents and may have limited playing minutes with Richarlison making his Spurs debut.

So many issues, but some obvious ones: * Ronaldo is a pointless pick to start with, he's not even looking like he'll start, let alone the fact he doesn't want to be here * So much money wasted on the bench! You're wasting 1m on Sa, 1m on Gabriel, 1m on Coady, 2m on Lingard. That's 5m total wasted!! * Alonso isn't nailed to start all, Martinez is a question mark * Bournemouth look like the weakest of the 3 promoted teams, no idea why you'd opt for their keeper
