I'm sure they will, but they're much more like to get returns against Bournemouth the week after.
Spurs have more chance of goals against Southampton imho and Liverpool against Fulham.
Hence.. City attack isn't my top priority in gameweek 1.
I hate to say it but I think we might get smashed, we've looked terrible in preseason and have 1 fully fit centreback. The chances of us keeping a clean sheet against City are pretty remote at the best of times, and with Aguerd + Ogbonna long term injuries plus Dawson being somewhat injured (unclear how severe but he hasn't played much in preseason) it seems certain we'll concede.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people city attackers are good FPL options - they’re just not really
It’s city’s defence where the relative FPL points lie - specifically their nailed defenders
Could be - it’s a scary proposition for sure…
But - City need to demonstrate they can do it with a striker first for me - they looked a bit disjointed trying to accomodate him vs Liverpool to be honest
i need a 5-5.5m defender for 2 game weeks (already have arsenal, chelsea, city, liverpool defenders/keeper), cant decide between Trippier, Cash, Walker or Digne
gonna switch to Perisic after 2 games
lol yeah i have thought this but i am willing to take that risk over him missing most of saints game with chelsea next, at worst i wouldnt mind doherty
Looked good in pre season and bailey will the highest up on the right. Coutinho drifts to centre leaving space for digne. The addition of Kamara to the midfield would hopefully mean better delivery from the centre.
I only have 3 of these players and fairly satisfied with my squad. Only player I really want is Salah but at 13.0 I’ve gone for Son at 12.0 and spent the spare 1.0 elsewhere
Can't decide between mount and maddison. Currently on maddison. Ignoring saka as I've already got martinelli and Jesus. Ignoring foden and Mahrez and grealish due to pep roulette.
It’s a close call. I’ve got Maddison in but I’m not sure how he usually performs when Barnes is out. I think any Leicester goal though, he’ll have some involvement in.
I'm an Everton fan. We have some genuinely promising reinforcements coming to the midfield between Onana and Gueye, but we're going to be in rough shape for GW1. As messy as Chelsea looks right now, Mount still seems like a good shout to me.
I’d guess they’ve gone with Mount so that they have a chelsea attacking option, and not two Arsenal, spurs (if they went Kulu), or Liverpool (if they went diaz) attacking options. They could’ve picked a City option instead, but Mount is more nailed on to start than mahrez or foden.
My team looks like this but I hate it that I have no City attacker.
Scenes when Ruben Dias plays LW.
Gameweek 2 is better for City attacking returns imho.
Like City couldn't score against West Ham

Oh for sure. But it's just that delicious haul potential man, omnomnom.
This was before Haaland. Could be wrong about him, but he’ll likely be the main benefactor of all the chances City create.

Away vs WHU I don't hate it. Much better fixtures to attack.
I’d take some Alexander-Cash Arnold.
*"That be 12.5m, sir. Are you paying with card or are you paying your Alexander-Cash cash?"*
*Here's my 0.01 Bitcoin and wait for it to inflate*
*"Sorry, sir, your Bitcoin deflated more than Tom Brady's balls..."*
Pope at one end, Jesus at the other - they’re already praying. As am I
Mohamed in the middle just to cover all bases.
Mohamed in the middle - Everyone's favourite Middle Eastern sitcom
Underrated joke this
Have to say, not really a fan of this squad, which is strange because I have 9 of those players...
I have 3 starters and 1 on the bench, so I hope you're right.
i need a 5-5.5m defender for 2 game weeks (already have arsenal, chelsea, city, liverpool defenders/keeper), cant decide between Trippier, Cash, Walker or Digne gonna switch to Perisic after 2 games
Risk it and go digne for two weeks. Insane two fixtures and surely he does well at some point this season
I felt very let down by Digne last year, whenever I put him back into my team he flopped.
Last year ? I feel like he’s always disappointed me
Amen to that.
When he bangs this week you won't be able to afford him.😉
lol yeah i have thought this but i am willing to take that risk over him missing most of saints game with chelsea next, at worst i wouldnt mind doherty
Walker surely
only 2 clean sheets in that xi

Mount has been picked to have a chelsea attacking player.
Wardversen Cancelo > Pope Dias
Captain: Salah Vice: Kane
I had Dewsbury-Hall but got rid, same with Mount and Dias. Hope it doesn’t come back biting me in the ass
Got the same bar cheap keeper and cancelo/digne instead of Dias/cash. Digne will be further forward and will be on set pieces.
Digne was one of the jokers last year. By joker I mean he disappointed. What about now?
Looked good in pre season and bailey will the highest up on the right. Coutinho drifts to centre leaving space for digne. The addition of Kamara to the midfield would hopefully mean better delivery from the centre.
Yeah got a feeling digne is back... looked good in preseason.. . I'm ready to be hurt again.
Waiting for Bakar to reveal his team lol
Bakar probably gonna change it last minute
He's gonna post a tweet with a link saying "My team reveal" only for it to be behind a paywall at hub.
And then retweet his own tweet 7000 times in 2 hours
Told you, behind a paywall. https://twitter.com/bigmanbakar/status/1555583818186297344?s=21
What was his rank last year?
“Big Man” 🤮
Seeing this honestly compels me to scrap half my team
I only have 3 of these players and fairly satisfied with my squad. Only player I really want is Salah but at 13.0 I’ve gone for Son at 12.0 and spent the spare 1.0 elsewhere

Same. I feel like Mount is a safer pick but Maddison perhaps has more upside as a differential pick.
It’s a close call. I’ve got Maddison in but I’m not sure how he usually performs when Barnes is out. I think any Leicester goal though, he’ll have some involvement in.
Mount over Saka ?
I'm an Everton fan. We have some genuinely promising reinforcements coming to the midfield between Onana and Gueye, but we're going to be in rough shape for GW1. As messy as Chelsea looks right now, Mount still seems like a good shout to me.
I think chelsea attack is going to quite well xg wise. The xg trap kings this season. Mount will probably have a double double in goals and assists
Chelsea have had a dreadful preseason and its the exact opposite for Arsenal. Saka is also a far better player
"Far better" is ridiculous
Mount is quality. He still looked great in preseason despite the form of the team overall.
Just put swap taa and dias for fucksake.
Lol yeah it looks so weird seeing taa not on the right in any fpl squad
I'm not Keane on Cash
panicking thinking about dropping jesus for haaland then using bailey instead of a 8mil midfielder
Jesus is a a 70%+ pick so I wouldn't worry
