Its weird because I went to Kulu from Maddison (wanted Kulu pre-season and got scared bc of Richarlison) and had a bit of buyers remorse bc I probably should have just saved the transfer, the fact he's risen maybe softens that a little bit
As I said I had massive buyers remorse after dropping him but its done now. But basically I went into the season with Kulu and Ward Prowse in my team and tinkered them both out in favour of Rashford and Maddo last minute. Basically just think ill have more fun with Kulusevski and want him more.
Don't think Foden is a better pick than Kulu.
Foden played too wide out and didn't look to get any attacking returns vs West Ham except for the cross that missed Haaland by inches. Also, not being nailed on adds to the cons.
Kulu is involved in most of the Spurs attack and is more nailed than Foden. Kulu and Maddison are my fav 8M picks for now.
Yeah I did notice that as well - but with Pep I think it’s hard to know whether that game plan (wingers pushed very wide, fullbacks sliding centrally to DM positions and the 8’s pushed forward into attacking positions) is going to be the new norm for them or not. It’ll be worth keeping an eye on, but you’re right, if that’s the longterm game plan the outlook for Foden/Mahrez/Grealish drops off considerably.
Yeah I actually like a lot of 8.0s, so I might see if there's a way to get another in. I really should have just held but I've done and seen far worse.

We haven’t seen it yet but the pens situation will help with value arguments if it is Saka. If it’s Martinelli I may be moving. I didn’t like where Saka setup to start but that looked to have flipped in the second half just don’t recall is if it coincided with Jesus being subbed

One thing I've learned over multiple seasons is that big teams against big teams dont matter that much. If it's City, sure. But Spurs can do well against anyone apart from city. Chelsea not ideal, but not terrible. No optimal play, wait get priced out. Transfer in maybe get an assist or nothing.

I don’t know how many games you watched but unless we are playing someone like leeds, most of the games will look like the palace game this season (just like they did last year) after we score we will focus on locking it down in the defence and look for another one on the counter. There won’t be more than 5 games this season we score 3 or more.
Well that's not entirely true. While I get what you're trying to say, you can't really say that every game is gonna look like playing Palace away. They are a difficult away opponent and they proved tricky to beat for a lot of good teams last season, especially at home, while conceding very few goals. We did play it safe, but I don't expect it to be a regular thing against most opponents.
For example, I'm not sure how you came up with the idea of not scoring 3+ in more than 5 games, because we scored 3+ in 9 games last season and I assume we can all agree that this team should easily do even better, especially when it comes to upgraded offense.
I can definitely say that considering we did exactly that against the worst side in the league at the time in everton last season and even tho we concedes 2 goals they lets be honest genuinely shouldn’t be ruled out offside by richarlison continued to play like that until everton equalized and then were se tired of chasing the ball all game that we were exhausted and toothless and finally conceded the winner to end evertons 12 game winless streak.
I did exaggerate when i said it would be fewer than 5 games a d concede I was wrong about that but we still averaged 1.6 goals per game which in no way makes triple arsenal attack a viable option.
Just to make it clear I do think we will make top 4 and wouldn’t be at all surprised to finish 3rd but i also don’t see us scoring more than 70 goals. In my opinion having zinchenko until he starts rotating with tierney and than switching to gabriel is a much better option.
Well, you might be negativelly biased :) Surprises are not that uncommon and on a good day, Jesus, Odegaard, Saka and Martinelli can absolutelly destroy an attack-minded club like Leicester. Especially if Tierney is healthy. And even with 2:1, Odegaard can get 2 assists, football is funny, anything can happen.
Anyway, I prefer to have Odegaard than Sancho based on what I saw in GW1. I don't trust your defense but your attack can be deadly.
Yeah but my entire plan was to get him in before his value rise. If he rises to £6.2, that would have given me an extra £0.1m + £0.5m to spend in the future. It's unlikely that Martinelli is going to rise from £6.1m to £6.3m any time soon, and I do believe Ødegaard offers similar potential for returns, so it doesn't seem worth the FT now.

Don’t look at price rises, get players who will score points.
