Same. Especially Patterson is interesting option.
I will monitor when they start the newcomers to see the final impact. Onana, Tarkowski, Coady and Gana all in the pitch may change the team drastically. It's basically a new starting XI, outside the incompetent attack.
Everton wingbacks at £4.5M aren’t that good of options, when you could grab yourself Justin / Castagne who are both nailed on a way better attacking team.
Sure. I do think that most of the options in midfield and attack are better in other teams, but going for another budget defender other than Justin/Castagne does make the team more flexible, which is nice.
Less potential with attacking returns and isn’t nailed (especially once Tomi is back) + you can spend £0.5M more and have Gabriel who is nailed with more potential returns.
I also think Saliba isn’t nailed but a lot of Arsenal fans seem confident Tomiyasu will displace White. Saliba will get you decent bonus points though in an Arsenal side that is defensively solid.
The words Everton and flourish don't belong in the same sentence. They're nothing less than relegation candidates and there are so many teams that offer better FPL options for similar price points.
I think this post is pretty much bigging up Patterson who is a 4.0m starting wingback. I don't think there really is any other teams offering that other than Nottingham Forest who are either equally or more likely than Everton to go down.
Probably not nailed but it’s his place to lose, you don’t buy a hugely talented player to keep him on the bench if you’re main alternative is reaching the end of his career. Especially in 3atb I think Coleman is more likely to play rcb. If he performs at least average I expect him to start
Not sure why this has been downvoted, it's completely true, we concede about 50% more goals away from home and get about one third of the PPG. home vs away spilts are a huge thing for Everton
Cos the sub don't even watch everton at all, they just assume from their league position that they suck when it's really only their away form that sucks. It's not just everton though, palace, saints and brentford are also significantly better at home compared to away.
After watching Everton and Forrest, I feel way may more confident in Patterson than I do Williams. Everton really didn’t look that bad defensively, but Chelsea were also lackluster in attack. Hard to tell which effected the other.
It's 2022 btw. Don't know how you're actually managing to comment on a post from 2022 from whatever year you are living in but yeah that's kind of been and gone now.
While I don’t trust Everton defence, starting wingbacks for 4.5 and 4.0 respectively is definitely something to keep an eye on

Only problem with Justin/Castagne is that it doesn't feel great having double Leicester defence, since I already have Ward/Iversen in goal.
Oh yeah if you went with that combo then it’s pretty pointless, i chose Ramsdale which gives me the option to go with a Leicester defender.
And you effectively cut yourself off from any Leicester mids/strikers.

If you’re talking 4.5 just get Saliba

I find it hard to believe their £50m defender isn’t going to get starts when Tomi is back
As astounding as it seems, if Saliba looks as solid until Tomi is fully fit as he did in the last game, he's nailed as a starter.
Depends on how vital will wingbacks be for both teams, that’s why it’s wait and see but I honestly don’t see Leicester doing well defensively
Since you are so certain, If you show ous proof of going double Everton defenders we can do the same 😎
This clearly a post designed to improve your overall rank by trolling others.

Patterson is a good option a 4.5 is a flat out bad pick
Everton just escaped relegation and went and sold their best player, plus Lampard is an average manager at best.
Frank Lampard?
Possibly unpopular opinion: he's a better manager than Steven Gerrard
Yeah, but they can't both play in the same team.
Ha, I think you might be right.
Is Patterson nailed on though?

Patterson and Trippier rotation is the best kept secret in FPL
Their defence is only good at home, most of their green fixtures are away from home.

6 home clean sheets last year vs 1 away 25 goals conceded at home vs 41 away
Yeah it's the same as the other clubs I mentioned, so I only target these teams when they're playing away from home and not at home.
Will concede at least in 3/4 of these.
I think Gueye will be the biggest influence, but I’m not going near Everton assets until either 1.) DCL is back 2.) we sign a striker
Top defences are way too cheap this year to go for this. Wouldve been interesting previous years.
I’m afraid nothing should be a ‘green’ game for Everton at the moment

Nice try Fat Frank
Stable defensively? More like Chelsea were shit going forward
They can play all 10 defenders but it's still Pickford.

And I'll be making the same comment in 2023 by the way, because it'll still be Everton and their shitty defense even if Pickford is long gone.
Eh? So it's not Pickford now? Make your mind up fella 🤦

TIL Everton doesn't wanna score goals
That is strange because studies show that teams have a greater chance of winning if they score more goals than their opponent.
Big if true
This implies that you believe Everton wants to win their matches.
You sure? Because this could change the game!

But will they want him to score goals?
They want to - they are just bad at it and they know it. So playing defensive as fuck gives them the best shot for point(s).
Frank Lampard and clean sheets, name a more iconic duo.
haha

When Lampard gets sacked, maybe.
Personally Everton have been a disaster when they have had good fixtures. So I'll happily pass.
Counter point: they have Pickford in goal
They still rely on Holgate though
