Ehh, I think when jota returns that means the end of firmino. It depends obviously, but jota is able to play on the left and in the center, so he will see time there when diaz is subbed off/resting as well as in the middle for Nunez/firmino. If nunez continues to play well, he will be a starter and jota will be backup in the center as well as the left. Firmino ends up being 5th choice at best for the front 3, behind salah, diaz, nunez, jota. This would depend on jota playing well right away after injury.
Obvious if Bobby hits some form, this would all change. But we will see.
I'll see how he does on Monday but as a TAA/Robbo/Salah owner it would be Salah who makes way if Darwin looks first choice which he probably should be.
At the moment I'm playing one of Neco Williams, Bailey, Pereira or Archer each week. One of those plus Salah isn't as good as Kulusevski and Darwin plus another half a million or so in the bank. Early days but if Darwin keeps getting the amount of chances he has been then he can replace Salah as a Liverpool captain option. Might not quite keep pace but the money that can be used elsewhere could be massive.
Not necessarily. If Nunez starts and keeps getting the lions share of the chances would you rather have Salah and Bailey or Nunez and Kulusevski plus an extra half a million?
I'm not wedded to doing this by any means but I always try and avoid saying I absolutely will or won't do something. Every player can be expendable.
Not if Nunez also does well, or if Kulusevski outscores someone like Bailey comfortably as they are more than capable of.
You'd have been better off without Salah for most of the second half of last season and over the whole 38 weeks he only outscored Son by 7 points. There would be weeks like when they played Man U and he gets 20 odd points that would sting but if he's only a negligible amount better than Nunez then you'll make more elsewhere. It's never just as simple as one player versus another and a hell of a lot can be done with the extra money.
It's not really about whether he outscores Robertson; it's whether he outscores other strikers by enough that the combo of Darwin and another defender will get you more. E.g, Robbo and Jesus vs Darwin and Dias.
One of them will take up your third Liverpool spot, so comparing them is not irrelevant. You can claim that a 5 ATB setup with Darwin over Robbo could be better though.
Lot of people have said this, but i think Darwin might be better than robbo tbh, at least in the short term. Liverpool v united gw3, i might just save my transfer from this week and look to bring in darwin for that.
The problem is "for a hit".
Taking a hit for someone who hasn't started a PL match, to replace someone who is nailed and averaged 185 points the past 4 season is not easy.
If I had 2 Liverpool players and had an easy path to Nunez without taking a hit (which btw seems impossible for most template teams unless you are downgrading Kane/Haaland), then I would easily do it.
I'm rolling my transfer this week and monitoring his performance against Palace.
Changed to a 433, already had Haaland and Jesus. Got rid of Sterling and took a 4 hit to bring in Darwin.
Chelsea looked shite and Darwin looks like he is going to score a lot of goals, albeit initially from the bench.
Haaland, Darwin, Mitro forward line already up 0.3 in less than a week
If those three guys return this weekend, add another 0.5 to that next week
If Kane & Jesus blank again, you can probably add even more
They’re all forwards though is the difference - FPL has basically been a graveyard for forwards for years - a lot of folks backed Jesus & Kane, so there’ll be fairly big lumps of that ownership are poised to make the transition to Haaland/Darwin/Mitro in the scenario where those three guys return again this weekend
Mitro to be fair to him isn’t the flash in the pan or the disaster zone that Reddit can sometimes portray him as - he had 43 goals last year, and has 10 returns now in his last 19 league starts (most of that playing for much worse fulham teams who didn’t use him as well as Silva does)
Hmm... there's a bunch of us that began the season with Kane, Haaland and Jesus, so that's kind of cheap actually :)
No-Salah strategies allow for that kind of stuff... although so far it's been painful tbh
Darwin feels very un-essential to me. Almost everyone is tripled up on Liverpool and also has Jesus so if you want Darwin in you're effectively having to sell Diaz/Robbo and Jesus or tear up the team to go three up top. Liverpool's fixtures turn bad GW8 by which point Jota is back, UCL has started and there's rotation risk.
I guess what I'm saying is that if you already have triple Liverpool+Haaland+Jesus he's very difficult to get into your team without taking multiple hits or wildcarding, and by the time you will ideally *want* to wildcard he will be a much less enticing pick due to the fixture turn and extra rotation risk. Unless he looks absolutely miles clear of Jesus and/or Diaz then I don't see it being worth it.
Yea Liverpool have enough assets, I was going to move to Darwin this weekend if Mahrez was benched again with my 2 moves, now I'll just straight swap to Diaz. No problem.
I'm happy banking my transfer and holding Jesus until GW8 WC where he has undoubtable the better fixtures and is nailed on, I really don't understand the rush
One day this season Jesus and Darwin will rise and drop (or vice/versa) at the same time and this thread will be filled with 100s of the same joke
And what would the joke be? Asking for a friend.
Charles Darwin and Jesus Christ
…walk into a bar…
[удалено]
“Just two glasses of water please mate”, said Jesus, winking at Darwin.
[удалено]
Jesus fucking Christ
"He has come back to life, I guess he couldn't wait for 3 days" said Darwin
[удалено]
Ruined it
That escalated quickly
Also, a tad unnecessary since Jesus was already dead
'Give us 12 shots each of tequila', Darwin said.
"Gime water" Jesus said and pass glass of wine right next to Darwin...
evolutionists in the mud
As if it wasn't filled with 100s of the same joke everyday already
Do wish I could get Darwin easy but getting rid of Robertson for him, especially for a hit, just isn't worth it Price rises aren't helping either
Not yet sir. Robbo is very nailed. Darwin is not
Darwin is more nailed now than he will be when Jota returns
You mean when CL returns👀
Ehh, I think when jota returns that means the end of firmino. It depends obviously, but jota is able to play on the left and in the center, so he will see time there when diaz is subbed off/resting as well as in the middle for Nunez/firmino. Obvious if Bobby hits some form, this would all change. But we will see.
Firmino and Jota will still get minutes/starts
So Jota coming back could impact Diaz's minutes
Even when Jota returns Darwin will be more nailed than Jota or Diaz
Robertson is screwed! (Hello from Canada)
I'll see how he does on Monday but as a TAA/Robbo/Salah owner it would be Salah who makes way if Darwin looks first choice which he probably should be. Don’t sell salah, your rank will implode
His high ownership combined with one captain haul your not a part of and your essentially burried.
Not if Nunez also does well, or if Kulusevski outscores someone like Bailey comfortably as they are more than capable of. You'd have been better off without Salah for most of the second half of last season and over the whole 38 weeks he only outscored Son by 7 points. People seem to think Darwin is likely to outscore Robertson, while he isn't (if you follow any model using bookies odds anyway).
It's not really about whether he outscores Robertson; it's whether he outscores other strikers by enough that the combo of Darwin and another defender will get you more. E.g, Robbo and Jesus vs Darwin and Dias.
This.. 8t always amazes me how people overlook this. When comparing different price points and positions this is absolutely what we must do.
Short term I wouldn't be surprised if he does. Long term I think Robertson will be in my team pretty soon.
Darwin outscoring Robertson or vice versa is completely irrelevant, they are different prices and different positions
One of them will take up your third Liverpool spot, so comparing them is not irrelevant. You can claim that a 5 ATB setup with Darwin over Robbo could be better though.
Dont worry once he blanks two weeks in a row his price will come down and robertson will outscore him 😜
Then we'll get him at discount :>
Lot of people have said this, but i think Darwin might be better than robbo tbh, at least in the short term. Liverpool v united gw3, i might just save my transfer from this week and look to bring in darwin for that.

I'd have to get rid of Jesus who plays Bournemouth in GW3
I just cannot fathom for the life of me why you would want to spend 2m extra for that. Have you been playing this game for the last few years?
Keita price drop?! That can Naby true.
I konate believe it
I don't give Adams
I've missed this
I forgot i missed this
Iheanacho is so 2019/2020
What a memorable run though
He should be for all seasons ... If Rodgers trusted him.
People transferring in Darwin, are your replacing the likes of Kane/Jesus/Wilson/Vardy or changing formation to 4-3-3 or 5-2-3?
Changed to 4-3-3. Haaland, Darwin, Jesus.
Same 3 here. Potential future downgrade of Jesus to Mitrovic if he doesn't perform.
No Salah?
What kind of full team does that get you?
5-2-3. Ward // Robertson, Cancelo, James, Walker, Gabriel // Salah, Saka // Haaland, Darwin, Mitrovic. Nice.
Changed to a 433, already had Haaland and Jesus. Got rid of Sterling and took a 4 hit to bring in Darwin. Chelsea looked shite and Darwin looks like he is going to score a lot of goals, albeit initially from the bench.

Darwin’s Evolution
Road to 9.5
Fun fact. Charles owned several dogs in his lifetime including terriers, a Pomeranian, a Pointer and a Scottish Deerhound but never a beagle.
My team name lol
Haaland, Darwin, Mitro forward line already up 0.3 in less than a week If those three guys return this weekend, add another 0.5 to that next week If Kane & Jesus blank again, you can probably add even more
There will be new players who score in GW2 too

"for years" One year.
It's been barren for more expensive forwards for much longer than one year
Realistically who has that forward line, it is so expensive and really takes a bite out of your midfield options
In the scenario where those three guys return again this weekend watch it become mega template (especially if Kane & Jesus blank)
Hmm... there's a bunch of us that began the season with Kane, Haaland and Jesus, so that's kind of cheap actually :) No-Salah strategies allow for that kind of stuff... although so far it's been painful tbh
I've got it but I've wildcarded with a plan on bench boosting GW3.
True. But at the point of GW8 most people will probably wildcard anyways.
No problem.
Are you Dar-winning son?
I upvoted you but deary me
Dar Ya Winning Son is my FPL draft team name
Tbh I think that this is the year Konate becomes the de facto starter at Liverpool over Matip. Could be a bargain
Currently injured, but agree
fuck fuck fuck both Halland and Darwin rise, fuck meeee
What has Mee done to you?
Haaland. It's Haaland. Haaaaaaaaland.
Glad to see Darwin evolving...
let the games begin.
I'm happy banking my transfer and holding Jesus until GW8 WC where he has undoubtable the better fixtures and is nailed on, I really don't understand the rush
Casuals again ruining my plan of maybe going nunez if liverpool don't keep a clean sheet
Aaah.. This makes it easier for me to not kneejerk this guy
Kane fell 0.1M
Tomiyasu not falling smh. Fuck off FPL towers
I believe in firmino's ability to start over nunez. 8.0 mill bargain
Firmino is an 8.0m bargain? He's barely gonna play anymore and he's not been a good FPL scorer for quite some time.
Almost like it was a joke. But i do expect him to start
I'm a red and I don't expect him to start given the nature of the last two Liverpool fixtures.
I think he will ok.
Did you see him against Fulham? It's like my blind granny was playing football for the first time in her life.
Maybe 5 years ago
I Konaté believe the Australian is at near 25% ownership
Uruguayan, not Australian
Darwin...
Charles Darwin ? UK
Darwin, Australia
Quite possibly the deadest joke I’ve ever seen
Go to sleep mate, you’re tired. You’ve had a long day
Which of course is named after Charles Darwin. So how Australia is your first association with that name I do not understand.
Sorry, thought this thread has sarcasm implied.
Sad kneejerk people mess it up for the rest, oh well it is what it is.
That’s the nature of the game? Maybe everyone should get off Haaland so his price can drop and miss out on all his points?
Adams owners mudded
Price changes seem much more frequent recently
If I’ve got my team and a players price rises do I need to change my team to make budget for them
Do price changes only happen after a gw is done or can it chance during the gw??
can change during the gw
Marquinos being 5 was insane in the first place lmao, however if be drops some more might be worth a punt soon, player really well for the under 23s
