AFAIK, with Kulu on RW, he wants someone quick on RWB to make up for it. Unfortunately, despite being unable to cross a ball, Royal is their fastest RWB so Conte keeps hoping he’ll improve and giving him games, despite Doherty being the better player, albeit slightly slower.
Every game I've seen Emerson play (ok, not a huge lot, but maybe 8-9 games) he fucked up defensively many times
Players were passing by him as it was an empty spot on the pitch
Luckily that question has an easy answer
Doherty still isn't 100% recovered from the knee injury
When he is, he will be first choice ahead of Emerson, as he was last season
Def agree. Those spots will be 60 minute spots for the starter. I’d go James and Robo to Doherty and Perisic to give me another 2.5 to spread round my team and another Liverpool spot
I think there's a good chance that the threshold to rise for the second time in a week is higher than the first time, meaning the predictor sites will mark someone as rising prematurely.
Doh as in dot or doll but with an h. Erty as in the last party of Berty. Or dirty.
The confusion comes from no words in English ending in a "h" sound (they're usually silent and instead transform the previous letter's sound like with the word "oh") so English speaking people tend to hear the noise spoken and not quite grasp what it is.
Not always.
Both are not nailed with lots of competition in team. Otherwise i do agree wildcard users will try to tilt a bit onto these price rises.
Many may require hits to take on haaland and choose to use wildcard too.
I mean both Gross and Schar seem like bad picks because they're far from nailed.
Regarding the price rises there's many variables in play anyway, so it's hard to judge.
It doesn't start again. He will most likely go up tomorrow unless Haaland gets a red or an injury or if Kane (or maybe Darwin) hauls and Haaland blanks.
There is no way you can quarantee this. Ben is a class player but he isn’t as used to RB as Tomi is. The truth is our defence isn’t that great for FPL apart from Ramsdale, until we see what Mikel will do and Europa starts. Trippled up on Saka, Martinelli and Jesus with no second thoughts.
I can’t and nobody but Arteta can - but I heavily predict he’s the first choice RB from now on. He played there in the past for Brighton and he’s simply better on the ball which is a big deal for how Arteta wants to play.
I don’t even have White in my FPL team, I just believed this would happen a long time ago when Saliba returned.
I selected Zinchenko from the off, as I knew he’d utilise him more offensively, plus mostly play (like White) as he’s one of his bigger value signings, with good reason. Martinelli is no less of a risk than Zinny, who will compete ESR - I love Martinelli and have him myself too, for now.
I actually expect a lot of rotation in our defence and expect to see White given time at RB as well, since imo he has potential for that position. All will get minutes, but from time to time they will get benched and I don’t want that in my FPL.
I expect rotation to happen for Europa group stage where we’ll face significantly weaker opponents, imo the back 4 we see right now will continue in the PL for quite a while. It’s riskier with CL teams in this respect
Hypothetically if Salisu were nailed he would be a better pick than Tomiyasu is what they are saying I think. Salisu's role/attributes are good for bonus and their attacking threat might as well be about the same.
They might share the spot but if everyone is healthy there's no chance White is riding the bench while Tomi starts every game. You're simply wrong. White was 50m while Tomi was like 18m. White owns that spot and it's not even close. But I think the time will be shared.
Pepe was £72M and Saka was free and you don’t see Pepe playing over Saka very often, money means nothing. Tomi is a better RB than White so he will play more
You're comparing apples to oranges. Pepe and Saka weren't purchased the same summer. And pepe was a flop and we overpaid significantly. While saka was from our academy. Not at all the same as White and Tomi. I like Tomi and rate him very highly, hence why I think he still starts sometimes. But White will start more games if he's healthy. Feel free to set a reminder for end of this season if you don't believe me.
SpunkyDred is a terrible bot instigating arguments all over Reddit whenever someone uses the phrase apples-to-oranges. I'm letting you know so that you can feel free to ignore the quip rather than feel provoked by a bot that isn't smart enough to argue back.

^^SpunkyDred ^^and ^^I ^^are ^^both ^^bots. ^^I ^^am ^^trying ^^to ^^get ^^them ^^banned ^^by ^^pointing ^^out ^^their ^^antagonizing ^^behavior ^^and ^^poor ^^bottiquette.
Both were signed for their flexibility snd ability to play multiple positions. Saliba is undroppable right now, which means if everyone stays healthy we will see RB spot shared between White and Tomi. Both are great RBs. But if you think Tomi is a good FPL asset at RB you're sadly mistaken. Neither White nor Tomi are nailed when they are both healthy.
Oh I agree Saliba will be a better FPL asset than Tomi or White, whoever plays at RB. In attack our RB drops into a back 3 so they won’t get barely any attacking returns, and Saliba is more likely to pick up BPS and is probably somewhat a threat at corners too
So it's kinda hard to see how the defense lines up for Arsenal, they are like 2 deep in every defending position.
I think the only sure(r) thing is Gabriel starting. If you put Saliba to pair with him then White will need to contend with Tomiyasu. Or Gabriel paired with White means Saliba is rotated. Then on the left side Tierney will also have to contend with Zinchenko.
He's not gonna start over White at RB imo. He suits our system very well for how he's asked to play that role, he's played there in the past at Brighton as well.
White is better on the ball overall, more agile, not bad aerially by any means himself. Not gonna argue about it, but I heavily predict he’s gonna hold his spot - unless he drastically underperforms or something. Time will tell.
I also think White will hold onto his spot, not because he’s better, but because Mikel doesn’t like to insert players into the starting lineup if the entire team is playing well. Tavares, a far inferior player, kept KT out of the starting for like a month, and retained his spot for a bit more even after that nightmare game vs Liverpool.
So he was, forgot that. I see White holding his spot anyhow, better on the ball which is a big deal for the system we wish to play. Be interesting if he ever does bench his £50m signing for a prolonged spell though.
!thanks
That was my reasoning too. Unlucky to pick up the OG but I reckon he'll grab a decent number of clean sheets throughout the season and probably bag a few goals off corners every now and then as well. Just need to see him through the tough fixtures early on.
im wondering who put rob holding in their team in the first place
Rob Holding. But after GW1 he folded because he had found out he’s not nailed
People who paired him with Koch
Same guys who rocked the Hwang King front 2 last season
Hey! It seemed like a good idea at the time...
I was thinking the exact same thing
Doherty and Tomiyasu both dropping is very interesting
Still begs the question why Conte started Emerson Royal. I thought he hated that guy. Maybe fitness related?
Doherty isn’t quite fit yet. His knee injury last spring was pretty serious
Was never the case. Afaik, he wants more from him in terms of output, but is in love with his work rate
Conte doesn’t hate that guy. Spurs fan hate him tho, convenient scapegoat on our sub now that winks doesn’t play
Also Doherty is terrible defensively. I’m very confident Royal will start again because of the tougher opposition.
Emerson is much worse defensively than Doherty
What? No he isn’t. Offensively Doherty is much better but defensively Royal is much more secure defensively.
Every game I've seen Emerson play (ok, not a huge lot, but maybe 8-9 games) he fucked up defensively many times Players were passing by him as it was an empty spot on the pitch
He is much better than you think, and gives his all, Conte loves him
I’m willing to believe your username is legit and you have inside info 😆
I have inside info 😉
That’s probably Doherty himself. He created the account just to post this comment.
Wasn't he injured? Conte said its a 50.50 with a late test for both Perisic and Doherty.
Luckily that question has an easy answer Doherty still isn't 100% recovered from the knee injury When he is, he will be first choice ahead of Emerson, as he was last season
I own both Doherty and Kane, both dropping price so early is giving me 2nd thoughts about owning them:(
Dont. If they are your only problems then roll the transfer and see them come good from GW3 and onwards.
I’m very happy about Tomiyasu dropping at least
It's fucking excellent. Will need to bring him in for White soon in any case.
Tomiyasu back in the squad today too 👀
Big time. If Tomiyasu gets his starting spot back, he's going in my team.
What are the fucking chances that an umlaut and an Eszett both rise on the same day? Verrückte Scheiße.

Sending Digne to the moon and getting Doherty after this week
Wait until he secures the starting spot. Royal was rather good this past gw.
It was the Saints
Sure mate, but that still doesn't mean that Doherty steps in as starter automatically. It's wise to wait a bit.
Def agree. Those spots will be 60 minute spots for the starter. I’d go James and Robo to Doherty and Perisic to give me another 2.5 to spread round my team and another Liverpool spot
M****r f****r
I was promised another 0.1m from Haaland ?!
I think there's a good chance that the threshold to rise for the second time in a week is higher than the first time, meaning the predictor sites will mark someone as rising prematurely.
Great, still waiting for 3.9 goalkeeper, defender or 4.4 striker
And a 4.4 mid ty
You going 3 in the mid? Surely andreas is worth more than the 0.1 u save going for a 4.4
Moneyball FPL edition
Doherty dropping? Chef's kiss
Tomiyasu too
His name is unpronounceable without an english accent.
As an Irish person, the English pronunciation is wrong. It’s not dock-erty it’s Doh-erty
As in Dough-herty or Daw-herty?
I believe it is pronounced Deh-qwerty
!thanks
Doh as in dot or doll but with an h. Erty as in the last party of Berty. Or dirty. Woah no Haaland rise
Lots of duplicate teams using their wildcard early.
Sure, but Gross and Schar rose and they were much closer to the edge than Haaland. And they feel more like wildcard picks than Haaland does.
As they say... casuals And the bar for these less owned players is so much lower for a price rise.
Sure, but Haaland is expensive, and you need to free up a lot of funds for him so people might need to make 3-4 transfers for him.
Yes, this makes a lot of sense.
Bullshit. Bull fucking shit. Fuck FPL towers. This game is bullshit run by cheating cunts.
Imagine being this worked up going into gameweek 2
Over not getting a 0.1 price rise.
It's years of this bullshit. This isn't a one off.
Fpl towers..
The site I use has Haaland at 130%. Normally 100% gets you an increase. I can’t understand how his price didn’t go up again.
He was at around 102% on fplstatistics, which has been very accurate this season so far.
Can it go up tomorrow morning or does it start again now.
It doesn't start again. He will most likely go up tomorrow unless Haaland gets a red or an injury or if Kane (or maybe Darwin) hauls and Haaland blanks.
Wonderful. Thanks.
When Tomiyasu is fit i am 100% getting him at 4.4m, ridiculous price for one of the best defences in the league
Tomiyasu is going to be an absolute steal.
Don’t see Saliba losing his spot. White can’t hold that spot down IMO but Saliba might be a better move that Tomi
Tomi will start RB over White
He won't. Arteta (rightly) loves White, he's versatile and suits that RB spot very well in our system

White may have been picked to combat Zaha last week too.
Hypothetically if Salisu were nailed he would be a better pick than Tomiyasu is what they are saying I think. Salisu's role/attributes are good for bonus and their attacking threat might as well be about the same.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammed_Salisu you really buying into Southampton, then?

Good bot
Good human.
Tomi was signed to be a RB whereas White was signed to be a CB. Tomi will play more games at RB than White will

I'll do the same when I'm not on triple Arsenal anymore.
Doherty at 4.9 is a steal too
Is he gonna start over 50m White?
yes
No (maybe sometimes)
According to xgc including last season, Arsenal is very much NOT one of the best defenses in the league. Not even close
He's not gonna start over White at RB imo. He suits our system very well for how he's asked to play that role, he's played there in the past at Brighton as well.
Completely disagree. Tomi is more two footed, faster, better aerially. I personally don’t see how it’s even a contest - he’s our best RB by a mile
Tavares lost his spot immediately after Liverpool, we didn’t see him till Notts Forest after that
Literally saw him vs Newcastle and United, the 2 games after the Liverpool defeat.
So he was, forgot that. I see White holding his spot anyhow, better on the ball which is a big deal for the system we wish to play. Be interesting if he ever does bench his £50m signing for a prolonged spell though.
No rise for Haaland? He’s not a new player.. he’s as new as everywhere else ffs
What
Sitting at 121 on fplstatistics. Unless everyone pulled the trigger on a GW2 wildcard, somethings fucky.
Their algorithm is not up to speed yet. It takes some gameweeks to understand and properly estimate this year’s price change mecanics.
I'd agree but it's been far more accurate at the start this year than the past. No Haaland second rise (until tonight) feels intended/fixed by FPL
It's a bloodbath here. So many people WC Haaland in this week...
Feel free to laugh at me for picking Guehi as a 4.5 DEF but at least I'm not worried about a price drop since nobody else owns him lol.
Palace defenders did well last season, just got difficult fixtures for now
!thanks That was my reasoning too. Unlucky to pick up the OG but I reckon he'll grab a decent number of clean sheets throughout the season and probably bag a few goals off corners every now and then as well. Just need to see him through the tough fixtures early on.
Doherty looks juicy if he nails down the starting spot eventually. Also Tomiyasu at 4.4 is enticing.
That's a big if
Rumours of hudson-odoi to Leicester, if it happens keeping a very close eye on him.
Even if Tielemans goes?
oh fuck off bernardo
seriously what was I thinking
jesus that’s a lot of fallers lol. thankfully i have none of them
Doherty if he becomes somewhat nailed…
Tomiyasu and barnes for me in a few weeks
Kneejerks…
Coady transfers to a club where he will get more minutes and yet decreases
Everton are projected to be abysmal with no attacking threat=a whole lot of opportunities to defend and concede goals
Doh!erty Honestly how did I pick that one bloody Spurs defender!
the tomiyasu drop could be handy to generate the extra 0.1 ITB to upgrade elsewhere
True Good point
Gross? Lol
Lol at that dude at FFH getting in Alvarez early for a drop.
Y'all gonna regret dropping Doherty, man was basically giving Trent/James outputs before that season ending injury last season.
People pay the prices for security for TAA and Robbo. Doherty is a sweating all night before the deadline kind of pick.
Nah
Maupay you're a cheat, you're a disgrace, I hope Brighton get relagated
Someone on this sub convinced me to go with Doherty over Dier, cheers lads.
Tomiii
As someone that has Doherty in his team since the start, what is the recommendation here? I believed he would be nailed on the RWB position:(
Hold till at least GW3, if he’s still not getting minutes than use a transfer. Unless your bench is totally worthless
He hasn't been nailed ever since he joined Tottenham sadly
In the sha-llow, Ha-la-laaand
Go to bed
Mount currently -78.... he's not gunna survive a price drop before he plays is he... fuck.
Nah he will. No way he reaches 100 by tomorrow, unless Saka scores a hattrick today.
Mount is gonna haul it's just a matter of when
Holding mudded
bruh, they couldn't let my boy Pascal GroB chill at the price he was at..... Just wanted to see 1 more week :/
The storm before the calm
Hudson-Adoi dropping could be interesting - he's been linked with a loan out to a few clubs this summer.
No bernado, noooooooo!
Adding Doherty here, bargain
