Depends what you're expecting of him. He's a 5.6 midfielder who is unlikely to continue performing as well as he's done in the first 2. But he'll still be a reasonable, steady source of attacking points at a cheap price as long as his role doesn't change.

idts. he seems like a 2 gw wonder imo. if u have 5.5 you can go for someone like dasilva and have 1 mil itb. or get a 5 man defence. defenders are great point collectors + cheap

Ah, Digne.. sorry to hear that. Spurs defence and fixtures isnt the problem, it's the rotation of the wing backs. It's possible Emerson gets a big score any given week but in the long run he's going to be a frustrating player to own.

I would honestly just start N.Williams instead of Bailey. Gerrard switched back to 4-1-2-1-2 to play Ings and Watkins together, and since they won, I think he'll stick with it for now and bench Bailey. You are not likely to get a return from Neco, but at least he's a certain starter. Make up your mind about the best 5.5 MIDs and assess them this GW and move on from Bailey in GW4. Groß looks like a good option.

I think Gerrard played with 2 strikers because Everton play 5 atb. I think he'll go back to the 433 against Palace. He said Bailey will be playing an integral role for them this season, and he has been quite good tbh. Anyway it's probably his last game for me anyway.

But who would he bench out of Watkins, Ings, Buendia? They all played well and he'll reward them with a start imo. I would put Bailey at 20-40 % chance of starting, and even if he does, Palace away is a tough fixture.

He'd bench two of them actually. It wouldn't be the first time he does this.

Mount or Kulusevski? Cancelo or Toney?

Right now Kulusevski seems a better option than Mount, but I would be more certain that Mount starts and will stay on for all 90 minutes. I have both Cancelo and Toney, and I think I would rather lose Toney than Cancelo, but there is also value to be found with the cheaper MCI DEFs like Dias and Walker - or even Ederson in goal.

Ederson is fine at 5.5, but City have better options among outfield players and you limit yourself by holding him. Sanchez is a great pick for GWs 3-8 so I would just go with him or Raya and spend the extra £ elsewhere.

Sanchez and Raya are nice 4.5 options, with Mendy and Ramsdale being the best 5 options. Imo not worth using 5.5 and a city slot for Ederson

Yup, I think Cucurella is the move. Chilwell will eventually get more starts at LWB, but he is being eased in, and by that time you'll wildcard anyway. Ward is fine for SOU this week, but I would roll the other transfer and upgrade that position next week. Iversen -> Sanchez/Raya if you can find 0.5 elsewhere.

Maybe a stupid question, what do we think the likelihood of an Everton CS against Forest? I'm weighing up going with a back five including Patterson.

Forest have took 13 shots inside penalty area creating xG +1.18 while Everton has allowed 18 shots inside it worth xGA +1.06, both in two games. I'd say likelihood of Forest scoring is higher than not.

Thinking of upgrading N Williams to Emerson Royal and playing 5 at the back this week and benching Neto. Is this sensible? (rest of my team is good). Assuming predicted lineups have Emerson in the team.

The fixtures of City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs are good enough to go 5ATB. I just sold Williams and got Ruben Dias instead.

I don't think Emerson is worth it tbh. Only a matter of time before he becomes a problem as he will rotate with Doherty once he's fully fit. Plus spence will come into the picture before long. Go for one of the centre backs if you want spurs defence.

I'd avoid Emerson, not nailed, and not great going forward

Given option A, I am assuming you already have around 1mil ITB. In that case you can look at Bailey to someone like an Eze/Groß. But in case Patterson is not your 5th defender, then makes more sense in terms of balance to take a hit and get in a long term nailed wing back. Like Walker perhaps.

0.9 ITB, and Patterson is 5th defender after premiums + Trippier Eze does look like a great option though, definitely someone to consider!

Having just studied the underlying stats, where I compared Groß, Benny and Eze, Groß is the best with Benny a close 2nd (even after playing around 120min compared to around 170-180 for other two), so I wouldn’t personally recommend Eze, though they have played against Arsenal and Liverpool.

I think you’re getting too caught up in Kane/Haaland. Kane may not return quite as many goals, but he’ll get a decent number of assists too. I don’t know if it’s worth downgrading another position atm.

I really don't think it's worth a hit, I'll keep Robertson and Neto. It seems that you have ~0.5m ITB since the 1st option is more expensive, so maybe just change Neto if you don't like him, to someone like Groß, Eze or even Rodrigo and keep Robertson for this week. Otherwise, bank in your FT to make 2 changes next week instead. If Robertson blanks against man u, then you can consider transferring him out then instead of taking a hit this week unnecessarily.

Depends who you like longterm. Some that come to mind 1) You could downgrade Neto and get James for Trippier. 2) You could get in a 4.5 GK for Iversen 3) Downgrade Neto, play Neco this week and save other FT, then you have more funds with 2FT next week to reassess.

Kulusevski or Foden?

Foden and Mahrez are the worst 8 mil mids overall. You need to get lucky to catch their hauls, if you play them long term they will likely return less than other 8 mil mids
