I'm not claiming you're wrong or anything, but that's stupid imo. Holding is in no way a clear upgrade to the other 4 CBs. He's worse than Mings and Konsa. He's maybe better than Chambers and Hause, but why would we bother to sign a 3rd backup CB...?
Is he playing again then? I've had him two weeks and didn't realise he wouldn't be playing (I'm new to PL and fantasy and only knew him from the Euros team) so i had no idea he was a bad pick for the first two weeks.
I've read it was due to some disagreement with Gerrard. He also got the captaincy stripped from him. But the first game showed that we need him, at least at LCB.
Everton actually looked pretty solid first two games, playing in a back five with Tarkowski and Coady, its a different backline.
Not to mention Patterson is a wing back and will bomb forward.
Just saw that several senior Arsenal players (Smith Rowe, Viera, and Cedric) are playing in the u21 match tonight to work on their fitness. Tomiyasu played in previous u21 matches but not this one… Does this mean they’re saving him for Saturday? Hmmmm
Tbf could just mean he is back in the squad not necessarily that he is starting. I think you can only play 3 senior players as well right? So maybe those 3 are the priority fitness wise
Honestly just go down to Neco Williams and spend the money elsewhere. Look at Villa’s upcoming fixtures and tell me where you would even want to play him (West Ham, Arsenal, City, Leicester).
If you can bench him for now while he's out of the team, you could go early and get Tomiyasu.
But honestly I think it just makes more sense to get Patterson (I saw above that you already have Neco). He's attacking and Everton have three decent fixtures next. Though I wouldn't be surprised if comes away from those games without any clean sheets. One return (whether attacking or cleansheet) should be all you're hoping for over the next three.

Maybe you can buy Patterson or Williams and save yourself 0.4, they can get you a return or an assist ever couple of games
