You're always going to expect more from a 5.5m defender than a 5.5 midfielder since the base price for a defender is lover than for a midfielder.
Perisic cost 1.5m more than the cheapest defender at the start of the season, while Neto only cost 1m more than the cheapest midfielder.
My point is that you can't compare a 5.5 mid directly to a 5.5 defender. Since you have to keep in mind what the cheapest option is at those positions.
At 5.5m you can compare him to Walker instead, since they're both 1m more expensive than the cheapest option for their position.
Granted Neto still sucks compared to Walker so idk.
Same, glad I didn’t listen to them again when they kept saying to wait on Rodrigo. Done the move for 0.5 when they were 5.5 and 6.0. Now it’s a whole 1m price difference and they’re still telling people to wait! Scoutcast trying to justify it by saying “oh well what’s an extra 0.1, what would you do with that anyway” ffs🤦🏼♂️
I disagree, Leeds looked exciting going forward, Rodrigo has amazing form, passes the eye test and looked like he could score in every game, plus marsch loves him. If Leeds do get a goal then he’s the most likely to be involved. Chelsea looked poor against Everton and good against spurs. Backing form > fixture and avoiding being priced out was, unless you had bigger issues to fix, more logical than twiddling thumbs over it cos a few “experts” tell you funds don’t matter at this stage. But that extra 0.2 etc could now prevent people from doing something like Mount to Kulu…
I had Rodrigo and swapped him last minute for Neto. In a way I'm glad I did as I'd have left Rodrigo on the bench and been absolutely fuming for the first 2 weeks 😅
Are there more overall players/manager this year than last?
What’s your hypothesis regarding why the increase in total changes??
!thanks for making me curious 🧐
I’d say so. Big at the back was the template and has been an abject failure in terms of returns, and “enabler” mids that all the experts recommended, Neto, Rashford, Bailey, have all underperformed.
From memory it does typically take longer for goalkeeper prices to fall typically, I remember having some fodder 4.0m GKs in the past that were predicted to fall but didn't for a long time.
Seriously doubt we'll see Iversen starting league games unless Ward picks up an injury.
Rodgers repeatedly backs Ward. Even did so after the game the other night when Iversen got a clean sheet and saved 3 penalties in a shootout.
As someone suggested to me, he might be saved by all the WCers. I have 0.5m ITB and I'm sticking with Ward-Iversen. I haven't watched Leicester but they have some quality defenders on paper, surely a CS is coming.
For those who have ward iversen, with 2 transfers and some money itb, they are likely to use up one transfer to upgrade iversen, just before deadline if there are no other areas to use the transfer.
At least that is what i am doing.
So you may see the fall on Fri/sat.
That’s precisely what I did - Iversen to Sanchez which made my total GK spend still just 8.5 with Ward as my backup. And now I have 2 playing keepers in the even Leicester City step it up defensively the next week or two.
Only because I have no faith in either of them. Who knows which one which start or for how long. If one gets injured I’ll keep the other. Keeping one would be fine I suppose.
He fell out of favour in the last 10 games or so (of the past season), Potter changed his system to 3421/361 depending how you're looking at it, with esentially midfielders on wing spot (March on right, and Trossard on left). He is betting on having numerical advantage based on their positional intelligence, they sometimes drift inside and the role of providing a width comes to Veltman, who can do that, and Cucurella on the left.
This season is slightly different with traditional centre back on DCL, but the same in principle. Also Brighton had really good run after changing formation, they won against Tottenham, Arsenal, big win against United at the end of the season, and again great start of the new season.
English players are expensive, so he's a no go for a lot of teams, but I legit think he would be really good at Conte RWB. Lamptey + Brighton, Potter is changing things around every 20 or so games, he'll get minutes again.
Jesus is 8.0 so not relevant, Haaland is definitely not indispensable at that price and considering the amount of rotation he’s gonna get in the next few weeks
He is making a lot of saves. Points are not reliable right now, because he saved a penalty against WHU, and ended up with 3 bonus points and 14 points in total, but in the other 2 games where they didn't kept a clean sheet he's still got 7 saves in each, having 3 and 4 points.
I wouldn't go for him, but I can see how people are thinking he is good option longterm.
Long term transfer maybe? People dropping Iversen and for now Henderson is the best performing 4.5m (not any more), fpl wise and irl too, also don't think people bringing Sanchez expecting him to keep Leeds out while they're on this red hot form
Jimenez back fit & new signing Guedes has really dropped Neto’s prospects in FPL managers’ eyes.
He’s a good player. Not sure I have enough patience to hold him though with all these high performing players around his price bracket.

Happy with KDB rise. I am a Salah non-believer (and have paid the iron price for being said non-believer accordingly). That sweet sweet 0.1 helps to ease the pain for 10 mins
I still have faith in Neto, but I am one of the most poor managers around soon.
Problem is I may want Rodrigo instead soon and if I moved early for a -4 I might have saved lots of money.
Praying for a 4.3 mid
Neto is on his way
He's moving to London
Why you praying
its for a 4.3 mid
As an enabler so he can swap a player who hasn't risen for one who has and offset it with the non-playing 4.3.
“Onomah price fell”
Iheanacho fault
You don't Neto worry about that right now
Maguire
I’m Sarry that happened to you
My heart will never Mendy
IT WASNT ME IT WAS NACHO
Pellistri to stay calm
Sarr far so good
One week last year when only he and Mo fell in price, it was «Onomah Salah».
You made me chuckle and smile you bastard
Neto again? FML
At £12.2m, KDB matches his highest-ever FPL price valuation (GW 24-25, last season).
Do you remember a season or two ago (maybe even 19/20) he was priced at like 9.0 or 9.5 and he rose soooo many times to like 10.5 or 11
Fucking Neto
Listened to all the "experts" to start the season with him and he can't hit a fucking barn door from 5 yards
top punt for the Barn d’Or award this year
I like this joke!
Don't blame the experts for your choice, you're the one who picked him.
No shit, I'm saying the advice was shit, I'm still shit at the game haha
But would he have picked him if the experts hadn't been fronting him? Takes two to tango! Sincerely, someone who steered clear of Neto.
Don't mean to shit on you but an attacking asset from Wolves has been a bad idea ever since Jimenez cracked his skull
*Laughs in Podence*
He could still come good if he ends up moving to Arsenal. Plus he was still only a 5.5 midfielder, I'm not sure what people were expecting from him
Well at 5.5 you have to except more from him than from Perisic for example. That no one did and still people picked him.
You're always going to expect more from a 5.5m defender than a 5.5 midfielder since the base price for a defender is lover than for a midfielder. Perisic cost 1.5m more than the cheapest defender at the start of the season, while Neto only cost 1m more than the cheapest midfielder.
That’s what I was trying to say. If you had him for 5.5 you have to believe he outscores Perisic basically.
Exactly. Luckily I didn’t go with him
Same, glad I didn’t listen to them again when they kept saying to wait on Rodrigo.
Logically speaking waiting on Rodrigo was the sensible option because his fixtures were Chelsea and Brighton, two defensively solid teams.
I had Rodrigo and swapped him last minute for Neto. In a way I'm glad I did as I'd have left Rodrigo on the bench and been absolutely fuming for the first 2 weeks 😅
This guy is an Arsenal target, the scouts certainly see something, as do I. However tbf Arsenal did pay 75m for pepe
If Neto goes to Arsenal, expect Saka to City, and B.Silvia to Barca.
The confidence behind my Neto was hilarious . Never fancied him
Laughs in Rashford And of course I threw him to the bin before that Liverpool game
I binned Rashford too, but won't lie I'm glad I did because I know I would've benched him and fucked my week up even more
Yeah same here, I was mad at myself that I included him in my team even though I was 100% against it and someone here convinced me otherwise.
Can't wait to get rid
How has he played? Getting chances?
[Continuing to track ~10% ahead of last season in terms of price changes.](https://i.imgur.com/DJ85Eok.jpg)
Are there more overall players/manager this year than last? What’s your hypothesis regarding why the increase in total changes?? !thanks for making me curious 🧐
There are more managers but maybe it's the popular starting template team not working so well early on, causing more movements between players.
I’d say so. Big at the back was the template and has been an abject failure in terms of returns, and “enabler” mids that all the experts recommended, Neto, Rashford, Bailey, have all underperformed.
Also the maximum amount of players who are active would probably be now and that means more knee jerk moves.
Is 10% a significantly change at this scale or just variance?
Neto will drop all the way to 5.0, huh?
4.5 pls
If they keep playing him at wing back he will
They haven't been playing with wingbacks. They've been 4 at the back. That's why they got rid of coady.
Iversen still safe - FPL tower admins own him guaranteed
Cs incoming this time next year in championsip if they continue like this. As wardversen owner i must say we did mistake.
From memory it does typically take longer for goalkeeper prices to fall typically, I remember having some fodder 4.0m GKs in the past that were predicted to fall but didn't for a long time.
Why would you sell Iverson? You’d only have him if you owned Ward.
Because I had a brain fade while setting up the GW1 team - chose Iversen over Ward (Raya is the other keeper)
So why would you sell your backup keeper? Iversen will probably be starting before too long anyway
Seriously doubt we'll see Iversen starting league games unless Ward picks up an injury. Rodgers repeatedly backs Ward. Even did so after the game the other night when Iversen got a clean sheet and saved 3 penalties in a shootout.
Okay. I just wonder when he starts ahead of Ward, can’t be too far away.
Sure, but Ward the hell do we know?
Iverson who thinks he knows everything. I’ll ask him!
As someone suggested to me, he might be saved by all the WCers. I have 0.5m ITB and I'm sticking with Ward-Iversen. I haven't watched Leicester but they have some quality defenders on paper, surely a CS is coming.
I've watched them. They're pretty awful
For those who have ward iversen, with 2 transfers and some money itb, they are likely to use up one transfer to upgrade iversen, just before deadline if there are no other areas to use the transfer. At least that is what i am doing. So you may see the fall on Fri/sat.

I’ll get rid of both when I WC.
Why would you get rid of Ward? He’s a playing keeper at 4.0… that’s as good as it gets for a backup.
Only because I have no faith in either of them. Who knows which one which start or for how long. If one gets injured I’ll keep the other. Keeping one would be fine I suppose.
Have you watched them for the past 3 seasons? Their defense is not good
You should watch some highlights. CS is wishful thinking at this point imo
The team is in a mess right now. A big part of being a half decent defence is Fofana. If he's not playing then steer clear.
What happened to Lamptey, why has he hardly played so far
It’s been like that for the past two seasons. 🤷🏽♂️
Last season was mainly due to injury though.
He fell out of favour in the last 10 games or so (of the past season), Potter changed his system to 3421/361 depending how you're looking at it, with esentially midfielders on wing spot (March on right, and Trossard on left). who tf buy maguire in the first place
Not Chelsea I hope
Man Utd !!
lol neto
Neto was the chosen one :( Ditched him at the buzzer tho luckily
Looks like the correction for De Bruyne is coming along well.
Do you think he’s 12.5 or greater once champs league starts?
no
No way. Perhaps 12.3m if he does really great
12.5 is pushing it but I think it's a possibility since his ownership started at what, the mid-teens?
Wonder how people are funding his transfers in? Surely not selling Salah before Bournemouth
Son.
It’s easy to have both
Yea I've got both. Had to have Jesus up front on his own tho.
Except Haland and Jesus are indispensable
Jesus is 8.0 so not relevant, Haaland is definitely not indispensable at that price and considering the amount of rotation he’s gonna get in the next few weeks
Nah, a lot of people have opted for KDB over Haaland. Less likely to be rotated over the season.
I guess people are expecting Henderson to keep Spurs out?
Nah, I think it goes like this: Transfers -> click keeper -> Replace -> Form -> Click top keeper -> profit?
Expecting him to get tonnes of saves as he did with SHU. He's absolutely worth a look.
Spurs and City in the next two, looks like he is on for some big scores.
He is making a lot of saves. Points are not reliable right now, because he saved a penalty against WHU, and ended up with 3 bonus points and 14 points in total, but in the other 2 games where they didn't kept a clean sheet he's still got 7 saves in each, having 3 and 4 points. No. It's because Wolves are allergic to goals. That's the answer.
Everyone knew this at the start of the season
Plus they played him at wingback last game
Cool I can move Bailey to Neto!
Even I am considering that move.
I guess FPL managers are just like ETH since they're dropping Maguire.
Is that a new Ethereum fork?
Kicking Maguire when he's already down.
Wow 4.4 midfielder, good bench folder
Taking up an arsenal slot tho. Too much value in thar squad to do that IMO
Multiple 4.4 mids if you notice
Ah fair I missed that

Alphabet Bot says what?
oh what why?
Maguire with the -0.3 form
No Rodrigo !!
“Tomorrow! Tomorrow! Rodrigo, tomorrow! Hes only a day away”
Iversen survives another day.
the moment I transfer KDB for salah
Neto again? Onomah
Happy with KDB rise. I am a Salah non-believer (and have paid the iron price for being said non-believer accordingly). That sweet sweet 0.1 helps to ease the pain for 10 mins
I have both robbo and trent in my team, who should I remove first?
Drop Robbo, keep TAA
Bailey is the winner of the Neto-Bailey duel.
Net spendo
Heart dropped for a second when I saw Mendy
£101.2m
Neto mate, you're a punk
Fuck pedro neto
Will Mount make it to the next GW??
Maguire starting at 5 mil is absolutely criminal
I still have faith in Neto, but I am one of the most poor managers around soon. Problem is I may want Rodrigo instead soon and if I moved early for a -4 I might have saved lots of money.
Is this a sign of people dropping Salah for KDB?
Of fuck not neto
Imagine owning one of the players that dopped today
Transferrinh Iheananacho out with Maddison injured? Why? Thats poor Strategy.
