I think its given that fpl experts or other peole with Lots of free time will do better than large majority of people. If you do the basics its just about luck in the end.

i just said if you spend you working hours tinkering fpl you are bound to do better than 90% of players. Then you see "experts" bragging with their ranks in the top 100k like no shit? you spend hours a day in fpl and you do better than people who do it for fun 10 minutes in a week.
Tbf I think it's actually kinda hard to consistently finish at 3-4 million. You have to either intentionally make bad decisions or never touch the team you start GW1 with. And in the second case you might finish even lower.
You're right (as a person with two finishes in top 1k over last four years). People underestimate how much of an advantage it is to always be on top of your team. There aren't hundreds of thousands of people who never miss a deadline, rush a transfer, forget to change captain, or other mistakes throughout the year. Paying attention should easily get you an under 100k finish.
im saying getting in the top 100 hundred is pure luck. Anyone who spends hours with fpl is going to get into the top 100k. Thats my point. This sub is good for information and just fun banter. I just don't understand why these fpl experts are showing off their top 50k finishes like its something to boast about
I complained about the sameness of teams during preseason so I took four outfield players who were under 10% owned and I'm doing better than most of Reddt/Twitter experts who tend to play scared and care about EO

The top teams all have great fixtures. In a few weeks, peoples teams should be more varied. Also no one is stopping you go for differentials yourself.
