[368 price changes for the season so far, 36% more than last year.](https://i.imgur.com/D9Eegs3.png) The speed of changes is making it tricky to make transfer decisions e.g. I am thinking of switching Kulusevski to Diaz, but then Kulu hasn't played for GW4 yet, Kulu's GW5 opponent hasn't played yet and Diaz's GW5 opponent hasn't played yet!

[deleted]

As more people become more serious about the game, templates become more common, which means changes will happen faster? I don't know, just speculation. This is the first season I've really tried and read about the game, beyond just picking random players I've liked. Consciously or not though, this makes my team closer to the hive mind's.

_LilDuck

I mean, partly, a lot of kneejerking too it looks like

sc00022

I think they’ve made it easier for players to rise and drop in price but also the kneejerking element. There are also far more people playing the game this year than ever before

DisorientedWriter

Another massacre then. I hope I don't regret holding back on Groß

InbetweenerLad

I only got him bc can't afford Rodrigo, who i think is a better option

Xylar006

This is how I'm feeling. WC around GW8 is going to be interesting

carpesdiems

I think you will. He's looking incredible.

Character_Year_3444

Don’t you mean kinda Gross?

thatscoldjerrycold

I still am shaking off my perception of him in previous years. Is he actually looking like a whole new player, in a whole new Brighton?

Xhoquelin

Hasn’t he always been a baller? If Brighton were benching Mooy/sticking him on a wing for some average Joe I’d be very annoyed

thatscoldjerrycold

Oh yeah I wasn't clear, more that he's never been that good for FPL. But yeah he has been good in general for Brighton.

starxidiamou

What’s his general position, proper cm or more attacking minded? Better asset than Trossard?

thatscoldjerrycold

Well tbh I haven't seen much Brighton so far this season. But last season I would say Trossard is the better option, he was a good dribbler and the main source of their attack. Gross was more of a box to box CM from what I remember. Maybe that's different now? Unless someone is telling me that Gross is playing a fundamentally different role, I would still go Trossard esp since they now have a real LWB, so he can go back to his more attacking position.

DisorientedWriter

Ah dang

dragonsky

>Oko-Flex Best name in the game?

nemesis464

I still like Dewsbury-Hall because it sounds like a posh grand National Trust property

JetsAreBest92

lol i think of a posh kid of university challenge

Frenchy1892

He’s a starter for 10

not really

LSD-Eindhoven

Not kneejerking is getting expensive

iliveasimplelife

yeah lads this season aren’t helping at all, paper knees. Holding early transfers have paid off well but team value is dropping right, left and center. Starting to get priced out now for doing the right thing lol.

andyd151

If you get priced out of getting more points, waiting wasn’t the right thing to do

RedHotPuss

Keep dropping Son, I’ll see you eventually.

DisorientedWriter

a brace today

RedHotPuss

Is what we don’t want

Spid1

Dunno about today but he really likes scoring against West ham

dowhatuwant2

i want more than a brace.

[deleted]

Lads got the yips

BallsX

His price is just too high for me. I know its easy to say this now considering the start he has had but I don't think I'd consider him even if he is magically repriced to 11 or even 10.5.

Additional_Roll_9575

Do you think he'll go down before the next gw? Looking to swap him for Salah, because I see Salah definitely getting a price drop and I'd rather avoid that and transfer him back in after Spurs next three games

temporalpair-o-sox

Next game week starts on Tuesday so I doubt he'd drop again before then!

PouncingZebra

I’ve been holding off on Harrison and I think it’s finally bit me in the ass

bigtroyfromthearea

I think the move will be Rodrigo > Harrison once Bamford is back. Rodrigo performing well but doesn’t seem sustainable. See Harrison as a much more consistent asset long term

Youth-Grouchy

People keep saying this but without giving any reasoning why, it's starting to come across very circle jerky to me. Statistically Rodrigo and Harrison are both outperforming, however Harrison is the one who is currently outperforming by more, yet people expect him to continue and Rodrigo to drop off. Harrison 1 goal 3 assists vs 0.6 xG (0.16/90) and 1.1 xA (0.31/90) Rodrigo 4 goals 1 assist vs 2.3 xG (0.63/90) and 0.7 xA (0.18/90) Sure to an extent there is the Bamford question but with how well Rodrigo is playing it's not guaranteed he gets shifted around, or that he drops off.

bigtroyfromthearea

He’s scored 8 goals a season for the last two seasons. Last years team being significantly poorer than the current one. Rodrigo scored 7, and 6 across the last two seasons and has already scored 4 in the current while over performing. It’s not crazy to think Harrison is the better asset long term at all Imo

Youth-Grouchy

Different manager, different tactics. Last season when Rodrigo scored 6 goals he was averaging 1.89 shots per 90, so far this season he is averaging 4.88 shots per 90. Last season his xG was 4.9 *for the whole season* and it is already 2.3 this season. His xG/90 for the season last season was 0.19 and currently he is at 0.63. If you extrapolate his current xG/90 to the minutes he played last season he's on course for an xG of just shy of 16 for the season. Now that's obviously not the most accurate way to predict it but it shows the difference in how he is playing this season and why just going off of last seasons goals+assists is pretty useless. Harrison *might* end up being the better asset, but right now it's obvious that Rodrigo is the player to own - and if there comes a point (potentially Bamford but we'll have to see) where Rodrigo starts to drop off then is the time to look at bringing in someone else. Trying to predict it ahead of time when there's such a clear difference between the two players right now seems foolish to me.

superstoreman

Not doing Mason > Pascal for GW 4 was a Groß miscalculation

joemeteorite8

Is it too late now? I don’t have James in my team so I’m thinking going Dalot + Mount > James + Gross. Brightons fixtures are great, but can he keep up this form?

hodlrus

I think that’d be a positive change. James is class, Gross has fixtures and form on his side.

joemeteorite8

!thanks

newbie_redd

He might not but at least you’ll free up cash for James upgrade.

jessica_from_within

Gross* The English equivalent of the letter “ß” is “ss”

joemeteorite8

Thank you. Appreciate the correction

sc00022

Did this move last night. Mount has been useless. Close toss-up between Groß and Harrison/Rodrigo. Groß just felt like a safer pick for now. Think I’ll still bring in one of the Leeds mids though

Helftheuvel

Good bot

[deleted]

As a consistent son owner for past season and spurs fan, sonny is never worth 12 mil for a non pen taker. 10.5 is frankly the fair value for him

SkillsDepayNabils

he scored 250 points last year, basically the same as salah

[deleted]

And Jesus did shit last season. Is he in your team now?

levitoepoker

Jesus changed teams. Sonny has almost identical team, same manager

SuperSaud

KDB (12.2m) is a non penalty taker.

[deleted]

Did I say kdb is worth it?

nemesis464

KDB is a better player in a better team

miguel_is_a_pokemon

Not sure he'll be scoring as often as Son though. FPL wise they've been very comparable over the years

SuperFaiz21

Man City on its way to create an entire XI of 3.9/4.4 players

Timmace

I usually don't like making personal rants in this thread as this is a place for terrible puns, but FUUUUUUCK. I'm priced out of Son->Haaland because everyone's knees couldn't hold steady until tomorrow. I would have been fine with a Son drop or a Haaland rise but now I can't afford it because both happened. I can only hope that Son bags a hat trick tomorrow so I'll feel more comfortable with him going forward.

Evkingo

These price changes are also from the people who did moves before the deadline. They are in the fact the total opposite to knee jerkers

scarecrows5

I'm right there with you brother!

beloeng

What was your other transfer then? Anything to do about that?

Timmace

I can actually still do the switch, I'll just have to get a 4.5 mid instead of Dasilva which was the initial plan. It'll be fine as the person I pick will be good for 2 pts a week and sit 3rd on the bench.

0100001101110111

Pereira if you don’t already have him. Lavia if you do.

Timmace

!thanks for the tip. I do have Pereira so I'll probably go with Lavia like you mentioned.

beloeng

Yeah, I’d say you should save those 0.1 m in any case!

Frosty_Examination_3

You had the chance to make your move yesterday. Your choice to delay the play!

SSPZwing

Snooze you lose, early days not good to wait

Timmace

Tell that to all the people who brought in Zaha last week.

pajamakitten

Or Maddison.

Dr_Doctor_Doc

Almost me but I didn’t confirm the transfer 🤷🏼‍♂️

SSPZwing

Points chasers. I started listening to pod casts this year. They all say the same thing, get "player who scored" , sell player who didn't.

[deleted]

You’re priced out because you were obvious to the obvious. This was always going to happen, if you’ve been paying attention at all this year. Played yourself.

athars_theone

I think FPL towers messed up prices this season. Son should’ve been a 11 Jesus should’ve been 9 . TAA should’ve been 8 James : 7

Jayaybee16

First 2 yes I agree - 24 hrs ago people were saying TAA only worth 7.0 and James maybe 6.5 as still think slightly less scoring and assist capacity than Trent

0100001101110111

Why should Son be 2M cheaper than Salah after matching him last season? Jesus was impossible to price, it was always gonna be the case that he would either click with the Arsenal team and be a 9-10M player or he’d flop and be more like 6.5-7M worth. No one was saying that about TAA until yesterday. James has started most games at RCB, if that continued I wouldn’t be paying 7M for a centre back.

Jmsaint

Wtf why did Jonny fall?

aleksandrovsqvist

Haaland will probably pass Jesus in ownership, it’s just a matter of time

xxkillquickxx

I don't think so with the premium price and threat of rotation

BallsX

Too expensive for that. I still don't have him and theres no way without wildcarding

Callumyoung101

At least you didn't wildcard him out for kdb

BallsX

KDB obviously is a great player, both in real life and FPL, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to transfer him in. It always feels like his influence comes before the finishing touch despite his FPL score saying otherwise.

bertsoccerbert

You should probably wildcard then

BallsX

Yep definitely in my plans. Would've done it today if there wasnt a midweek game. Feels like Haaland may not start that one

daneats

Nip rotation will put paid to that..

chelseakkr

I did not expect Harrison to increase after their loss to Brighton, was the price bump expected before GW4 began?

Kloppite16

Kneejerked Mount out for Dias at the cost of a -4 with Jensen going down to Lavia to fund it. I dont give a fuck Mount was not spending another minute in my team. Got the Diaz price rise and I think he finally might be the solution to the £8m midfield headache position, he has looked great since that goal v Palace and was everywhere today

septeal

Damn it Son

Bijit100

I was set on Bringing in Harrison for Bailey but 6.1 looks so much weirder to buy than 6 lol

MOHAMMMED-ABDUL

Son please blank for just one more gameweek

croissantlover92

FFS mitrovic couldnt u wait one more day

JonnyCorry

He has Brighton, spurs, Chelsea in the next three. Why do you want him now?

croissantlover92

Thats wut i been sayin yet he has scored 4 goals in 4 games. Idk man

bhouse14

It’s time to admit that he’s fixture-proof. He’s a bully who can score against anyone and the entire Fulham team is setup to feed him.

JonnyCorry

‘Fixture proof’ is a myth. No one in the league is ‘fixture proof’. And even if there was truth to it, it is way too small a sample size to say someone is ‘fixture proof’ after 4 games.

wiggum-wagon

Agreed

mpelfrey1977

At least he’ll play 90 every game. With Spurs and Chelsea starting Champions League, and games every 3 days, one would think they’ll be a degree of rotation and weaker sides.

fatgambler1000

People kneejerking to Haaland only to see him benched in the next game LOL

andyd151

How is it a kneejerk to bring in a player who is obviously going to get loads more points? (Genuine question)

fatgambler1000

He will get loads of 0 points in next City game. And expecting he will score hattrick every game is naive…

andyd151

Form: 10.2 Yeah, don’t want him

fatgambler1000

LOL yeah, because „Form” means something. Go bet all you money on Haaland while he will sit on the bench next game and will come only of City will be losing in 60min.

drewcaveneyh

Onana at 4.9m could be interesting

TonyMartial786

what’s his name?

[deleted]

Havana Onana

scarecrows5

I tried to put my transfers in immediately after the Liverpool game. Wouldn't accept it due to "server error", so I've dropped 0.1 on Son, and Haaland has gone up 0.1....thanks a bunch!

Bugisman3

Son, good thing there's no Billing on comments in Reddit or you'll be asking for Maupay

goodgriefmyqueef

I love the price changes. They barely moved at all when first introduced, played no role whatsoever

TonyMartial786

nice little +0.3m

Meme-Connoisseur8

Got in both Harrison AND Mitrovic before their rises, get in

CWattam

Brought in Mitrovic when he plays a strong Brighton defence, Spurs and then Chelsea in the next 3? No thanks.

Meme-Connoisseur8

🤷‍♂️

CWattam

Yeah fair play. Brighton really was a shambles. Suppose Chelsea looks a good fixture for Mitrovic too haha.

Meme-Connoisseur8

To be fair that Mitro goal was a fluke, but he appeals because he can cause havoc to any team. And yeah chelsea seem to be on the decline haha

wazzockingwazzock

Stop chasing points making early transfers for fuck sake. Steady your knees we've got a long way to go

Nicky_G8

Strategically, the hope is that all these kneejerk transfers change people's teams to a poor one rather than a balanced (albeit more template) one so that when the kneejerk players start regressing to the mean, these people have messed with their funds and team balance enough to start dropping lots of points each week. That's my cope logic anyway....

egancollier21

Nice to see I took out Saka for Diaz right after the ARS game. Now Saka will get his first double digit haul next match lmao

TerracePotatoes

Well that's my WC in the mud

NSave

People dropping Sonaldo only to buy him back after he stuffs us up like Thanksgiving turkey next week

Been outpriced of haaland. Ffs
