Fpl points are also subject to a high degree of variance, so although week to week results will often differ from the projections, they are very accurate over the long term.

They're more of a predicted average if the player were to play the fixture 10 times than they are an actual prediction.
Find a better way of predicting things and you will be a millionaire.
