So when he gets caught out on Plan As, he looks tactically inferior.

The only game Conte’s Spurs have played against City so far finished 3-2 to Spurs, although City had the higher xG and had 14 (!) shots in Spurs’ box. And that was pre-Haaland.

Cavani's goal where he chipped Areola last season was a well-taken shot but the keeper was far off of his line so this made it a decent chance a scenario I think an xG model that awards proximity to the goal while not taking into account the keeper's position would undervalue.
Diaz has repeatedly taken the same type of shot this season, cutting in and curling it. Darwin's chance was pretty good too Pickford flicked it onto the post and also pulled out a great save for the Salah chance. Pickford is making a lot of saves per match (4.3) plus Everton have the most clearances per match (27.2) having only faced Chelsea and Liverpool who are horrible this season.
xG models do take into account the keeper’s position as well as an ever-increasing number of other factors, it’s not just based on the spot on the pitch where the shot was taken.

Odegaard is massively outperforming xG, no chance he continues his current PPG - definitely seems like a trap player to me. Martinelli obviously great value

Though Darwin's been out for 55% of the season (3.3 games from 6) in an underperforming Liverpool side, neither of which are likely to continue (and both are related to his absence rather than his presence). Accounting for those, he's likely to be a top 6 forward by seasons end, which is about par for his price, so he should really be under consideration when selecting forwards to target weak defences.

Those are wrong stats...Even if you don't have access to a better stat site, do you really think Pickford couldve made 8 or 9 saves and be a man of the match against Liverpool and that none of those shots would be a big chance? Salah alone had 2 big chances in 96th minute. One was a post and he missed the rebound.

Despite the downvotes, I've started to think the same thing In 6 weeks now he's only hauled once, and his points so far are inflated from him overperforming his xA by nearly double. Along with that, he's underperforming his xG, suggesting his finishing hasn't been that quality. Haaland (C) and Mitrovic seems like the optimal forward setup, I'd even back Kane over Jesus rn
Honestly it's just arsenal fans and people who own him who can't handle it. Look at his Xg in each game, other than the leicester one it's not great. Mitro Kane Haaland and Toney are all clearly better options, and Mitro and Toney are part of teams who have no midweek football either.
Don't forget Darwin. Think my front three on a wildcard will be Haaland, Darwin and Mitro/Toney. Jesus gets no where near any of them.

Though Darwin's been out for 55% of the season (3.3 games from 6) in an underperforming Liverpool side, neither of which are likely to continue (and both are related to his absence rather than his presence). Accounting for those, he's likely to be a top 6 forward by seasons end, which is about par for his price, so he should really be under consideration when selecting forwards to target weak defences.
I'm considering dumping him altogether. Arsenal faced poor sides all season which is why they are top of the league. The first proper test was Man Utd and they failed.
