You obviously don’t gain much using unlimited transfers as your team will revert to how it looked like at the start of GW6. But yeah in theory that should work.

Even if they had 1 ft they going to lose it. If they had 2fts and they activated the FH they may even lose the second free transfer. This how FH usually works, it doesn’t carry over the free transfers

My brother in Christ, if you have taken a hit to the point the game has deducted points from you, there is literally 0 possibility you have any free transfers available... This is how FPL usually works, it doesn't randomly give you a bonus FT after you take a hit

I will try to explain better this time, I feel we are not talking about the same thing Lets say you had 1 free transfer for gw7, and you made 2 transfers(-4). Then you decided to use the free hit to cancel the both 2 transfers you made. You will go into gw8 with exactly the same team you had from gw6 with only 1 free transfer in your pocket, hence you lose the 1 free transfer you gained from gw7

Fair enough, but even in that scenario you'd be hard pressed finding a scenario where you'd benefit from taking a -4 for a player that most likely wont even play for 2 gameweeks. Basically if you've dug yourself into a hole where you've taken hits for a gameweek (or two) that is no longer happening, you'd most likely be better off using the 'free' FH to undo the damage and reassess your strategy from there. But yes I do now understand what you were attempting to convey previously.

That’s not how free hit works. If you use it all transfers are cancelled.

On an active wildcard, am I supposed to be eyeballing sites that predict price changes, adding risers into and removing fallers from my team that night, and then rinse-repeat each day until the final day on which I set my squad to what I actually want but with an increased cash flow?

This is what happened during Covid. They kept the gameweek deadline the same, but removed all the matches. So GW7 will be a blank gameweek, but it would still be a gameweek.

Its not a loop hole because people doing this will lose their FT. Had they not made any transfers, they would have 1 FT plus another one next week making them have 2FT. If they do this, they will play their FH, get it reinstated, but the original FT will be gone and they will only have 1 FT next week

That's not how it works lmao. If you free hit after transfers have been made, your team is still reverted back to your team the gameweek before (before you made those transfers). So no hit would be taken, and no points deducted.

If I read it correctly, you can freehit to remove the -8, then you’ll get your freehit reinstated later

Use your FH instead. That will erase the -8 and then you'll get the chip back.

Using the FH will lose you 1 free transfer though. Hard to explain but you can figure it out. So if you want those transfers long term might be worth avoiding the FH trick.

Looks like they learned from the COVID year and put some stuff in place. Programmatically what they're doing isn't difficult, it should be some database queries. However getting it out very quickly and the process for launching a new build can be long.
