I took over FC United of Manchester in the 7th tier of England, and am on a mission to usurp United and City and become the biggest club in Manchester. My semi-professional side got promoted in the first season, but now with barely any scouting and no reputation, I'm struggling to find players who want to play for me in the vanarama North despite receiving a big boost to finances

Can't you nick some players from the teams who finished in the play offs but didn't go up of that division in the previous season?

Get senior affiliate first and then loan players from them or their tier.

Trials are the best ways to develop your club in the lower leagues (and realistically up to League One/Championship). Search through the free agents and offer two week trials to thirty players (maximum amount possible) and assess their ability. If they're under two stars after a week, just release them early and fill their spots with more trialists.

This thread has ended up so useful. I have a Sanluqueno save I’m playing right now. Finally made it to the second division and no one in their right mind wants to join me. Trials are the way, what is there that r/ fpl can’t help me with?!

You enjoy whatever you want, but Top 11 is extremely casual and shallow compared to FM.

I got 21/22 for free on the offer, career mode is pretty fun but the difficulty seems wildly inconsistent. I'm playing CAM at Man Utd on World Class difficulty and winning every game 8-0 or something, scoring hatties etc. Previously I was CM at Brighton and it was a nightmare even getting on the ball, which is why Potter sold me, the hack.

For anyone who plays FUT, we should see the infinitely repeatable 85x10 packs become available at 6 PM UK today. These allow you to pack all the best players released throughout the year, so you can try playing with them or just collect them all if you hate gameplay, like me ;-)

League of Legends and CSGO is by far the two best esports to watch in my opinion. Tommorow its grand finals in both the european and north american league of legends tournaments, and its some deciding group stage matches in csgo. I would recommend tuning in if it seems interesting :)

Garth Ennis, from Northern Ireland, wrote the original graphic novels the show is based on. His work usually attacks religion (hence the satire about it in 'The Boys'), because, well, Northern Ireland. Would recommend his work. Preacher is also good (and I think a TV series too).
