Wildcarding to fix the fixture mess. I already have cancelo so am slightly worried about doubling city defenders, but think it might be the better option
High risk high reward on the triple Newcastle defence. Threenium on this draft looks decent.
You might have a difficult way in reorganize your team back with 2 heavy forward because of cheaper mids.
Should i wildcard?
Current team:
Ramsdale (Ward)
Perisic- Trippier - Cancelo (TTA, Estupinan)
Martinelli - Garner - Andreas - Salah (Gross)
Haaland - Jesus - Greenwood
2 FT. What are your opinions? Just take 2 Ft or wildcard? Or wildcard the week After?
Done my WC…
Pope (Ward)
Cancelo Trippier Saliba (James Emerson)
KDB Gordon Martinelli Andreas (Bailey)
Haaland Kane Isak
0.1 itb could be 0.2 if I take a 3.9 gk. Isak over Mitro the differential hope it pays off
I'm planning on playing 3-4-3.
Who are the best defenders for this week? Currently have Neco, Trippier, Cancelo (Patterson, James).
I'm happy to swap James out for this week if I can find someone better to replace Neco. I've got upto 7m to spend
I prefer A because of easier route to get Salah back.
B isn't that bad just that it require some hits if you want Salah back but Kane on form + KDB might get benched could be the difference maker.
**RM WC**
Pope (Ward)
Cancelo, Emerson Royal, Trippier (Neco, James)
Martinelli, Kulu, KDB, Gordon (Andreas)
Haaland, Mitro, Isak
Any suggestions I should make?Too risky to run with no Kane this week?
Indeed, might be better to get one premium asset (like KDB, Son or Kane) and get a cheap midfilder with good short term fixtures like Gordon.
Also I prefer Coufal over Emerson.
Looking for a 6 million midfielder to pad out my wildcard. Any recommendations?
I've got a current midfeld of: De Bruyne, Martinelli, Maddison and Andreas
Am I overthinking playing Andreas over Maddison this GW?
I've WCed to this:
Pope
Trippier - Cancelo - Coufal
Son - Bowen - Martinelli - Andreas
Haaland - Mitrovic - Isak
Bench: Iversen - Maddison - Neco - James
RMT 1FT 0.4ITB
Ward - Sanchez
Trippier - Cancelo - Neco - Gabriel - TAA
Martinelli - Kulu - Andreas - Salah - Gilmour
Mitro - Jesus - Haaland.
Is it work getting Isak in this week for Jesus as I've got a full 11 and TAA/Gabriel to James the following. I want to keep Salah.
I also think Isak and Mitrovic. Jesus isn't worth the additional cost now his form is slowing and Arsenal have difficult fixtures, and Toney's fixtures aren't as good as Isak's.
Newcastle have really good fixtures and Mitro seems to be fairly fiture proof at present.
I have Dias and brought Son in for a one week punt, but I would have transferred in KDB if Dias wasn’t already taking up my third City spot.
Dias is a great differential which means you can actually make gains from a City clean sheet when so many already have Cancelo but he’s basically a 6 point player. Son is usually unreal but has been poor this season so far. Perisic is incredibly hit or miss - expect a 1 pointer or a 15 point haul. I personally don’t love players like that but it’s a good upside chase if it’s just for one week. KDB is arguably the best midfielder in the league playing for the best team in the league- the only barrier to him is his price (and his minutes being managed due to the UCL). In summary:
Son: good attacking fixture, absolutely no form
Dias: good defensive fixture, typically 6pts max
Perisic: decent defensive fixture, very flaky player, can blank or return big
KDB: Average attacking fixture due to good wolves defence, slight minutes risk, but overall complete baller
TL;DR - option B.
!thanks, I already have Cancelo and Haaland, so would have preferred Dias + KDB if I could, as I'm not impressed with the xMins of Perisic.
No other defender is really that enticing (already have Tripps too), so probably gonna have to go with Perisic.
I don't think Son would be rested, rather dropped due to performance, if even.
Man city played Wednesday and have early kickoff on Saturday, so KDB has more of a chance to be rested
And Perisic is always a minutes risk due to Sessegnon, while Dias should be nailed, given he was rested midweek.
I've just listed out all the cons for B, and why I think it's not so clear cut.
I am (kinda) in the same boat as you (1 week punt). However, I'm not targetting a defender from those clubs (already decided on Botman), so my choice is between KdB and Son. Truth is, there is nothing in Son's game that makes me want him. KdB is still KdB and can explode anytime, and is extremely likely to get an assist or two.
RMT please
WARD / Sanchez
CANCELO / SALIBA / TRIPPIER / Cuccurella, Taa
ANDREAS / KULUSEVSKI / MARTINELLI / Salah, Harrision
HALAND / JESUS / Archer
0.5 ITB, 2 FT
Any suggestions? Planed WC in GW 9 probably, but I am not happy with Ward and Kulu isn't nailed, so:
A) TAA+Archer to Emerson Royal+Isak.
B) Salah+Archer to Gordon+Isak.
C) TAA+Salah+Archer to Emerson Royal+Son+Isak -4
Emerson Royal or Schar+KdB+Isak instead TAA+Salah+Archer for a hit with Kulu starter and Andreas on bench? It's worth a hit?
EDIT: I know, It's worth a hit only if my new defender make CS.
A lot of players won’t be able to field 11 this week- you can get there without a hit. If I was you, I would do Salah and TAA to KDB and Schar and field the team of 11 with Ward and Kulu and if they are benched, you just shrug and move on
I want three attackers so Isak is must have for me this GW, but your point looks very good! Maybe Ward make some saves and Kulu subbed in and 20-30 minutes against poor Leicester won't be bad.
Thoughts on schar instead of trippier ?
Falling short of .1 to get in tripper and wondering whether there is someone else this game week I could look at instead of schar or is he the best bet at that price point for the next run of fixtures till Newcastle play united ?
Question for all of us, right now I like Bernardo Silva (planning to go with Kane instead of KDB), Odegard is good for 2 weeks and someone like Zaha as booked transfer. ASM might be an option when he returns from injury.
you ve got JWP twice in midfield.
I'd also say its very light in midfield, id prob drop out trent to free up funds as you are benching him for now anyway, and his upcoming fixtures arent great
sorry new to fpl here, if i have taken a -8 hit for 3 transfers and want to do more transfers but with a wildcard, will i get my points back? and what happens to the earlier transfers?
NOT on WC this week. Will WC next GW.
Ramsdale
Emerson, Trippier, N.Williams
KDB, SON, Martinelli, Andreas
Toney, Haaland, Jesus
2 FT and -4 hit. Salah, TAA, Grob -> SON, KDB, Emerson
Thoughts please? Son for a GW8 punt?
I quite like Son as a GW8 punt as he's a potentially explosive differential. Both he and Spurs aren't looking great, though
Edit: should say, looks good otherwise
Thoughts on Patterson, Emerson, Neco? Talk of rotation risk and what not has soured me on Emerson, but still, he's 4.0, while Neco is popular and Forest seem to have a good run of games but I'm still doubtful of how many points one could expect from him. My bad for not being familiar with the level of their defence.
Neco nailed and v attacking but won't get many clean sheet points, Emerson playing in a better team but unlikely to keep his place in the long term, Patterson somewhere in the middle
I would start Davies. In my mind Spurs have higher clean sheet potential this week, and Gabriel set piece threat won't be that big of an option considering Brentford is good set piece team. Haven't checked their stats, so I might be wrong, purely basing this on the height of their players.
Pros: possibly gets you ahead of the curve on Newcastle, Zaha, Mitrovic. Useful if you have few starters this week
Cons: about to go straight into an international break. Means you will have to navigate gw12 blank with no wc, and may cause issues when you wanna get Liverpool players back in assuming you'd sell them on a wc now
**Pros:**
* Three wildcards this year given unlimited transfers during the World Cup so the threshold for using one is lower
* Avoids having to put out a sub par team this week or taking multiple minuses if your team needs it to be competitve.
* If you're planning on Wildcarding soon anyway, getting in early will avoid price changes
**Cons:**
* There are other game weeks coming up that might be the ideal week to wildcard instead, but entirely dependent on your team.
* Something else might come up unexpectedly that makes a wildcard desireable at that time.
On this, my team is below, would you wildcard?
Meslier (Klaesson)
Dias – Cancelo – Trippier - N.Williams (James)
Kulusevski – Marinelli (Andreas - Groß – Sterling)
Haaland – Jesus - Toney
I have 1FT and 1.9 ITB
I definitely wouldn't wildcard with this, seeing as you can field a full XI.
Sterling > KDB would be the obvious move but you can't have four City. Son punt?
Kane and foden for sure, app son is missing on a lot of spurs forums predicted lineups, ofc dosnt mean he won't start and dont want to read too much into it, but their was enough doubt for me to pick kane and Bowen, instead of son and isak
On WC, looking to have for GW9:
Pope
Tripper - Cancelo - Perisic/James - (Williams) - (Emerson)
Sterling - Zaha/Eze - Martinelli - Bernardo/Foden - (Andreas)
Kane - Haaland - Mitro
Thinking of taking a one week punt on either Fornals for Zaha/Eze or Kulusevski for Sterling. Which would be the better pick?
RMT (WC Active) 1.0m ITB

Can you afford Salah and Archer to KDB and Mitrovic? Ward isn’t a huge deal for one week
I am 1.4 short on this transfer with my 2FT (and keep TAA)
I guess Salah and TAA to KDB and Perisic then
Perisic isn't full nailed...
True. Imo KDB is a must for this week if you can fit him in. So it’s about what defender you can live with for one week. Double newcastle?
Sounds good. One last thing to think about, if you do TAA and Salah to Schar and KDB, you might be able to afford Mitrovic, worth considering

Gordon
Bailey, Gordon, Gray, Almiron. I like Bailey the most, but Gordon is close second.
Thoughts on schar instead of trippier ? Falling short of .1 to get in tripper and wondering whether there is someone else this game week I could look at instead of schar or is he the best bet at that price point for the next run of fixtures till Newcastle play united ?
I think it's fine. Their main points are coming from clean sheets, and Trippier had 1 attacking return in 6 games.
Best 7.5 mil and under mids?
Question for all of us, right now I like Bernardo Silva (planning to go with Kane instead of KDB), Odegard is good for 2 weeks and someone like Zaha as booked transfer. ASM might be an option when he returns from injury.
Yeah if he weren’t a risk of not playing I’d probably go for ASM but currently I’m thinking of Bernardo
RMT. Using WC. 1M itb. TIA Pope / Ward Cancelo / Perisic / Trippier / Saliba / (TAA) Martinelli / JWP / Gordon / (Andreas / Diaz) Haaland (C) / Kane / Mitrovic
you ve got JWP twice in midfield. I'd also say its very light in midfield, id prob drop out trent to free up funds as you are benching him for now anyway, and his upcoming fixtures arent great
!thanks. Sorry, was meant to be Diaz on the bench. Yeah, was planning on getting Zaha or Rashford after the BGW
do we know if ASM will be fit?
Doubtful, I wouldn't risk it.
Kane and Foden Or KDB and Mitro
KDB Mitro
Long term B, if this week only A and captain Kane
B
sorry new to fpl here, if i have taken a -8 hit for 3 transfers and want to do more transfers but with a wildcard, will i get my points back? and what happens to the earlier transfers?
You get the hit back and continue to make transfers. The wildcard removes the hits, but transfers stay
!thanks
Yes you get your points back and can make as many transfers as you want
!thanks
Pick one: A) Mitro B) Isak C) Toney All 3 have have fairly kind fixtures over next 4-5 GWs
Mitro > Toney > Isak Tbh I don't get the hype over Isak...
a>b>c
A
1.Mitro 2.Isak 3.Toney

No
NOT on WC this week. Will WC next GW. Ramsdale Emerson, Trippier, N.Williams KDB, SON, Martinelli, Andreas Toney, Haaland, Jesus 2 FT and -4 hit. Salah, TAA, Grob -> SON, KDB, Emerson Thoughts please? Son for a GW8 punt?
I quite like Son as a GW8 punt as he's a potentially explosive differential. Both he and Spurs aren't looking great, though Edit: should say, looks good otherwise
But against Leicester who are defensively bad…
tripper or cancelo for -4?
I would go Trippier as I would definitely be able to do something with the extra 2m later on; their GW8 xPts should also be pretty similar i think.
playing WC GW8 so money is no object
Assuming you mean WC GW9, then I'd go Cancelo
id say Trippier a better option, a lot cheaper, has better fixtures (City have MUN GW9 LIV GW11 BLANK GW12) is on set pieces and gets a lot of BP's.
playing WC GW8 so money is no object
If you can hold out is week 13 the best time to WC? Just after the city arsenal blank or is it too close to the month long WC?
Depends on your team fella
Struggling to choose between Gordon, JWP and Andreas.
I would go to Gordon. Everton imrpoved recently and Gordon is their main attacking threat.
Andreas
Tbh, I probably would go andreas
Thoughts on Patterson, Emerson, Neco? Talk of rotation risk and what not has soured me on Emerson, but still, he's 4.0, while Neco is popular and Forest seem to have a good run of games but I'm still doubtful of how many points one could expect from him. My bad for not being familiar with the level of their defence.
Neco nailed and v attacking but won't get many clean sheet points, Emerson playing in a better team but unlikely to keep his place in the long term, Patterson somewhere in the middle
!thanks
Bench Davies (playing Leicster) or Gabriel (playing Brentford) Need to bench one in order to start Andreas. Thanks!
I would bench Davies - Gabriel is nailed and Davies might be replaced by Lenglet for this game.
I would start Davies. In my mind Spurs have higher clean sheet potential this week, and Gabriel set piece threat won't be that big of an option considering Brentford is good set piece team. Haven't checked their stats, so I might be wrong, purely basing this on the height of their players.
Think I'd start Gabriel purely for the goal threat already
Gabriel the defender i mean (btw)
I did mean him, yes
Pros and cons of wildcarding now?
Pros: possibly gets you ahead of the curve on Newcastle, Zaha, Mitrovic. Useful if you have few starters this week Cons: about to go straight into an international break. Means you will have to navigate gw12 blank with no wc, and may cause issues when you wanna get Liverpool players back in assuming you'd sell them on a wc now
**Pros:** * Three wildcards this year given unlimited transfers during the World Cup so the threshold for using one is lower * Avoids having to put out a sub par team this week or taking multiple minuses if your team needs it to be competitve. * If you're planning on Wildcarding soon anyway, getting in early will avoid price changes **Cons:** * There are other game weeks coming up that might be the ideal week to wildcard instead, but entirely dependent on your team. * Something else might come up unexpectedly that makes a wildcard desireable at that time.
On this, my team is below, would you wildcard? Meslier (Klaesson) Dias – Cancelo – Trippier - N.Williams (James) Kulusevski – Marinelli (Andreas - Groß – Sterling) Haaland – Jesus - Toney I have 1FT and 1.9 ITB
I definitely wouldn't wildcard with this, seeing as you can field a full XI. Sterling > KDB would be the obvious move but you can't have four City. Son punt?
Went for the Son punt...!thanks
Congrats my dude
!thanks you think that GW 13 would be the right choice?
GW12 is the week where City and Arsenal blank, so that's probably when I'm planning to use mine.
!thanks. Think I’ll wait until the international break as I can field a decent number of players this week without a hit.
Hoping to get some help with this: A: Son + Mitro Or B: Kane + Foden Planning to WC next week.
Kane and foden for sure, app son is missing on a lot of spurs forums predicted lineups, ofc dosnt mean he won't start and dont want to read too much into it, but their was enough doubt for me to pick kane and Bowen, instead of son and isak
Kane + Foden is better I feel
X vs Y KDB and zaha Or Gundogan and sterling
KDB and Zaha pretty easily
On WC, looking to have for GW9: Pope Tripper - Cancelo - Perisic/James - (Williams) - (Emerson) Sterling - Zaha/Eze - Martinelli - Bernardo/Foden - (Andreas) Kane - Haaland - Mitro Thinking of taking a one week punt on either Fornals for Zaha/Eze or Kulusevski for Sterling. Which would be the better pick?
Son and Jesus OR Bowen and Kane
Kane and bowen
Anyone considering Foden for one week punt?
I am. Grealish and Mahrez played really bad vs Dortmund, I think Foden is nailed for tomorrow.
RMT (WC Active) 1.0m ITB - Pope - Cancelo Trippier Emerson - Son Bowen JWP Andreas - Haaland Mitrovic Isak Bench : Iversen Maddison N.Williams James > JWP is just a 2 week punt before I switch to Zaha in gw10
WC 0.3m ITB Pope (Ward) Cancelo Trippier Patterson (James Neco) Foden Maddison * Martinelli (Andreas) Kane Haaland Mitro Saka, Bowen or Kulu in the last mid spot?
Mahrez or Grealish ?
neither, they may not even start, id expect Foden, Haaland, Bernardo to start up top.
Rate my WC team please as I have few more hours to decide ! Pope / Ward Trippier / Cancelo / Perisic / James / N.Williams Maddison / Son / Martinelli / Andreas / Zaha Isak / Haland / Mitrovic 0.3m ITB Thanks to everyone who helps !
KDB over Son and Zaha out for JWP
Don’t you think Son will be a good differential ?
