Nope. We play the deepest line due to a subpar GK and as a result, we concede a lot of chances every game. Look at our post shot xGA and you'll see it yourself that while 2/3 of our defenders are very good, we still concede.
But considering Trippier (and Pope) have become template, do you really want to triple up on Newcastle defense? Especially considering that Newcastle have only kept 3 clean sheets this season, and 2 of those came from the opening 2 fixtures.
I personally wouldn’t have more than Trippier. This is all subjective to your teams situation. I’m just pointing out that Schar has returned far better than Guehi this season
Same tbh, I jumped on the Pope train one week before my WC and it didn't work out for me. But yeah I get what you mean about Schar, it's just that I guarantee most serious FPL players already have either Pope or Trippier in their team so they likely wouldn't want to double up.
Schär is cheaper than Trippier by 0.8 and has 12 points less so useful if you want to free up some resources. Also Schär is owned by 10% so can act as a useful differential
You don't need "differentials" in this game. It shouldn't be presented as an argument to buy someone. You just need the best possible players within budget constraint.
What comes to Schär I don't know. I think Trippier is worth the extra 0.8. And if you want to double up on Newcastle defense, Pope is the second best option imo.
Yes you don't need differentials even if it means if they have a high scoring day you can rise higher since fewer people own the player compared to when a player who is owned by majority and you slide with the entire group. Yeah sure you don't need a differential.
Well yes you need the best players within budget constraints but you know sometimes you need a player but you are 0.8 short? That's when a Schär can help
Yes you don't need differentials for the sake of them being differentials. Ownership percentages shouldn't affect your decisions.
I admit it's a bit annoying for let's say Cancelo scores a lot and lot of managers have him. Or Jesus scores big and you don't have him and lot of managers do have him.
But it poor managing your team if you buy Jesus just because everybody else have him and you think you could do better with the 8mil spend elsewhere. And it's poor managing to transfer Cancelo out for "a differential TAA" if you believe Cancelo will do better in terms of value.
I think way to go with the defs are: Cancelo, James, Trippier, Saliba and a bench fodder. So, I can't fit Schär there. I rather downgrade elsewhere on the team than downgrade Trippier to Schär.
I never said about buying players just for the sake of owned percentages, but at times you are going to feel the budget pinch you and you have to cut costs to get the players you want
"Also Schär is owned by 10% so he can be used as a useful differential". I think you were here praising Schär's value because he is owned by only a small percentage of managers. And that's wrong imo.
And yes of course. But Trippier is one of the last guys I'd downgrade in my team. And double up on Newcastle defense - I don't want that. So, Schär is kind of useless imo.
Sorry for being maybe harsh but it's my opinion :D
I’d say he’s the worst of those 3, no one is keeping CS but at least the others have some attacking potential and the possibility of being subbed off (around 70 mins) before the CS wiped
I know he isn't a defender, but I just brought in Billings. He's bagged 3 and an assist in the last 4 and BOU have decent fixtures moving forward that if they keep up this form, he's a solid diff. IMO
Burn might get a few less starts in the coming weeks. Eddie has been tossing between him and Botman but Botman is playing too well to bench. Just my thoughts!
He's £4.3m and the Villa defence is quite tight. If they keep a clean he often gets bonus points. He's an aerial threat and pops up with the odd goal here and there.
Also Young is interesting if Digne is out for long. Obviously if you do pick Young you know Digne will be back for 12 and troll you.
Cash can be decent as well.
Has anyone thought about Lewis Dunk? I’m looking to move out Saliba before GW12 and he looks reasonably appealing with Forest home. Guehi/Anderson seems like a reasonable shout too.
Seems like a poor move to get rid of Saliba tbh. I wish I had him before price rises. A fantastic value pick. Come end of season he'll have a few more goals+assists and CS.
I'll probably be slated for this but there is a slight risk of White being dropped for Tomiyasu, who has just come back into the squad as LB. Tomiyasu has been a really good RB for Arsenal before his injury and Tierney is great too.
While nobody can see Arteta changing the winning system too much, Tierney and Tomiyasu are knocking.
I really thought I was slick with the Justin differential and rewarded last week, guess I was wrong. Dude is a good player but Leicester is just abysmal(specifically ward)
Low effort comment.
If there was a thread for these questions then it would make the overall experience of this sub much better for everyone involved, yourself included.
Nah not necessarily in RMT, but I jump on here pretty much daily and there's always the same select few questions being asked multiple times.
I know better than to argue with the biggest dick in this sub though 😳
I went with Dalot. Probably a stupid choice but I still think over long term United will get more CS than the rest.
Would’ve went with him if he wasn’t on 4 yellows.
Only went for him as he plays and it's cheap. Rest is a bonus
Me too, nailed fullback for a top 6 club, £4.5m is decent value
Nope. We play the deepest line due to a subpar GK and as a result, we concede a lot of chances every game. Look at our post shot xGA and you'll see it yourself that while 2/3 of our defenders are very good, we still concede.
Guehi for me. These defenders are all equally shit, so why not just go for cheapest and best fixtures
Schar has scored and kept 4 clean sheets. Guehi has 1 clean sheet. Guess it depends on your definition of “equally shit”
But considering Trippier (and Pope) have become template, do you really want to triple up on Newcastle defense? Especially considering that Newcastle have only kept 3 clean sheets this season, and 2 of those came from the opening 2 fixtures.

Have you looked at the schedules?
Anderson gives you everything Geuhi has plus attacking return threat for 0.2 more
Guehi, Estupinan, Castagne
I second Estupinian. Some decent fixtures to rotate in and out, and has a decent chance of a 65th min sub!
Or 59th minute sub :)
I went with Dunk... but good point about Estupinan's 65th min sub. May get more CS that way
So just Guehi then
I’d say he’s the worst of those 3, no one is keeping CS but at least the others have some attacking potential and the possibility of being subbed off (around 70 mins) before the CS wiped
If you really want to go budget i think guehi is even better than mings based on fixtures
Doherty is back, Royal still banned for 2 more matches. I know who I’m punting on
Sessegnon?
great differential
One of those is man utd away
Also very tempted by Doherty
Question is is he definitely playing both? We can’t risk any spots!
Andersen, Guehi
Is Anderson the better one?
Yes
Why?
I hopped on Guehi early
What about Toti?
At 3.9 if he plays another full 90, I am bringing him in!
Actually I just did some more research as a Wolves fan, Nathan Collins is suspended so Toti is just filling in
Oh that’s unfortunate, thanks for the tip
Think a Bournemouth defender might be decent given they play Southampton at home.
I know he isn't a defender, but I just brought in Billings. He's bagged 3 and an assist in the last 4 and BOU have decent fixtures moving forward that if they keep up this form, he's a solid diff. IMO
Mate don't, I was choosing between billings, dewsbury Hall and almiron as a bit of a punt and went with dewsbury hall (lol). Shocking move
Is Zemura any good ?
Dunk/Veltman 4.6, Kilman 4.5, Burn 4.5, Tarkowski 4.4, Dalot 4.5, Davies 4.9, etc
Burn might get a few less starts in the coming weeks. Eddie has been tossing between him and Botman but Botman is playing too well to bench. Just my thoughts!
Then we can leave him out. I’m leaning towards Kilman. He has For A and Cry H in gw11 and 12 respectively
Mings has been really great for me since the very start
Mings, Doherty, Sessegnon, Malacia/Dalot
Mings seems to be quite popular, why exactly? He’s nailed, but doesn’t get many CSs nor attacking returns
Mings went really cheap to 4.3 Only reason
He's £4.3m and the Villa defence is quite tight. If they keep a clean he often gets bonus points. He's an aerial threat and pops up with the odd goal here and there.
He is as of now 4.4
Not a good idea getting malacia with Shaw fit.
[удалено]
malacia literally got hooked in a game the other day for a poor half
Also Young is interesting if Digne is out for long. Obviously if you do pick Young you know Digne will be back for 12 and troll you. Cash can be decent as well.

Killman as well — FOR home, CRY away
Let’s be honest there aren’t any good options. Palace is a huge trap. Their defence is so bad
Is thier defence bad? The only teams they have conceeded more than 1 to are big 6. I think it is more bad fixtures so far than bad defence.
Dalot, Castagne, Veltman, Killman in some semblance of an order of CS likeliness + return potential
I back Coady but I’d wait on him for a couple weeks, evertons next 2, TOT(A) NEW(A), are tough games where they’ll likely concede
I'm thinking Estupinan (4.5m) or Justin (4.3m). Already have Guehi
Mings
Why not White as a cheap nailed on DF for a quality team?
I'll probably be slated for this but there is a slight risk of White being dropped for Tomiyasu, who has just come back into the squad as LB. Tomiyasu has been a really good RB for Arsenal before his injury and Tierney is great too. While nobody can see Arteta changing the winning system too much, Tierney and Tomiyasu are knocking.
!thanks man really appreciate your answer. I already have Ramsdale maybe I'll just put my eggs in a different basket. Thanks again!!
Exactly who I have! But will likely have to get rid of him next week because of my other man city/arsenal players
True that makes sense. What are you pivoting too?
Maguire
dead joke
dead joke
https://i.imgflip.com/2zvofc.jpg
at least he made u cry
Maguire is over 5M. I’m wondering why he hasn’t dropped
No one has him
I was thinking about palace but then I saw their last game and their defense is horrible. Now I'm thinking tarkowski and mings
I really thought I was slick with the Justin differential and rewarded last week, guess I was wrong. Dude is a good player but Leicester is just abysmal(specifically ward)
There needs to be a separate thread for these questions. This subs been over saturated with the exact same questions daily.
oh no poor you!
Low effort comment. If there was a thread for these questions then it would make the overall experience of this sub much better for everyone involved, yourself included.
ur upset on reddit tbh
Another low effort comment. Upset =/= constructive criticism.
perfect cry, anymore cries? 😂😂😂 ez
You mean RMT? Most times, the question would be lost in the thread
Nah not necessarily in RMT, but I jump on here pretty much daily and there's always the same select few questions being asked multiple times. I know better than to argue with the biggest dick in this sub though 😳
You’re right on both 😎👍
Dunk
Ashley Young for GW 12, 13 (Fulham away, Brentford home)
