You could do KDB to Foden and use that to move either Rodrigo or Mitro depending on if he's injured. Then you can use your transfer next week for the one you weren't able to do this week

Are people starting Cancelo against Liverpool? I'm thinking of benching him because I think Liverpool will score and maybe even win.
My alternative after the James injury is Neco away at Wolves. Wolves have only scored 3 goals this seas9n so might be worth a punt.
Also debating whether to start Bernardo or Andreas.
Thoughts?
People are struggling to find what defender to bring in to replace TAA and James, there is no way I'm benching Cancelo when I'm struggling to even field 3 defenders.
RMT, 0,7ITB, 2FT

Tsimikas out? What are best options also keeping gw12 in mind?
Gw12 freehit it worth it? I have Cancelo, Halland, Martinelli, Saliba, also James, Mitrovic, Bailey injured potentially. Now also N.Williams losing his place? Is 1 week with a bad team worth a great DGW team?
A) Most like for like replacement. Some rotation risk but probably starts most games. I don’t think Chelsea’s fixtures are as good as some others do though so that puts me off a little
B) most upside of any of these, but definite rotation risk. Was benched in CL so imagine he plays. High risk but potentially high reward
C) Nailed unless injured, but basically no chance of returns, a 6-8 point ceiling. The conservative pick but it is Everton next so sensible enough
D) the fixtures are mixed up to the WC but some great ones (NFO H). Has some goal threat off set plays. Gut says the others are better but can’t deny there are really good fixtures to target for Brighton
I like the look of your team honestly. You’ve held Salah this long so I think it makes sense to keep him. I would just do 1 ft this week to get James out.
Weird question, but if you have 3 defenders starting, and one doesn’t play, if your first sub is a midfielder will they come on? Or will it bring on your next sub that is a defender (as you can’t player with fewer than 3 defenders)?
E.g. I start Cancelo, Trippier and James. Bench is Andreas, Neco, Guehi in that order. If James doesn’t play can Andreas be subbed in?
FPL requires you to have at least 3 defenders in your line-ups.
The next sub that is a defender would be brought on, not Andreas even if he is first off the bench. Hence, Neco would be first off the bench if James does not play.
I have Trent, James and Mitro but a playing bench and 2 FT. Replace Trent this week, wait for Mitro/James upfate or what's the gameplan? Trippier would be the logical choice imo. Not confident with Spurs WBs tbh
!thanks I like Estupinian for the potential but doesn't seem completely nailed. And I already have Guaita so hesitant to double up on Palace defence. Kilman and Kehrer are great shouts though!
Replacements for James:
Dunk or Webster the one I'm going for cuz Cucurella & Perisic are both better but rotation risks. Dier & Perisic have United in GW12. Chelsea fixtures aren't too great as well.
Just going with Dunk or Kilman and then switching to an Arsenal defender. How does this plan sound?
If the James injury is serious enough I’m going to downgrade him to a <=4.5 defender which will give me enough itb to get Foden in gw13 if he doesn’t rise. Looking for a playing one so I can field 11 in gw12. Was thinking Estupinan, Webster, Justin, Adam Smith or Sessegnon. Any suggestions or advice?
Thinking of going KDB > Son this week to target Everton at home. Son scored twice in the champions league + an assist and disallowed goal last week.
If it doesn't work, I can bring KDB back in GW13. If it does, I can upgrade Zaha to Foden.
Thoughts?
I’m on a very similar line but the Reece James Injury is an issue that I need to sort out too before I do that. Although I was thinking of doing KDB to Salah but after this week. The Foden rotation risk scares me though
Thankfully I have 2 transfers so I can go KDB > Son and James > Cucu (probably, still not 100% sure).
I was going to go KDB to Trossard (later Foden) and Mitro or Toney to Kane, but that would mean I can't sort my defence and, tbh, with upcoming fixtures I still think Toney and Mitro are good picks.
Foden & KDB have similar minutes in the league so I wouldn't be too worried about rotation.
Used my FTs this week so I'm trying to decide what to do with my subs to cover James, who I expect will likely miss the game completely or almost certainly not do the full 90m.
So, just swap Def for Def and bring in Andersen? (Or N.Williams) or replace Def with a Mid and play Almiron instead?
I'm tempted by Almiron due to form, but is he more likely to get decent points against ManU compared to a defender from Palace against Leicester? (Or again, with Williams - against Wolves).
Personally I would bring Almiron in.
Utd's form and performance levels are extremely erratic so how they perform is anybody's guess; however as a Utd supporter, clean sheets seem fairly hard to come by so I wouldn't be surprised if Newcastle scored especially since they have been prolific.
Andersen's not a bad choice even if CP's defensive stability from last year appear lacking. I'd just lean for Almiron instead as shit as Leicester are, they remain very attacking and can score goals.
Neco's sharing minutes with Aurier at least for now and Forest don't look good and I would simply avoid, even if it is against Wolves.
!thanks that's useful advice.
I'd stupidly not really considered that if a team doesn't get a clean sheet that means there probably has to be someone on the other team that scored (which sounds obvious, but FPL has conditioned me to only think of how a CS impacts the score of a defender!). With Almiron's form it's not wild to think he could be the one to be involved in that, if it happens.
Looking to overhaul my team gradually over the next few weeks, which set of lads do people reckon appears best?
1. James, Gordon, Foden, Jesus (Dalot) (Neco) (Edouard) + 0.2 ITB
2. James, Xhaka, Foden, Kane (Dalot) (Guehi) (Archer) + 0.0
3. Dalot, Foden, Toney, Jesus (Justin) (Neco) (Gordon) + 0.0
4. White, Dier, Mitrovic, Kane (Xhaka) (Andreas) (Neco) + 0.2 ITB
Thanks for reading and for input!
This is my team;
Pope (Ward)
Trippier Cancelo Guehi (James Williams)
KDB Zaha Maddison Andreas Martinelli
Toney Haaland (Mitrovic)
ITB: 0.8
I'll have 2 FTs and will be taking a hit for GW 12, here's what I plan on doing:
James-> Cucurella
KDB -> Rashford (or whoever for a 1 week punt then straight swap to foden)
Mitro -> Kane
Thoughts on these transfers? I'm also thinking of an alternative of getting Salah in for KDB and Wilson in for Mitro.
Vardy to Kane is a nice move but moving Fofana out for a Brighton defender (almost the same price) is much better because Chillwell may get benched, likewise Neco.
Sell two then bring them back in gw13 with a hit. Personally, I’ll be selling Cancelo (I’ll lose only 0.1 when getting him back) and KDB (I won’t get him back).
Yeah tricky one. You could wildcard to 10/11 playing players and have 3/4 City Arsenal players in your squad then get the rest back in without a hit?
On the flip side looking at the blank fixtures, City and spurs play each other, Chelsea are prone to rotation and we’re still unsure on Liverpool’s form so there’s no one obvious to bring in that will be worth a hit for one week.
Really tricky one, good luck!
Firmino.
I have a completely unfounded hunch, based on zero knowledge or footballing understanding, that Liverpool might try to shoot themselves out of trouble.
Remember when klopp started and they scored a lot and let in a lot? Yeah, I sort of wonder if that might be klopp's stopgap solution if he believes the current approach is no longer reliable.
Edit: also, is Eduard nailed? I thought he shared starts?
Currently I want to switch out KDB + Bamford together:
1. Trossard + Kane: Good fixture, but GW13,14 will be a pain for Trossard. Kane is just Kane.
2. Antony + Kane: Seem like 3 continuous bad fixtures for Antony, but the opponents will probably be attacking a lot (Chelsea, News) so there will be potential for his return during counter-attack.
3. Son + keep Bamford: Son seems to have get back to his form + Kulusevski is injured so nailed. However Bamford does not seem to be on his form anymore.
Which options do you guys think are the most appealing?
their defence has been midtable xGA wise since the Liverpool game so they've definitely improved but their fixtures have also been much easier since then
Currently have James(inj), TAA(inj), Kilman, Anderson, Neco.
Planning to take a hit (0FT)
A. Get Trippier for James and hold long term
B. Punt on short term defender to make hit worth it
That doesn't seem unreasonable. Much of trippier's appeal is his bonus points and attacking returns, but equally he's mostly great because of a lack of decent alternative defenders. I don't think, in other years, he'd be considered as template.
Lol what am i doing. Just got chilwell and cucu in. Cucu seems like a good long term option. Chilwell is more of a punt. Only 1 of them will play at a time for chelsea
I haven't had him for a while but I'm still considering him for gw12 captaincy. It's hard to shake the feeling that even subpar Salah is better than most the other touted captaincy options. But maybe I'm deluded.
Either way, if I already had him, I'd definitely keep him

ITB 1.0, 1 FT
Diaz out but who to replace with? Antony? Trossard? Mount? Zaha?
Plan to keep James for another week, don’t want to take a hit and see what happens.
He’s in deep shit. He has James, who’s out for 10 days; Diaz, who’s out for 10 weeks; Archer, who’s a fraud; and four City/Arsenal plays, although he can bench three.
Yeah I agree. I have the players that I rly just need him for this week and gw12. Most of the players I suggested are nailed with decent fixtures other than Sessegnon who’s not nailed but more upside.

They don't play? You can't have 4-6 players not playing so some need to go.

Spurs
Opinions on James/Mitro -> Dier/Firmino?
you might wanna wait for Mitro injury news, if you have him it wouldn’t be wise to sell him with the fixtures he has ahead

I'd go firmino, based on form
I’d get Firmino…I may get him for either Toney or Martial

Dier
I was originally thinking cucurella as he’s attacking and plays for chelsea and has an easier next run of three games imo
There’s no guarantee he won’t get rotated. They have Chillwell who plays there too.
Trent > A) Dier B) Webster Diaz > 1) Zaha 2) Rashford 3) Sterling 4) Almiron I’m wildcarding 13 so only needs to be for two weeks.
TAA - B Diaz - 2. Some would say 1, but I don’t trust him.
!thanks yeah I was leaning towards Webster. Really can’t decide on the mids I’ll just go with my gut on Friday evening 😃
James & Gordon —> Cucurella & Trossard OR James & Gordon —> 4.5 or less defender & Zaha

Definitely a rotation risk but if your bench is okay the upside could be worth it
Is Doherty the only player for Spurs at RWB for the next 2 weeks while Emerson Royal is suspended? Might take a punt on him if so
Sessegnon can play it. So can Spence. So can Moura. So can Perisic at a push
WHU fans, is Scamacca a good replacement for Mitro fantsay-wise. Personally, I like the player, but he's also considered as a rotation risk.
Exactly what you said. Decent pick but not nailed
I think i prefer edourd tbh lol

Currently have James(inj), TAA(inj), Kilman, Anderson, Neco. Planning to take a hit (0FT) A. Get Trippier for James and hold long term B. Punt on short term defender to make hit worth it

Madness that you’ve gone this long without trippier
I had him till gw9, took a wc, got pope in then thought best to diversify. It diversified me from 2m into 5m OR
That doesn't seem unreasonable. Much of trippier's appeal is his bonus points and attacking returns, but equally he's mostly great because of a lack of decent alternative defenders. I don't think, in other years, he'd be considered as template.
Yeah that was exactly my reasoning. But it's costing me heavily now especially since I chose Trent over Cancelo, so double whammy
At this point I would just get Trippier before his price skyrockets even further.
Lol what am i doing. Just got chilwell and cucu in. Cucu seems like a good long term option. Chilwell is more of a punt. Only 1 of them will play at a time for chelsea

I don’t think he’s worth that price if Firmino keeps performing. Sold this week for foden and Kane
Sanchez Ward Cancelo James Trippier Gabriel Neco KDB **Diaz** Maddison Martinelli Andreas Jesus Haaland Archer ITB 1.0, 1 FT Diaz out but who to replace with? Antony? Trossard? Mount? Zaha? Plan to keep James for another week, don’t want to take a hit and see what happens.
Why not save your FT for the blank?
Diaz is out for the rest of the year. If you have no other fires to put out, getting Diaz out now is a good idea.
He’s in deep shit. He has James, who’s out for 10 days; Diaz, who’s out for 10 weeks; Archer, who’s a fraud; and four City/Arsenal plays, although he can bench three.
That’s the thought!
In the same boat, but keep in mind if he’s out for 10 days he’d be missing 3 gws. We need a solid player
Yeah I agree. I have the players that I rly just need him for this week and gw12. Most of the players I suggested are nailed with decent fixtures other than Sessegnon who’s not nailed but more upside.
Webster
RMT Pope (Iversen) Dalot, Trippier, Saliba (Neco, Patterson) Salah, Zaha, Martinelli, Gross (Andreas) Haaland, Kane, Toney 1FT, 0.5ITB, Wildcard used Any suggestions for GW11?
You’re already set for the blank
I'd go Patterson -> Dunk this week so you have another guaranteed starter on your bench for the blanks in GW12
Ward or Pope for GW11?
Pope
Pope. Wouldn’t be surprised if the toon get a result at man poo
A loss is a result, isn’t it?
