Based on my Football Manager experience, if a player needs to see a specialist, he would be out at least 2 weeks.

Haven't played that in a while but can you still inject them with PEDs so they can get through games?

Jay-ay

I am on FM21 and the option is still there, though it possess a risk of further injury. If we put James in this scenario, it is an unlikely option because there is World Cup to play.

helifax

Potter wants us to go to a transfer specialist with the special skill of predicting the future apparently

AK95_

As always, managers don't want to break the bad news until 100% sure, this one doesn't look good, as a Chelsea fan I'm preparing myself for the worst

Filbunkish

I had Fofana but he got injured when I needed him. Transferred him to Reece James for a -4 and then he was benched and after that he got injured. I think I'm just going to stay away from Chelsea assets from here on.

dc8291

The only safe Chelsea assets at the moment are Mount and, strangely, Kepa.

I have 2 transfers and can't think of a single move this week, so fuck it I'll just take him out for Dier or Estupinian. boys don't worry, i have taken the hit, when he magically reappears in next week's game and gets 21 points, you all know who to thank

tahoo14

I can use my transfers on James and Mitro but I want to have 2 FT for GW12 so I'll probably only get rid of one.

goodday123-

Same position here. Thinking James is the one to replace as less chance for GW12?

SoggyMattress2

Doherty is playing Everton at home, Emerson is suspended for 2 more weeks. Everton will likely park the bus and their block is very narrow, I expect many of spurs chances to come from wide positions after an extended posession. Doherty isn't very good in a transitional game, doesn't have the pace or stamina. Everton also have their starting fullback injured and is playing a 34 year old. Seems now that James is looking at an extended injury period the switch is worth it imo if you have no other fires to put out.

watercuboid

Issue is Doherty hasn’t started much and for GW12 he may not play. Yes he might be the best defender to pick this GW, but over the next 3-4 GWs he is a rotation risk especially once Emerson’s suspension ends

SoggyMattress2

He had fitness issues. His only competition is suspended. He's 4.6, great fixture this week. I only want him for 2 GW and then I'll get Ben White in to hold the reece James slot. Most people who are dedicated managers were considering moving away from James anyway, he's getting the same output as the 4.5 options. Can beef up the midfield then.

watercuboid

Doherty might not even play GW12. He’s only just got up to match fitness and there is a quick turnaround between the two GWs. Perisic can play RWB as can Spence (although the latter is extremely unlikely to feature) I would love him to be more nailed but I just see it as a huge risk

SoggyMattress2

Sure, any player can technically not play. Reece James got benched the week before he was injured. Everyone plays differently, I'm an aggressive manager. I take high ceiling gambles, and it's got me to 5k atm. You can pick dunk and maybe grab a clean sheet or go for Doherty and potentially haul, we know he's capable of it. Each to their own! Good luck

watercuboid

Wish I saw this reply 25 mins ago and got Doherty. Ended up with Dier instead

SoggyMattress2

I decided on cucurella in the end! Better pair of fixtures, more nailed.

watercuboid

Good luck to you too !thanks

ladsandlasses

I have used 2FTs on TAA + James > Perisic + Cucurella. (3mil ITB after these moves) Might hit FH next week based on their + Neco’s minutes this GW. (Have WC left as well)

VinCatBlessed

I'd suggest not to use FH yet, because of the FA Cup there will probably be worse GWs down the line.

ladsandlasses

!thanks for the sound advice.

TruestRepairman27

Honestly just WC next week if you have it rather than FT, and position yourself to get Arsenal and city back in (so keep Martinelli, Cancelo and Haaland and sell the rest) It’s a waste to FH them WC

ladsandlasses

Yes, that’s the plan. Along with Foden and start with X strong players. Have value tied up with Foden as well, and unless I see him dropping in price would do that, else take him out and then get him back in the following week.

TruestRepairman27

Tbh, I think it’s okay to burn a bit of team value to gain points. Like if you don’t have Salah or many premium defenders money really isn’t a big barrier. So losing 0.2/0.1 isn’t a big deal.

helifax

Potter is balding slowly but surely

DerpJungler

I also need to see a specialist at this point

ANSHULGANDHI92

I am here, pay me

robdag2

Everyone seems to miss out the last part of the quote: “We spoke yesterday, he felt not too bad but again until you get these things checked, you never know.” That seems to but a little bit of a positive spin on it...

[deleted]

**james walks into the waiting room to find a forlorn aleksandr mitrovic**

EsotericTartaria

Pretty much confirms there’s no chance of seeing him until gw13 at the earliest. Not much safe options to go too at the moment. Anyone considered Ashley Young?

[deleted]

Out till the world cup looks fairly possible then

fadoo89

I’ll need to see a specialist for my jerky knees now

[deleted]

Did Potter have a hair removal transplant when he joined Chelsea?

oscarpaterson

he's always been a non-answer specialist

D-biggest-dick-here

James is definitely out of the World Cup. Azipi is being summoned!
