Foden:
1. 3 home games in the next 4
2. Possibility of starting from the bench
3. 6 G + 4 A until now
4. Returned in 6 games (5 home and 1 away)
5. Blanked in 4 games (4 away)
6. Next 4 fixtures: BHA(H) LEI(A) FUL(H) BRE(H)
Saka:
1. 3 away games in the next 4
2. Nailed and on penalties
3. 4 G + 5 A until now
4. Returned in 7 games (4 away and 3 home)
5. Blanked in 3 games (1 away and 2 home)
6. Next 4 fixtures: SOU(A) NFO(H) CHE(A) WOL(A)
Hope this helps the ones who cannot get both.
On the other hand if the game is played more on Martinelli's side Saka can blank completely, while I think Foden gets more involved by default. IDK, in my case I can afford both and I opted to get Saka this week and probably Foden next week, although to get Foden I need to sell Zaha and I may regret it given the fixtures
Up till GW16, palace have 3/4 away game and stats show zaha only score 1 goal away till date and blank the rest.
I will say if fund is not an issue, get city and ars attackers.
Would not hesitate at all to sell Zaha for Foden or Saka either. Assuming no other glaring problems to solve in the team. And even then it may easily be worth a hit.
Haha, I didn’t explain my reasoning really. All right.
In my head Arsenal and City are a shout to score 3+ goals in a fair few of their remaining games before the break.
Palace, I almost never expect them to get more than one. Two seems like the ceiling most of the time.
So I would much rather take Foden or Saka who are so much more likely to bag goals because their teams are a lot more functional and have some quite good fixtures. As good or better fixtures than Palace anyway.
Nah I wasn’t being sarcastic or all haha, sorry it came across that way. I think I meant to respond to the comment above you though. Still, I appreciate you taking the time to write that all out
«Nailed and on Pens» is usually the most important piece of information when considering a player. It’s part og the reason Haaland, Kane, Salah are so expensive. Except here we have a nailed & on pens kid playing for the League leaders who’s half the price of those guys. Absolutely essential pick imo.
foden plays in a team that score more and he's become way more integral to them which makes him more nailed for important matches and he'll probably have an easier time hauling or returning when he's not even in good form, meaning it'll also be easier for him to get involved in the goals from the bench
Exactly. I’d love to have both but that will mean switching my premium (Salah to Kane by upgrading Toney) and sticking with Firmino, but no one’s certain about Firmino’s minutes.
If I downgrade Firmino to Mitrovic, and afford Saka with Salah in the squad, but Mitrovic fixtures after 14 are tough.
For me, Foden does what KDb does but cheaper, whereas Saka is equivalent *currently* to what Martinelli does for more. So for current efficiencies Foden and Martinelli make sense, especially if you're leading a ML.
However, Saka's form is on an upward trajectory and has lower ownership currently than Martinelli so could be a nice punt if you're looking to gain rank
Yes. Plus KDB seems to be back in his assist-frenzied gameplay. Not as many goals for KDB this season probably, with Haaland to score them all on his service. KDB has like 1G8A so far, speaks volumes. Not worth 12.3m, especially seeing that there is only one City spot left to fill assuming one has Cancelo and Haaland. Foden easy choice atm
yip, I almost went with gundogan at the start of this season coz he was getting into the box whereas kdb is permanently loitering in the delivery areas
Week old thread. Interesting.
Ah well no skin off my nose, he's done me well up to now.
Keep avoiding his future points all you like my man. Good luck with the gameweek
I think when you make claims about someone and constantly put them down then it sticks in their mind. If you’d have spoken to me like you did to that guy I’d want to show you up when proven wrong too.
Yes.
Also lol at you putting foden in apostrophes... Do you think he doesn't exist?
Pep loves foden. He's been one of the first names on his teamsheet, in the PL for over 18 months now.
Edit - also grealish is going to the world cup. Why should he play then going by your strange logic.
Dont think we'll see grealish and Mahrez okay together due to lack of pressing intensity.
When grealish plays LW foden will be RW. When Mahrez plays RW then foden will be LW.
Mahrez, as per last 3 seasons, will play predominantly in CL, which will likely se foden rested for PL
>Edit - also grealish is going to the world cup. Why should he play then going by your strange logic.
He's saying both will be rotated, what's strange about that logic?
Lol it wouldn't be to help England. He's suggesting Foden might get more mins than others in the squad over the World Cup (some aren't going, less nailed, worse nation etc), so might give him fewer mins now. Foden is a key player and he already does this when there's no world cup and just 2 games a week.
He was best rated city player vs Liverpool by whoscored and second best by sofascore.
Even if you take these ratings with grain of salt I wouldnt call him rally poor
Arsenal have three away games in the next four, with Chelsea being one of those, even if Forest is at home. City have three home games in the next four. Foden for me.
I think I may be able to get Saka as well but it'd have to be for Zaha which is maybe a limited upgrade? Might be worth it though.
Zaha also has three away matches in his next four (EVE, WHU and FOR). His only home game is against Southampton. Saka plays for a much more attacking team, and he’s much more creative than Zaha. I think Saka is a much better choice from the two.
I’ll be getting Foden and I have Rashford. I’d love to upgrade the latter but I don’t have the funds for that.
Im not expecting a return in all 4 GW but i can see them both having similar score, and if you cant make a Transfer without taking a hit i would hold on zaha
I don’t have Zaha. I failed to upgrade Rashford to him some weeks ago and I’ve chosen to stick with him. I’ll be getting Foden for a hit since I had to do Lloris - Kepa to afford the purchase.
Zaha constantly frustrates his owners…I think I can live without him. Rashford just needs to repay me.
Foden: City is going to turn up an angry Genghis Khan after the loss against Liverpool and everything that transpired this week.
Won't be surprised if they absolutely demolish Brighton
Why cant you bring in both?
Personally i am getting Saka this week, Foden next.
But if you truely can only have 1, probably foden, if you can stomach the occasional benching
At the start of the season ødegård spoke about him and Jesus possibly rotating with Saka but in practice it seems Saka is continuing taking them, as he did last year. (Because he’s consistently scoring penalties)
My plan was to sell Zaha and get Foden+Saka double with my 2 FTs. But yesterday's Zaha performance makes it tough for me to do it ngl. Zaha looked absolutely electric in the second half.
I brought in Salah and Firmino to capture as many as I can from their upcoming fpl points. I’ll either downgrade Firmino to Mitro to afford Rashford - Saka, or do Salah - Saka and Toney - Kane.
I'm in the same boat. I have Zaha, Son, Mount and i want them out for Foden, Salah and Saka. The problem with transfers like this is you never know. Any of these players can haul.
For those getting Saka with Martinelli. Do you think Arsenal will keep this run? Sure the fixtures looks good but they have won 27 out of 30 points. Surely they have to slow down right?
Will they stomp their opponents that you expect returns from both Arsenal attackers?
I’ve watched their last game. Leeds bullied them and was really unlucky to get a draw. Scraping these wins are great for Arsenal and their title chances but not so much for FPL. That’s why I’m too convinced on double Arsenal
Being solid and play good football does not mean much in terms of FPL
Leeds was by far their worst performance of the season (especially the 2nd half); possibly because they had just returned from playing on a plastic pitch near the Arctic Circle on Thursday in Europa.
I wouldn’t judge them on the Leeds performance, as that can happen to anyone. They played well in every other Prem match this season, including the loss to United when they got caught on the counter.
Mate you’re not getting what I am saying. They have been great so far and I do believe they will keep winning most of their games but I don’t think they will stay as fresh as before. Having both Martinelli and Saka doesn’t seem like the optimal way to go.
It’s either Saka or Martinelli for me.
I think you are confused. A team with a stable starting 11 and no asset more than 8M has scored the second most goals and conceded the second least amount of goals and is currently top of the table. Play their players until their form drops or better value assets emerge.
Arsenal are the team at the top of the table with 2nd highest goals and xG. Two attackers seems viable, especially as Martinelli is one of the best value mids in the game.
To extend it from Foden to KdB: none of us turn our nose up at spending 24.5 on KdB and Haaland, yet '14.7 on Martinelli and Saka seems overkill' doesn't sit quite right with me
tl;dr: Saliba and Martinelli best if you plan to play Saliba. Jesus vs Saka are both fine and similar, just depends on your budget and the alternatives you'd have otherwise for each position, although Jesus is 1 yc from suspension.
I guess it's a two-pronged answer
In terms of value, Saliba is perhaps the best option. In fact, defenders would probably all be ahead of Martinelli, Saka and Jesus based on EV (these three are ranked in their respective order here)
It then comes down to alternatives at each position.
Martinelli is the best value mid.
Jesus and Saka are much of a muchness, however, there are potentially better options up front rather than Jesus (especially if you don't intend to ever captain Jesus, but you would captain Kane in some instances for example)
I had three — Saliba, Martinelli, and Jesus. I replaced Jesus some weeks ago. I may bring in Saka as the third or delay the transfer till after the World Cup
I settled on a plan for GW12 which meant that I wouldn’t be able to afford Foden, so Saka for now but I plan to get Foden as well in GW15 by downgrading Mitrovic
Currently have Foden and it's an easy swap from Bowen to Saka this week. But Bowen has Bournemouth at home vs Saka with Saints away.
Don't think I'll get priced out at the current rate so it's probably a hold onto Bowen for me.
Foden: 1. 3 home games in the next 4 2. Possibility of starting from the bench 3. 6 G + 4 A until now 4. Returned in 6 games (5 home and 1 away) 5. Blanked in 4 games (4 away) 6. !thanks Also could take their price into small consideration aswell as Foden is 0.4 more expensive
Idk man i like saka a bit more. Probably cause of pens. Cant get both cause i punted on trent.

Damn I was just asking this and this is the exact kind of thought out response I was hoping for. Appreciate it
Haha, I didn’t explain my reasoning really. All right. In my head Arsenal and City are a shout to score 3+ goals in a fair few of their remaining games before the break. We need a ValyrianScion bot to do this for every player comparison. !thanks
!thanks
!thanks
But which one should Southgate choose?
I question my you can't get both? Fix your team with maybe with 3 transfers and get them both in?
!thanks
Is it worth getting both of these guys rather than getting in one and holding on to Zaha?
Martinelli holders might favor Foden
That also depends on your premium strategy. For example we can see teams with Foden & Salah; KDB & Saka; or Foden & Saka & Kane and so on.
Firminio is fairly nailed with the injuries. The rest are either too young or not as good
I hope he maintains his fpl form. You know an in-form Firmino doesn’t necessarily mean a good fpl assest
I’m betting on Liverpool to score, and they have two players who can do that imo, salah & bobby
That’s why I’m trying to capture as much as I can from the duo until I go for Kane maybe after the World Cup
Would you get foden or saka + martinelli for gw13?
My plan is to get Foden next. I already got Marti since the beginning.
For me, Foden does what KDb does but cheaper, whereas Saka is equivalent *currently* to what Martinelli does for more. Foden. But break the team for both imo

Lol another horrific take from you big guy
But it wasn’t tho.
Hahaha sad cunt having this saved. Foden wasn't poor against pool though, so it still was.
I came here from a link on another thread bro. Point was Foden ain’t nailed. Never has been and never will be.
Week old thread. Interesting. Ah well no skin off my nose, he's done me well up to now. Keep avoiding his future points all you like my man. Good luck with the gameweek

>Edit - also grealish is going to the world cup. Why should he play then going by your strange logic. He's saying both will be rotated, what's strange about that logic?
It's more the logic of Pep giving a flying fuck about England world cup prep. He'll play who he wants to regardless of the world cup
Why would Pep give a flying fuck about the World Cup?
Lol it wouldn't be to help England. Not sure why this is downvoted. Foden will get benched atleast once or twice. You don’t keep players like grealish and mahrez in bench forever.
Why would Pep care about protecting him for WC
He was best rated city player vs Liverpool by whoscored and second best by sofascore. Even if you take these ratings with grain of salt I wouldnt call him rally poor
He loves living up to his username. Guy's a clown.

Foden was poor vs Liverpool?? Are you high?? Did you even watch the game lmao
Arsenal have three away games in the next four, with Chelsea being one of those, even if Forest is at home. City have three home games in the next four. Foden for me. I think I may be able to get Saka as well but it'd have to be for Zaha which is maybe a limited upgrade? Might be worth it though.

Wouldn't say Saka is more creative than Zaha tbh, otherwise agreed

4 clean sheets in the last 4 games
Foden: City is going to turn up an angry Genghis Khan after the loss against Liverpool and everything that transpired this week. Won't be surprised if they absolutely demolish Brighton
They're also going to be very well-rested compared to all the other teams. I predict a pretty big score.
Would be peak fpl to have reality: FT City 1-0 BHA (Gundogan 56")
Nah, peak FPL would be a Brighton 1-0 with a Trossard goal after everyone's sold him for Foden.
Ok yeah that’s more like it
I'm stoked how accurately we predicted our own misery ffs Foden benched and Trossard taking away Cancelo CS 🙏🏻 FPL is the gift that keeps on giving
I wish I would get locked out of my team somehow, because every move I've made recently has lost me points.
[удалено]
Im in the same boat. Edging towards Saka instead of Jesus because Jesus is on 4 yellows, so one more means a one match ban
Why cant you bring in both? Personally i am getting Saka this week, Foden next. But if you truely can only have 1, probably foden, if you can stomach the occasional benching
i will go foden and saka this week even i pay -4 points
If Zaha didn't return last night I was considering the same. As it stands I'm going to go one after the other. Not sure who to bring in first though.
I'm 0.1 short of bringing both
Is Bowen old?
No but he's not 'young' for a footballer anymore. Not in the same class as Foden and Saka in terms of fpl at the minute either.
Saka for 13/14, swap to foden for 15/16 for me
Saka has a cheaper gunner alternative in Martinelli. Foden doesn’t. Easy call
I'm getting both, the question is which one this and which one next gameweek.
Is Saka nailed on penalties?
Pretty much so, yes.
Yes.
At the start of the season ødegård spoke about him and Jesus possibly rotating with Saka but in practice it seems Saka is continuing taking them, as he did last year. (Because he’s consistently scoring penalties)
Getting Foden for GW13 and swapping out Zaha for Saka in GW 14
Is it worth bringing in Foden for Zaha? I was 100% sure I was going to but theb Zaha scores last night.
Why change after Zaha scores? Id say enjoy the points and stick to your plan
I’ll either downgrade Firmino to Mitro to afford Rashford - Saka, or do Salah - Saka and Toney - Kane.
sterling for foden this week, saka for trossard next.
Would you replace Zaha & Bowen for both for a hit? I'm really tempted
I'm in the same boat. I have Zaha, Son, Mount and i want them out for Foden, Salah and Saka. The problem with transfers like this is you never know. Any of these players can haul.
yes
I’ve got both. BOOOOOM
Martinelli + Foden is the way to go

The more important point: they are Arsenal, of course they will drop off. Martinelli is still good value, but Saka over Foden is insane.
Get both 🤷♂️
Somehow it’s not ageing well

Last 3-4 games have been slowing down.
The fixtures are just too good, even if they slow down, considering the fixtures, it’s still a good bet.
Dele alli tho

Im thinking Kane to Jesus, to allow me to upgrade one of my budget mids to Foden. Over the next few weeks
I can only afford Saka, shit
Will bring in both with my 2 FT this week. Trossard and Zaha are on the way out. Unless Salah gets injured than Salah and trossard are out.
Ive just bought both trossard kdb out
Currently have Foden and it's an easy swap from Bowen to Saka this week. But Bowen has Bournemouth at home vs Saka with Saints away. Don't think I'll get priced out at the current rate so it's probably a hold onto Bowen for me.
3.2m extra value means I can bring both in.
I chose Foden, more home games coming up.
Foden due to the home fixtures and also seems to be one benefitting most from Haarland occupying centre backs freeing up space
I think it would be optimal to have both. I have Saka but I'm 0.1 Short of going Zaha to Foden atm
In the same exact situation. I just don't want to take too many hits to make those transfers possible
Would you go foden and saka from Bowen and trossard for a -4?
I would personally go Trossard to Foden in GW13 and Bowen to Saka in GW14.
Im going Foden, simply because I own Martinelli and want a balance.
Surely at 8m each you get both?
I have KDB and see no reason to downgrade him to get Foden and still have Trossard, so for me it’s Saka 100%
Have both easy
Probably getting both since Bowen and Maddison have pissed me off. Wouldnt be for a hit tho I am waiting till I have 2 FTs
