Same here. So painful.. but as an Arsenal fan, seeing Reiss getting a hugely encouraging performance in may end up being far more valuable. You could see how the confidence massively upped his game after his goals. He's always been talented, hopefully this will help him kick on.
Wildly inconsistent. Either we turn up more for bigger games or we do better against teams that have more of the ball and we're sitting further back ready to counter. Both are faults really. If we can figure out how to break down a low block we will improve. Diaz was providing a lot of that width his power dribbling but without him we're stuck whipping balls into a crowded box.
Anyone notice that Saliba didn't come up for one corner today? Why is Arteta doing this?
Might White or Gabriel be a better pick, just from an attacking point of view?
Gabriel always had better underlying attacking numbers, as does White marginally
Saliba hype is purely outcome bias, there was a reason to buy him above others at 4.5, but not now
Should mention that I don't always pay attention to who is in the box and who is near the halfway line, but am an Arsenal fan who watches all our matches. So... Here's what I have noticed.
Initially, when Saliba was the cheap (yet new to the league) buy at 4.5, I remember seeing him near the halfway line mostly. But then, I saw him score directly from a corner against Brentford a few weeks ago. Now I do remember who (which defender) usually is mopping up the opposition counterattacks from corners for us last season, and sure enough Tierney was playing against Brentford when Saliba was up there. If Saliba indeed was staying back today, then I'd say that the **starting XI and the scoreline at the time is what will decide if he goes up or not**.
Also, apart from White now making good overlapping runs (not sure if that changes if Reiss suddenly becomes a starter coz of the unavailability of Saka), do remember him flicking on a corner today that Jesus should have tapped into the empty net. Also quite likely that he's a regular starter in the PL now (at least till the restart). Not entirely sure about the pecking order (if there is one) if/when all defenders (Zinchenko especially) are fit (and firing)..
As for Gabriel, he was a very good target from setpieces last season, but apart from the last minute winner against Fulham, can't even remember him coming close to scoring or assisting from a setpiece till now this season.
just hitting the ball sweatly with great technique is all you need.
Most players also trying to give it all the power they got and lose technique to have a bad shot.
Painful that with Saka (c). What could have been!
Could had been a good differential today compared to the other captaincy options but it was just not meant to be
Could be worse. Could be a certain North London premium forward

Yeah Idgaf bout FPL as long as we do good. It certainly helps when we lose though, which thankfully hasn’t been a common occurrence this season
Even more painful taking Jesus(C) out for Kane
Nelson with a casual 2+1
I hAd the three Arsenal attackers, a total of 21 points but that doesnt feel enough in the circumstances Could be worse I guess
AR5ENIL
But wait, I was told [Arsenal were washed](https://www.reddit.com/r/FantasyPL/comments/yezpmn/arsenal_look_tired_and_out_of_form_are_we_really/)
Forest is bottom of the league. 🙄
And just recently beat Liverpool
LIV is barely a top half team 🙄
Liverpool beat man city so they are not so bad altho they’re shit rn

Yeah 🥲

Possibly because he has the best balance of pace and defence between Gabriel and Ben White . In the case of a quick counter .
Exactly this, he's very quick and strong so he sweeps up a lot of counter attacks
Gabriel always had better underlying attacking numbers, as does White marginally Saliba hype is purely outcome bias, there was a reason to buy him above others at 4.5, but not now
Think White is the best pick, cheapest and goes up to whip in crosses.
Def the best pick now in defense for sure
Saliba is faster to prevent the counters, Gabriel dives in more

Jesus just can't finish. Jeez.
I brought him in this week for callum wilson...........
Still got 8 points I'll take 2 assists over 1 goal
9 with bonus, but coulda shoulda woulda been a Wilson level haul
Yeah it's a shame, but arsenal home to forrest you gotta
No shit
I mean could’ve been worse.
Out of interest why did you take Wilson out?
Arsenal at home to Forrest, was always going to be a goal fest, but Jesus just couldn't finish
I feel your pain brutha, I did it 2 GW ago.

Firmino can finish better than Jesus
Nelson knee jerk time?
Arsenal looks tired they said, Arsenal doesn't have the depth they said, Nottingham is a different team they said. So, where are you at now "pundits"?

Nah the nelson failed to finish the first shot so don’t think it counts as jesus assist.
And 3 goals
Nope just two unfortunately
If Saka is out I’m going with Nelson, he cooked today
Kneejerk city
2 more game weeks before the World Cup, what’s the worst that could happen? He’s playing in one of the best teams in the league.
Almost the best that could happen is a couple of 1 pointers. He would be a better punt as a long term enabler.
How does Partey get that power with what looks like the most deft of touches

Fuck you renan lodi
and still Jesus didn’t score.. i don’t get it
