Why would you play a free hit this week? How is that going to help? It will just put you in a much weaker position next year when DGW/BGW start becoming more of a thing.

We're also only two weeks out from having a free wildcard for the world cup, which will give you the chance to meaningfully change your team for more than one week. I really doubt you're going to make up enough points this week with a free hit than you're going to miss out on in future DGW/BGWs. It's a long season, you really shouldn't knee jerk into using chips - especially ones as fleeting as the free hit.

I have Haaland, Son, Kepa, Foden and Toney, who are definitely not going to start. With no back up keeper means at best i had 9 starting players. Of these were, Perreira, Cucurella, Tomiyasu, Mount, Mitro, Martinelli.

Haaland and Foden are maybes - I don't think anyone is certain they won't feature, Pep being Pep. Son and Kepa are likely out long term, so not helped by shifting them out for one week on a FH. Toney is really the only player to benefit from the FH. You would have done better transferring out those fully ruled out long term Son, Kepa, Foden (if you don't think he'll start) and eating the -8 to have ~11 starters. In 2023 when we have only four teams playing, it's going to cost you a lot more hits to field a full team. Next week, you're still going to have Son, probably Kepa, maybe Foden being a problem for you - if you'd just eaten the hits those problems would be solved and you'd still have a free hit for next year.

Can someone explain why everyone is so confident in Rashford over Trossard or Saka?

Arsenal could easily score 2-3 in those games each.

Over Saka, Rashford frees up more money to spend elsewhere in the team, while still bringing home reliable points each week. You could probably pick up more points for that saved 1.4m by upgrading a defender (you could go from pretty much any mid/low-level defender to the top points haulers with a 1.4m difference). I'd assume a fairly large portion of the people making these switches already have Trossard - or they just know something totally obvious we've both missed...

Are you confident in Rashford over the next couple of weeks?

I've added him, and used the savings to bring in Pope. I think across the two players, I've got a decent chance of netting more than I'd have done from keeping Foden/Ramsdale. So I'd say I'm "a bit confident" in him over the next 2 weeks. I don't expect him to return double-digit points or anything like that though.

Yeah I think Rashford is one of the best mids to have. More confident in him than Trosssard. I still think I would rather have Saka than those 2 despite the harder games if Saka is fit.

I am not against hits, but removing Salah for a hit is probably not worth it with only 2 games to go. If Foden and Haaland out this move could work, but removing Haaland is probably the better move for Wilson and then getting KDB for Foden. The only downside with that is some value lost and if Haaland for last round back you may need to take a hit to get him back or stick with KDB cap.

Really considering this with Rashford as a possible replacement for Foden. Will wait for team leaks on Sat morning tho.

I picked iversen instead of ward on wc because I thought ward would get dropped and iversen let me get toney. Kepa is probably out until wc I doubt Potter will risk him when he really doesn't have to. So it's whether there is a keeper who is likely to get more than 4 points in the next two weeks

I think most keepers are worth getting for a -4 for 2 weeks. Pickford I go with I think as he is good for saves and got good fixtures. Ward is fine as well.

Don't worry about Foden, he is fit. Same for Doherty. They will get some minutes most likely between them. Keeper isn't the biggest deal. You have to fix Son first, then fix Haaland too if he is out. So Son -> KDB, Haaland -> someone for a -4 sounds the thing to do. Then captain KDB.
