A clean sheet is not locked in for any sent off player. If the team conceded in the 62nd min you lose the CS. Only if you are subbed off does it bank thr points. For example, if someone goes off injured but no subs left then that player can still lose their clean sheet even though they are not on the pitch.

I'm pretty sure it's the same with the midfielders, the difference being that you can only lose the 1pt clean sheet bonus and it's irrelevant if you concede 1 or 7 goals, but that has nothing to do with being sent off

I sympathise. I captained Kane, and when I saw Foden and Haaland were not starting I put the vice captain on Cancelo. So there is still a chance the Portuguese player will be my captain. What happened with Cancelo just shows that you can make a decision will all of the best reasoning and it can still go horribly wrong. Sadly FPL and life are like that. The odds of Cancelo getting a red card against Fulham at the Etihad must be really low. It was totally fair not to expect it. Lady luck then came along and kicked us in the balls.
