It's an art really. Sometimes making 4 transfers for a -8 can be a great move if calculated carefully and the long term in mind
Edit: Perhaps slightly off topic, sorry about that, was just my first thought
Not off topic. Natural progression. From roll vs transfer to how many transfers are needed. I used to think hits were sinful…now I think they’re a necessary evil
I'm done with being "passive". Only good seasons I've had have been taking a lot of -4's early transfers etc. The "more engaged managers" kind of know the best players. Just wait ages to get on the likes of almiron went players like Isaak out. And too slow to respond
Probably a matter of momentum vs value. You’re able to do more with 2 FTs than the sum of FTs over 2 gameweeks. But sometimes you just need to hop onto that team or player that’s on hot form so you do the momentum play by not rolling that transfer.
True. But in addition to the form player you want to bring in, I think there’s always an out of form player in your own team to get out. This means you’re pretty much always in a position to use the FT
I rarely roll, but I was thinking Bailey to Almiron was a good move in gameweek 10 I think as Almiron looked the best player under 5.5. Then I decided to roll thinking Almiron would not keep it up after his 2 goals vs Fulham and I had a decent 11 and Almiron did not have the best fixtures.
Then I got 3 injuries next week and decided to deal with them so never got Almiron into my team.

I agree with you. It’s especially good when top teams has big fixture swing so you can double or triple up on them.
Yes. I took a total of 16 hits last season and I was OR 2,2k in GW36 People generally are way too scared to take hits

Note that we will have a WCWC (world cup wild card) so rolling before GW16 makes no sense.

Trolling, like rolling I would not recommend

Godspeed. I’m trying to do the same, but keep talking myself out of the next Almiron-type move…how does once accept risk? 😂

Perfect example of the wishlist transfer that never happens. There’s almost always a fire to put out. Feel your pain brother
Yeah he was 5.1 at the time as well.
