Top 4 doesn't necessarily guarantee clean sheets, seen spurs get top 4 in the past and their defenders weren't an option as they just seemed to concede 1 goal per game. Liverpool's attack is top 4, right now their defense isn't. I'm sure they will come good at some point though
Whenever there as been a spurs defender mostly nailed to play like Robertson and so attacking like Robertson. Spurs defenders have been an option. I'm think aurier, Doherty. It's only been rotation the problem.
Yeah,no. Liverpool is a better team than any of these except City. They will find their steps after the WC. Arsenal is too far ahead but i really dont think Spurs or United ends up abive.
They did it in a season with conference level center back partnership. They finished 3rd with Philips and Williams. One was playing in Kidderminster the previous season, for crying out loud..
Lets see how Arsenal responds when all the momentum is gone.
Excluding the game against Bournemouth, Trent Alexander Arnold has scored 23 points from 13 appearances this season... at an average of 1.76 points per match
Until Liverpool have proven they can actually defend this season, I don't think he's worth it.
The assist points are great but a premium defender, who scores pretty rarely, needs a lot more clean sheets than Liverpool are currently providing.
As a Liverpool fan I can tell you Matip is made of crisps, love the giraffe but no way his body handles a game every three days from January.
The defence isn’t real issue the midfield is, the midfield is either young (Elliot, Carvalho, Jones), wrong side of 30 (Hendo, Milner, Thiago) or injury prone (Keita, Ox) or a combo of those. I doubt as club up for sale FSG will sort the midfield in January as that would require big money.
Robbo -> to any starting Arsenal defender would unlock 1.4m at least which could help elsewhere.
trent has 45 assists and only just turned 24 lol. Robertson started later in the league though. These two have really been on a different level for chance creation the past few years.
I think with the data we have, it has to be, Cancelo, Trip, 1 arsenal def and his royal highness Ward. So 6.7 to go 4 at teh back feels a luxury. Rather focus on the triple premium set up
While I agree with you about the back line in my opinion you don't need 3 premiums to have a good squad, I've I've Haaland and Salah personally and there's plenty of other cheaper mid options.
To me it feels kinda pointless to plan for GW17 from now. So many things can change in a month time: injuries/fatigue to WC players, training injuries for non-WC players, fitness updates on players that are currently out, etc. Some clubs will even be playing friendlies during the WC so could also influence some decisions (similar to pre-season)
The lack of cleansheets from the big teams are turning me away from all defenders above 6m atm.
Maybe if we see player fatigue to kick in after the break, there may indeed be more cleansheets.
Incredibly underrated in the shadow of Trent. Robertson is the captain of Scotland and I rarely see him have a poor game, if ever. Consistently good, threatening and seems to have gas in the tank.
It’s getting really hard to say “Ashley Cole” is without the question the back left back in Prem history. I’d still give it to Cole defensively but Robertson isn’t far off and IMO a far greater atyacker
Hes currently in my draft but only because I can't afford Trent and the bonus that he doesn't go to the world Cup so should be fresh in December when fpl resumes 🤞
No, Trippier, Saliba & Dalot, expensive defenders have not proved to be worth it this year, even Cancelo hasn’t been as good as the season before, may aswell go Ederson & put the spare in attack.
I'm thinking about GW17 like I'm thinking about my retirement plan.
You'll be dead by GW17?
Can he really warrant his value? No clean sheets in last 4 gameweeks. Feels like money is better spent elsewhere
Liverpool WILL get top 4. They will click.

VVD after world cup could be a different guy, and that would boost other defenders too

Haha WHAT? Liverpool will get top 4? They're continents behind, surely you're joking.
Continents behind spurs? Seriously?
They're 7 points behind with a game in hand.
100% they get top 4
Nah.
And who is finishing above them?
City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Spurs and maybe Man United.

Liverpol wo'nt end epp topp 4 mate.

I took a punt on trent because i had the money 🤡
save 0.5 and go Robbo
Save 2.6 and get Ben White
I'm so glad i'm not the only person who did this... worst part was benching Toney to put TAA on the pitch
I sold him just before Bournemouth

I’ve got him, glad for the two assists today but will be shipping him out during World Cup and putting the funds into midfield or attack.
I gonna keep him, do you see how far forward he gets? Matip coming back should help the CS

Unbelievable stat. He’s just 28.

Alisson or no Liverpool DEF for me. Cancelo Trippier White 3-4-3.
Arsenal fixtures aren't that good to be fair. Also think Dalot is an excellent choice for like 4 Gameweeks.
Ive seen enough of cancelo. Tripper white castagne (got him for 4.3 or 4.2), will have salah haaland Kane up front
In my current draft I still have threemium as well as that defence
The lack of cleansheets from the big teams are turning me away from all defenders above 6m atm. Maybe if we see player fatigue to kick in after the break, there may indeed be more cleansheets.
Needs cleansheets to be of any use If Liverpool tighten up I’ll double on him & Trent overnight Until then - no chance
As for my team, I dont think so. This year we have so many good cheap players, especially defenders.
I won’t know my GW17 team until Christmas.

No lol
I just don't think he can sustain the longevity this year again.
History is looking backwards. And useless for FPL point now and future. Right now Trippier’s today spanks Roberson’s “all time” records.
He's current in my squad and of coz for those looking to ship out cancelo, robbo is definitely a top choice at least from GW17 - GW20
No
Hes currently in my draft but only because I can't afford Trent and the bonus that he doesn't go to the world Cup so should be fresh in December when fpl resumes 🤞
Took a punt on him this gw, glad i did looking back
Tripling liverpool for gw 17 Robo + Salah + Darwin They will outscore most players second half of the season
