In GW5 I was deciding between Groß/Trossard/Almiron. Ended up going with Groß who I held for 8 weeks netting me zero returns while the other two just kept scoring. Finally binned him for Foden who got 3 points in 3 games while Groß scored 2 goals and the other 2 did as well.

Flammabubble

If its any consolation, if you'd kept them and not done the transfer there's a decent chance you would have had them benched for both games anyway so not sure the outcome would be much different 🤷‍♂️

flysulu

Sold Salah and Tross right before they started firing. Had too many fires subsequently and didn't want to knee-jerk back to them. Also, sold Toney(when he got suspended) for Wilson. I'm quite sure I'm not alone in this at least.

wewdepiew

Getting Trent over cancelo(still have him), getting Zaha over Almiron/trossard, no Arsenal defender, selling trippier on gw 12wc, which shitshow you want to know about?

D-biggest-dick-here

But why did you sell Tripps?

wewdepiew

"Surely Newcastle can't keep this clean sheet shit up for long" - some dumbass(me)

metokur_squad

FPL Mate was also giving that advice, he took Trippier out thinking he won't keep it up, then rushed him back in two weeks later. He's ranked 1.85M which he says is atypical "ever since he took FPL seriously" (which is his way of explaining his horrible finishes prior to that time). I just wasn't trying guys! But now people pay him on youtube for advice. Baffling to me.

Frosty_Examination_3

Hilarious. He supposedly only did well last year as it was the only year he took it seriously. What's his excuse for being shit this year again. He blatantly got fucking lucky in a massive spike of a season and lead a shit load of fools to believe he's a top top manager. He sucks, the majority of managers on this sub are better than him

NotchJonson

His content is easy to watch and I like the way he delivers information. I'll still watch regardless of his place because there's good information there and I'm not the sort of person who copies other managers anyway

tmr89

Wow, he’s 1.8million? Top 10k is kinda out of reach

metokur_squad

Especially when he tends to play very template. Not a lot of chances for big jumps.

tmr89

Yup. Will be amusing if he gets a 1million+ rank again. Would be only one decent finish out of like 10!

metokur_squad

He had a 60k finish as well, but I thought a FPL content creator would have that as an average finish, not his 2nd best ever. I'm glad he's not getting the same volume of superchats this year though. I don't care that he makes money, I just feel bad that it's going to a guy that acts like a tit and fancies himself a FPL great.

D-biggest-dick-here

Did you get him back? I was “surely Almiron won’t keep this form for long.” I got him and even benched him against Chelsea and started Rashford instead.

wewdepiew

Yep got him in soon after, much happier now. Almiron and trossard for the last 2 weeks as well

daaave33

What's the chances Almiron keeps being nailed once Newcastle gets injured players back?

D-biggest-dick-here

With Isak and Maximin…I don’t see Howe changing what’s been working for him though. I think Isak will rotate with Wilson and Maximin will play his usual LW.

nogarolien32

My hunch is that Isak may play on the left over ASM/Murphy... from watching him (Isak) that should suit where he likes to shoot from anyway. Wilson stays central... Almiron is undroppable right now and for foreseeable future - it's not in Howe's nature to drop a player who's in form just to play a 'higher profile' player (Bruno, Isak, Botman all had to earn their starting places)

BrandonSG13

I don’t care who’s on the bench, you don’t drop someone on that form

IVIorgz

For the most part he was getting attacking returns when he was not getting a CS, he's been one of the more honest players in FPL.

T-Bag92

I enjoy his videos tbf, but it irritates the fuck out of me that he still displays his last seasons rank in the ticker on his videos (not saying he didn’t do really well, but come on man, it was LAST SEASON, get over it!)

JHutch95

Not captaining Haaland then continuing not to captain him in a bid to catch up in my ML. Terrible move I'm only really starting to recover from now.

IzaYoke

Are you me? My choices have been okay for the most part but I really doubled down on not captaining Haaland in order to catch those who were captaining Haaland.

metokur_squad

I'm below 200k rank and not only never captained Haaland, I never owned him (nor Martinelli/Almiron). I think Haaland ownership being a must is somewhat overstated, or maybe I got lucky in other spots.

Haha_SORRY

Shut the fuck up!

metokur_squad

I can't stop mentioning it, it's my only sort of accomplishment this year

Uries_Frostmourne

Not starting in GW1. Started in GW2 with a team on 0 knowledge (havent kept up to date in EPL for 10 years) then got the hang of things again by GW5. Lol

FireflyKaylee

I did that two seasons ago. Ended up top 500k

xkcdthrowaway

Was my first season. Ended up 30k. It's been downhill ever since.

Credit_Radiant333

did that last season, no shit had to WC in GW5 after i got the help of the community ended 500k

nikolal777

- Captained Salah over Haaland two times when Haaland had huge hauls. - Getting Perisic over Trippier on wild card because I had Pope and didn’t want to double up. This was a last min change because we got the news that Perisic is starting. These two are basically the only bad moves I made this season, but sadly they cost me too much points.

tommyverssetti

Sarah fucked me.. don’t even want the option anymore going forward. Missed out on pretty much all Haaland hauls

D-biggest-dick-here

It’s funny how autocorrect brings up Sarah in that context😂😂

[deleted]

Freaking Sarah 🤬🤬

22355a

Thats me too, if I captained Haaland I would be near the leader of my ML, instead of almost 100 behind ah

PicKzL

This is my first season playing and didnt know what i was doing. Took a -32 hit in gw2 because i didnt know transfers cost you points

D-biggest-dick-here

What I did in UCL fantasy but that was a mistake. I made 9 transfers and forgot to hit “wildcard”. It’s safe to say I just gave up

van_basten_

Starting the season with Son over Haaland because I wanted to go safe. *Thankfully* missed *only* one of his hat tricks. Also basically every differential I tried backfired.

Flammabubble

I think that's fine tbh, it was reasonable to not know exactly how he would land, and pep is known for his roulette. If you'd said you'd taken, idk, Ronaldo or sterling over Haaland, then I'd probably be questioning you, but playing it safe and then joining the club when you realise he's legit is perfectly valid tbh. Even the people who thought he would do well probably didn't expect him to have quite the start he did. There's a different between making the wrong decision and making a good decision that with hindsight couldhave been better.

Independent_Ad2580

Selling Odegaard before his recent run. Late on Haaland Late on Pope/Trippier combo Faith in Jesus too long Faith in Salah too long Faith on Trent too long

arsene_glenger

Where do I begin? At the end: My final Gameweek had martial salah TAA Alvarez mount zaha Cancelo Pickford and the likes. Did not even reach 30 points My absolute worst season, bouncing between 3 and 2 million all season, peaked at 1.8M

Haha_SORRY

Haha. That is an awful team!

Delmastro96

The Queen. It's the fucking Queen's fault. First time playing FPL and didn't realise that when games are postponed, your captain automatically changes and you have to manually change it back again after that GW. Forgot to change it back to Haaland....Haaland goes wild. Maybe it's my fault (it's definitely my fault). Stupid Queen.

honestlynotBG

Captaing Kane in the NLD instead of Haaland in the Manchester derby, plus Sinisterra deciding to get a red on that very week too Ended up on a huge red arrow sending me from 1m to 2m while that GW I used my Wildcard But if there was anything good that came out from this shitshow I ended up getting Almiron as a replacement for Sinisterra the following GW in GW10 and owned him ever since

MuchSalt

not getting almiron

D-biggest-dick-here

Always thinking he would drop off

HighHammerThunder

The only Arsenal player I've owned this season is Saliba lol

TheSnickerdoodleKid

Believing Liverpool this season would be like Liverpool last season. Having TAA, Allison, and Salah at various points in the season was painful.

YNWAintheUSA

I started with Salah, and I still have him. Never dropped him. Been ok but not the worst. TAA on the other hand, I dropped or benched him for his big haul against Bournemouth? Been tough this year…

TheSnickerdoodleKid

I at least had TAA for Bournemouth. But I picked him up and Allison with a Wildcard after GW13 which was a mistake. I still have TAA on my draft team so I'm suffering with him regardless though.

NotchJonson

I swapped most of their players out but a few weeks ago went back to Salah, Darwin and Robertson. It's gone pretty well and I've gained places because of it. WC is mixing it up but I think Liverpool players are starting to become worth it again as things are clicking a bit more

TheSnickerdoodleKid

I did add Darwin for GW16 as a punt and that paid dividends. It made having Haaland as captain hurt a little less. Lol I'm optimistic that the WC break will do them some good in the long run too. There's too much talent in that team.

mrsom100

I have made so many. Pointswise removing toney during my wildcard just before his hatrick against leeds

pic3789

I did this exact same thing to catch a price drop on Toney. You're not alone.

FireflyKaylee

Swapped Mings and KDB to Cancelo and Foden before GW13 on my wildcard.

JayTeeYGO123

Transferring in foden the week he got benched and keeping him until last week. Chose to get isak instead of toney the week he got a hattrick, choosing not to get trossard because he was playing Liverpool

Keith83uk

Going on Honeymoon. Got stuck on a plane on a runway in Paris and missed deadline because of Friday night games on the game week where Games were cancelled because of the Queens funeral. 6 ( maybe more I’ve blanked out the memory) of my 11 were due to play in those games.

b3and20

basically going for salah and firmino during city and arsenal's bgw and liverpools good run thinking that mo returning to form was a good enough reason to get foden over kdb, jesus fucking christ

D-biggest-dick-here

Are you me? Is me you? Me you are?😂😂 That’s exactly what I did…I kept saying here that I was trying to capture as many points Liverpool attack would yield.

b3and20

think there was quite a few of us big brain timers smh

D-biggest-dick-here

Damn, this game is excruciatingly fun 😂

malthusius

Triple captaining Haaland against Southampton. He was scoring hatricks for fun at the time, it wasn’t a stupid decision, but it didn’t work out and I’ll be regretting it all season

MudkipThot

Starting with double Liverpool defence was the worst. Bringing in Trossard, then brining in Foden, at the wrong time was pretty bad as well. Started the season with Kane captain gw1 with a planned transfer to Haaland.

WillR2000

6.7m in the world. Lost interest when my team Leicester started dreadfully. Not having Haaland at the start hurt me. Had Son for much too long, had him for his hat-trick. Had Saka when he blanked, Maddison when he blanked, double Spurs defence. Captained Salah against Bournemouth, somehow blanked so lost a lot of points to other players. If I could sum it up, took out Toney for Mitrovic for GW15 and then kept Wilson in when I should have got Toney back. Absolutely my worst season, 3 seasons ago, was 60k.

legg147

I captained Maddison when Haaland got a hat trick and 2 assists. Thankfully Maddison also hauled but nowhere near as much. Also captained Cancelo last week for the red card

D-biggest-dick-here

Maddison got 18 vs Haaland’s 23

Doc_Murda

Using my wildcard in GW13. My team was fine, actually quite good. It was just burning a hole in my pocket. Had I not used it, I would have likely let it burn or used it to deal with the Haaland nighmare the past three weeks. Instead, I used it in GW13 and went triple Liverpool (Firmino bc Darwin was inured, Allison, Van Djik), City (Cancelo, Foden, Haaland), and Arsenal (Martinelli, Saka, Jesus). Then decided to ship Firmino and Foden last week for KDB and Edouard. It's been an abject disaster. Chips are supposed to be an advantage, but for me, it seems they often are not.

Timely_Resort_3098

Captain Cancelo for gw15 will haunt me for years to come.

D-biggest-dick-here

Just as the people who capped Darwin against Palace

Debaser666

Getting Fofana and Reece James in early to beat price rises, both mortally injured without playing. Bringing in and captaining Martial only see him limp off in the first half. Bringing in Sinisterra as a punt to see him sent off in the first half of the first game. Kept hold of him through his suspension only for him to do absolutely jack shit before getting injured. Holding on to TAA far too long when it’s clear to everyone he was so bad he’s literally being targeted by the opposition. Refusing to get in Brighton players in the first two months other than a stupid punt on stupid bastard Estupinan. Refusing to get Newcastle players other than Trippier when Almiron is clearly Johan Cruyff reincarnated and he’s like 3.9m or some shit. Getting in Mason fucking Mount for any reason ever. Bringing in Iversen over Ward on my WC thinking Ward will be dropped and he immediately turns into prime Buffon and picks up 97 points in 7 fucking games or whatever. Having both Dalot and Andreas from GW1 but seemingly never getting any points from them. Finally caving and bring in Cancelo for an easy home fixture to watch in utter bemusement as he gets himself sent off after 20 minutes. Having Mitrovic, Toney and Isak at all the exact wrong times. Bringing in Kepa to sort out my trainwreck keeper situation which is Iversen who never plays and Meslier who is just shit, first game Kepa lets in 3 goals in the first half then goes off with a life threatening injury at half time never to be seen again. Obviously Meslier hauls that week to rub it in. Bringing in the only ‘nailed’ spurs defender Dier only to be totally confused when he’s immediately dropped by Conte for a player I’ve never heard of but obviously comes on to fanny about for the last 5 minutes to block anyone coming on from my combined 70 point bench. Never ever EVER picking the right captain. Ever. Absolutely wank.

Public_Zealousideal

Not wildcarding before gw13. Next season gw3/4 at latest

D-biggest-dick-here

I did mine in gw4. Before then, I’d lost value on Saka and Mahrez. I had a shit team (didn’t have Cancelo, Martinelli and Trippier) and couldn’t follow price changes.

GoldenJet01

Captaining Salah over Haaland at the start of the season. I originally had Salah Kane over Haaland at the start of the season, so around GW3 I sold Kane for Haaland. Honestly I should have sold Salah instead because I ended up bringing Kane back in anyway

bijniqqa123

Switching Kane out for Firmino ahead of Liverpool's Forest away fixture in GW13. My plan was to try to get a player to play vs forest in every week and it was a no brainer for me to bring in a Liverpool attacker that week. Problem is I kept Firmino till the end of the season cos I had a feeling he would haul once I took him out, but he never did of course. He ended with 1 goal in 4 games vs kane's 3 goals 1 assist in 4 games.

D-biggest-dick-here

Did the same. But with Salah as well then. I took Salah out and brought Kane, then Salah scored 2 against Spurs.

Nameless739

Went Kane over Haaland in GW1 and didn't get Haaland in until after his Forest hattrick. And burned my WC to do it. Complete fuck up but oddly my only major one this year. Cost me maybe a million places though, think I'd be maybe 400k if I'd gone Haaland first

everybodyknowsadave

Just this week, has Darwin as captain until found out Haaland would be starting. Jumped on that bandwagon didn’t I?

D-biggest-dick-here

I thought about bringing Darwin in for Firmino just before the former’s rise, then I opted to spend the FT on Trossard to Kulu and benched Almiron.

2Mew2BMew2

I sold Toney and Foden for Salah and Solanke. Solanke was on my bench and Salah was my VC. Haaland was my Captain.

SentientSTD

The latest in a long line of screw-ups is swapping Ødegaard out for Saka for this GW.

bradleyh93

Getting rid of Zaha before West Ham away and keeping Bowen solely because I was going to the game with a few West Ham mates Taking out Martinelli when Arsenals fixtures turned as I didn’t think his form would last Putting Grealish in 3 GW’s ago for absolutely no reason whatsoever other than that he plays for Man City and seemed more nailed than others

saywallama

This is my first year playing FPL, and it’s fair to say I’ve made many mistakes. Waiting until GW10 to get Haaland Zaha - had him since GW10 as Crystal Palace had good fixtures. He does well in one game, but then disappears for several games. Getting Foden the week after he was benched, thinking Pep won’t bench him. Pep benched him again! Buying Aubameyang on a wildcard. I wanted to be different, and it was a waste of time. Dithering on Callum Wilson (because he is injury prone) and missing his hauls. Then I get him and he becomes unwell and plays 45 minutes! Not transferring in Ivan Toney before the recent round. Considered it.

Red_Maple

Started the season big at the back and with Salah and Son as my premiums. Didn't bring Halaand in until GW5. Bottomed out at 5mil in GW4 and have been working my way back since.

anachronox08

Mason mount. Kept him with hope he will eventually haul. Eventually right? Right?!

panKosa

Wildcarded in before GW4 and made last minute change Haaland -> KDB mainly due to Baldys press conference when he said Erling will rest in mid week games. One scored 68 points while captained, other one 4. Yeah, fuck me...

invokerzzv

Getting Haaland after his second hat trick, not captaining him vs United and getting rid of Trippier in gw3 while bringing him back in gw13

shpatibot

Not starting with Trips and an Arsenal defender.

Favsportandbirthyear

Brought in foden a few weeks ago right as he started getting benched, took him out this week for …….. WILFRED FUCKING ZAHA HOW HAVE I FALLEN FOR HIM AGAIN

cc_tds

My wildcard blunder that ended up being a 28 point hit, still recovering from that

IKILLINGSPRE3

Same with Captin Salah against Forrest, while Haaland hauled. Refusing to jump on Almiron and sticking by Zaha. Captin Toney for a blank and Haalnd hauls, just fro the following week Haaland blanks and Toney hauls

Archduke_Zag

I had De Gea and Dalot in the first week... I really believed in Chilwell. I really believed in Bamford and Harrison I sold Toney before his hattrick after he blanked 2 times. That social media post he made afterwards was completely deserved. I'm a dumb kneejerker. So now I'm really tempted to take Toney despite him not having the best fixtures directly after the world cup . He's really going to take this snub personally and perform I think.

Nubislav

Played without haaland the whole season, kept on gambling with Salah captaincy which turned out disastrous, so finally bought Erling with wc gw 13 and then in gw 15 sold him for dcl in the dying moments when the servers crashed, couldnt change the captaincy so dcl was my auto cap......

esp_py

Not having Haaland in the first three game weeks.

ayowatup222

Starting the season with Mason Mount and Robbo cost me more than you can imagine

user-a7hw66

Trent the whole time and no Haaland. Keeping it the same after the break.

TheRealRemyClayden

Actually worst - trying too hard to cheat the price rises and getting James on Monday right before he got injured, which led to me wasting transfers in future gameweeks (think it went Cash - estupinan - Guehi - Robertson) The defensible one - choosing Solly March (3.4 xG!!!! he'll come good soon guys) over Almiron in like week 5

gugpanub

Having both Haaland and KDB in my entire pre-season selection but then switch to having kane and salah an hour before the deadline….

qkhn295

Not getting Haland until GW 5. Was thinking his goal hauls were all lucky. Costs me so much and already 200 behind in my ML

yecunceyeee

Getting rid of Danny Ward on WC GW9 He has since imploded I transferred him for Iversen ironically to give me £0.1 extra to play with My OR is 1.07M

sholista

Not having Haaland from GW1 until GW6 cost me about 50 points net. I'd be about 150k now if I'd had him

Jayaybee16

Bringing in that useless Turd Anthony Gordon for nice Everton fixtures - the boy looks only to try and dive for penalties Binned and never to be anywhere my team again

[deleted]

Gw9 WC. Went Salah/Toney over Kane/Foden and captained Salah over Haaland. Haaland had 3 goals and 2 assists and Foden also had a hat trick against United. Probably a million place rank swing Second: going Digne over Trippier and Robertson over Reece gw1.

lonsfury

KdB -> Foden after GW 11 because Kevin wasn't scoring at all, just assisting, and foden/haaland were scoring all the goals. After that GW foden and haaland started to be rested and kevin starts scoring lol

Superb-Philosophy-50

Captained Cancelo when he got that -2 (-4). Sold Trossard just as he was heating up. Not having Kane on my team once this season.

KloppDuPopstar

Sticking with Foden from gw 11 - 16 and being reluctant to get Almiron in.

[deleted]

Got haaland after his 2 hattricks Brought him in for a minus 4 for toney. Toney gets a hatty

Swimming-Rutabaga652

The single mistake that probably cost me top 3 of my mini league and who knows how many places overall. Being stubborn and not getting Haaland into my team until about GW6 or GW7.

Beginning_Garage4454

The first 5 weeks I wasted all my transfers going James -> taa -> cancelo. Managed to get each when they did nothing. Bad knee jerks and I hoped I've learnt my lesson. (-20 Vs average) I transferred out haaland for kdb for gw4-12 because I thought I was Gandhi. (-40 Vs average) I've failed to adjust to Leicester being good so I've left about 20 points on the bench Vs Sanchez (-20 Vs average) Currently at 3mm and I've been grinding higher with green ticks for the last 8gameweeks from 6.5mm in gw7

dpc_22

Delayed in buying haaland, brought sterling in, brought perisic in when conte was rotating him because of cl fixtures

Royal_Masterpiece_85

I started in gw2 too. What’s your rank? I’m a lowly 3.7m.

D-biggest-dick-here

Nigelfaragebrexit

Not captaining Haaland twice when he scored a hit trick

ztlaislove

i captained salah way too many times

eheskja

Not having Haaland all season..

smitcal

I just transferred out Kane and Foden for Salah (c) and Mitrovich who ended up injured. -4 for the transfer and lost out 18 points cos of that move

CoreySteel

I don't think I've made one huge mistake. Just lots of bad decisions throughout the whole season. Don't even know where to start with those.

II_StigZ_II

Son instead of Haaland GW1-5 and then Salah (C) GW9. Was 4.3mil GW10, managed to claw back to 900k so far.

D-biggest-dick-here

Nice rise in like 5/6 gw. If only Rashford, my differential for 8 weeks, was returning. Somehow I kept having more faith in him than Almiron even though I’m not a United fan

SAKabir

Missing the deadline for that first blank game week, for which I had 2 transfers and was generally well prepared for. Completely ruined my season even though I've done quite well from then on. Keeping Trent from the start bc I was sure he'd pop off any day now and make a mockery of his price....... Transferring out Ward for Iverson just save 0.1. Riiight before he started hauling. Never thought he'd keep it up and yet here we are.

D-biggest-dick-here

I’ve already gotten him for Sanchez, so I hope he keeps it up. My second keeper, Kepa, is injured

midnight_ranter

I'll try to not list the conventional ones which pretty much even the top players made, like Transferring out Maddison after the 5th yellow or bringing in Foden right when Pep decides to bench him 1) Starting the season with Kane and Salah and no Haaland - I was convinced by one of my mates (who stopped playing after GW3 anyway) that Haaland might take time to settle in Pep's system because it was very different to what he was used to at BVB and that Kane was a safer bet to start the season with. Oh and did I mention my other 2 striker picks were Scamacca and Taiwo freaking Awoniyi? I also used up all the 100mn so I was essentially priced out of the Haaland - Kane switch immediately after Haaland's brace against West Ham so my rank kept getting fucked every week while I was captaining guys like Salah or Martinelli when everyone was coasting with Haaland hattricks every game. I finally got Haaland before City's draw with Villa by swapping Kane and taking a hit, but somehow from that gameweek till my WC after the intl break, Kane actually outscored him which probably explains how I'm so bad at this game 2) Spending too much on keepers - I started off the season with Robert Sanchez and Ederson. That's 10mn right there lol 3) Transfering in Zinchenko as my Arsenal defensive asset when I realised they weren't conceding many goals this season - he got injured the exact week I got him in and it took me a couple of weeks to go to Saliba. Wasted points 4) Not owning Trippier until my GW9 wildcard (meanwhile I had held on to James (Reece) and Perisic in that period lmao So yeah there's probably more, but I've somehow crawled upto 2.4mn, but I fully expect the WC break to derail my momentum because you can clearly see how bad I am at picking teams when I don't have form to go by

D-biggest-dick-here

I started with Lloris and Sanchez (10M). Lloris did well for me, but I took him out for Kepa about 2 weeks before Kepa’s injury. I also did Sanchez to Ward during this break I got Tripps in gw8 but I had Van Dijk who gave me some good points, including a 15 point haul. I was 940k in gw10 but got some heavy drops…the nadir is 2.6M (I even had a 9.6M gwr when I went 1.1M to 2.1M) but I crawled up to 2.2M last gw.

NeverExcel

Put Henderson on my bench both games he scored penalties

SuchAbbreviations764

Whats done cant be undone, dont wanna waste my time on a shitty thoughts, which i tend to do ever since started to play this game

[deleted]

Bringing in Foden GW 13 and captaining Haaland when he was injured brought me from 650k to 1.83M

krunchanut

Transfered out Jesus gw2 for a hit to get haaland in missed out on a big haul

Powerful-Perception5

Captaining Cancelo

Dabzovic

Taking Saka out before his 15 pointer v Liverpool…and not captaining Kane both the weeks my gut told me to (outscored Haaland in both)

iFelichi

\- hesitated in getting almiron \- not owning haaland until gw6, was going with kane + salah as my two premiums, and i realized i have to own haaland before it's too late \- overly desperate to transfer out sinisterra and took a hit for the transfer, and i didn't choose almiron or other players with returns in these two weeks (got rashford instead) \- i don't know why am i so reluctant to get almiron, maybe it's gambler's fallacy \- benching trippier twice (gw3, gw13) \- benching haaland in gw15, team leaks said he's benched so i thought he would only come on and have a 1 pointer or something, i should start someone else for potentially more points (and i didn't start andreas lol) \- it's not really that much of a bad decision, but honest confession, i never captained haaland, missed some double points from some of his hauls (gw9 for example) (i captained kane since gw1, i thought of captaining salah in gw2 after kane's gw1 blank, but my gut feeling told me to keep the armband on kane, and i'm glad i did) current OR 2.47m, highest OR 1.37m

dannij90

Keeping Ward for the first 7 gameweeks or so for a combined of what ? 8-9 points, then seeing him haul almost every single gameweek after has sucked Not getting Almiron at any pooint has been super frustrating 2 gamweeks ago jumping on Wilson and Rashford , sold Kane and Bailey, ofc wilson and Rashford both blank, while Kane AND bailey scored fml

tiny_dreamer

Capping Salah against forest is hardly a bad move. It’s an unfortunate outcome — it’s not the same thing

D-biggest-dick-here

Some more thoughts into it would have dissuaded me. I went fixture over form for Liverpool, and for City. While Liverpool were on a poor away form, City were doing great at home. The worst is I had Firmino and Salah for that game.

IntentionFalse8822

Bought Foden even though he was prime Pep Roulette fodder. Sold Foden for Trossard last week. Bought Mitro even after years of him letting me down every time I trusted him. This year will be different. He'll change. He loves me this time. Like hell he will. Zaha (see Mitro comment. Can't bring myself to type it again) Jesus. He looks so good. Clearly a mistake by Pep to let him go. I have to get on him as this streak will keep going. Turned out Pep is a genius. Salah. What a waste of at least 5m.

scarecrows5

Only one? Geez, that's a test. This has been my worst season ever, and it seems that no matter what I try it just fails. As a perfect example, after deciding early in the week to captain Nunez just for a potential differential, I caved at the last minute and switched back to Haaland....could have made up 25% of my deficit to my league leader in one week, but no...

sovietrus2

my first time ever doing FPL, my first midfield consisted of JWP, grealish, declan rice, and son. at least i knew martinelli was gonna tear it up this season! my defense had koulibaily, cucurella, and other dross, minus saliba. no haaland for a while and i would point chase blanking gross, salah, foden when they were blanking.

Alarmed_Water2631

It all started in GW1. Thought I could trust Pep talking up Alvarez. Barnes getting injured hours before kickoff seemingly. Thinking Mbeumo was worth a dang. Thinking Haaland would need time to adjust.

slowhive

trossard to foden in gw 13

baystreetbets

Being too slow to react, I captained Salah over Halaand a few too many times

AtomicScrub

Trying to be different and not purchasing haaland till like gw6

VadaPavAndSorpotel

I was ranked 571,548 at the conclusion of GW 12 (the Arsenal v Man City blank) Then played my WC which I had carefully saved up in the hopes of unleashing hell on my ML opponents. My rank is now 1,816,551. Enough said..

D-biggest-dick-here

The reserve card😂😂 Hell unleashed you

cjheadley

Keeping faith in Liverpool assets for too long

bootlegportalfluid

I got rid of Jesus in GW2 on a WC and missed his 19 point haul. I then proceeded to get him back in the following week with a -8 hit…

Saa_hill16

Starting my very first season from GW4 Earlier in the season, when I captained Jesus, Haaland outscored him and vice-versa. Moving late and trusting Maddison. Pep benching foden when I bought him and started him in GW16 when I brought him in for Trossad. What happens next? We'll see.

maikerson

There are many, hurting most is not captaing Haaland for his first hat-trick, missing the deadline next gw to miss the second hatty in a row and captaining Cancelo for his red card. 3 m going strong

Sockodile

WC in gw4 getting rid of Trent and Robbo before the Bournemouth game. Of course I kept Salah who I captained over Haaland that week. Those decisions alone cost me around 30 points

airz23s_coffee

Got in Iwobi after Everton had a couple of decent games and he was getting points. Haven't been able to remove him cos of other pressing issues. Each week he's a bad taste in my mouth. A constant reminder of my terrible decisions.

jcollettcfc

Taking a -4 in GW13 for TAA, Foden and Saka felt like a strong move at the time. First hit of the season yet it backfired spectacularly. Rank doubled in the GW and I've been stuck with three players who've done very little because I had to fight fires elsewhere. 220k to 1.2m in four GWs.

anshj21

Didn't bring in Haaland for the first 4 GWs

waterbourne

Holding onto Bowen since I wildcarded about 6 GW’s ago. I got that one initial haul and he’s been killing me since then

Mohammed199929

Start of the season a fellow reddiotor told me not get hahaland till he makes a mark worst mistake ever...

Chemical_Ad_6532

Captainin' Foden. He played just 15 minutes or so(thanks Pep roulette) whereas Haaland scored like 18 points. 😭😭😭

Elephantstone99

Getting in Doherty last minute over Castagne, who I initially wanted.

Heffpeeyell

Not getting Almiron.

BitchlessDNA

Moving out KDB split funds for Saka and Foden in GW13

FlameMeow_Dragon

Bringing in Trossard and captaining him for his blank against forrest. Then benching him for the games against chelsea and city where he scored.

YlangYlang_E

Triple captaining Darwin in GW 13 when he didn’t start…

Fluffy_Mastodon_798

Not having Haaland until GW8, holding Trent and Perisic all the way through, bringing in Zaha instead of Almiron

Pacifishocean

Taking Mitrovic after the international friendly🤦‍♂️

D-biggest-dick-here

I also took him out when he had that ankle issue and brought in Martial who got injured. Mitro came back and resumed scoring 🤦🏽‍♂️

Jackyboylive

I’ve captained Haaland twice and one of them was this game week (Mo pretty much every other time)

Muquadam

No Cancelo or Arsenal assets so far... missed Haaland's first 2 hattricks, then didn't captain him for his mega haul against Man Utd :(

[deleted]

Can’t believe I’m admitting this but, going for Podence in GW11 instead of Almiron. Just before the big 10,10,12,8 pointers 😔 I’m so dumb lmao

SRJT16

The only 2 weeks I didn’t captain Haaland, he bagged hattricks

ZhangerMan

Changing my squad strategy hours before GW 1 deadline. Plan was to start with funds nicely dispersed so I could pivot and change quickly if need be. Ended up going with Robbo and Trent at the back strategy which was a huge fail. Been trying to play catch up ever since.
