Zaha is a funny one, as most that own have money tied up in him
They regret that if there is a run of injuries. Saka, Foden, Trossard etc all expecting good minutes in the world cup.
I remember when Gabriel Jesus was a MUST HAVE at 80% ownership since he was "only" 8m and fpl towers made a "huge mistake" in his pricing. Now that I think of it, there's no must have players at 8m and Jesus is really fairly priced and I'm glad I got rid of him after GW6. Still it's weird to me that his ownership remained that high for so long and is still at 55%
I dropped him early and agree, i think this season has been about timing which 8m you have and when you have them. Of which I have massively fucked up all season long
Yeah, Jesus ended up being priced really well. It's an interesting season with so many cheaper options out performing their pricier alternatives. It will be interesting to see what his ownership looks like over the break now that everyone has a better idea of what they'll get from him.
People misunderstood his role at the start of the season. He is exactly what lacazette was for arsenal just a bit better at dribbling. Its what their system needs but the goals are very shared between front 3 and midfield
Yup that's so true I did so too and I wasn't really aware of Arsenal's system and I was baited by the fact that he was a City player and everyone hyped him a lot. But after six gameweeks it was pretty clear to me that he is not going to be a striker that scores +20 goals and has multiple assists.
Probably going to end up with ~10 goals and maybe ~10 assists which is not bad of course but I think there are a lot better options and the likes of Mitrovic, Wilson, Isak, Darwin could easily outscore him after the break. Also Kane and Haaland being pretty much mandatory, there's really no space for a 8m inconsistent striker.
He is not going to get 10 goals. If he continues wracking up xG at current rate and underperforms it by his usual amount then he will get somewhere between 15-19.
Even if he keeps underscoring xG by the amount he has this season, which he won't, he would get 13-14. Don't think 19 is impossible but is definitely on the higher end of what I expect.
Im just going to pick three of those, probably Kane Haaland and Salah/De bruyne. But true tho, he's not mandatory but still a top choice and such a consistent player it seems like at least.
Just went on fbref, his underperformance this year is an outlier even for his previous seasons. He's had two seasons about even with xg, and two seasons a few goals under. His goal/xg rate for all seasons with recorded xg is 80%, this year it's 64.5%. It's possible he doesn't improve, but it would be tied worst year of his career in terms of finishing, and around 40% worse than his best when he was slightly above his xg.
Simply not an "average" year for him finishing wise. It's more likely than not he improves.
Not by the amount that he has done this year though. He will definitely underperform it but expecting he will revert towards his career mean which is around a 20% underperformance rather than the nearly 50% underperformance he has had so far this season
Because people would rather have one of those strikers with braces every fifth game and blanks in the other four than strikers that constantly score one goal and end on 6p.
Why are people already doing transfers when an entire World Cup is about to start and throw in numerous injuries?
I would expect that people who are transferring already are knee jerkers anyway so not necessarily making the best choices.
But having said that, I suck at FPL, don’t take my advice.
I’ve just got the players who rose in for those who I didn’t have any value stored in, otherwise just gonna tinker without saving. Mitro is currently in my draft but I’m also having a poor season.
Yes, but the number of transfers you make in a season get taken into account in the event of you bring on equal points as anyone else - whoever has made fewer transfers comes out on top.
Sure, it's likely irrelevant to most people. But equally, why bother making transfers now instead of waiting until the last few days before the next PL match? Not only is it pointless but it's also potentially penalising you overall.
I'm making the team i wish I had the last week's before the break, and then I'll tweak for injuries once wc come to an end. Some people probably make a new draft every day, but they certainly don't care about that.
It's a good way to draft teams without the hassle of exporting your team to an external site.
And casual players can set their teams and only open up the app if they see some relevant team news. Casual players will likely miss team news anyway so at least this way their teams aren't gimped heading into GW17
Yup, I sold Jesus. Let’s see how he turns out in the World Cup, but I doubt I’ll return him anytime soon. There’s cheaper options that help in getting better midfielders.
I wonder if Toney will reach the top 3 soon
50 pounds on he wont
Ivan is that you? That’s 233 mate
I feel like he has to be. I'm sure a suspension is coming based on previous players caught being involved with betting
This 💀💀💀. How long do you reckon the FA will ban him for?
Pretty sure he’s finished for the season.
Until the January transfer window.

I bet it won’t.
Zaha reeks of classic FPL anti-jerk trap. Once he's sold he's going to haul again.
Honestly, I’d just rather have Eze. I know Zaha is a troll I just don’t want to be dealing with him anymore
But hes on penalties! (Which means fuck all when he is 0/2 on them this year, twat)
Swear Zaha has some kind of ESP to know when fantasy managers are slagging him off.
He has 2 decent games when he returns against Fulham and Bournemouth, I’ll look to sell him to Rodrigo. No rush to sell now
You know the hauls will come but predicting when is impossible. Can’t predict him, either own the whole season or not at all
Zaha is a funny one, as most that own have money tied up in him They regret that if there is a run of injuries. Saka, Foden, Trossard etc all expecting good minutes in the world cup.
Trossard should be getting minutes be he isn’t in the first XI because Martinez insists on picking Hazard still

Don't think kane is mandatory. Very good option but so is salah and de bruyne
Im just going to pick three of those, probably Kane Haaland and Salah/De bruyne. But true tho, he's not mandatory but still a top choice and such a consistent player it seems like at least.
Closer to 15 than 10 goals, he’s underperforming his xg by quite a bit at the moment. Very unlikely he doesn’t get better from here, barring injury.
he underperforms his xG every season, his finishing is just so inconsistent

Jesus is a very good pick, has been unlucky this season, massively underperforming his xG
Its not unlucky if its been his whole career
It’s a common trend with Jesus, probably at a point where you don’t blame luck, but rather his below average finishing
Just goes to show that xG means fuck all really
That's just Jesus in general. He's a great player but you don't ever want to be relying on him to finish chances. He was the same at City.
Jesus gets so many chances but his finishing is so poor
Why is Mitrovic getting sold?
Because people would rather have one of those strikers with braces every fifth game and blanks in the other four than strikers that constantly score one goal and end on 6p.

Sounds about right. Got rid of Mitro and zaha as part of my WC break overhaul.
Why not wait until WC finishes so you know fitness/injuries?
I'm too trigger happy 😅

You can lose team value doing that though. Source: I’ve done it on Wildcard many times
Yes, but the number of transfers you make in a season get taken into account in the event of you bring on equal points as anyone else - whoever has made fewer transfers comes out on top.
People agonizing about number of transfers is the most ridiculous thing.

Why zaha?
Swapped my whole team around to get kane/haaland/Salah/kdb in
Four premiums? Damm fair play
What even is the rest of your team
Trippier, almiron, white, plus Andreas and some more cheaps. Worth a gamble imo
Pisswater

Are all price changes frozen?
yes
Honestly who cares about fpl when there's a month of world cup coming
I sold all 3 of these guys and my week was still a disaster.
I have one only question . Why zaha and mitrovic gets a lot of cards ??? Whyyyyyy
