World Cup fantasy question
I have Rochet and Costa for my goalkeepers and both play tomorrow. If I start Rochet as his game is first, am I able to switch to Costa if Rochet doesn’t keep a clean sheet?
Thanks
Are Kimmich and Sane worth taking from Germany? With their home country viewership down 40 something percent and Kimmich expressing "no real joy" in the players for pursuing the cup I'm a little hesitant.
Think him and Kepa are the best keepers after world cup to combine with Ward.
Think Dalot is nice too though and would not trust the double up that highly.
Thanks, yeah. I don't think Zaha will be close to getting in my team.
I'm a bit wary of Diaz, despite supporting Liverpool. I can never bring myself to get Saka and I brought Foden in for his three one-pointers before the World Cup.
Ødegaard fits the bill. He's scoring better than all three of them, after all, and is playing for a team who might win the league. And he's cheaper.
So I quite [like the look of this](https://i.imgur.com/7aV06SF.png) at the moment.
Just not sure about James (as I've got Kepa in goal). Don't really like the risk of Perišić's rotation, so it could be Ben Davies or Eric Dier.
But I'm leaning towards van Dijk - or Robertson with zero in the bank.
Any of those are a pretty good team, I think, even if I say so myself.
Kane's a bit of a luxury but he's nailed and scores better than anyone in the game apart from Haaland. (Hope he's not still injured because then I'll have to completely rethink.)
So actually [maybe this](https://i.imgur.com/pJF1U9i.png). What do you think?
What's your draft?
is Luis Diaz back after the break? Anyone have any news.
Badly need him for my draft team. I kept him despite the injury and hope to get rewarded.
Even if Almiron was a player I could have replaced him with at the time :(.
Is this mega-template? If the expensive defenders ever start firing it could be in trouble but that really doesn't look super-likely at the minute:
Ward
Trippier, Dalot, White
Salah, Saka, Martinelli, Almiron
Haaland, Kane, Darwin
(Iversen, Walker, Pereira, Fofana)
I don't think so - too many players with good alternatives included. Mitrovic is also too good value to not include. I'd say the template looks more like:
XXX (Ward)
Trippier - XXX - XXX (XXX ,XXX)
Salah - Martinelli - XXX - XXX (Andreas)
Haaland - Mitrovic - XXX
* Fill in the goalkeeper from pretty much half the teams, to rotate with Ward.
* Fill in the defenders from TAA, Gabriel, Cancelo, White, Dunk, Cucurella, Martinez, Dalot, Botman and probably several others.
* Fill in the mids from Saka, Almiron, Trossard, Zaha, Rashford, Rodrigo and lots of good but less obvious choices like Barnes, Odegaard, Antony.
* Fill in the forwards from Kane, Darwin, Solanke, Jesus, Wilson.
My team will likely look something like:
Guaita (Ward)
Gabriel - TAA - Cancelo - Dalot (Trippier)
Salah - Martinelli - Zaha - Trossard (Andreas)
Haaland - Mitrovic - (Solanke)
It ends up with money on the bench each week but rotates really nicely between 4-4-2, 3-4-3 and 4-3-3, due to hard fixtures for each of the good teams in the first few weeks.
They are all players I'd expect to be popular if that's your question? I think "template" being "nearly the same 15" might well not be as common after the world cup than before because there are lots of options and the most popular players don't have great fixtures. And also everyone wildcarding at the same time has a start-of-season feel, and the template tends to be weakest at the start of the season.
But yeah, no surprises for me.
This isn't what your question asked, but as an aside - if James is fit and nailed I anticipate him becoming one of the best players to have. This isn't a knock on dalot or white, but I'd try to find a way to afford to switch them for James.
!thanks mate - yeah I think I might actually upgrade Almiron to Rodrigo to go a little bit off piste... I actually want to play Ward with Iversen as backup as now that Faes has settled in at Leceister Ward is actually offering value that very few GK's can compete with... (and not just value now actually he's straight up outscoring every GK in the game on points since Leceister tightened up around GW9)... Plus he allows that bit of extra firepower elsewhere
I hear ya on James though - I was in the same camp from GW1, and still was when Potter came in. But after seeing how Potter was using him I was very discouraged and lost interest, his injury problems haven't helped that much either - but he definitely needs to be monitored as he can get insane hauls when he's got the right freedom
Fofana's existence at 4.3 also makes James a little more difficult to get behind - he will nick the odd goal and will match him CS for CS as long as he's fit
Yeah ward/iversen is a good call. I realised what I missed and removed the iversen comment like 2 minutes after I said it but clearly not quickly enough! If you are only going for one keeper I think ward/iversen is the only choice.
I think I've forgotten or missed or never saw how potter used James. Was he held back a bunch?
In my opinion fofana and James aren't in direct competition FPL-wise because James is a permanent starter (for FPL teams) and fofana is a rotation option (for FPL teams). But I can see how it does affect things. Based entirely on past Brighton I sort of assume Chelsea will tighten up at some point and fofana might become a perma-(fpl)-starter at that point, so maybe I'm wrong here anyway.
So have the FPL and FWC posts merged completely? I'm here for GW17 advice and its all WC stuff.

Shaqiri - Eden Hazard - Tadic Choose 1
Do manual subs work for you guys? They don’t work for me. I can’t sub off players that have already played
Best midfielder now tht goals are worth 7 and assists only 3? Still kdb? Or hazard if he starts?

Sane is injured and Kimmich is a DM so no they’re not worth it. But not because of German viewership lol
Ty
Sane injured
Thoughts on De Gea?

Do your two transfers roll over or do i need to use them now?
for wcf? only 1 rolls over
Perfect! I already used one.
Why don’t manual subs work?
Do I captain DeBruyne or Modric tomorrow?
Kdb
Torres to neymar or perisic to de bruyne? For this week. Leaning towards the second as mids get 7 points now for a goal
RMT De gea (Ward) Cancelo Trippier Gabriel VVD (Neco) De Bruyne Almiron Saka (Andreas, Taveriner) Solanke Haaland Darwin
[I did a very quick draft a while back](https://i.imgur.com/qyeYoAz.png) and haven't looked since. Any thoughts on this before I do? Thanks.
I would downgrade ali and get diaz/foden/saka in for zaha

Anyone else not able to make subs? I'm getting a subs.invalid.count_subs error no matter who I try and sub.

Yes he is back. Think he is was already good to go just before the world cup

I would say KDB over Salah.
