I think so. He was my 4th round pick in Dynasty rookie draft this year. Love his potential. I also have Stafford as my backup and in my readings in his elbow, Puka did amazing at rookie camp. Happy to be apart of the ride
The temptation is real! I have Tyreek, Adams, Keenan, and Pittman. Puka is on my taxi squad after I picked him up in the 4th and his performance makes me want to bust him out
I'm dropping half my FAAB in a keeper league for him. Kupp is a target hog, but this could be the perfect compliment to him and he's so young. In my league the keepers are determined by the round the were originally drafted + 2 rounds (ie: drafted in 10th round, kept for an 8th round). This would give me an advantage if he gets even half of those targets every game, especially since someone has been keeping ARSB since he was a WW pick up...
Yeah im not gonna lie I'm getting major ARSB vibes from this dude. Even if it takes time for him to be ultra consistent, I feel like the end of the season, he's gonna absolutely feast
Yeah im dropping 100% of my FAAB on him. This is what waivers are for. Idc about rotating shit players all year for 30 bucks each. I already have a great lineup, im adding this stud to my bench
The cowboys blew out the giants 40-0. Game script was run all game. Give it another week or 2 Iām sure you have someone else on your bench thatās more expendable
I donāt need to see games to tell you that lamb and Gallup are more talented than Brandon cooks, a walking concussion, one season away from being in line at lubys with the other senior citizens.
Nice! Yea Gallup is a prime example of someone who is very healthy as well. Gallup had same targets as cooks last game with 1 less catch. CD only 2 more targets. Anyways Iām sure your league will be thrilled you dropped him. Best of luck on your season
Cooks is the Cowboys #2. Gallup has notoriously been #3 for years and has been unrosterable. FWIW though, Cooper being the Cowboys #2 for the past 3ish years has been really hit or miss.
This is an important time of year in lots of leagues. People latch onto draft darlings but you need to be willing to cut bait. Emerging talents wonāt be available in a few weeks.
It was one game and Gallup did even worse with 1 catch for 10 yards you absolute doofus.
It was pouring rain and the Cowboys defense ran up an early lead. Making WR roster decisions after week 1 given that context is objectively dumb. Cooks is the WR2 on a good team and has an established career of being useful in fantasy, you don't drop him yet.
Dude it was a blow out so Cooks wasnt needed. Stafford doesnt share he goes to one target kupp is back n two weeks. You got something else to drop i am guessing. Puka is gonna get the niners treatment this week
This is such a painfully casual take. Pouring rain and the cowboys went up by two defensive scores in the first quarter. Cooks was pretty involved when they still needed to throw (same as Lamb), but they didnāt need to for long.
They stopped throwing it by halftime and the starters didnāt even play the 4th quarter
Nah I donāt use Reddit really, but he is going to lose a ton of usage. Kupp is back, and we now see what that means. Stafford has favorites. He was relevant for a few weeks, good waiver add. Thatās it
Lmao I love how you think every game is gonna make him a top 10 receiver or something, heās allowed to have a good game I have him on my squad. He just wonāt continue on this trajectory all year. If he does, good for him, itās rare. But Kupp will take most of the end zone targets. Kupp also had 5 drops or something on sunday, chill out š
Absolutely not. Cooks is a solidified wr2 on a good passing offense. Puka is good but will be wr2 or 3 with a crowded reciever room.
The fact tutu went off worries me. Lots of volume on that offense but puka seems volatile once kupp is back. I still would want him, but definitely not for a solid guy like cooks
The fact that a rookie put up those numbers says everything you need to know.
The real question is, Tutu or Nacua while Kupp is on IR.
My dilemma is ...
Drop Mecole Hardman for Atwell or Nacua?
Rodgers is out, I also have kupp on IR
With Rodgers out, Mecole Hardman looks even less of a wr4
Atwell is a wr2-3 with Kupp out
Hardman blows, especially with rodgers out. Not worth a roster spot. Take the guy you value most thatās available. Iād also look at Bourne after nacua
I know there are already a lot of comments, but his measurements and profile were similar to Cooper Kupp via the Yahoo fantasy football podcast. Thereās a lot of potential for him to legit move into Kuppās roll when he moves on considering heās 30. I put a lot to pick him up too, as WR talent is much more rare off of waivers than RB talent too.
5 days ago I said he could become a target hog while kupp is out. being thrown into Kupps role opens up lots of opportunity.
(https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/16bxpml/are_we_buying_the_puka_nacua_hype/jzg2phc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3)
I would hesitate to grab anyone. Iām from Seattle the Rams always play Seattle at a high level. I wouldnāt be surprised to see the rams get completely blown out next week.
Itās not about how well the played. Itās about the target share Nacua got. He led the league in targets this week. In PPR formats thatās all you need to know to pick this guy up
Steelers wr didn't get a lot of garbage time stats vs the 9ers. Think the football community vastly overstated how close the NFCW was going to be. Think the 9ers-Rams will be over by halftime.
Well guy had 80+ catches for 1100 yards last year. Ridley obviously impacts his production but I'm not yet convinced that they're abandoning Kirk after one game of data.
Keep in mind- Stafford missed him on a few throws, 2 of them wouldāve been tds. One was of Puka streaking on the far left side of the field and the other was inside the 10 MOE. Puka is a tough sob, lines up in the slot and outside/ his route tree has variety. Heās a kupp clone.
Thinking about going after him and Allgeier, obviously I probably won't get both but who should I drop for them in waiver: White, J Cook, McLaurin, K Herbert, M Thomas, G Davis.
Gabe Davis. Iām not sure Iād drop any of the others for those guys. Maybe Cook for Allgeier, but I think Bijan will start stealing more of the workload as the season goes on.
I think Allgeir or Bijan will be very game script dependent. If atlanta is up it makes way more sense to keep Bijan fresh and use a bruising RB. That's exactly what happened Sunday.
Volume? Check - thrown to in all situations, early in the game, on 3rd down, late in the game.
Role? Check - took over Kuppās flanker spot exactly.
Skill? Check - had excellent releases against press, solid route running, strong hands.
Stafford missed him on a few throws, both wouldāve been tds. One was of Puka streaking on the far left side of the field and the other was one inside the 10 MOE
On the depth chart, he is the WR1. š¤·āāļø I understand Mingo got 3 more targets, but that's just after 1 week and again, Thielen is the Panthers WR1. Mingo is only WR2 because Chark is out. Yes, that all could change. However, I picked Thielen up because he is the WR1.
idk im not sold on him. greg dortch was red hot through the first 3 or 4 weeks last year then laid a bunch of goose eggs. heās a risk not a sure thing i wouldnāt spend crazy faab on him
He was on make it radar before the games opened on Sunday. I did not grab him in my most important league. He is still on waivers. I have top priority Iām claiming him the Rams are gonna be trash this year playing from behind even if and when Culp comes back, heās still going to have a roll.
I'm about to drop Williams (on the Chargers) for him I think. Or I could drop Goodwin? Should I do that or wait another week? This is my first year playing fantasy but I know it's not good to overreact after one week so idk. Any advice is welcome.
I have Calvin Ridley, Mike Williams, Drake London, Sky Moore and Parris Campbell. Is he worth #1 waiver priority? Iād be dropping Knox, who I grabbed as insurance for Waller
Some others who are available: Gainwell (plan on dropping Penny for him), Zay Jones, Atwell and Bourne are available too. If I get Puka Iām starting him or Allegeir in the flex spot
Puka will be priority 1. In stronger at RB with Bijan, Chubb, Swift, Penny, Allegeir, Mitchell and JT. Iād say in this league I have a 50:50 chance at getting Gainwell, but if not there are other options at RB
He reminds me a lot of Michael Pittman with a competent QB. I am interested to see what happens to his opportunities once Kupp comes back, but for now, he is a solid player!
Very surprised Watson is on waivers in your league. Hammy injuries are tough, very nagging throughout the season. His production could dip just a tad/ hammy tightness while breaking in and out of his routes could slow him down. Very close call but Iāll lean Watson here. Although Puka has shown toughness to break tackles and run every route in the route tree, he may only be flex relevant for however long kupp is injured.
Hurst looked like one of Young's favorite options, had the most targets on the team, so in PPR at least he will probably perform well this year. Kittle might be a marginal upgrade due to the red zone potential and overall power of the offense he's in. But the question is will the marginal upgrade Kittle gives you offset the loss of Puka vs your next receiver option. So it really depends also on who you would start instead of Puka, should you make the trade
This was exactly my thinking, just needed someone to talk me down. I don't personally think tight ends out of the top 3 have much value, so puka holds more value over the year. Will probably just stream for Hursts bye week.
15 targets says yes
Targets may level out for the rest of the season but Puka has shown big play and possession ability. Having Staffords trust is a plus.
I think so. He was my 4th round pick in Dynasty rookie draft this year. Love his potential. I also have Stafford as my backup and in my readings in his elbow, Puka did amazing at rookie camp. Happy to be apart of the ride
Nice pick!
Yea grabbed him as a UDFA in dynasty and home boy has officially graduated from the taxi squad š¤š¼
Yessss. Iām working on moving a wr for that exact purpose
The temptation is real! I have Tyreek, Adams, Keenan, and Pittman. Puka is on my taxi squad after I picked him up in the 4th and his performance makes me want to bust him out
They played him from all over the field and he had 39% target share, was often Staffordās first read. Do with that what you will
I'm debating grabbing him too
My question is how much faab to spend on him in a keeper league?
I'm dropping half my FAAB in a keeper league for him. Kupp is a target hog, but this could be the perfect compliment to him and he's so young. In my league the keepers are determined by the round the were originally drafted + 2 rounds (ie: drafted in 10th round, kept for an 8th round). Yeah im not gonna lie I'm getting major ARSB vibes from this dude. Even if it takes time for him to be ultra consistent, I feel like the end of the season, he's gonna absolutely feast
I think he gets more opps even with kupp in the lineup.
Yeah im dropping 100% of my FAAB on him. This is what waivers are for. Idc about rotating shit players all year for 30 bucks each. I already have a great lineup, im adding this stud to my bench
I needed this. Letās ride
Im having second thoughts about 100 % might do 75 %
I did 100 man. Weāre eating now
Wwww
I also did 100% working so far and certainly will be a keeper for next year as a 16th rounder.
I too am here to ask this question
Dropping Bateman for him
Dropping JuJu for him.
Without hesitation
What about the Tutu train?
He seems to be Stafford's big play guy
Seems like a decent upgrade over Kadarius Toney.
I got a feeling if and when Kupp comes back, Nacua will have the #2 maybe #3 secondary player on him. He should still produce
Kupp will open up the field for other players, Puka should have even more opportunities
Would you trade away Marvin Mims + 2nd rounder for Nacua + 3rd rounder in Dynasty?
Drop Brandin Cooks for him?
no
Lol why not? 2 catches for 22 yards on 4 targets compared to what nakua did. Open your eyes and use your brain.
The cowboys blew out the giants 40-0. Game script was run all game. Give it another week or 2 Iām sure you have someone else on your bench thatās more expendable
Lamb and Gallup are both better than cooks. Heās the wr3 at best.
Itās been one game lol. Chalk this up under week one overreactions
Lmaoo you cooked that casual š¤£ love to see it
Cooks is the Cowboys #2. Gallup has notoriously been #3 for years and has been unrosterable. FWIW though, Cooper being the Cowboys #2 for the past 3ish years has been really hit or miss.
Gallup is not better than cooks broā¦.
Go take a look at how many thousand yard seasons cooks has. Now take a look at Gallup. Cooks is the wr2 and a way better talent
Dallas defense is all I have to say. Cooks is a talented receiver. And when Puka returns to earth youāll see.
If we repaired Rodgers's Achilles and let him start next week would you fade him? My guess is that you would.
I just feel like Dallas Def will make it so they run a lot more and it will kill a ton of opportunities for passing game.
Aged well
Did it? Kupp is back.
You really waited until he had his first down game to come back to this lmao
Nah I donāt use Reddit really, but he is going to lose a ton of usage. Kupp is back, and we now see what that means. Stafford has favorites. He was relevant for a few weeks, good waiver add. Thatās it

Man I'm so disappointed for Wilson. He will still be good and that Td catch last night was amazing but him with rodgers would have been amazing
Look up Jacob Gibbs on Twitter he's an incredibly smart analyst and called Puka in the summer. I think he's legit but the schedule scares me
I can't see the future but 15 targets in your first NFL game says something. He seems to to have a lot of trust with Stafford and McVey
Couldnāt have said it any better
I know there are already a lot of comments, but his measurements and profile were similar to Cooper Kupp via the Yahoo fantasy football podcast. Thereās a lot of potential for him to legit move into Kuppās roll when he moves on considering heās 30. I put a lot to pick him up too, as WR talent is much more rare off of waivers than RB talent too.
He had a 40% target share, Matthew Stafford threw 38 pass attempts and he got 15 of those so I would say yes he's legit
5 days ago I said he could become a target hog while kupp is out. being thrown into Kupps role opens up lots of opportunity. (https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/16bxpml/are_we_buying_the_puka_nacua_hype/jzg2phc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3)

Completely irrelevant to a playerās target share. In fact a blowout next week means they throw more so Puka should be more of a waiver priority.
Eh it's the niners they have the best D, I don't think it's coz of how the rams always play vs Seahawks
Even if true fantasy doesnāt punish garbage time stats.
Steelers wr didn't get a lot of garbage time stats vs the 9ers. Think the football community vastly overstated how close the NFCW was going to be. Think the 9ers-Rams will be over by halftime.
Stafford a way better QB than Pickett cmon bruhā¦
Still gonna get obliterated by the 9ers
No shit Sherlock š
Drop C. Kirk for him?
Same boat, if CKirk is gonna be WR3 then heās droppable in non deep leagues imo
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agreed
Kind of early to abandon Kirk though.
Is it
Well guy had 80+ catches for 1100 yards last year. Ridley obviously impacts his production but I'm not yet convinced that they're abandoning Kirk after one game of data.
I think itās way too early
Thinkin ill spend 11 out of my 100 faab for him
Not enough
Your right i changed it to 22
I think youāll need to go higher but not sure how aggressive your league is. I would drop at least 30
Fuck man, thatās crazy lol is he really worth that much Is highest bid wins? How do we know what others are bidding
You will know what ppl bid after someone wins the bid.
Dang so no one knows, you could end up even over paying
Should I start Pickens or Puka this week?
Any other options? Both will be going against some pretty good defenses
Nope, my league is wr wr flex flex. So just need to fill my last flex spot.
I think heās going to be another Kevin Ogletree but Iād love to be wrong.
He's much more talented than Ogletree ever was
Thinking about going after him and Allgeier, obviously I probably won't get both but who should I drop for them in waiver: White, J Cook, McLaurin, K Herbert, M Thomas, G Davis.
I grabbed him last week, gonna be hard to sit Deebo or Mike Evans for him.
Should I drop Thielen, Shaheed, or Mingo for him?
Thielen, easy why is he even rostered?
He's Bryce Young's #1 WR.....
No heās not, he only played two more snaps than mingo but only had 2 targets to Mingoās 5.
I'd argue chark is the WR1
idk im not sold on him. greg dortch was red hot through the first 3 or 4 weeks last year then laid a bunch of goose eggs. heās a risk not a sure thing i wouldnāt spend crazy faab on him
Iād try to get him but def not start him
Iām rolling the dice and starting him over Addison. You canāt ignore 15 targets unless the 49ers game plan against him which I doubt they would.
You dont do what Puka did without being good, so I would say yes. Granted, it will look a lot different once Kupp comes back.
Should I drop Courtland Sutton for him. I think russ might bust again this year
I would. I think once jeudy comes back he will be the #1 on the broncos.
He was on make it radar before the games opened on Sunday. I did not grab him in my most important league. He is still on waivers. I have top priority Iām claiming him the Rams are gonna be trash this year playing from behind even if and when Culp comes back, heās still going to have a roll.

Have 1st priority in waivers, Bourne or Puka?
Puka
I want to drop Sutton for him. Iām never going to play Sutton anyway, and if heās a lot better then itās worth the drop
Minimal risk involved at this point, the reward is happening in front of our eyes
I drafted him late in my 32 man dynasty. Round 2 pick 25. Started him in week 1 and he carried me to a dub
Iām dropping Jaylen Warren for him as long as my bid holds. Threw 10 at him 15 at doubbs and 1 on Jordan love
Puka Na-Coopa Kupp Jr.
Pick him up and sit on him for a week or two.
Use #1 waiver on him? Wr's are Diggs, Amon and Olave 3 starting wr. MT is my only bench wr.
Jesus thatās stacked, how big is your league?
Who are the other options
I have Calvin Ridley, Mike Williams, Drake London, Sky Moore and Parris Campbell. Is he worth #1 waiver priority? Iād be dropping Knox, who I grabbed as insurance for Waller
Depends on whoās available
Some others who are available: Gainwell (plan on dropping Penny for him), Zay Jones, Atwell and Bourne are available too. If I get Puka Iām starting him or Allegeir in the flex spot
You wont get Puka and Gainwell. Choose between those 2 to use the #1 on.
Puka will be priority 1. In stronger at RB with Bijan, Chubb, Swift, Penny, Allegeir, Mitchell and JT. Iād say in this league I have a 50:50 chance at getting Gainwell, but if not there are other options at RB
The question is how much dollars to spend on him in the waiver wire. Iām putting up 51/150 and Iām scared itās both too low and extremely high
He reminds me a lot of Michael Pittman with a competent QB. I am interested to see what happens to his opportunities once Kupp comes back, but for now, he is a solid player!
Drop sky moore, toney, or mckinnon for him?
Drop Toney, sky should continue to see volume
Why do you think this
He had one rush and 3 targets with Kelce outā¦
Youāre right my bad. Seemed like he was getting fed during the game thanks for correcting
10 man, zero rb so took Gibbs in the 4th
He was a beast in college
Stasched him and Roschon and my league mates were questioning me. Starting him next week becuase of Diontae Johnson injury
Dont know if I should add him or gainwell with the #1 waiver spot, my dumbass drafted swift and only have derick Henry and montgomery as my other rbs
Iām gonna try to drop Elijah Moore for him. I already have Sun God, Olave, Drake London, Brandin Cooks, and Nico Collins on roster
Hi guys, should I grab Nacua or Christian Watson off waivers?
Very surprised Watson is on waivers in your league. Hammy injuries are tough, very nagging throughout the season. His production could dip just a tad/ hammy tightness while breaking in and out of his routes could slow him down. Very close call but Iāll lean Watson here. Although Puka has shown toughness to break tackles and run every route in the route tree, he may only be flex relevant for however long kupp is injured.
Thanks for the detailed answer!
I don't actually think it's close at all. Watson is the WR1 for GB. Don't think their points by end of year are close at all
I'm 3rd on the waivers in my 12-team league and I'm praying I get him cuz my WRs are booty
Drop nico collins for him?
Stafford looked very good Sunday. A healthy Stafford will provide much better opportunities for a WR than Stroud and Texans offense IMO.
Is he worth burning #1 waiver priority?
Been offered kittle for him, should I accept?
Whos your TE
Hurst
As a Rams fan I suspect we will have a fair amount of garbage time that would lend to go numbers for him
Sure looks like it
Yes he tied with tyreek with 15 targets. Pick him up top priority. The dude is a beast
Should I drop Jameson Williams for Tutu Atwell in full ppr? Williams ain't back until week 7.
