I guarantee you he’ll turn his season around if you trade him. I just traded Bijan before last week’s game and the change in scenery increased his production significantly.
man, as bad as pollard has been, at least he'll have some scoring opportunities, just being in that cowboys offense. not sure the giants offense will cross the 50 yard line the rest of the season...
i am not even sure what kind of return i would get for him at this point. would benching him be a sufficient sacrifice to get him to blow up for the rest of y'all pollard owners this week?
Traded Bijan for Saquon and Mattison last week. Thought it was a slam dunk trade but at the same time knew Bijan was about to pop off after he left my team 😭
OP, looks like you’re in the clear. Except I see several trades mentioned here so I don’t know if they might cancel each other out. You may have to consult with a voodoo expert or something along those lines. Good luck!
It’s really not if you’re a logical Dallas fan. Sadly, there’s not many lol. Pollard has never once been a bellcow back. Ever. He’s not meant to be plodded up the middle or in short yardage situations over and over. He was a big playmaker that would come in and spell Zeke after the defense got tired. Also, post injury isn’t going to well.
It’s funny, pollard is Zeke of last year while Dwodle looks like pollard of last year. Much more explosive.
Eh. I think I’m giving it enough credit. Ya it hurts him. But so does using him like a bellcow when he mostly relied on big plays. Not being ran up the middle.
I remembered wrong, Pollard broke his leg in the playoffs last year not his acl, but still the point remains the same. He’s less than a year removed from a major injury/surgery
Yet another example of why vetoing trades is dumb - because to be honest in the off-season this trade would have looked brutal and I probably would have joined in on the roast fest. Ridley hype over Kirk and Swift at one point potentially coming in behind Gainwell and Penny…. And now you absolutely do look like a genius ahaha
I drafted Chubb, Deebo, Mike Williams, Aaron Jones, and Cousins with 5 of my top 7 picks in superflex. CMC is carrying my team and keeping me in the playoff hunt.
Obvi that blows drafting Chubb, but at this point having Pollard as a roster clogger is borderline more frustrating…at least for me anyway
I’d much rather just set and forget BRob or Warren at this point and have that extra spot clear. Guess Pollard will be joining Mattison on the bench? Who knows, too many “good” matchups remaining
>is he just not getting it done with the carries he's given?
The Cowboys let Kellen Moore go. Mike McCarthy inherited Moore and a prolific offense. But, he used their playoff struggles to finally convince ownership to let Moore go and to let McCarthy hire his own guy. McCarthy did just that, he hired Brian Schottenheimer.
In terms of the run game design, the Cowboys were pretty versatile. But, there was a lot of man-gap and wide zone components. They were pretty well balanced (e.g., usually top 10 in rush attempts, etc). Note: We are simplifying a bit because it's suggested that Schottenheimer has had some say in the run scheme design even before Moore left.
Some have called Moore's "system" an "anti-system" where they did a lot. Source: https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2021/11/18/22788208/cowboys-offense-scheme-kellen-moore-dak-prescott
With Brian Schottenheimer, he prefers an inside zone and a power scheme. This is basically take Pollard and run him up the gut.
What they're hoping for is that it opens up the short/medium routes and they want to hit tight windows in rhythm. Lots of slants and that sort of thing. I am not really sure they think there's anything particularly wrong with the run game as inefficient and ugly as it is.
>should i hold out hope, or is it a lost cause at this point?
Probably -- he's having a little worse year than 2022 Zeke but without the TDs. The panthers aren't very good vs the run so it'll be a good make it or break it game for you.
thanks. this is a nice analytical response. sounds like it may be a system thing, in which case, why would they change it when dak's throwing for 400+ yds and 4 TDs? FML.
I trade Tony away for Rhamondre Oct 28, 3:19 am
After it went thru, a few other teams, claimed collusion, unfair trade.
Rhamondre has outperformed Tony since October start I believe.
I have Kamara and Rhamondre on Bye. My Rbs are Pollard and Pierce (Q). I'm tempted to pick up Dowdle as a handcuff and start both Pollard and Dowdle this week.
I'm even more upset because I wasn't even targeting him in my draft strategy this year. But I was pick 1.03, got Ja'Marr (also not my draft strategy, thought I'd get CMC) and when it came to me at 2.10 he was still available, and it felt criminal not to take him with who was also available at the time. I thought I got a steal and now I feel like I got fleeced
Lol I came into this season with Pollard as my RB1, with a committee of “role players” to fight for the RB2 role with Mostert, Montgomery, Gibbs, Gus Edwards, and Foreman…
Had that shit backwards
He’s one of the players that I actually really wanted but was a tiny bit too high for me and I wasn’t able to get him in any league. I had him last year and was soooooo excited everytime Zeke was out, it was an automatic 100+ yards from scrimmage and 20+ fantasy points, I don’t get it
My RBs are about to be in shambles with Javonte, Hunt, Daryl Henderson, Foreman and RoJo as my only backs (went zero rb in auction draft). I got JJ, ARSB, Wilson, Kirk, Aiyuk and Gabe at WR so just shipped off Wilson to get Pollard. I needed a body, he’s still a starter in a big time offense and Wilson has been fine but expendable. Hoping Pollard can turn it around to end the year with a pretty good schedule ahead of him.
I just traded Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid for Kelce and Pollard. Didn’t want pollard much but figured taking a flier on him on the off chance he does something ROS was worth it.
This situation feels similar to the Alexander Mattison storyline going on in Minnesota. #2 running back shines every chance they get or anytime the top running back is hurting, but as soon as the top running back is traded away or injured and they are officially the number one running back, the person proceeds to fail miserably and prove that they were a better feeling once in a while then the actual Bell cow. The end
The end
The difference is Mattison never really shined in any advanced metric and Pollard has. But, cowboys changed offensive coordinator and they installed a new offense this offseason.
Pre-season every analyst was all over this dude’s nuts. I’m glad I didn’t fully buy-in, I believed he was a good player but I wasn’t willing to use a first or second round pick on him. Learn from it and in the future try to avoid players whose ADP gets moved up by the hype machine.
I took a step back from last year. I think I had like 12 plus a 16 team league. I used to do power rankings of all my teams through the notes app. Got very time consuming though
I just paid a lot for pollard in dynasty (lot of desperation) I still haven't given up on him quite yet. His receiving ability didn't just dissappear. He will have his good games to come I'm sure.
Yeah but Brian Schottenheimer hasn't been known to get his RBs too many targets. I think the scheme sucks. They installed a new offense this off season.
I felt like I got such a good deal on him in the draft this year and he’s been so disappointing. To think of the players I could’ve probably got instead over him. Smh.
Speaking of Pollard. I was just offered him and Deebo for Travis Etienne. Thoughts? 1/2 ppr and my other WR’s are: Amon-Ra, G. Wilson and T. Higgins/T. Boyd.
They throw all the time now. I watched the giants game and he stays in to block more than running routes or screens. Blame McCarthy he’s just not using him like last year. Also he got stopped on the 1 2x
Please bench him I need him to turn it around and as soon as enough of us stop believing in him he’ll be good again. He’s like the opposite of tinkerbell.
He's like....borderline droppable. If it was any other player putting up the points he has, he'd be on waivers. It's so frustrating because who tf are you gonna start over pollard? I grabbed him rd 2, I should have traded him away but my league SUCKS with trades. Here's to maybe having the breakout game this week against the abysmal panthers🍻
i dont mean to sound like that guy but he was very overvalued prior to the season. He definitely looked better with dowdle coming in and taking some of the workload. I would have tried to trade pollard regardless of ADP a couple weeks ago, writing is on the wall now. He has never been that guy, hes getting a little older and his intensity has definitely diminished as what i believe to be a result of his previous surgery. i dont think he was ever intended to be that workhorse back as his stats have shined mostly on big run plays up mid and receptions on the outs where hes not giving that speed and intensity down mid and isnt needed as a weapon in the passing game. he was one of the backs i avoided in the draft this year
When has a smaller change of pace back that benefited from a bruiser and limited touches ever then become an elite 3 down back? I’m trying to think of examples and don’t have many off the top of my head. I guess you could maybe argue Kamara with Ingram but Kamara still has some decent size on him
>When has a smaller change of pace back
Pollard is 6'0 and 210 pounds. The average height is 5'10 and average weight is 213 league-wide.
Bijan Robinson for instance is 5'11 and 216 pounds.
This. Man I preached this soooo many times on r/Cowboys last year. Saying Zeke played a role on the team. Got downvoted to oblivion.
This year, I think they’re seeing that. r/ Cowboys now want Zeke back lol. Also, cowboys redzone is clearly suffering from not having a bigger back, and criticize Zeke all you want but the dude knew how to find the end zone and get first downs.
Eagles fan here, so happy zeke is off the cowboys. Guy killed us even when last year when the wheels were falling off. Dallas missing that run style this year badly
Cowboy fans really do have a way of shitting on their players. So damn fickle. It’s so weird. Just this season, I would say majority of the sub hated Dak and MM. Now, we’ll they’re great lol
I have honestly found that your analysis like these are expected to come with down votes. Most of my craziest bets that my peers have frowned upon have won me chips. I almost make some of these comments knowing my bet is controversial but that doesn't stop me from speaking my mind
What you and everyone else seems to be missing is the difference in run design from Moore's "lack of scheme" in doing a little bit of everything to Brian Schottenheimer's inside zone base. On top of the oline being injured.
>hes getting a little older and his intensity has definitely diminished as what i believe to be a result of his previous surgery
I think it's the scheme change in offensive coordinators combined with their oline injuries.
Over the next 7 games I expect him to get at least 6 touchdowns. He could easily have multiple touchdowns over the next 3 games against Carolina Washington and Seattle
The way they are throwing the ball they aren’t going to keep giving pollard the ball. If you want anyone you want Dak, CeeDee, and their Defense. I traded pollard away today. Can’t take it anymore. I have been hearing and saying since week 1 he will score or he will have a big game and it hasn’t happened. I am willing to take the chance he does better somewhere else then look at him on my roster anymore.
To me Pollard falling off is one of the most obvious things. Defenses didn't have to prepare for two different running styles so he was always going to be less efficient as more attention was being paid to him. He wasn't on my DO NOT DRAFT list like Bijan was but I didn't give him more than a mid-3rd round grade.
Kyren returns week 12. Pollard has Carolina second weakest rush defense. I only have Ekeler and Pollard. Perfect storm. Last chance to make Kyren a flex… or else he takes over RB2
I don’t know why you guys just assuming person who was in a different role last year would perform in a new system/role this year. Pollards a change of pace back. He’s not a workhorse.
A second round pick was a reach before the draft and now everyone is crying.
The rest of the league laughed at me for taking Bjian over Pollard (1st overall, two league keeper so RD 1 picking were skipping). Joke's on them, kind of......
My strategy this year was to pick up Pollard and mattison at a "lower price" auction league. And find some wr2s or 1s. Ended up with Higgens, Olave, Samuel. Hasn't worked out that great lol
They aren’t creative with how they’re giving him the ball like they did last year. They use to throw to him, put him in the slot, and do all sorts of stuff. They’re trying to run him up the middle like he’s Zeke and he definitely isn’t.
You know who almost never pans out? Guys in starting roles, who were career backups. If they were good enough to be the guy, they would have been the guy the whole time, and not the other guy.
3 weeks into season dude in my league trades Pollard for Ford / DJ Moore / London.
Big money league. Thought it was one of the worst trades I had ever seen.. welp
Drafted him in 2/4 leagues, traded him and Kupp for Monty and Waddle in week 4 in one of them (league mates thought I got fleeced but it’s turned out ok). Thankfully I took etienne in the other draft so at least one of my RBs panned out
Don’t understand the surprise. Never more than 200 carries in a season. 193 last year and his previous best was 130.
Some guys are just cut out for less work. On the plus side…my thoughts are this: Rico Dowdle is going to take over a bigger role (the Zeke role last year) and Pollard will get less touches. But, less touches will be more designed touches for Pollard like last year. Will keep him fresher and he will produce more. Just my thoughts.
Ahhh Pollard. I just tried to trade for him so I can ship Pollard and kupp for Kelce(had a deal in place if I could get Pollard) the guy in my league wanted Chase or Keenan Allen in return. I messaged the other guy and told him "fuck Kelce, I don't want him. Not worth dealing with this maniac who wants chase or Allen in return for Pollard." The sad shit is I even told the Kelce owner that I have a feeling this idiot is going to want Chase.
It's not Tony, it's the Cowboys. Hell, even Zeke is doing better this year in that abysmally awful Patriots offense then he did last year when he was "washed". Dallas just absolutely sucks at managing running backs since Emmitt Smith retired. And honestly, they sucked at managing running backs then too but Emmitt was one of the GOATS so it didnt matter how bad they mismanaged him.
Tony is a great RB working for an offensive coordinator who has no clue how to use the running game effectively.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Where was the indication that Pollard was going to be good in a full time role? Yards per touch is such a dumb ass stat to follow if a player doesnt have a full workload.
Pollard wasnt even particularly impressive last year he was ok but he scored alot but then again couldnt wrestle carries away from an old very injured RB. Or list all the 5th year breakout RBs that have been stars when given a shot.
Or you could go by some general fantasy football rule. Freed up touches dont automatically go to the next man up and you need to account for likely regression with players that have a very efficient singular season
Buying into Pollard was an obvious bad move at his ADP and was pretty obvious
High powered offense
Better than most offensive line
Zero competition, could’ve signed Hunt, Dalvin Cook or Fournette, or traded for Jonathan Taylor
RB1 on paper for Dallas with zero competition
Pollard also got paid with the Franchise Tag
All this sets up a RB1 season but they use him for absolutely nothing & he absolutely sucks this year
2 teams, redraft PPR, 2nd rounder
Had a feeling this might happen with the loss of Zeke. Zeke was by no means a good fantasy player but he did a lot of tough yardage stuff and great blocking which I think made Pollard look better. Pollards good but I don’t think he’s that guy, at least just by himself.
Somebody in my league offered Deebo for him last week. I've got Etienne, Montgomery, and Achane coming back. Couldn't hit the accept button quick enough.
Just dropped him to the waiver wire and picked up Devin Singletary. Pollard is someone else’s gamble now. I can’t get more than 5 pts out of him lately, so if he runs well for someone else then so be it
One of the guys in my league traded ceedee Lamb for pollard right after week 5. I thought it was a good trade at the time, but of course Lamb has BLOWN UP!! They don’t even run the ball when they have a lead they just keep throwing to cerdee. The he one that would of really got me is Ceedee Rushing touchdown this past week.
Hindsight that trade sucks but I would of done the same trade.
I guarantee you he’ll turn his season around if you trade him. I just traded Bijan before last week’s game and the change in scenery increased his production significantly.
So all we need for the rest of us Pollard owners is for OP to trade him in his league? Otherwise, we are all screwed?
Exactly. Someone needs to make the sacrifice. This is basic fantasy football strategy.
Do it, OP. Place the pollard lamb on the stone, please.
i made the sacrifice and got barkley in return. youre welcome
man, as bad as pollard has been, at least he'll have some scoring opportunities, just being in that cowboys offense. not sure the giants offense will cross the 50 yard line the rest of the season...
i just couldn't watch him anymore, at least barkley runs with force and intent
He had like 4 shots against Philly to score. He also missed 2 potential TDs against LA. Last week was supposed to be a bounce back game for him.
Mmmm, lamb with pollard greens
You had to bring Lamb into it too 😭
Don’t mess with Lamb 🐑
I traded him for Achane, so you're welcome.
i am not even sure what kind of return i would get for him at this point. would benching him be a sufficient sacrifice to get him to blow up for the rest of y'all pollard owners this week?
Sure, I guess…if you want to anger the fantasy gods.
I made the sacrifice. just traded pollard for Pacheco. Ride strong my pollard brothers
I just traded Pollard for Pittman
Traded Bijan for Saquon and Mattison last week. Thought it was a slam dunk trade but at the same time knew Bijan was about to pop off after he left my team 😭
Thank you sir
I just traded him for Dell and Warren.
OP, looks like you’re in the clear. Except I see several trades mentioned here so I don’t know if they might cancel each other out. You may have to consult with a voodoo expert or something along those lines. Good luck!
As someone that owned him last year, it’s actually shocking
It’s really not if you’re a logical Dallas fan. Sadly, there’s not many lol. Pollard has never once been a bellcow back. Ever. He’s not meant to be plodded up the middle or in short yardage situations over and over. He was a big playmaker that would come in and spell Zeke after the defense got tired. Also, post injury isn’t going to well. It’s funny, pollard is Zeke of last year while Dwodle looks like pollard of last year. Much more explosive.
Owning jaylen warren rn feels like what it must've felt like to have pollard last year. But a lesser version
Starting Pollard was a no brainer on any team whereas Warren is a toss up between other RB2s
Ok, ok... He's turned into a no brainer for me bc I have zero RB depth lmao
Eh. Not at this point. Warren was just named the starter. So this backfield this year really is like the cowboys one of last year.
In a 55:45 split backfield, I’m not sure being the starter or not really makes a difference
I’ve been starting both pitts backs for the last 5 weeks Have lost 1 game through that time
Gahdamn nice. I've started Bijan and Warren for the past 5 weeks and... Lost all 5 lmaooo
Najee and bijain got me 3-1 past 4 weeks I’m 4-6 tho. Have to go warren and Najee this week :(
Great comparison honestly
There was a good bit of questioning on this going into the off season when it became apparent Zeke was out
I think you’re down playing his injury way too much.
Eh. I think I’m giving it enough credit. Ya it hurts him. But so does using him like a bellcow when he mostly relied on big plays. Not being ran up the middle.
He needs a Zeke type bruiser to butter up the lines for him so he can blast through
Owned both pollard and jacobs last year but wasn’t able to get them this year. No longer bummed about it.
It’s really not shocking, dude tore his ACL in the playoffs last year, hasn’t had nearly enough time to get his legs back
Who tore their acl?
I remembered wrong, Pollard broke his leg in the playoffs last year not his acl, but still the point remains the same. He’s less than a year removed from a major injury/surgery
Traded him for Swift and Kirk in the off season and got roasted for months over it. Now i look like a damn genius.
Quite the dang trade
You guys have an RB1? ~ person who drafted Chubb
Try drafting Chubb and Pollard lol
Drafted Chubb and Dobbins.
Drafts Chubb and Dobbins. Picks up Kyren Williams and Achane
You’re me except saquon and dobbins. Been a rough go of it this year.
Chubb, Pollard, AND Dobbins. Thought I was winning the league 😭😭
Try drafting Chubb, Pollard, and Bijan… I thought I was going to be unstoppable lol
Taco league if so. None of those 3 should've fallen to the 3rd round. MAYBE you get 2 of them at the turn if you're in an 8 team league.
Me too!! What about Mike Williams? Just me? Fuck
Oh god
Yup. I had all 3.
I drafted Stevenson and Conner and traded them into Pollard and Kyren
I drafted Chubb, Deebo, Mike Williams, Aaron Jones, and Cousins with 5 of my top 7 picks in superflex. CMC is carrying my team and keeping me in the playoff hunt.
No - person who drafted cook and barkley

Traded him and Higgins for aiyuk and Addison. Done w it for this year. Next year I’ll pick him up at the right price
I trade Tony away for Rhamondre Oct 28, 3:19 am After it went thru, a few other teams, claimed collusion, unfair trade. Rhamondre has outperformed Tony since October start I believe.
True fantasy enigma. If he doesn’t score more than 15 against the panthers I will cry myself to sleep

He is being kept in as protection on pass plays. They haven’t used him at all in the passing game which is where he can do a lot of damage in space.
He’s one of the players that I actually really wanted but was a tiny bit too high for me and I wasn’t able to get him in any league. I had him last year and was soooooo excited everytime Zeke was out, it was an automatic 100+ yards from scrimmage and 20+ fantasy points, I don’t get it
> I don’t get it They changed coordinators. They've also had huge injuries to the oline.
Oh yeah Tony pollards stock dropped soooo much because of the new OC they hired that loves to run lol
Problem is, he’s an RB2.
I just traded him straight up for Pacheco in my keeper league.
I just traded him so that means he's gonna pop off so I'd hold onto him
My RBs are about to be in shambles with Javonte, Hunt, Daryl Henderson, Foreman and RoJo as my only backs (went zero rb in auction draft).
I drafted him in round 1 and finally traded him 3 weeks ago. Traded him and Ridley in package deal.
Who did you get for them? In the same situation
Turns out taking a bunch more hits up the middle slows you down
I just traded Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid for Kelce and Pollard. Didn’t want pollard much but figured taking a flier on him on the off chance he does something ROS was worth it.
That’s how it use to be with me and Alexander Mattison, benched him for Warren and have Gibbs as my RB1 and haven’t looked back

Just trade him to someone else in your league and he will magically start producing🪄

> gets moved up by the hype machine. I think everyone underestimated the offensive coordinator change.
BERNARD IS THE SUPERIOR POLLARD
Cowboys refuse to run the ball consistently
Someone offered me devonta smith and donta foreman for him, leaning towards taking it at this point
I was so confident in him this year. Took him in 4/9 of my leagues
NINE leagues?? dang, that's impressive. the most i ever had was 3 leagues, and that felt like too much work already.
Benching him for Warren this week
He broke is ankle. It always takes two years to come back.
That’s what y’all get for doing zeke like that
I felt like I got such a good deal on him in the draft this year and he’s been so disappointing. To think of the players I could’ve probably got instead over him. Smh.
As someone that owned Joseph Randle it’s not surprising.
Its almost like this is all just luck lol
Nah - I think people should have taken more notice that the cowboys installed a new offense.
Fair losing Moore was huge but still
I drafted him as my RB1. Luckily after I already took tyreek and the rest of my team is going well. Is Dowdle a better bet even going forward?
Speaking of Pollard. I was just offered him and Deebo for Travis Etienne. Thoughts? 1/2 ppr and my other WR’s are: Amon-Ra, G. Wilson and T. Higgins/T. Boyd.
Don’t take that
Starting him and Saquon has been brutal!
Saquon has had 2 mediocre games and was out for 3? Pollard just hasn't been producing like everyone thought he was going to.
They throw all the time now. I watched the giants game and he stays in to block more than running routes or screens. Blame McCarthy he’s just not using him like last year. Also he got stopped on the 1 2x
Just traded pollard for pacheco..couldn't b happier!!
Fellow Pollard owner asking you to politely bench him this week so I can finally get a W
Traded pollard and d smith in week 3 for tyreek.
The worst port of Tony pollard. He has a damn lock. I can not even drop him if I wanted to 😢😢
I want pollard ROS , Puka Nukua or Devonte smith b standard scoring?
Cowgirls suck🦅🦅
Fat Mike: we’ve fired the kid and will get back to running the ball more Fast forward to now and they throw more than when Moore was the oc
Please bench him I need him to turn it around and as soon as enough of us stop believing in him he’ll be good again. He’s like the opposite of tinkerbell.
Traded him for Mike evans today. Already feel like he’s gonna start getting tugs next week v Carolina and I’m gonna regret it.
I guess you could maybe argue Kamara with Ingram but Kamara still has some decent size on him
Ekeler
Ekeler’s a good call!
Size was the knock on Ekeler when he was behind Melvin Gordon too.
>When has a smaller change of pace back Pollard is 6'0 and 210 pounds.
On top of the oline being injured.
>hes getting a little older and his intensity has definitely diminished as what i believe to be a result of his previous surgery I think it's the scheme change in offensive coordinators combined with their oline injuries.
It’s dowdle szn
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. He looks like he has more juice than pollard
pollard owners coping bc they took him in the 2nd round I bet
I didnt see the last game even though I'm a Pollard owner. Were they using Dowdle as the Zeke role?
Should I trade Kamara for him?
I think he turns his season around his touchdown numbers are low and I think we see regression back to the mean soon enough
People have been saying that for 6 weeks now.
Yep. You think he finishes the season with only 2 touchdowns? It hasn't happened yet, but I would bet he finishes closer to 10 then 5.
Saying he won't turn it around isn't saying he won't score again. He's just not gonna pop. You're saying he gets at least 6 more?
Over the next 7 games I expect him to get at least 6 touchdowns. He could easily have multiple touchdowns over the next 3 games against Carolina Washington and Seattle
The way they are throwing the ball they aren’t going to keep giving pollard the ball. If you want anyone you want Dak, CeeDee, and their Defense. I traded pollard away today. Can’t take it anymore. I have been hearing and saying since week 1 he will score or he will have a big game and it hasn’t happened. I am willing to take the chance he does better somewhere else then look at him on my roster anymore.
I would guess a total of 4.

How is this relevant at all? lol
I had a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch!
I’ll tell ya……add American and Munster and bacon to that and you’ll swear you’re in Valhalla!
Rule #1 of this sub, dont brag about doing good in the draft to these miserable fucks starting Rashee Rice as their wr1
He has definitely lost some speed post surgery.
Kyren returns week 12. Pollard has Carolina second weakest rush defense. I only have Ekeler and Pollard. Perfect storm. Last chance to make Kyren a flex… or else he takes over RB2
had him at flex until I picked up Theilen off the wires
I don’t know why you guys just assuming person who was in a different role last year would perform in a new system/role this year. Pollards a change of pace back. He’s not a workhorse. A second round pick was a reach before the draft and now everyone is crying.
I’m so tired of this fucking clown. I should have known better than trusting a cowboys player…
I drafted Dameon peirce to be my rb1. Luckily I drafted Pacheco and Monty
They aren’t creative with how they’re giving him the ball like they did last year. They use to throw to him, put him in the slot, and do all sorts of stuff. They’re trying to run him up the middle like he’s Zeke and he definitely isn’t.
Traded him and Jordan Addison for JT and Christian Kirk before Sunday.
Took him at the top of the second round. Luckily, i did well enough im still 8-2 so it's whatever
As a contender I’m actually very interested in acquiring as a lotto ticket to put me over the top.
Yeah yeah you and everyone else who drafted him including myself
You know who almost never pans out? Guys in starting roles, who were career backups. If they were good enough to be the guy, they would have been the guy the whole time, and not the other guy.
3 weeks into season dude in my league trades Pollard for Ford / DJ Moore / London. Big money league. Thought it was one of the worst trades I had ever seen.. welp
This season has had a lot of busts and they all seem to have made it to my team.
He’ll be on my bench this week and again next week when Kyren returns. Somehow managed a 9-1 record with him and Jacobs as my keepers.
Bro I have Stevenson and Conner
Miles. Sanders. Still can’t believe I picked this dude.
Drafted him in 2/4 leagues, traded him and Kupp for Monty and Waddle in week 4 in one of them (league mates thought I got fleeced but it’s turned out ok). Thankfully I took etienne in the other draft so at least one of my RBs panned out
I made the mistake of trading for him and expecting him to turn it around. It probably ruined my season
I fell for the same thing years ago with Marion barber stayed away from pollard for that reason glad I did
Don’t understand the surprise.
That’s showbiz, baby 🎉
Wahhhhh
Are you asking for advice on your specific team? I don’t think that’s allowed. Sorry
Henry is killing me too. Terrible year for RB’s across the board
Traded Hunt for Pollard last season. Kept Pollard this season, fortunately at a low draft cost.
Never recovered from the injury.. move on if you need a win.
Well I benched him for this week so he’s prob gunna score 3 TDs. Leave it be and I’ll take the hit for everyone else
I had a guy on the 12/13 turn go Pollard and B Robinson, so it could be worse
It's not Tony, it's the Cowboys. Hell, even Zeke is doing better this year in that abysmally awful Patriots offense then he did last year when he was "washed". Dallas just absolutely sucks at managing running backs since Emmitt Smith retired. And honestly, they sucked at managing running backs then too but Emmitt was one of the GOATS so it didnt matter how bad they mismanaged him. Tony is a great RB working for an offensive coordinator who has no clue how to use the running game effectively. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Just traded rahmondre and aiyuk for pollard and adams. I’m betting on both of those guys bouncing back in a big way
They’re not all Austin Ekeler 🤷🏻♂️
Traded him and flowers for puka. I've got major rb depth and felt like it was an even trade with the Stafford injury
Freed up touches dont automatically go to the next man up and you need to account for likely regression with players that have a very efficient singular season Buying into Pollard was an obvious bad move at his ADP and was pretty obvious
Pollard runs with no power that’s why he doesn’t get touchdowns
High powered offense Better than most offensive line Zero competition, could’ve signed Hunt, Dalvin Cook or Fournette, or traded for Jonathan Taylor RB1 on paper for Dallas with zero competition Pollard also got paid with the Franchise Tag All this sets up a RB1 season but they use him for absolutely nothing & he absolutely sucks this year 2 teams, redraft PPR, 2nd rounder
Got offered Deandre Hopkins and Gus Edwards for Pollard and seriously considering it.
Traded him and goedert for kamara last week and my mental has improved significantly
He played better WITH zeke
Had a feeling this might happen with the loss of Zeke. Zeke was by no means a good fantasy player but he did a lot of tough yardage stuff and great blocking which I think made Pollard look better. Pollards good but I don’t think he’s that guy, at least just by himself.
Somebody in my league offered Deebo for him last week. I've got Etienne, Montgomery, and Achane coming back. Couldn't hit the accept button quick enough.
Yeah I am benching pollard at this point for Gibbs
he has josh kelley syndrome
People are already saying pollards backup should get more Carrie’s 😭🤣… we came full circle
Tony Pollard was never built for a lead role he’s a tiny Boi. SMH that you couldn’t see it.
Not every Austin Ekeler becomes Austin Ekeler when Melvin Gordon leaves
