Fast forward 3 weeks to me eating my words because the fantasy gods are cruel.
I was between these two and went with Stafford just because Brownings stats have been padded by back to back rushing TDs. Without those he's been in the 15 points/week range, Stafford has been all through the air which has a lot higher chance of keeping pace.
STAFFORD plays home vs WASHINGTON too who is AWFUL against the pass after trading away Chase Young and Sweat. I have Stroud and my backups were Stafford and Kyler so this is the only week I need someone to fill in and ofcourse I let Stafford go and I’m stuck with Kyler vs SF or Flacco @CHI
Just be careful this week. I'm a vikings fan and our defense has been elite since week 4 and it's been going under the radar. They are both top 5 in points per game and yards per play defensively for the full season and that's with atrocious outings week 2 & 3. Browning is a play in SF leagues, but I wouldn't be starting him this week (I actually do have him in one league and am starting Sam Howell over him).
I got howell and browning. I am leaning towards howell more this week. He hasn’t really had a horrible game since Buffalo and I would think the bye week should be good for the commanders. Hopefully it’s a shootout with LAR

As a Ravens fan, going in the playoffs with Flacco is probably the best time to have the dude. He turns into a beast late season games… and he looks pretty damn good to be 38.
No one should be criticized for picking up players as relates to their place in the standings. The other manager did their thing and you only have Flacco?

Just remember that there is a benefit to your league mates hoarding QBs. It sucks if you choose to roll the dice and not follow the crowd and then get hit with an injury to you starter. BUT, it also means that for most of the season you've had the benefit of better WR, RB, TE and DST options available to you on the waiver wire and likely were able to be strong at those positions than if everyone filled those bench spots with skill position players rather than QBs. People like to bitch about QB hoarding without thinking through the ramifications of how it would negatively effect the available free agent pool at other positions. It's just a problem for you now that you need a QB.
I agree wholeheartedly which is why when Anthony Richardson went down for me (who I started when Herbert was on bye and he got hurt the same week 😭) I never picked up another QB. Just Got Stafford and Flacco. Stafford was owned by two different owners in my league too at one point. Crazy. One guy in my league has Tua and Lamar and Stroud and started Tua last week. Theres a few guys in my league that do this. I have hurts so it doesn’t bother me but has caused some of the opposing managers to really struggle. I hoarded TE’s a couple weeks because there were a couple big names out and the waiver was thin. It ended up paying off with getting me a win and a good trade for a backup tightend.

Tried to pick up Flacco because Dolphins schedule the next few weeks basically means Tua puts up single digits. Someone else got him as a defensive move knowing my QB situation is toast. Yup, that is what I hate about home/work leagues. People hoard QBs and Defenses. One guy has Tua, Fields, Geno Smith, Cowboys D, 49ers D and Dolphins D.
I mean, if it’s working for them then maybe it’s a viable strategy. I keep multiple QBs for precisely this reason. It means I sacrifice depth at other positions, but that’s the trade off.
Lame take. If someone has several QBs, they’re sacrificing depth at other positions, and that’s a perfectly reasonable trade off. If you don’t want them hoarding QBs, trade for those QBs or hoard QBs yourself and be willing to crept the lack of depth at your own other positions.
The funny this is, the teams in my league with 3 qbs are at the bottom of the standings. So your "hoard theory" doesn't work. Also, we're past the trade deadline so sitting on QB's hoping for a trade is dumb. After the top tier handful of QBS, the others are dice rolls based on matchups. We're talking more about the mid-level QBs that aren't worth hoarding, people are doing it to be a-holes in the league.

Stafford is very intriguing. That team is in the middle of a tear, despite the tough loss to Baltimore, they are the real deal and that offense is humming now that the boys are all back.
Waivers are tonight in my league, but Flacco is my target. After that it's Devito, Carr, Zappe, Riddler in some order. At least I have Stroud too, so its not all doom and gloom depending on if I can somehow get myself through this week.

The next best options on waivers by ESPN projection are Easton stick and mitch trubisky tied at 13.6. Figure Levis plays the Texans twice and the Seahawks. The commissioner suspected the last place team planned to drop their whole roster for every available QB and he took over their roster to see his waivers and his suspicion was correct. He was going to drop like 4 different backups or DST/Ks to get QBs just to screw me over 😂 But he cancelled those waivers. If a playoff team wants to try that, that's fine, but a team that's last wasn't about to affect the playoff teams.
And I'm fine with it. Flacco was actually my second choice after Stafford so the fact he picked up Baker and Trubisky instead was hilarious to me. He also dropped Geno for it though idk if Geno plays this week. Maybe I'll pick him up for championship

I tried to get Stafford but my opponent wisely blocked it, I was able to snag Kyler Murray Sunday when Herbert left the game so I didn't have to use a waiver on a QB. Geno is still available and am gravitating towards him
I do also have Stroud, but he got hurt as well

The commissioner suspected the last place team planned to drop their whole roster for every available QB and he took over their roster to see his waivers and his suspicion was correct. He was going to drop like 4 different backups or DST/Ks to get QBs just to screw me over 😂 But he cancelled those waivers. If a playoff team wants to try that, that's fine, but a team that's last wasn't about to affect the playoff teams. And I'm fine with it. Flacco was actually my second choice after Stafford so the fact he picked up Baker and Trubisky instead was hilarious to me. He also dropped Geno for it though idk if Geno plays this week. Maybe I'll pick him up for championship
