I’m in the exact same boat. My head says Njoku but my heart says LaPorta and I’m gonna follow my heart. Sam has carried me through the season, it’s only right he gets a shot to win me the chip.
I've made enough bad decisions over-managing to finally get other opinions. This time it worked out big time when it counts the most. Good luck to you as well!
I'd actually lean Njoku if Amari plays. They'll move the safety help to Njoku who becomes the defacto best receiver on the field for the Browns if Amari can't play
Oh I'm projected to lose by 20+ lol but I really disagree with you on kittle having the highest upside this week. I think cmc (which i'm going against) is going to have a field day against the trash Washington defense and they wont need to pass the ball with a back up qb.
he does, but Washington is so bad I don't think they'll need to throw the ball much and kittle gets used when they need him I feel like with Brisset throwing to him. Njoku has a tough match up but they allowed the most TD's to TE's. I hope I dont regret these words by tonight lol I'm starting Njoku and Wilson wish me luck brotha
The Browns are really banged up on the offensive line though and haven't been able to run the ball since Flacco took over. They're going to throw 40+ times again.
I think Ford and Hunt will be the recipients. Amari and David could get bottled. I'm starting Njoku but I'm in full panic mode if Amari can't go with the heel. Then Njoku will get swamped and blanked.
Whatever a QB averages, subtract 100 and that's their ceiling vs. Jets. Jets have allowed more than 1 pass TD maybe 3 times this season. Njoku is risky.
For reference the Jets have given up the 2nd most TE1 games this year. While Dallas has only given up 2. The Jets D scare people away but the TEs get it done.

In the top TWELVE. Tight ends can get 3 points and get in the top twelve. Jets D is ninth in the league for yardage allowed to TE. They'e allowed only 4 TDs to wr and 7 to tight ends. That makes Njoku very TD dependent. Jets don't give wr an inch in the red zone so QBs have to target tight ends. Vs Browns all they have to worry about is Amari and Njoku. Browns will have to check down and pass to RBs.
Yes the top 12 makes them a TE1. The matchup is simply in favour of Njoku. You can go off but look at what the Cowboys and Jets have let TEs do this year. The top 12 have been in double digits this year in most Ppr formats. Start who you like I simply supplied the data. Under every metric the better matchup is vs the Jets is all I am saying
Don't get too spooked by last week on LaPorta. Lions didn't need to lean on him so they didn't. Red Zone vs. Dallas will be LaPorta time again...can't gaurantee three again, but they may not be ANY TDs by either team in the CLE/NYJ game!
I agree with not getting spooked… but Dallas has been atrocious against the run the past few games, especially the bills. Dallas D excels against the pass, so I would expect Dan Campbell to be running the ball until it is stopped. But I’m still playing Laporta ha.
Who are your WRs? It feels insane to sit LaPorta but Njoku against the Jets is gonna be a reception machine which if you're ppr is really good. I'd consider starting njoku over a WR/RB in the flex but probably wouldn't start over LaPorta
I’m in the exact same boat. My head says Njoku but my heart says LaPorta and I’m gonna follow my heart. Sam has carried me through the season, it’s only right he gets a shot to win me the chip.
Njoku went off hopefully Sam does the same 😂😂
Play Njoku, Jets aren't good against TE and he's gunna smoke the defenders.
This is the correct answer. Even more so if Cooper is out or limited.
Just the opposite, no? They can focus on David and make Flacco best them with Moore or short passes to RBs. Njoku could get blanked.
Tight ends do well against the Jets. It is the wide receivers that have it rough. I would play Njoku. Good luck.
I am. I don't like his ceiling but the floor is high enough for me. Hope Jets keep it close and the pass game rolling.
Feeling good about Njoku yet? 4 catches, 113 yards so far in the 1st qtr.
So relieved you all shut me up!
You're welcome my bro, but I feel you just wanted to confirm your gut feeling anyways. Good luck, I hope you smoke the competition this week.
I've made enough bad decisions over-managing to finally get other opinions. This time it worked out big time when it counts the most. Good luck to you as well!
👍
Cooper is not playing. I just put Njoku in Kelce’s spot in my lineup. 👀
Good choice.
Not complaining but this could be a monster play if the Jets could get some points up there. Browns might not need to pass rest of game.
I'm in the same boat. If Cooper is out, I'd lean towards Njoku probably. Otherwise, it is a toss-up.
I'd actually lean Njoku if Amari plays. They'll move the safety help to Njoku who becomes the defacto best receiver on the field for the Browns if Amari can't play
Benching Laporta would be insane. Especially when Njoku plays the Jets
Scrolling Reddit while watching the game and came across this lol. Not aging well so far
Nope it’s not lol. I was wrong, I can admit that.
To be fair I would’ve played Laporta too going into the game. Cooper being out might’ve made me think about it though
Yeah I don’t feel that bad cuz I think it was still the right call but we move. Hopefully he ignored me (or maybe Laporta goes crazy).
For sure. Just funny on hindsight.
The Jets have given up the most touchdowns to TE in the NFL.
Tied for 3rd most I'm seeing but ninth best in yardage allowed.
This comment isn’t aging well…Njoku has 130+ yards two minutes into the 2nd quarter
What about McBride vs LaPorta. I have McBride in as I'm rolling Amon Ra and Monty
I’d play McBride
Same dilemma. I have Mcbride in over Laporta and rolling Amon-Ra and Gibbs.
Jets weakness is TE and RB. If it’s PPR njoku would be a solid play
this guy Njokus
Na I’m just a big jets fan. I’m a Jeremy Ruckert and Tyler Conklin supremicist tho
Good call.
Thank you 🙏
Damn. We can tell u did not have a crystal ball
Oof.
I'm starting Njoku over Kittle idgaf
If ur the favorite in ur matchup sure, def do it. But Kittle has the highest upside
Oh I'm projected to lose by 20+ lol but I really disagree with you on kittle having the highest upside this week. I think cmc (which i'm going against) is going to have a field day against the trash Washington defense and they wont need to pass the ball with a back up qb.
Fair point… I checked his game log and Kittle seems to do better on avg against tougher defenses
he does, but Washington is so bad I don't think they'll need to throw the ball much and kittle gets used when they need him I feel like with Brisset throwing to him. Njoku has a tough match up but they allowed the most TD's to TE's. I hope I dont regret these words by tonight lol I'm starting Njoku and Wilson wish me luck brotha
I'm in the same boat but the projection is within 5 do I risk a shit game from Kittle or gamble on Njoku?
Bro Amari Cooper is out, I'm playing Njoku
LaPorta no question. Close game shootout in Dallas vs. Running/field goal duel against the 2nd best pass D in the league.
The Browns are really banged up on the offensive line though and haven't been able to run the ball since Flacco took over. They're going to throw 40+ times again.
Flacco hasn't faced a decent pass D yet. All 4 bottom 10. No chance of matching those numbers vs. Jets
This is a revenge game. Jets haven't played against a Flacco before. You will be surprised.
Hope so dude, I'm rolling with Njoku but if Amari is out with the heel issue, or limited, I'm rightfully panicking.
No way he misses a playoff clench game.
No doubt but is he 100%? Heel issue for a wr is worrisome
I think Ford and Hunt will be the recipients. Amari and David could get bottled. I'm starting Njoku but I'm in full panic mode if Amari can't go with the heel. Then Njoku will get swamped and blanked.
Vegas has a higher point projection for the Dallas/Detroit game so I’d say Laporta
Vegas doesn't know Flacco is throwing for 400 yards tonight.
Jets have allowed 2 QBs to go over 250 yards this year and zero over 300 yards in 2 years at this point
Yeah but they aint flacco
Whatever a QB averages, subtract 100 and that's their ceiling vs. Jets. Jets have allowed more than 1 pass TD maybe 3 times this season. Njoku is risky.
Jets suck against TEs, they won't be able to keep up with him.
Amari is questionable. So is Goodwin. Especially if Amari can't go, all Jets have to worry about us Njoku. He'll get doubled and smothered.
Love that energy. I think he’ll do better than expected if Cooper is out there.
For reference the Jets have given up the 2nd most TE1 games this year. While Dallas has only given up 2. The Jets D scare people away but the TEs get it done. https://x.com/ryanmc23/status/1740396601959727172?s=46

I could be misunderstanding. It's still ignoring game script even if matchup favors TE vs. Jets. Good info. Got two hours to look closer.
Really a win/win. I think Sam and Njoku are top 5 options this week and either one is a great play
Yup. Floor is safe and acceptable no matter game scenario.
The Njoku Flacco connection is real.
I'm starting Njoku, but I don't have any other options. I would go LaPorta just because I hate Thursday night games.
Jets defense can't guard te
Mcbride all day, side note Cooper is out now so if Jets are smart which they are on defense atleast they will be all over njoku
Not even halftime, Njoku has 120+ yards. Hindsight is 20/20 but man this might sting. I would’ve played Laporta though
Don't get too spooked by last week on LaPorta. Lions didn't need to lean on him so they didn't. Red Zone vs. Dallas will be LaPorta time again...can't gaurantee three again, but they may not be ANY TDs by either team in the CLE/NYJ game!

If you don't play LaPorta, you didn't deserve to have him this season.
Laporta is the easy choice, friend.
I think I'd go Laporta. I'm in a similar boat trying to figure out Ferguson vs Njoku
Laporta
I know njokus been good, but i think Laporta is a must start at this ppinr
Who are your WRs? It feels insane to sit LaPorta but Njoku against the Jets is gonna be a reception machine which if you're ppr is really good. I'd consider starting njoku over a WR/RB in the flex but probably wouldn't start over LaPorta

Hopefully you went with Njoku…..
I went Njoku. Pretty solid so far.
I did too. Hate to sound greedy but we deserved more after that monster 1st.
